Luna's wish
when you wish upon a star...
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIf I had known what my wish would do I don't think I would have wished it. But then again, I was having a bad day. I was plagued with nightmares of people screaming in fear and laughing at the same time. In what was normally my realm I had no control. I could do nothing when smoky black tendrils wrapped around me. I could do nothing when nightmare moon came back for revenge. I could do nothing as all the pony's in my dreams got swept away to another dimension one single blast. I could do nothing as I had one thought over and over. She is to powerful, I am to powerful. I woke from my fitful slumber and slowly trudged down the endless hallway with Identical doors thinking about my dream. That horrible nightmare only strengthened my resolve on how alicorn me is to powerful and uncertain to hold the power that I do. Celestia was already on her throne being the punctual sunbutt she is. People had even already started to meet and talk, an easy light feeling was the mood of the morning, however everyone turned stiff and unmoving when I entered the room. I immediately knew what they were thinking, and answered in response "it has been many moons since my transformation. Your worry is misplaced." I thought It was enough to soothe the worry's of all the pony folk. But I could've never been more wrong. "But you never raised the moon! What were we supposed to think?!" My first reaction was the naive assumption that the pony's were wrong. How could they be right? I went back to the events of last night, I was having... Daymares? eveningmares? I don't know. Then it struck me, I never raised the moon. Celestia did. Or, was at least supposed to. I'm about to ask her if the sun was up the whole night but her expression says it all. My eyes go wide with disbelief but I mask it and sit down to the side of celestia. It takes the better part of the morning to assure everyone that I am not turning into, *quote* "a hideous creature that will destroy equestria and stop at nothing" Yes. Very flattering imagery of me you just shoved in everyone's heads. Later in the day when not many people were in the castle, I took the opportunity to ask about the moon not rising. I leaned over and whispered in her ear. "Did the moon really not rise? I was sure that I heard a spell being cast." Celestia shudders and gives an answer that no one, not even me, zecora or even starswirl could have predicted. "sister, I have made a grave mistake. I have released three of the wishens."
