Last day in Baltimare(edited)
It was a warm, humid day in North Baltimare and the sun had just coming up over the bay. A golden yellow unicorn stallion with two purple stars and three yellow diamonds had just woken up to the sounds of the busy city.
He sighs as he opens his eyes and look at the clock next to his bed to see it was almost eight in the morning. Then just as he decides to get a little more sleep a knock on his door and the voice of his mother wakes him again.
“Star Shot time for breakfast,” his mother says through his door.
After blinking the sleep out of his eyes, then with a yawn and a good stretch he rolled out of bed to his hooves. He then walks over to his dresser that had a small mirror on it and proceed to straighten his dark chestnut mane, then place his favorite black trilby hat with a grey band on his head. After he was finish’s he went down stairs to breakfast and the start of the day.
As he was going down stairs he hears his mother and father talk about his move to PonyVille tomorrow. His mother was not happy about it and well just being mother trying protect her little colt. Star Shot rolls his eyes just before going in to the kitchen. When he enters the room, he saw his mother a light marine blue unicorn mare with long sandy blond mane and a stocky cream color Pegasus with black curly mane, tail, and black beard with little grey. They were both by the coffee maker his father trying to explain that he would be fine.
“Moon Shot dear he is of age and has to live on his own at some point!” He tries to explain.
“But why does he have to live so far way and why PonyVille?” his mother asks with frustration.
“Good morning all” he says as walks towards them.
His mother turns to look at him and put a smile on her face as try to hide her displeasure.
“Good morning baby boy. How are you feeling this morning?”
Make his way to get himself a cup of coffee he answers with a smile,
“I’m fine and I finish’s my packing last night and looking forward to seeing PonyVille again and Mom you don't have to worry about me. I have it all under control,” He says with a confident smile.
So, with heavy sighs his mother node her head and took a sip of her coffee and walk to her office to start her day as the runner of the family’s plumbing business, but as she did so she hugs her son and says with a sad smile “I know you do but does not stopping me from worrying,”.
Star Shot hug her back “Love you,” he says.
“I love you too baby and have a good day,” she responds.
Taking a deep breath and looking at his dad to which he got smile and he follow his wife to see what his day was going to be like. So, with a shake of the head and a smile he to head out to see what the day would bring.
On he's way to last day of work he made a stop by his favorite coffee place Big Hooves Coffee and got himself a spiced chi tea. When he got to work, he sees he's boss yelling at his replacement. He guessed that the poor stallion by the name of Silver Wrench had made a mistake and knowing his boss it was most like a small one. This is one of reason why he was glad that it was the last day he had to deal with his high and mighty boss.
“Hey boss man,” he says with smile.
His boss stops his chastising of the young stallion and turns to look at him with unhappy look “Good your here I like to talk to you in my office and Silver get back to work” he says.
He and his boss walk into his office and as they did Star look at the Silver and gave him sympathetic look. Once the office door closed his boss turns and began to speak
“I need you to reconsider your leaving I need ya here and I know that you want as raise and if you stay I’ll try to make that happen. Beside you still have a lot you could learn from me!” he says with smug look on his face.
“Well I'm sorry to say that I will not be changing my mind and as to learning from you sir I can say that I deftly have learn Quite a bit from you,” Star Shot responds with smug smile of his own.
His boss then threw a bit bag at him and said with an anger look on his face “Ok then you’re done Get Out Kid!!” response.
Star Shot caught the bag with his magic and did as he was asked with smile on his face just happy to be done with the hateful stallion. As he left Silver watch him with a sad look on his face and Star wish him good luck.
Star step back into the sunny day and he considers what to do with the rest of he's day now that he didn't have to work. As he was thinking and taking a drink of his chi, he decides to go see his friend TG (Torque Gear) at his work at the local carriage shop. Once he arrived, he saw that TG was with customer and deiced to wait till he was finish’s and starts to look around the retail side of the shop at the different items that could be added to a carriage to customize it.
As he was looking he hears his name “Hey Star how’s it going brother?” TG asks.
Star turns to him and responds, “Not too bad bud and how about you,”.
“I can’t complain works been steady and the weather been good,” TG says with a smile.
“Hey TG you free for one last lunch?” Star Shot asks
TG responds, “Sure brother, just let me let my boss know and we can go” His boss being his wife who ran the office.
While Star was waiting, he hears their conversation about deadlines on one side and how he was leaving soon on the other. He chuckles
when could just see his friend pulling pup dog eyes on his wife as she sighs and says “Fine, but don’t be too long. We still have a lot of work to do honey”.
“Thanks babe” TG says as he trots out of her office.
TG walks over to him with a smile and ask “Freebirds sound good to you Star?”
Star Shot taps his chin and pretends to think. “Hmm that’s sounds good to me brother” he says.
With that they made their way to Freebirds. Once there they order their food then sat down at a table and they begin talk about their day, Star shot talk about what happen on his last day of work to which TG just shook his head at what had transpired. TG talk about how his shop and home life was going which was going well.
After lunch was finish’s they said their good byes “Take care of your self Star and don’t forget to drop me a line once in a while Ok,” TG states with a sad smile and a hug for good measure.
“I will TG,” Star Shot returning the hug.
