Fallout Equestria: Awakening
First there was a mechanical hiss, then I fell flat on my face.
"What the fuck?!" I shouted into the pitch blackness, "Where am I?" I jumped to my hooves with a metallic clang. The floor was metal and cold, no the whole room was freezing. As I made these earth shattering observations, the lights burst into life! Blinded, I threw myself to the ground and buried my head in my hooves. Minutes passed before I could gather enough courage to peek out. The room was spacious, with rows of... tube thingies.
Sweet Celestia, what is going on here?
"Good morning Moonlight Solaris, you have been asleep for Two-hundred and -krzzzt- information not found. Error Error Error Equestria Net sync failed. This station has exceeded its operational parameters by... SYSTEM FAILURE. Restart initiated all systems shutting down."
The bright, blinding lights were replaced by a sinister red lighting. I stepped down off of the platform. I was weak, very weak. So it wasn't surprising when I face-planted yet again. Whatever had been done to me had left me tired and exhausted; coupled with the fact that I couldn't figure out who I was, had me feeling like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Ha
Well, if you couldn't laugh at yourself, then what was the point of comedy? I slowly rose to my hooves like a newborn foal, took a step and stumbled, catching myself on a tree branch. Wait... tree branch? I looked down at the branch in question to discover it was the leg of a long dead unicorn sticking out of the open tube next to mine. But something was wrong with the unicorn, it was moving very slowly. Despite clearly being hundreds of years dead, the unicorn turned to look at me and let out a soft, dry hiss -- then it tried to bite me. I froze, to horrified to move as the ghoul unicorn thing slowly brought its mouth to my leg. I was screaming at my brain to do something, anything! Jerk my hoof away! Run! Scream! Fight back!
The hatch hissed closed with a sickening crunch, snapping the unicorns head off which thunked to the floor as the lights tried to return and blew out in their effort. The head stared up at me from the floor, still slowly gnashing its teeth at my hooves. That's when I started screaming. I screamed long and hard. I screamed until my screams were broken up by bloody hacking coughs.

When I was finally able to pull myself together, my throat felt like I'd gargled with razor blades and I found speech painful if not impossible. I have to get out of here I jumped to my hooves and ran to the door at the far side of the room, crunching through dried blood along the way. When I bounced off the door I discovered two things: One, It was metal and two, THE DAMN THING WOULDN'T OPEN!
"FUCK YOU, DOOR!" I croaked, as I pounded on the indignant door. I switched to pushing against the door with all my might -- in my rage I didn't notice the the magical glow surrounding the door until the door was ripped from its frame and thrown across the room behind me nearly taking my head off.
"I have a horn!?" I exclaimed, my anger grew as I tried to see my forehead. I eventually settled on bringing a hoof up and tapping on the... appendage? Yeah, that sounds right. What's next wings? I shot an excited glance behind me only to be met with my dark purple coat and a hint of my blood red mane. Damn, no such luck. "So Mister Horn why didn't you help with that scary monster pony?!"
The grumble of my stomach was my answer.
Okay, so it wasn't all so bad, the room I busted into was packed with food, 200 year old food... but food none the less. Despite being so old the food was still tasty, especially the Cherry Fancy Buck Snack Cakes! I sat down and washed my meal down with a bottle of water. The room was much smaller than the tube room, compared to it I was basically in a closet. Assorted foods were scattered across the floor. As my eyes scanned the they settled on a pile of bones in the corner, unicorn bones to be specific if the horn was a good indicator.
"What happened here?"
The unicorn had apparently shot itself in the in the head, just under the horn with the pistol falling next to it. A pistol would come in handy if I encountered any more monsters. I bent down to pick it up, when I remembered I'm apparently a unicorn, so I sat back and tried levitating the gun to me with my magic.
It's not as easy as it sounds.
While I did manage to float it over to me, I also manged to crush it into a small not-very-gun-like ball. I'm not sure if that's normal or not. If so, that would make unicorns really powerful. Oh, that would also make me really powerful! Watch out world, Moonlight is here and he is a total badass! Speaking of world, where in the world am I? I don't see any windows so I guess that's a question for later. For now though I need to get out of here.
