A Dazzling Vacationby Zenyattaluver677ChaptersThe IdeaPacking And Plane TicketsMissing Boarding PassesAria's DissaprovementOn The Plane With Aria's AttitudeA Afternoon on the StreetsBlanket & Bed HogStop waking Me UpWhat Did You MeanThe IdeaOne sunny morning in May in an old rugged house sat the Dazzlings. Adagio Dazzle was seated on the big navy armchair with a book in her hand, Aria Blaze was lounging on the light blue couch & was looking at something on her iPhone 6. Sonata Dusk was sitting on the office chair & was watching something on the computer that was set up on the desk. Adagio glanced up from her book & looked at the other two girls, Sonata didn't even notice but Aria looked up at her & then back at her phone. "I think we need a vacation." Adagio finally said. "What? A vacation?" Sonata asked, looking over at Adagio. "Why would we have to go on a vacation?" Aria asked. "Because." Adagio said. "You're always on your phone and Sonata's either on the computer or in her room." Adagio finished. "So. What's wrong with that?" Aria asked, "At least that thing keeps Sonata quiet." Aria said as she gestured towards the computer. "But this vacation is going to be different because we aren't taking any electronics with us." Adagio said. "What!" Aria exclaimed. "I have to take my phone because I need to keep up with all the new posts on Instagram." Aria said. "Those can all wait until we get back." Adagio stated. "No they can't." Aria said. "New things are posted like every minute, I can't miss it." she finished. "But you ca-" BEEP! "Hang on a second Adagio." Aria said as she picked up her phone. "Aria put the phone away." Adagio demanded. "Just give me a second. There's this really cool pic that was posted on Instagram that I have to like." Aria explained "What about you Sonata? Would you like a vacation?" Adagio asked as she turned to the youngest of the three girls. "I think it sounds fun." Sonata said as she turned the computer off & went to sit on the couch with Aria. "Oh great. Now both of you want to go so now I have to go." Aria exclaimed annoyingly. "Yes you do, now give me your phone." Adagio said while she got up and walked over to the couch. "No." Aria exclaimed again. "Yes because we need to figure out where we'll be going." Adagio said as she tried to grab the phone from Aria's hand. "Why don't you two do that because I honestly don't care where we go as long as it has Internet and I can take my phone." Aria said. "No you need to help us decide and there will be no phone or Internet." Adagio explained to Aria. "Haha, Aria doesn't get to take her phone." Sonata chanted. "Shut up idiot." Aria said as she gave Sonata her annoyed look. "Oh ok." Sonata whined. "Aria just because you can't take your phone with you on the vacation doesn't mean you take it out on Sonata." Adagio said. "Fine." Aria said as she handed Adagio her phone. BEEP! "Adagio can I see my phone really quickly someone just texted me and I need to get back to them." Aria said. "No they can wait. I'll just tell your friend that your busy and you can't talk right now." Adagio said. "Ugh. Fine!" Aria exclaimed. "Done and done now come to the kitchen so we can plan where we're going." Adagio chimed as she walked into the kitchen. "Come on Aria let's go." Sonata said excitedly. She stood up, grabbed  Aria's hand and they both went into kitchen. "Sonata let go of my hand." Aria said but it was no use because Sonata wasn't listening anyways. The three girls sat down at the kitchen table & Adagio grabbed a list from he fridge that said "Places we could go on Vacation" and set it down on the table. Adagio pointed to some of the places on the list and Aria and Sonata looked at each other then back at Adagio, Sonata nodded enthusiastically but Aria just merely gave an unenthusiastic thumbs up. Adagio smiled and grabbed a pen and crossed the place off the list and put the list back on the fridge. She then turned to the other girls and flicked her hair back out of her face. "Alright then. California it is." Adagio said. "Yay!" Sonata exclaimed. "Whatever." Aria muttered. "It's settled then. Now I have to go order three plane tickets and book a hotel you girls should go upstairs and start packing. Adagio said. "Ok!" Sonata said as she ran up the stairs taking them two steps at a time. "Ugh. Fine!" Aria said as she crossed her arms across her chest and walked upstairs. Packing And Plane TicketsAdagio sat down in the office chair and turned on the computer. She went to the Internet and looked for a hotel in California that she could book for a four night stay, then she went and ordered six plane tickets for two WestJet flights. Once that was done she turned off the computer and went