Changing Time

Today is the only day this week that I'm not thinking about my newfound art skills. I needed a break from planning, and I'm glad I decided to take a day just for myself! According to Doc, I don't have to stay calm all the time because my injuries healed just enough three weeks ago, and I am personally glad that I can allow myself time to just fly around town!

I had taken the train to Ponyville so that I had a calmer environment for me to just fly. I crashed a lot but it was nothing compared to what I had just experienced a few weeks ago. One time when I crashed however, I fell towards a black and red colt, with a black and red pentagram for a cutie mark.

"Look out!" I yelled, right before crashing into him.

"OW!" we both yelped upon impact.

"Sorry, are you alright?" I asked, rubbing my head. When I looked up at the colt I was surprised to see his eyes were glowing bright red.

"What was that for?!" the colt yelled. All I could do was sit there and shudder, I decided to see if I could figure anything out about him by using my abilities. When I tried however, I was shocked. I yelped as my hair changed from dark green with a red stripe, to all red. The colt's eyes stopped glowing and I was only more terrified.

"You're half demon too?" the colt said. I just stayed there, scared and confused. "Hey, it's alright. I won't hurt you."

"H-Half d-d-demon?" I asked, terrified at the thought of such a thing.

"Yeah...long story..."

"W-Well...I'm half changeling, and m-my dad was King Sombra," I explained, "So I guess you could sort of consider me half demon."

"Really? My dad was a pony, but King Sombra was his brother!"

"Really? Wait, then how come I look like you now? I'm technically not half demon." I thought for a second before figuring it all out, "Unless my abilities...of course!"

"Your what now?" the colt asked.

"Long story. What's your name? Mine is Candy."

"Sparrow, nice to meet you cousin!" Sparrow smiled, and I returned the look. My hair faded back to dark green with a little bit of red after that.

Sparrow showed me where he lived, and introduced me to his friends who were also half demon. Ace, who looked similar to Sparrow only with no cutie mark, and Bella, a red and black filly with no cutie mark. I told them nearly everything, and they told me about themselves. Sparrow explained to me how his demon side allowed him to have all these neat powers, and Ace showed me a few of them. Bella explained how they can sometimes get a little out of control without some pony to keep them in check.

Later that week I woke up on Sparrow's couch after a sleepover at his place, only to sense the presence of another changeling. The thing that scared me, was that this changeling felt a little too familiar. I decided to leave a note for Sparrow thanking him for having me over, and head out into town to investigate. Sparrow lived right by the marketplace, so I checked there first. I sensed that I was as close as I could get to the other changeling, but I only saw a few sales ponies, Doc, and this purple filly with turquoise hair. I almost said hi to Doc, until I realized that he was watching over the lab in Canterlot for me. I suspected it was Doc from the past, because he told me that I might see another him soon. The thing that I was wondering about, was why I was sensing another changeling, and not another timelord. I was going to go towards the apple cart, when Doc went over there and started talking to the purple filly. I didn't want to start any conversations, so I just started limping over like I was just another passer by. I stared at the ground and avoided looking at Doc and the filly. When I looked up again, the filly was gone, and Doc was simply picking out an apple.
