Opening her eyes to the dawn sunshine, Applebloom awoke to another day on the vast expanse of farmlands known as Sweet Apple Acres. Grumbling and rubbing her eyes, the young filly hopped out of bed, and was greeted by the familiar smell of fresh-cooked apple pancakes and sizzling sausage. Arriving at in the hallway accompanied by Big Mac, Granny stood with a concerned look on her face, as she asked, “Are you all right, Applebloom?...Applejack! what’re you doin’ back here all mornin’…is she alright?” motioning to Applebloom, who was still staring glassy-eyed into AJ’s room. “Oh, it’s nuthin’… she just stubbed a hoof s’all” Applejack replied, nervously kicking Applebloom out of her shocked stupor. “Yeah…that’s it alright…” said Applebloom rather unconvincingly, earning a harsh side glance from her older sister. “Well alright then…what d’ya say we all head downstairs for some breakfast b’fore it gets cold” Granny stated, turning away and heading down the stairs, leaving Big Mac standing on the landing with the his two sisters. “Applebloom, y’alright. The day was hot and the work hard, and by the end of it, Applebloom was drenched with sweat and ready for a nap. Having gone the entire day without a trace of her older sister, Applebloom set off in search of her elusive sibling.
