Spike's new friend

Octavia is sitting in her room trying to figure out ideas for new music to play for a special show for the four princesses.

This has caused her a great deal of stress,and this is easily noticed by anypony who takes a peek of her room,because crumbled up papers and quills fill the floor of her room.

She has no time to notice this as her performance for the princess's gets closer with every passing minute,but she hasn't created anything new and she feels as if she may never do so if she has no magical idea pop in her head.

She believes a quiet walk may help her clear her head and hopefully find an idea for music to play. She walks down her stairs and says "Bye Vinyl, I'm going for a walk,but I'll see you soon." and she continues down the stairs and walks around Ponyville. She looks at all the wonders of Ponyville,but does not look ahead and she bumps into an unsuspecting little dragon by the name of Spike Sparkle.He is is getting supplies for his friend/mom/sister/boss/ Princess Twilight Sparkle.

They crash into each other and Spike says "Sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." Octavia replies "The fault is mine I should have looked where I was going." she realized that she had bumped into a dragon and Said "Sorry for bumping into you ...."

Spike said " My name is Spike and I was just helping Princess Twilight by doing a chore for her,if you don't mind my asking what is your name."

Octavia then told him " My name Octavia Melody and I was just was walking around hoping to find inspiration for a song I could play for the four princesses."

"So ,which instrument do you play?"Spike asked

" Oh I play the cello for the Canterlot Orchestra. "She replied.

" Do you play any instrument?"She asked.

"I play the piano." said the dragon.Then a long silence occurred between the two individuals.Neither of them knew what to say next,until Spike finally broke the ice and said “Well it's getting pretty late so I should probably head back to the castle.”

Until now Octavia had not noticed that the sun was beginning to set.She replied “I should probably go back home too.”

She began to head back to her house when a small dragon interrupted this trip and said “Do you want to do something tomorrow.”

She replied “ I would like that very much.”

After Octavia finally left Spike mentally high five himself because he would finally spend some time with a pony he was fond of,since he finally realized that his relationship with Rarity was going to remain just as friends,he finally was able to explore his options for ponies to have a real relationship with.