upstairs to pack her own things. "Adagio?" Adagio turned to see Sonata standing in her doorway with a puzzled look on her face. "Yes Sonata." Adagio answered. "Since we're going to California I'm not sure if I should take shorts or pants. What do you think?" Sonata asked Adagio. "Um. Bring both because California is located on the west coast." Adagio answered. "Ok." Sonata said and then she turned and went into her room to continue packing. Adagio walked down the hall a little ways before she came to Aria's closed bedroom door. She walked up to it and hesitated slightly before knocking. "Who is it?" Aria asked a couple seconds after Adagio knocked. "It's Adagio." Adagio answered. "What do you want?" Aria asked impatiently. "I just wanted to know how your packing was going and if you needed any help with somehthing." Adagio answered flatly. "It's going perfectly fine and I think I'm good." Aria answered a few minutes later. "Ok then." Adagio said. She then continued down the hallway towards the bathroom to grab her toothbrush, toothpaste and her hairbrush. Adagio then walked across the hallway to her bedroom. She went to her closet and grabbed her purple suitcase which had a fabric gem sewn onto it. Adagio placed the suitcase on her bed and put the stuff she'd grabbed from the bathroom into it. She turned around and saw Aria standing in the doorway, she was leaning against the door jamb with her arms crossed across her chest. "What is it Aria?" Adagio asked. "I was just wondering what there is to do in California? You know, since I won't have my phone with me." Aria asked Adagio. "Oh well, there's lot's of stuff to do. I mean there's a racetrack in Arcadia, California." Adagio answered as she grabbed a leather jacket from her closet and put it in her suitcase. "What kind of racetrack?" Aria asked. To Adagio she didn't sound very interested. "Horse racetrack. But, if you want to go then we'll all have to go." Adagio answered. "Why?" Aria muttered. "Because knowing you, you'd probably get lost and maybe me and Sonata would like to go to." Adagio answered again, this time a bit more flatly. "Fine then." Aria said. With that, she turned around and went back to her room and Sonata came bounding into Adagio's room. "What do you need now Sonata?" Adagio asked as she put her curling iron into her suitcase. "I was just wondering where my bathing suit and towel were so I can put them in my suitcase because I want to go swimming while we're in California." Sonata explained. "Oh, you're bathing suit is in your closet and your towel is under the sink in the bathroom." Adagio stated. "Ok." Sonata said. She turned on her heel and skipped across the hallway to the bathroom. Adagio went to her dresser and grabbed four pairs of summer clothes and one pair of clothes that would do if it rained one day. She also grabbed her headband with rhinestones on it and put everything in her suitcase. BANG! "What happened Aria?' Adagio shouted as she walked to her doorway to see what was going on. "I knocked my charger off my dresser and it landed on the floor before I caught it. No big deal." Aria shouted back from her room. "Did you break it?" Sonata asked from the hallway. "No. It's just a charger idiot." Aria answered from her room. "Hey you two, knock it off." Adagio demanded. "Hey Adagio there's something sitting on the fax machine thingy." Sonata said. "Oh it's probably the plane tickets for the trip." Adagio explained. Adagio went and grabbed the plane tickets off the fax machine. Each girl had two plane tickets. One for the way there and one for the way back. It was then that Adagio got a hunch that they were missing something but they had they're stuff, plane tickets and the hotel. What were they missing, then it hit her... "The boarding passes!" Adagio shouted. Missing Boarding Passes"What is it now Adagio?" Aria asked sarcastically, coming down the stairs. "The boarding passes are missing." Adagio exclaimed. Aria raised one eyebrow in annoyance "Why don't we just drive to California." Aria suggested. "We can't." Adagio stated. "Why not." Aria answered. "Because. It's way to far, we live in Florida. California is all the way across the country." Adagio answered flatly. "I'm sorry miss whiny poo, I didn't realise." Aria said in a nonchalant voice. "Stop it right now young lady." Adagio exclaimed. She was getting annoyed with this. "Why? You took my phone away." Aria stated. She walked over to Adagio and crossed her arms across her chest. "I took your phone away so you wouldn't focus on it and focus more on your packing instead." Adagio explained. "But, I'm done packing." Aria said. "Are you sure?" Adagio asked. She wanted to test Aria, just to see if she was actually