Chapter 1: I have changed

Long story short. First question: Who am I?

My name is Steve, I am 18 and I am my own boss. Sort of. I am a website designer. I live in a small flat

which I have inherited from my grandparents. Next question - what am I doing? Currently I am trying to

watch a show made for little girls but my internet signal is giving me hard time. Of course, that may happen

when the storm is coming ("Brace yourselves!")

Yes, it was genius idea taking my tablet and going to the top of my building, during the storm just

because of watching something that was made for people 10 years younger than myself. But no more

questioning of my actions. The signal on the roof was not any better than inside of my flat. I was hardly

able to force the buffer to load to the point where the intro began. As if that wasn't enough, it started

raining.

"Screw this", I said to myself and started to move myself back, when I heard a loud thunder. It was really,

really loud. I got startled, luckily I didn't drop the tablet. Well screw the tablet, luckily

nothing bad happened to myself. In shock, I ran down the stairs to chill. I have returned to my flat and

started closing all the windows. Suddenly another super loud thunder stroke and what happened next was

beyond my senses. Nothing... Nothing...

Did I fall unconscious or did I just die? I didn't not know at the moment. It was one of those moments when

your mind is just drifting and you don't know what is real and what not. When I woke up, I could not put

the details together. It could have been minutes, maybe hours. When my vision stopped being blurry, I found

myself lying on the floor. I was kind of disoriented. I tried to lift myself up but some things

were not right. When I moved my head, something fell in front of my eyes. Hey, I don't rremember my hair

being this long. Wait, what's going on? Was I sleeping for so long that my hair grew long? Well now when

the hair was all that I could see, I had no idea why I couldn't just stand up. I think I was lying on

my side but that should not be a problem. After a while I sighed. "Ah, come on!..."  - silence.

"Wait! What is with my voice?" "And  this hair!" I was so shocked by this voice that I was barely able to

form a sentence. I was panicking and all that I could say was "I'm a girl!"  Bravo, Steve, the 11th doctor

would be jealous of your drama queen acting. Except I was not acting. When I finally managed to move

my hair, I realized what is going on. (Well I doubt it was my hair, it was still black, or rather dark

brown, but this length was ridiculous).

So this is why I was unable to stand or even style my hair. Instead of my arms and legs there were 4

freaking hooves. I did not know how did my face look but it could probably resemble one of those

cartoonish memes saying "You cannot be serious". This was almost like some copy-pasted situation from any

cliché human-pony transformation fanfic. To say it the right way, I was freaked out. I was really freaked

out but my curiosity was even stronger than the shock of sudden change of species. It was fascinating.

Now I was expecting that I will have problems with walking or using the other abilities, depending on

being an earth pony, a pegasus or an unicorn. However, now when I was able to see, standing was actually

easy and it took me only a few minutes to adapt my walking style to quadruped. I admit this was weird

as hell but it was also something new. When I reached the mirror, I could actually see what was the

reason of my problems with moving my hair from my eyes. I had a horn. "OK, you unicorn, now tell

me who you are!"

Affirmative, talking to your mirror reflection is a sign of premanent insanity. But of course, not in

this case. This case was utterly crazy whatsoever. I still wasn't used to this voice but it was quite

funny. To take away the stress, I started singing to myself "This is my voice, my voice is amazing..."

Meanwhile I was trying what can the horn do and how can I control the magic. It was surprisingly easy.

At least the levitation, it felt as if I had invisible hands controlled by my mind. No, it was better,

I had much bigger reach than any hands could ever provide. I looked at the mirror once more.

"I don't know who you are but I am you only for a couple of minutes and I can levitate 8 objects

at the same time." I admit this was not bad at all but I was doing this just to take out the stress

connected to finding a way to turn back to my original self. I noticed that I even had a cutie mark on my

white flank, but I didn't know its meaning. The mark resembled the symbol you can often see on recycle

bins except it was more like a vortex. "Damn, does this mean my special talent is being a garbage man?"

I don't know but speaking like this with such high pitched cute voice did not feel right.

When I finally decided to go away from the mirror, I started feeling sharp pain in my head and suddenly

in the whole body, the loud thunder sound stroke again, even when the sky was clean long ago.

This time I stayed conscious and in an instant I felt myself being rather bigger, covered in familiar

cloth and suddenly much weaker. The things that were levitating in the air felt to the ground and

I fell on my belly.

I started examining my body just like the beforementioned 11th doctor, once again I looked into the mirror.

I was myself once again, but I was confused as hell. I don't do drugs or anything so what was this all about?

Dreams...

Magic, hell yeah. Well, who cares, if this event was actually real, there is no way this could happen again.

Or is it?
