After a tragedy was discovered by a lone stallion, in Manehatten, he was forced to make a choice between his nature or to accept a dying mother's final wish... Now, the dark gray unicorn stallion raises a sweet pegasus filly on his own, in a small beach town called "Sunny Cove". Their life is quiet, and rather happy compared to the life he found her in back in Manehatten, which means Tidal Wave is keeping the promise to her mother. After all, despite everything he had been in the past, the stallion was still a former noble himself. Though, a dark presence slowly arises near the town and threatens the very new life he has created for her.

Will the stallion revert to his former self, to protect his new charge and daughter from this dark presence, or will six mares discover who he really is and expose him for a monster? And who are these three strange ponies that suddenly appeared out of the wind, claiming they are in Sunny Cove on business, and yet mostly seen hanging around Tidal Wave's Surf Shop?