ready. "Yes." Aria said. She was clearly annoyed with Adagio. "If you're done then take this paper and write down everything you packed on it and come show me." Adagio said, she just wanted to get rid of Aria so she could look for the boarding passes. "Ugh! Fine!" Aria exclaimed annoyingly. She marched upstairs and into her room. "That should keep her busy for a while." Adagio said to herself. Adagio continued to search for the boarding passes, she had no idea where they were. She went into the kitchen and looked in the cupboards, when she didn't find anything there she went into the laundry room and looked in the cabinets with no luck. All she found in there were a few dust bunnies and an old camera that the lense had been broken off of. "Adagio what are you doing?" A voice said from behind her. Adagio jumped at the sound of the voice and hit her hand on the doorknob of the cabinet she was looking in. "Ow!" Adagio exclaimed. She turned to see who was there. It was Sonata. "I'm looking for the boarding passes." Adagio answered. "Oh ok. I need your help." Sonata said. "With what?" Adagio asked. She really needed to find the boarding passes and these little interruptions weren't helping at all. "I need you to make sure I have everything. But if your busy I'll ask Aria." Sonata said. "No. I'll help you, Aria's kind of being a jerk today." Adagio said. Adagio and Sonata walked upstairs, down the hallway and into Sonata's room. Adagio looked through Sonata's suitcase and then closed it few minutes later. She turned to Sonata who was standing impatiently beside her. "Your done." Adagio said as she walked towards the door. "now I have to go check on miss cranky pants Aria." Adagio finished. Sonata giggled at Adagio's remark as Adagio walked down the hallway towards Aria's bedroom. She stopped in front of Aria's bedroom door, which to Adagio's surprise was wide open because Aria usually had it closed all the way. Sometimes she even locked it. "Can I come in?" Adagio asked. Aria was standing in front of her bed with her open suitcase sitting in front of her. "Yeah I guess." Aria said after she turned to see who it was. "So... How' it going?" Adagio asked cautiously. "Perfectly fine." Aria said. She turned her back to Adagio and continued checking things off the paper in her hand. "Are you sure you don't need any help?" Adagio asked again. "Positive. I'm done anyways." Aria said handing Adagio the piece of paper. "Can I have my phone now?" she asked. "I guess." Adagio said, "it's on my dresser." she added. "Ok great." Aria said as she went to retrieve her phone from Adagio's room. When Aria left, Adagio continued her search for the boarding passes. She was looking in the spare closet by the bathroom when it hit her. The boarding passes were still in her purse from the last time the girls went on a vacation. "I found them." Adagio exclaimed after she'd run to her room and looked in her purse. She had to look in every pocket until she found them though, her purse had like five pockets on it. "Found what?" Sonata asked as she came out of her room and into the hallway where Adagio was standing with the boarding passes in her hands. "The boarding passes." Adagio said as she handed both girls their passes, "don't lose these" she added "When are we leaving." Aria asked flatly, she was staring at her phone screen and to Adagio, didn't really seem to care at all when they were leaving. "We leave the house by 7:30 tomorrow morning because we have to be at the airport by 8:00 because our plane leaves at 8:30." Adagio announced. She looked over at Aria who was still staring at her phone screen. "Ugh. You mean we have to leave early in the morning tomorrow." Aria exclaimed. She glanced up at Adagio and then looked back at her phone screen. "I know your not a morning person Aria, but yes we do have to leave early in the morning. That's why we are going to bed tonight at 9:30 sharp. I'll be taking your phone tonight to Aria so you go to sleep, also I'm taking the remote to your tv Sonata." Adagio said. "Ok fine. But I'm going to be unreasonable." Aria explained, she was looking at something on her phone screen that someone had texted her. "Your always unreasonable." Adagio said. She knew that Aria knew this but she had to throw it into the conversation, she just wanted to see Aria's reaction. "Whatever." was all Aria said, much to Adagio's disappointment. Aria's DissaprovementBEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Adagio opened one eye and looked at her alarm clock, the numbers on it read 6:00. She'd set the alarm clock for that time the night before so her and the other two would have time to get dressed, eat a quick breakfast and then get into the car and