The Light and Dark of worlds
It's the middle of the night and the moon is full. My work is far from done tonight as a client walks through the door. "How can I help you today?",I lamented while I organized my papers for another case into one pile. My potential client has a tail and a straight gray mane with a beige trench coat and a panama hat to slightly match or something. I'm not too good with clothes. Anyways,Her face said it all and it said grief and self hatred. Someone close to her might've been wronged and it might have been her fault. She walked toward the desk and throws down a vanilla folder and out spills a purple envelope with a red wax stamp and fat stacks of cash.
This client meant business and just became a high priority on my list. Yeah yeah call me greedy or a dirty detective but a home and office aren't going to pay themselves.
My client began to speak. "I have a friend who framed for murder since we accidentally stumbled on a crime scene and since my friend curiously picked up a strange stick and we figured out that it was a murder weapon. But by the time we figured it out the cops who were searching for the body found her with the murder weapon and before I know it they dragged her away. She is now in custody and is probably getting a crash course in how the Dallas police department treats ponies. The whack job who still did it is out there and I need someone to bring them to justice." I begin to ask a question but my client raises her hoof to indicate she's not done speaking. "Also yes,I would like this done before the portal closes,two days in advance if possible." I reflect upon on her statement.
"Your case is a predicament most definitely but I'll have to be kept anonymous so the district attorney doesn't accuse me of providing biased evidence and worse yet the police charging me with Vigilante Charges,But nonetheless I accept." My client slightly relaxed and pulled out some strange device. The obvious short sensation of pain hit my shoulder and I started to lose feeling in my arm and started to lose consciousness and it spread so fast that all I could think was fuck. I was knocked out for god knows how long. I woke up with a distant pain in my shoulder of course. As I heard the loud clacking of tracks and the slight rocking of the room. Clearly I was on a train. I tried to stand up so I could keep myself awake and try to see everything was still in my vest but of course my .32 revolver was missing and my bowie knife also. Anyways,The train's interior had a magenta carpet with yellow swirls and velvet seats and stained wood walls. Also a Bar with a few beer taps and a few bottles of wine and champagne. I look right of me and there's a pool table and an air hockey table as well. If I was invited and this wasn't presumably the last train I would ever ride,then I'd be giddy but alas the opposite is true and my client/kidnapper had some explaining to do. Speak of the devil she arrives as I finish that thought.
"I hope your shoulder is alright,I didn't mean for things to get out of hand as you humans say.",She calmly said. "Well,I've dealt with worse but still might I say that my trust of you has severely dropped. Also you have a lot of explaining to do or this case will be dropped. ",I say with way more venom than I mean to convey. Curse my traitor of a voicebox.
She looked slightly offended at my statement but I only slightly cared. I grabbed my notebook and took out the stylus from it's cover and wrote down the date which is the fifth of november cause this day is surely one to remember. Several minutes pass and some things were learned within that time mostly about my client,well who I thought was my client is actually my transporter . Which I find weird obviously but nonetheless she must be a feast for a stallion's eyes not that I'm attracted to her actually. However her personality doesn't have much meat to it. Nothing much to it,or at least seemingly. As a detective I'm intrigued by her seemingly boring yet calm demeanor although a bit shy which is why she's working up the courage to briefing me as I'm writing this entry to my journal. Or so I thought while being so invested
Note to self:Maybe not be so specific about the small when unneeded. "Hey are you even listening?!? You've been writing in that celestia damn journal for 30 seconds! Had I known that journal would be such a obstacle to talking you then I would've taken it away a long time ago!" She grabbed my journal out of my hand and chucked it into the next room which I assume contains equestrian guards.
I clear my throat and begin to speak ,But I try to pick my words a bit more carefully with this subject so I can at least have a chance of getting off this train without more pain being added to my experiences of the day. I smoothly walk to a chair and get comfortable in said chair. I motion for uh... "I don't think I got your name. It would be great If I could get it", I stated. She said she would like to be called Limestone or Li for short. Limestone,what a peculiar name for a transporter or even a kidnapper for that matter. "Alright now I'm listening,continue."
