Sitting right there in front of her was the being that was responsible for creating life itself. She could feel the power emitting from him, a power that easily dwarfed her own. "You poor creature," was the first thing he had said to her, and that sentence alone caused a shiver to travel up her spine.

"W-what do you mean?" she asked him. "You suffer the ultimate curse now and you haven't even realized it," He replied his voice full of sorrow. "What?" "You could be slowly torn to shreds and that pain would pale in comparison to what you have been condemned to suffer." In truth his answer terrified her, but also put more questions into her mind. "I don't understand," was her next question, the being just looked up at her with eyes full of sorrow, "You will." "What do you mean that I suffer the ultimate curse?" "That no curse could ever hope to match yours," His answers remaining ominous.

This continued for quite a while, she would ask him a question but she would always get an indecisive answer from him. "Stop being so ominous!" she demanded earning a look from the being which caused her mouth to go dry out of fear. "I would think an alicorn princess like you would be smarter than this." even so he could tell that she still did not understand what her curse was, which just saddened him more. "I want you to ponder what being an alicorn means."

Time passed as she thought about what he had just said. She then answered him, "Being an alicorn means that you are royalty and that it is your duty to rule." The being looked at her with some form of disappointment then told her something, "Being an alicorn is not what makes you royalty, it simply represents that you are." She looked at him confused, "But all of the alicorns I've seen are royalty." Again he looked at her with that saddened face of his, "Being an alicorn means that you represent something important, such as light and darkness which are Celestia's and Luna's traits, or love and friendship as with the case of you and princess Cadence."

Sadly she still looked confused, "But why is that a punishment?" This time he had some anger in his look, "Celestia thought that making you an alicorn would give you the power needed in order to spread friendship across Equestria, but in reality she condemned you to a fate worse than death." "Then why don't you answer me and tell me what my fate is!" Twilight shouted. The being simply looked at her with a face full of pity, "Life" was all he said. It had finally hit her, one of the traits of being an alicorn was eternal life. "How can you be the princess of friendship when all your friends whither away and die." The being stated.

Hours passed before Twilight managed to say something, "Why would she make me an alicorn then?" "Because shes arrogant." was his blunt reply, "She feels like she is the most powerful being in existence, seeing as how she has control over the sun, who can really blame her though she has been alive for over thousands of years she was bound to go insane at some point." "Your wrong Celestia is not crazy," Twilight shouted at him. "Then you are arrogant as well, you praise her as a goddess yet in reality she has a mere fraction of the power that a true goddess would have." Then without warning he stood up and grabbed Twilight, "W-what are you doing?" she asked scared out of her mind. "I'm sending you back, your time here is over!"

Twilight shot up in bed, looking around the empty dark room, she sighed realizing that it was only a dream. Yet in the back of her mind there was a small lingering thought, her friends will all grow old and die while she will remain alive for all of eternity.