drive to the airport. She'd loaded everything into her SUV the night before and had to pretty much pry Aria's phone away from her. Sonata'd been easy since she was way to excited to stay up because of the vacation. Adagio got out of bed, turned off the alarm clock and got dressed. She then went and knocked on Sonata's bedroom door, Sonata was already up and was just getting her socks on when Adagio opened the door after she didn't get an answer. "Great your up." Adagio chimed. "Head downstairs when your done in here and get your breakfast, I have to go and wake up Aria, that's going to be difficult." Adagio said. "Do you want any help with that part?" Sonata asked, "I'm always waking her up at like eight in the morning." she added. "I think I'm good." Adagio said. "Aria's already going to be unreasonable as it is. We don't need to make her even more unreasonable." she added. Sonata skipped down the hall towards the staircase and Adagio walked over to Aria's door, she opened the door and looked in, she could see that Aria was still in bed, fast asleep. She quietly made her way over to her bed and shook her lightly. "Go away Sonata." Aria mumbled. "It's not Sonata, it's your worst nightmare." Adagio said teasingly. "What do you want Adagio?" Aria asked as she looked at her with one eye open. "It's time to get up and get ready to head to the airport." Adagio answered, she walked over to the doorway after Aria stood up and walked over to her dresser, ' "Now get dressed and come downstairs for a quick breakfast before we leave." Adagio said as she walked out the door. "Ok." Aria said. There was a mix of annoyance and sleepiness in her voice. Adagio walked doenstairs and into the kitchen, she went to the cupboard and got out a bowl and some cereal, she poured the cereal into her bowl and then grabbed the milk from the fridge and poured the milk onto her cereal. She looked at the expiry date on the milk and made a disgusted sound. "What is it?" Sonata said to Adagio as she came into the kitchen. "This milk expires in two days. You and Aria hopefully will be able to finish it or I'll have to throw it out when we get back." Adagio answered. "Oh well I was going to just have a bagel but ok, I'll have cereal." Sonata replied. "You don't have to I was just saying that." Adagio answered. She grabbed a spoon from the silverware drawer and then went and sat down on the kitchen table. She looked at the clock on the stove and saw that it read 6:15. She woken Aria up ten minutes ago. It surely didn't take that long to get dressed. "Sonata go check on Aria for me please. Tell her to come down here and get her breakfast so we can leave early if we get the chance." Adagio stated. "Ok." Sonata said. She walked out of the kitchen and upstairs, she went to Aria'd closed bedroom door and knocked. Aria answered a few minutes later. "Who is it and what do you want now." Aria said from inside her room. "It's Sonata. Adagio told be to come up here and tell you to hurry up." Sonata explained. "Well. Tell her she can wait, I can't find my hair clips." Aria answered a minute later. "Didn't you out them in your suitcase last night before Adagiof took them to the car?" Sonata asked confusingly. "Yeah. But I thought I had an extra pair." Aria answered. She kicked something in her room and Sonata decided she'd better just leave. She was halfway down the hall when Aria's door opened, she turned to see Aria come out and stand in front of her doorway. She looked over at Sonata. "Can you help me look for them?" Aria asked her. "Um. Sure. I guess." Sonata said confusingly. This was first time in a long time that Aria had asked her for help with something. Aria and Sonata came into the kitchen about ten minutes later, they'd had no luck in there search for Aria's hair clips. Sonata walked over to the counter where her cereal was waiting and went and sat on the table. Aria reached up to the cupboard and grabbed a bowl, she grabbed the cereal box and the milk and poured both into her bowl. She then came and sat down at the kitchen table. The three girls sat there and ate in silence, the only sounds heard were the clinging of the spoons on the bowls and the occasional beep from the printer. Adagio was the first to break the silence after a few more minutes. "I'm going out to the old she'd out back to get something. We'll leave when I get back." Adagio announced. "Don't we need someone to take care of the horse and the cows for us while we're gone?" Sonata asked. The Dazzlings had bought a bay Thoroughbred mare named Paprika along with three beef cows named Delilah, Clover and Juniper the year before. They lived out back in the thre acre pasture on the Dazzlings property. Two out of the three