Changing Time
Finding out more about him
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Hello Candy, I'm guessing you want to know why you're here." Luna said calmly.
"Uh, yea!" I said, "As a matter a fact I do!"
"Calm down, you're here for two reasons actually." Luna said, "One of which being we have successfully contained your mother for now."
"Well that's good," I said, "but what's the other reason?"
"John, I believe you wanted to answer this one, and Candy, don't worry about him getting upset, I can cast a spell if he goes too far." Luna said as John limped forward.
"When I said They I was referring to an ancient type of creature that is native to Equestria. However, I didn't know that until Luna told me in my sleep." John said, remaining completely calm.
"I have been waiting for these creatures to return, for they have teamed up with Nightmare Moon in the past." Luna said in an upset tone, "I have seen John's dreams, and when I saw these creatures invade them, I knew neither of you were safe."
"That's why you went to Canterlot instead of Doc." I said, "But that doesn't explain who 'they' are, can't you show me Luna?"
"I'm afraid not, unless you fall asleep." Luna said, I didn't want to sleep without my music box or my dream potion, John noticed the look on my face when Luna suggested sleep. Then he pulled the other music box he used out of his mane and passed it to me.
"This mane is useful for storing small things." John said with a small smile.
"Thanks John, it's enough to get me to sleep after last night." I quickly fell asleep after saying that.
In my dream I was greeted by these horrifying creatures, they looked somewhat similar to changelings, only they had two horns, and were dark brown. Luna then woke me up.
"You saw them, I could tell." Luna said.
"How?" I asked.
"Well you did moan and cringe in your sleep." John said.
"How do they know about me, or even John?!" I asked.
"You remember what I am, right Candy?" John asked
"They're after time lords aren't they." I said, suddenly very worried.
"I'm afraid they want the time lords first so they can get more power on their side, then they go after ponies." Luna said
"But what can we do to stop them?!" I asked urgently.
"I have been working on something that might help, however it is highly unstable and could potentially be very dangerous. But Luna probably has something." John said.
"Nice try John, you know why I called Candy here. I have a lab set up for you and I know about your teleportation devices." Luna said.
"Yea, and with me as a partner we can get this done tonight!" I said, right before Doc showed up behind me.
"Blast, I was looking forward to testing out my device." John said, frowning.
"Finally I found you two!" Doc said, still looking at his watch, "The two wierdos got away, but at least I was able to find you guys."
"Hey Doc." John said, "Why are you here?" he asked, sounding kind of worried.
"I was looking for you, John. It's rude to teleport uncontrollably to someplace else while your with someone else." Doc joked.
"Enough with the Jokes, why are you here?" John asked once more.
"To make sure everything is fine." Doc said.
"John is this your father?" Luna asked, "I could never find out any of his dreams, nor could I find any pony's dreams that proved they were your parents so excuse me asking."
"Well, Luna, if I wouldn't let you figure it out in my dreams then I guess I can't tell." John said
"John just answer her." I said, hoping for him to at least be truthful, "If you don't truthfully answer her I will."
"I let ponies know stuff if I know I can trust them with such knowledge. If my mind won't let her figure it out then something is up." John said, completely serious.
"John she looks in your mind to help you." I said.
"And it is possible that you just don't wish for any pony to see your thoughts. Candy it's alright." Luna said.
"Certain thought, horrific things, deaths of others, things that will haunt you for life, ponies being ripped apart, entire planets being destroyed. The usual." John said casually. Luna and I just stared and let our jaws hang down.
"What? It's normal, right?" John asked, confused.
"Not in Equestria John." Doc whispered.
"Oh, OH RIGHT! They don't have Daleks and all that other stuff!" John said. Luna and I just stood there, still staring.
"Wait you've told me about this, why am I surprised?" I said as I realized that.
John just laughed, "Stay out of my head." Luna however, was still staring. "She's the princess, shouldn't she know about these things?" John asked.
"She's a princess, and she hasn't faced anything quite as bad as entire planet being destroyed." I said to John, reminding him that he hasn't quite gotten used to the ways of Equestria yet, even though it's been over a year.
"Entire civilizations?" John asked.
"Up to entire empires, but not entire planets." I said.
"How were they destroyed?" John asked.
I decided to brave up since I've let it go, "My dad destroyed the entire empire, the rest were things such as Nightmare Moon, my mom, Discord."
"Did they rebuild everything? That must have taken a long time." John said.
"A thousand years." I said in return.
"Can we get off the subject of destruction?" Doc asked.
"Yes please." Luna said in return, "John, you and Candy go talk in the lab I have set up for you, while I talk to Doc here."
"I wish I could have tested J-7469." John said.
"You mean the robot we've been working on?" I asked as we limped to the lab.
"Yes, that." John said as we reached the door, "I am so close to getting the Cyber pony parts installed for everything to work properly!"
"Well," I opened the door, only to reveal a robot pony in the middle of the room, "I may have thought ahead."
John gasped. "J-7469! You're here!" He shouted.
"Yes master." I said in a robot voice.
"Oh hah hah, he won't sound like that, at least. I don't think so." John said. Then he mumbled something under his breath.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Nothing! Let's get to work." He said.
After about three hours J-7469 was ready to be tested. While John was preparing I was finishing up my own little project, an automatic shielding device, or ASD for short. It was programmed to automatically protect John, Doc, or I whenever danger comes. John was ready to test J-7469, so he called me over.
"Candy! It's ready! Get the lazers!" John yelled.
"I set them up already, start the test!" I yelled back.
"Alright, should I type the coordinates in normally or in my favorite Font?" John asked.
"Normally, just to be safe." I said.
"Fine." He said while typing in all of the codes and everything.
"Test run of J-7469 starting in ten! Nine! Eight!" I counted down, "Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three! Two! One!!!" J-7469 started up as planned.
