Angry Birds in Equestria
Prologue
Load Full StoryIt's said that far off the coast of Equestria, there is an island inhabited by weird animals. However, hardly anypony has actually made a trip to the land, so no pony knows what specifically lives there.
“There you go,” a small, red bird with large, black eyebrows whispered to a nest with three white eggs inside, as he tucked them in. “That'll be nice.”
“Hey Red!” a said from behind him.
Red turned around to see another bird, only this time, she had light pink feathers.
“Oh, uhh, hi Stella,” Red said back. “What's up? Any sight of pigs nearby?”
“Thankfully not,” Stella answered. “Hey, you should take a break from watching the eggs for a while.”
“I know,” Red responded. “It's just that if the pigs come through here, they'll going to steal the eggs!”
“Don't worry,” Stella said. “I’ll watch over the eggs for you!”
Red thought for a second, before giving his opinion on the idea. “Alright.”
“I promise you Red, it will perfectly fine.” Stella replied.
“It better be!” he barked. “If it ends up like the last time I took a break, I swear to god, I'll literally lose my--”
“Red,” Stella said as she got closer to him. “It won't. I'll always keep my eyes on the eggs no matter what. Just take a deep breath.”
Red did what she said, letting air travel in and out of his lungs. He repeated it for a few seconds before completely calming down.
“Okay,” he said, a lot calmer than before. “Just make sure to check up on my if you ever need help.”
“Of course Red” Stella replied.
As the two looked down at the nest below them, they noticed something was horribly wrong. The eggs inside were missing! Red and Stella gasped in fear at the sight of their eggs gone, only to see the culprits behind it running away with them only few miles away. It was a group of green pigs, the sworn enemy to the birds on the island.
“Ha ha! That's what happens when you talk from too long!” One of the pigs shouted out to them, while another stuck it's tongue out as they ran of.
Red’s black eyebrows lowered towards his eyes, indicating that he was angry, and let out a long grunt.
“Stella, get the others!” He yelled to her. “Let's get the eggs back and finally teach those pigs a lesson about what happens when you mess with some Angry Birds!”
“I'm on it Red!” She said, running off into the island to find the other residents.
The other birds on the island were very different from one another, as they currently had difficulty things in mind.
Chuck, a tall, triangular, yellow bird, was practicing his karate skills on several pieces of wood. Bomb, a round, black bird with a fuse on his head, was watering flowers with his girlfriend Matilda, who was a tall, egg shaped bird. Three small blue birds, that go by the names of Jim, Jay and Jake, were lying on the grass, chatting among themselves. Hal, a green bird with a long orange bill, played his bongos in peace, while his friend Bubbles, a super small orange bird, played his trumpet along side him. And then there's Terence, a huge dark red bird with an angry expression always on his face. He was doing what he loves the most: absolutely nothing!
The birds were all just laying out in the sun, having some fun. That is, until Stella rushed towards them, completely exhausted.
“Guys,” she said through her heavy breathing. “We got to go.”
“Where are we going?” Chuck asked.
“To get our eggs back!” she answered. “Those damn pigs stole them again!”
This made every bird’s expression go from one of happiness, to one of anger. They hated pigs more than anything on the island, and they hated them most when they steal their eggs.
“Well, what are we waiting for?” Bomb yelled. “Let's go get them!”
The birds let out a yell of anger as they followed Stella to where Red was. When they got there, they saw him looking through a pair of binoculars.
“Hey Red,” said Hal. “What are you looking at?”
“The pigs.” Red answered. “They sailing away on a boat.”
“Well, why don't we just shoot ourselves from our slingshot at the boat?” Chuck asked. “It will sink before it gets too far.”
“Because it's too far away to get them from the slingshot,” Red replied. “Besides, I don't want anything happening to the eggs.”
“But, if we can't shoot ourselves from the slingshot, then how do we get the eggs back Red?” Bubbles asked.
“Simple,” he answered. “We just build ourselves a boat, row our way to that other island, find the pigs with our eggs, do our thing to them, and head back here with our eggs fully intact.”
“Great idea Red,” Stella added. “You always know what to do.”
“Thanks.” Red said. “Now, let's go get some supplies to build the boat!”
The birds all cheered in anger as they went out to find themselves materials to make a way to get their children back.
“Alright! That's looks good,” Red said to his flock. “This should get us to that island.”
The raft in front of them was made out of wooden planks in the shape of a box. In the middle was a sail made from an old, large cloth. It was big enough to fit every bird inside, and still have room to move around.
“It should,” Stella said. “It's our only chance of getting them.”
“Let's go get those eggs back!” Chuck shouted as he ran on to the boat, only to have the other birds follow him.
The heavy winds blew against the sail of the boat, causing it to descend into the ocean. The birds cheered as the raft moved slowly of the water.
“Okay, it's been an hour and a half, and we still haven't found any land yet?”
“Calm down Matilda,” Red said. “We'll find another island before you know it.”
“We better,” Bomb yelled. “If only we something to eat!”
“Wait, don't we have that basket of different foods and candies?” Red asked.
“We did,” Hal answered. “Until Bubbles ate them all.”
“I was hungry!” Bubbles protested.
“That doesn't mean you eat all of our food,” Matilda shouted at him. “We don't know how long we could be out here!”
As the most of the birds argued at each other, one of them sat at the far end of the boat. She sighed in boredom.
“Hey Stella.” a voice said from beside her.
“Oh, hey Chuck,” she replied. “What's going on over there?”
“Oh nothing,” Chuck said. “They're just arguing because Bubbles ate all of our food. Anyway, why are you at the end of the boat away from everyone?”
Stella sighed again. “I’ve been thinking about something. Or more specifically, someone.”
“What do you mean by that?” Chuck asked.
“Chuck, I think I have a crush on someone.” Stella answered.
Chuck’s eyes widened as he heard this, before a worried look went on his face. “Oh no, I do not have feelings for you Stella. I don't have feelings for anyone right--”
“Chuck,” Stella interrupted him. “It's not towards you.”
“Oh okay,” Chuck said. “Then who is then?”
Stella didn't answer, as she didn't know how he would react.
“I have a crush on--” she said before being interrupted by Red.
“Guys,” he shouted. “Land!”
The birds all cheered as the stared at the island in the distance getting closer and closer to their boat. Before long, they were at the edge of the land, a large beach that leads into a forest.
“Alright everyone,” Red said, getting the birds attention. “We have no idea where the pigs went with our eggs. So, we're going to venture through the island to teach them a lesson once at for all!”
The birds cheered again, this time in anger. While doing so, they began to jump of the boat one by one. The last one of was Stella, who saw Chuck running up to Red in order to speak with him. She sighed, as she didn't get say who she had a crush on. But, at the same time, she was also a bit thankful, as it gave her more time to think about it. Either way, she had to put it on hold for the time being, as she and her flock entered the forest.