cows were supposed to have a calf this year. Clover already had one. "Already settled. Our neighbor said he'd come and feed and water them twice a day if they needed it. He also said that he'd check Delilah and Juniper at least three times a day." Adagio answered. "Can I come with you to y goodbye to them. I'm done eating anyways." Sonata chanted. "Ok. We can go see them for a few minutes but then we have to go. Aria are you going to come or stay here because I see your done to." Adagio asked. "I might as well come." Aria exclaimed. Even thought she didn't like hanging out around the animals, Aria'd grown attached to Juniper, she was the one that fed her most of the time. The three girls walked out back and Adagio stopped at the shed, she told Aria and Sonata to go and see the animals but be back at the car by five minutes. Aria and Sonata continued on their way to see the animals. Sonata walked over to where Paprika was grazing and Aria went to where Juniper was dozing. Juniper looked up at her but continued to doze, Aria looked out to the far end of the pasture to see where the other two cows were. Delilah was grazing close by and Clover and her calf were about a quarter of the way down from the pasture. Aria patted Juniper's shoulder and then walked over to where Sonata was standing with Paprika. She walked up and patted Paprika. "Don't you just want to climb on her back and see how fast she can go." Sonata said. "Yeah. But Adagio said we can't ride her." Aria exclaimed. "I know. Why is that?" Sonata asked. "I honestly don't know you'd have to ask her." Aria answered flatly. Ten minutes later all three girls were in the car driving towards the airport, Adagio was at the wheel, Aria was sitting next to her and Sonata was sitting behind Aria. "Sonata stop kicking my seat." Aria shouted as she looked back at Sonata. "Why?" Sonata asked as she continued to kick Aria' seat. "Because it's annoying and I don't like it." Aria answered. She elbowed the back of her seat and Sonata stopped kicking it for a few minutes. "Sonata!" Aria said through clenched teeth. "Do something Adagio." Aria said as she looked over at Adagio. "Someone's cranky today." Adagio stated. "You knew I would be. Now make her stop." Aria exclaimed. "Sonata stop kicking Aria's seat. What did I tell you this morning about making her more mad than she already is." Adagio explained. "To not to." Sonata replied. "Exactly." Adagio said. "Dagi?" Sonata asked a few minutes later. "What" Adagio answered. "How come we can't ride Paprika?" Sonata asked again. "Because. We don't know anything about her, she's a retired racehorse don't forget. She was bad to run." Adagio answered as she turned onto one of ten backroad so that headed into town. "Why are you going this way?" Aria asked with a nonchalant voice. "Cause it's quicker, we're already running late because you couldn't find you boarding pass, even though it was on your dresser." Adagio answered. "Well. It was dark in my room and you were rushing everything." Aria said flatly. "I wasn't being rushed Ari." Sonata explained. "I don't care and stop calling me that." Aria boasted. "ARIA! Calm down." Adagio exclaimed as she glanced into her rear view mirror to see it anyone was coming up behind them. "Why? It's your fault we had to get up so early." Aria exclaimed. "No that's not why your mad. Your mad because you can't have your phone." Adagio explained. "Pretty much yeah." Aria replied a few minutes later. "And just because your mad doesn't give you the right to get mad at Sonata for no reason at all." Adagio said. "Hey it's not my fault you said I couldn't have my phone." Aria said. "Yes it is. Your the one that's always on it." Adagio replied. Aria didn't answer instead she looked out the window and crossed her arms across her chest. "Ari, what happened?" Sonata asked Aria. "Nothing. I'm just mad at Adagio." Aria said flatly. "Sonata just leave her alone. She's mad and being this way because it's to early for her. Just look out your window and don't annoy her." Adagio said. "Ok. Wait, Adagio, what if something happens to one of the animals at the farm and our neighbor needs to contact you?" Sonata asked. "I gave him my cell number plus I have him the name of the hotel we're staying at. If there's a problem and we're not available I told him to leave a message at the font desk. So not to worry. Not to worry at all." Adagio answered Sonata. "Ok." Sonata said. On The Plane With Aria's AttitudeThe girls got their plane and showed the person in the lobby their boarding passes and plane tickets and boarded the plane. Sonata was cheery and happy go lucky, Adagio was somewhat excited and Aria was unhappy and mad. Adagio looked at Aria, when she did