//-------------------------------------------------------// Spike's new friend -by SOAD brony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Octavia is sitting in her room trying to figure out ideas for new music to play for a special show for the four princesses. This has caused her a great deal of stress,and this is easily noticed by anypony who takes a peek of her room,because crumbled up papers and quills fill the floor of her room. She has no time to notice this as her performance for the princess's gets closer with every passing minute,but she hasn't created anything new and she feels as if she may never do so if she has no magical idea pop in her head. She believes a quiet walk may help her clear her head and hopefully find an idea for music to play. She walks down her stairs and says "Bye Vinyl, I'm going for a walk,but I'll see you soon." and she continues down the stairs and walks around Ponyville. She looks at all the wonders of Ponyville,but does not look ahead and she bumps into an unsuspecting little dragon by the name of Spike Sparkle.He is is getting supplies for his friend/mom/sister/boss/ Princess Twilight Sparkle. They crash into each other and Spike says "Sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." Octavia replies "The fault is mine I should have looked where I was going." she realized that she had bumped into a dragon and Said "Sorry for bumping into you ...." Spike said " My name is Spike and I was just helping Princess Twilight by doing a chore for her,if you don't mind my asking what is your name." Octavia then told him " My name Octavia Melody and I was just was walking around hoping to find inspiration for a song I could play for the four princesses." "So ,which instrument do you play?"Spike asked " Oh I play the cello for the Canterlot Orchestra. "She replied. " Do you play any instrument?"She asked. "I play the piano." said the dragon.Then a long silence occurred between the two individuals.Neither of them knew what to say next,until Spike finally broke the ice and said “Well it's getting pretty late so I should probably head back to the castle.” Until now Octavia had not noticed that the sun was beginning to set.She replied “I should probably go back home too.” She began to head back to her house when a small dragon interrupted this trip and said “Do you want to do something tomorrow.” She replied “ I would like that very much.” After Octavia finally left Spike mentally high five himself because he would finally spend some time with a pony he was fond of,since he finally realized that his relationship with Rarity was going to remain just as friends,he finally was able to explore his options for ponies to have a real relationship with. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 After about five to ten minutes Spike and Octavia finally arrive at Octavia’s house.To their surprise the white unicorn with electric blue hair was not around, so Spike and Octavia were able to go straight to Octavia’s room to work on music for her concert for the princesses. Spike finally broke the silence and said,” Wow, even Twilight doesn't leave her room this messy after a night of very vigorous studying.”This caused the gray mare to blush because she hadn't realized how out of control her mess had gotten. Octavia said,”Well I had been so busy trying to create music that I didn't notice how badly my room had gotten.” Spike asked Octavia,”Would you like help cleaning your room?” Octavia said,”Well I don't want to be a bother,but yes I do need help with cleaning my room.”she looked at her room and saw it would be almost impossible for her to clean this by herself. She and Spike began to clean her room and after about 30 minutes they had completed the almost impossible task. After they finished Octavia said,”Thank you Spike,I wouldn't have been able to clean my room without your help.”She had forgotten the reason why she had invited Spike over to her house in the first place. Spike then asked,”So should we get started making music now?” Octavia then said,” We will,I just have to look for the paper I wrote my sheet music for the concert.” She went through her stuff and finally found it and she went downstairs with Spike to her music room which had a great variety of musical instruments which she and other used when producing music. Spike spots a piano near the room a walks over to it and Octavia gets her cello and her sheet music and begins to play.As she plays Spike notices somethings in her song that didn't belong and he told her what can replace those errors and he played along to her song and she noticed how much better it sounded when they played together. She asked Spike,”Spike could you play for the princesses with me?” Spike thought about her offer and replied,”I would love to perform for the princesses with you,it would also be a good opportunity to see the princesses again.” They played until it was nighttime and then Spike realized it was getting late and he said bye to Octavia and walked home to the castle then he walked into the castle trying to avoid Twilight,but he didn't notice when he opened the door that Twilight was standing by the door and she lectured him about how he shouldn't have been out that long and how she worries about him and he finally explained that he was at Octavia’s house playing music with her and they lost track of time and he came here as fast as he could. She told him to just go to sleep and they would talk in the morning about this.He went into his room and went to sleep and his dreams were very pleasant and about playing music with Octavia. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Spike was finally at home and Twilight asked “Spike what took you so long I only told you to do a few things?” Spike said “I was just talking with some pony and I guess we both lost track of time. “ Well at least you are here now,but you need to go to bed because a small dragon such as yourself should not be up as long as you were." Said Twilight. Spike then was thinking and remembered “Twilight tomorrow I am going somewhere with somepony so I will try to do my chores for you tomorrow in the morning .” Twilight said .“Okay Spike,well go to sleep soon.” Spike then went to his bed and went to sleep and his dreams were filled with images of Rarity and Spike being broken and replaced with images of Spike and Octavia and he was never this happy knowing he will never be with Rarity. After a few hours of this he finally woke up and made Twilight breakfast.He did all his chores for the day and said to Twilight “ I am heading out for the day,bye.” Twilight didn't seem to notice so he just went. As soon as he got out of his house he realized he didn't tell Octavia any specific place or time they would go to that place. He went around town trying to find where the fuck Octavia lived and was told the address by some little sorry fuck probably some little motherfucking stalker or something but that fucking shit didn't matter because at least he found Octavia's house and he went to knock on the door of her house but instead of finding a grey mare with a black mane he found a stupid bitchy white mare with a weird ass blue mane. “Hello is Octavia here.” said the dumb purple dragon. “ Yeah she's here” replied the stupid white haired odd pony. He waits at the door while Vinyl goes to get Octavia. After what feels like an hour but in reality it is 5 minutes a gray pony with a black mane finally appeared and she says “Hello Spike,where do you want to go.” He does not reply but instead tells Octavia to follow him and he walks her all the way to Sugarcube Corner and they walk inside order a cupcake each( a chocolate one for Octavia and a strawberry and ruby cupcake for Spike). They find that now they are alone (with exception of Pinkie Pie because she works there of course) they are finally able to converse in a better manner and they both ask small details about each other. He talks about his relationship with the princesses and then Octavia speaks about how she is playing a private concert for the princesses and she doesn't have any ideas of what she can play for them. Spike brings up the idea that he could help her with her with creating her music and they walk out after paying the hyper pink pony and they start walking to Octavia’s house.