So, with lunch done and not much else to do Star decides to head home. When he got home he was greeted by his younger sister a cream yellow colored Pegasus with the same chestnut brown mane as him but longer and with lite brown highlights. Her cute mark of a book beaker and flaks denoted her skills in learning and passing that knowledge on to others.
Star shot was proud of his sister and all that she has done in her life so far.
“Hi bro what are you doing home so early?” she asks.
“Hey Stellar I got fired” he responds with a smile.
He then recountes what had happen. She shook her head at what had happen and with look of annoyances
“Well he has all ways was a jerk and idiot!” she says in an irritated tone.
“Well I was leaving anyways, and it just gives me more time to prepare, also spend more time with family” Star says with a smile.
With that settled he went up to his room and grab his bags to set next to the door for the mornings trip. After that was done he decides to see what his sister was up to. He finds Stellar in her room looking over some scrolls and taking some notes. No doubt studying for a test.
“Hey sis what are you up to?” Star inquired.
With little of jump “AHH dang it Star Shot don’t sneak up on me like that!” she says with annoyed look on her face and hoof to her chest to try calming her breathing.
Chuckling Star respond “Sorry about that I wasn’t trying to scare you and just wondering what you were up to,”.
As she turns back to her work she answer “I’m working on some notes for next week exam on pony psychology”.
“Oh ok, so how’s it going?” Star asks.
“It’s going ok I’m about done with the first part” She answers.
With that she returned to her work and Star decides that he could use a nap. So, he made his way over to the couch and lay down. Two and half hours later he was awoken from his nap by the sound of his dad coming home and going into the office to talk to his lovely office mare as his dad would often say.
Star Shot got off the couch and stretch out his back and legs. After that he made his way to the office to see how their day was. When he got to the door he hears them chatting about the day and what tomorrow was looking like.
“Hi guys how was your day?” He asks.
“Eh ok had another do it your selfer break his pipes, but otherwise can’t complain,” his father responds.
“Speak for self this mare yelled for twenty minutes at me because we couldn’t get too her today!” his mother says with eyes rolling and frown on her muzzle.
“Sorry honey” his dad says with hug and kiss on the muzzle.
An hour later Star Shot and his family sat at the dinner table eating and chatting about their day.
“What time in the morning does your train leave tomorrow?” His mother asks.
“Eight in the morning, so I’ll have to leave at seven to get there on time” Star answers.
After dinner Star and his sister put away the left overs and clean the dishes, as they did so Stellar Light ask “Hey Star are you nervous about moving to PonyVille?”.
He turns and sigh when look at her “Well yes a little, but I also excited. I know mom not happy about it, but I think it will a good thing to live somewhere else for a while,” he says small smile.
“Well I’ll miss you bro, his sister says with a sad smile of her own.
With kitchen clean, both siblings left to their rooms on the way kissing mother good night. Once Star reach his room, he sighs and does one last check that he hadn’t forgot pack anything and double check is list. He also checks his train ticket to make sure he remembers the time right. Now that he was sure that all was ready for his grand journey tomorrow he got in to bed and within a few minutes he was asleep.
“Beep Beep Beep” was the sound that Star Shot awoke to and with a hoof he smacks the off button on the alarm. He yawns and trudges his way to the bath room to ready himself for the day’s travel. Once he was done with that he went back to his room to grab his saddle bags and then went down stairs to get a cup of coffee. As he enters the kitchen he found his dad grabbing himself and his mother their coffee.
“Good morning Star you ready to go?” his dad asks.
“Yep pretty much. How’s mom this morning?” he responds.
“She is doing ok little sad that your leaving in little bit, but she will be ok” he answers with sad smile.
Star Shot got himself a cup coffee and apple, then went into the living room to enjoy his breakfast. After he was done Star went to the sink clean his cup and put it back cupboard and look at the clock that read six forty-five.
“Well almost time to go,” he says to himself.
“Good morning baby boy. You ready to go?” he heard his mother ask.
He turns to answer with a smile “Good morning Mom. Yes, I’m ready,”
A few minutes later Star and his Family were out the door on the way to the train station. About forty minutes later they arrived and waited for the train. Once the train arrived, and let the passengers off, as the crew got the train ready to go to the next stop. While this was happening, Star Shot hug and says good bye to his family.
“I love you guys. Take care of yourself and I'll write when I can,” he says with sad smile.
Taking his bags with his magic. He made his way on to the train he stows his bags and found a window seat, as he did the train starts to move and looking out of the window he wave at his family good bye till they were out of sight.
The train ride was several hours long, and Star Shot read a book to pass the time. As the train starts to arrive in PonyVille he saw what look like Princess Celestia herself flying off in a chariot. As train came to a stop. Star grab his bags and made his way off, as he did Star Shot was just slack jawed at what he was seeing. PonyVille look like tornado just came through.
As he made his way off the platform he stop an earth pony mare and asks “What happen here?”.
The mare stops and looking at him and answer in southern draw “We had bit of pest problem sugar cube and the town is a plum disaster area!”.
“Well guess it’s going be more adventure than I thought” He says following the mare into the mess that was PonyVille.
The fun is only just started for Star Shot.