the other girl looked at her with the look of the devil. They sat in their seats, Sonata was by the window, Aria was in the middle and Adagio was on the outside. The flight attendant gave them some instructions before the plane took off. Sonata was busy looking out the window as the plane lifted off and the ground got lower and lower. "Adagio. Why is the ground getting smaller?" Sonata asked as she turned away from the window to look at Adagio. "Because we're in the air dimwit." Aria answered with a snarky voice. "I was asking Adagio not you." Sonata replied flatly. "I don't care I gave you an answer. The right answer." Aria said. "Both of you stop it." Adagio exclaimed through gritted teeth. "But I didn't do anything." Sonata explained as she turned to look out the window again. "I was talking more to Aria then you Sonata." Adagio answered as she looked at Aria. "Why me? I was just answering her question." Aria exclaimed annoyingly. "It was how you answered it though. You were all snarky about it. You need to control that attitude of yours and put up with her on vacation." Adagio explained to Aria. "Oh. I don't have to do what you say, I can do whatever I want." Aria replied flatly. "No you can't. You have to listen to me young lady." Adagio said. "Whatever." Aria mumbled as she crossed her arms and looked out the window. "Attention everyone. You may now unbuckle your seat belts." said the pilot over the intercom. Adagio, Aria and Sonata all unbuckled their seat belts and Adagio pulled out a fashion magazine from her bag and opened it. She flipped through a few pages until she found a page that caught her eye. She began reading her magazine, completely oblivious to Aria looking over her shoulder at it. "Really. A fashion magazine. You brought one of those and I couldn't bring my phone." Aria mumbled. "I brought this because it's a good way to pass time. You should read one." Adagio said. She reached into her bag for another magazine and handed it to Aria. "Uh, no thanks. I don't need any advice on fashion." Aria said as she pushed the magazine away. "Ok then, be bored I don't care." Adagio replied as she continued reading her magazine. A few hours later the plane landed and the three girls got off and went to the baggage claim to get their things. As soon as they did that they went out and found the car that Adagio had rented for three weeks they'd be on vacation. They put their things in the back and climbed in. Adagio took the wheel, Aria sat in the passenger seat and Sonata sat in the back behind Aria. They had to wait another ten minutes to get out of the parking lot due to heavy traffic. "Ugh! Sonata! Stop kicking my seat!" Aria angrily said a couple minutes later. "I can't help it. I'm just excited." Sonata exclaimed. "I know your excited Sonata, but, just don't kick Aria's seat because you know she doesn't like it." Adagio said as she glanced at Sonata through the rear-view mirror. "Ok." Sonata said. They pulled up outside their hotel about 20 minutes later and checked in. They went to their room and Adagio opened the door and all three girls walked in. Adagio looked around in awe while Sonata ran to one of the beds and jumped onto it. Aria just stood by Adagio with her arms crossed and a grim look on her face. "This is my bed." Sonata said to the other girls. "Ok. But two have to share a bed so either me or Aria will probably end up sleeping with you." Adagio explained to Sonata. "Ok." Sonata chimed as she got up and looked out the window. "Aw. The view is kinda boring." she said after she looked out the window. "Why?" Adagio asked her. Sonata didn't say anything she just pulled back the curtain to reveal the view of the roof. "Really. That's the only view we get." Aria complained from behind Adagio. "Why do you care about the view?" Sonata asked Aria. "Because I do. Is that a problem of yours." Aria answered. "Stop it you two. Just get your suitcases set on your bed and then we'll go and see what else is in this hotel." Adagio exclaimed as she set her suitcase on the opposite bed of the one Sonata picked. "Oh no. No, no, no. I am not sleeping with Sonata." Aria exclaimed and saw the suitcase on the bed. "Well your going to have to because I can't sleep with her." Adagio said. "Why not?" Aria answered flatly. "Because, she doesn't fall asleep right away so you can deal with her. And I like going to bed at like eleven and she likes going to bed at nine, so yeah." Adagio answered. "Fine." Aria mumbled. "Yay. Me and Ari are bed buddies." Sonata chimed as she ran up behind Aria and hugged her. "Stop calling me that and don't touch me." Aria said as she pried Sonata off her. "Ok you two, let's go." Adagio said. The three girls walked to the