The Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Date
It was a peaceful day in Ponyville, as ponies trotted and chatted. Fillies ran and giggled and pegasi flew across the blue sky. But no. Not for one pony. One pony named Pinkie Pie.
Pinkie ran frantically across the town, screaming and hollering as she knocked over residents and young fillies. Today was her 'Pinkie Shy' date and Twilight had brought Rainbow along.
"Sorry, but I have to hurry! It's an EMERGENCY," Pinkie stated to a salespony who was packing his belongings and headed down the road.
"Sorry, kid. I got to meet my brother at Horseshoe Dock by 3:00," he said solemnly, trotting off again
Though this time, Pinkie trotted away, towards Carousel Boutique.
Pinkie smiled eagerly as she raised a hoof to knock on the door. Her mind drifted off to her schedule as she frantically knocked at the highly decorated door. It swung open letting out a horrible screech and sqeak from the hinges. Rust was seen on it and the handle and the horned pony in the boutique showed herself.
Instead of the white fashionable unicorn, a lavender alicorn's stood tiredly at the door. The previous night, Twilight had helped Rarity with some things. She had stayed up keeping herherself awake with hot milk since she didn't have any cider. Bad idea. She fell asleep with half of her face bubbling of milk.
"Yeah, lack toes, I'll have your blousers ready in approximately negative six hundred and thirty eight seconds..." And at that very spot, Twilight Sparkle fainted.
Pinkie never had any time to call an ambulance, so she called Rarity who was sporting a green cowboy hat and a purple bow tie with a tuxedo. Pinkie ignored their strange behavior as she went over to Dash's house in the sky.
Rainbow Dash set herself on the floor, lifting thirty pound weights with her wings, determined to have Twilight drooling at her by tonight. Her wing strength improoved, but the weight nearly crushed her ribs as
Pinkie burst through the cloud wall.
"Hey, Dashie! Can I borrow your shower curtains? It's something really, really important!" she exclaimed as Dash drew her head back.
"Uh, for what now?"
"My date dress, silly!"
"Why do you need a shower certain for a-"
"Dashie, please... This is my chance to impress Shy, Shy!"
"Just.. No. I can't have ponies know I collect purple shower certains!"
"Pleeeeeeeeeeaa-" a furry blue hoof stuck into the pink mare's mouth as she growled.
"Do I dare even let you borrow my old sock?"
"Mmhm.."
"If I lend you my purple shower certain, will you get out of here sooner?"
"Mmhm.." Pinkie mumbled, as Rainbow released her hoof from the mare's mouth.
Within minutes, Pinkie left with her item. Rainbow went back to her excersizes, stopping every now and then to rub the sore spot.
Pinkie trotted down the streets speedily, stumbling onto a book. Getting herself safely off her face, Pinkie read the book spine.
"Top Ten Ways to Earn a Special Somepony. Hmm..."
An hour and a half later, Pinkie left the Day Spa, her mane silky with purple highlights in her tail. Smiling as she walked out the door, Pinkie prepared for her special date with her special somepony.
An hour later at Fluttershy's house, the butter yellow pegasus scurried about her tree like a squirrel. She soon got to the point where she would fall down the stairs and faint.
"Angel, I told you, and I am very sorry, but.. Um... The answer is-" Fluttershy stopped herself from what she was doing and went to answer the door.
To her surprise was Pinkie. No not that. The surprise was Pinkie was wearing a jewel necklace and a purple skirt with frills. Fluttershy almost lost consciousness, as her eyes fluttered (get it?) And she gulped.
"Oh, um... H-hi Pinkie... Lovely-er.. Uh nice outfit... Pinkie," Shy choked out. Her throat was dry as Pinkie lifted her hooves onto her cheeks giving a cute fish face.
"Um.. P-pinkie, what are you doing..." Shy backed up in fear as Pinkie duck-faced and danced around her living room. Hip-hop music started from the fourth wall as Shy screamed internally.
"N-narraor... What is happening..." She asked holding back tears as the house went wild. Shy desperately went to her knees and screamed at the top of her lungs for help, but nopony came.
"Um.. Narrator.. Couldn't you play, um, that Sweep remix.. Instead..."
As if on cue, Twilight came through the front door as if it wasn't even locked. The Pegasus groaned as twilight stepped in.
"Pardon me, Fluttershy, but... Is the date over.... Yet..." Twilight asked trailing off. Pinkie danced furiously on the glass table and hip hop music played. Fluttershy cowered under her chair for safety, sobbing. Twilight smirked. Then lifted up one of the pegasus' old brooms.
"Sweep sweep sweep..."
Um... This wasn't supposed to happen! I mean, I AM narrator for cheeseball's sake! Ugh... Let's change the story tags, shall we? I mean, this was supposed to be a calm, romantic ship-fic for Pinkishy and Twidash! But.. Well.. Awe.
Hearing the narrator, Fluttershy smiled as she handled the problem into her own hooves.
"Girls, we got work to do!"
"I'm so glad we could meet together here!" Pinkie cheered, biting into her buttered toast. Fluttershy muzzled her, as Twilight and Dash gave an audible "aww!"
Wrapping a wing around the cyan Pegasus, Twilight smiled.
"So this date turned out fine in the end, didn't it, Dashie?" Twilight asked as the sleepy Wonderbolt nodded and yawned.
"Mmhm," Rainbow mumbled, rubbing her sore spot.
Date at Canterlot Café! Better than disaster at Fluttershy's Tree, huh? =3