door of their hotel room and left the room. A Afternoon on the StreetsAdagio, Aria and Sonata were headed down the street to see what was available to them. Adagio led the way with Sonata and Aria close behind her. Aria kicked a couple pebbles into the sewers as they walked along but neither Adagio or Sonata said anything to her because they knew she was cranky that day. They walked along for a couple more minutes before they came to a small clothing store, Adagio felt her pocket and felt relieved when she felt her wallet in it. She turned to the other girls and waited a few seconds before speaking up. "I want to go look around in here for a minute. What about you two?" Adagio asked as she gestured towards the store on her left. "Might as well." Sonata said cheerfully. "I guess." Aria said without really making eye contact with Adagio. "Ok. Come on then." Adagio said as they entered they entered the store and began looking around. "How about this. If you want, you can each pick something out from here or we can go into a store that you want to go in when one catches your eye. But we can't be to long because we have to get back." Adagio explained to the girls. "Ok." Sonata said as she walked to the far end of the store and began looking around for something. "I'll wait." Aria said, she walked over to where Sonata was standing and sort of helped Sonata look for something. Adagio went to the opposite corner of where the girls were and began looking around at the knee length dresses. She wasn't having any luck until a emerald green coloured dress with pink outlines caught her eye. She took it off the rack and asked the clirk at the front desk if she could try it on. Once she had it on she examined herself in the mirror and then changed and went and put her dress on the front desk. The clirk said she would hold it at the front until she was ready to go. Adagio went over to where Aria and Sonata were looking at a a flamingo pink coloured dress with red and white silk lining the sides of it. "How's it going over here." Adagio asked after a couple more minutes. "Oh, hi Adagio. Everything's going fine." Aria said flatly. "Do you want that Sonata?" Adagio asked, ignoring Adagio. Sonata didn't answer but Aria said,"she really wants it, she begged me to get it for her because we didn't know where you went and then I told her to wait for you and see what you think." "Well Sonata, why don't you go try it on and I'll tell you what I think then." Adagio said as she grabbed the dress off the hook and handed it to Sonata. "Ok." Sonata said, she then bounded off towards the changing room. Adagio and Aria walked over and waited for her to come out. When Sonata came out, Adagio looked over the dress and nodded to Sonata with approval. "Aria what do you think since you helped me pick it out?" Sonata asked Aria cautiously. "It looks fine." Aria said, Adagio thought she heard an edge to Aria's voice but didn't question anything. After they payed for the dresses, they walked out of the store and Adagio glanced at the time. She almost fainted when she saw the time. It was 3:30 and they needed to be back at the hotel by 5:00 if they wanted to catch their neighbour if he called with any news because that's when he's be coming in from feeding the animals and checking the cows. "Ok, Aria we can either go back to the hotel now and look for your thing tomorrow or we can look really quickly and try to find something." Adagio said. "Look tomorrow." Aria said nonchalantly. "Ok great." Adagio said as they headed back to the hotel. Once the girls reached their hotel they asked the front desk if they'd gotten any messages from home with no luck they went up to their room and Adagio checked her phone to find no messages or missed calls. She went into the bathroom to use the washroom and when she came out Aria and Sonata were arguing about something. "Sonata, if I sleep with you I'm getting the side closest to the window." Aria stated. "No. I'm getting that side because I sleep better on that side." Sonata whined. "Well you don't always get what you want you know." Aria exclaimed loudly. "Girls. Be quiet." Adagio hissed. "Why, no one's sleeping right now." Aria said. "I know but still, you should be quiet because people might complain." Adagio explained. "Well then tell Sonata she can't have the side by the window." Aria exclaimed again. "Ok I'm going to settle this. Sonata I know you sleep better on the left side of the bed then the right but Aria did say she wanted that side first so can you give it up for one night." Adagio stated. "Yeah I guess." Sonata said. Blanket & Bed HogIt was around 8:30 pm and the Dazzlings were sitting in their hotel room. Aria was lying in her and Sonata's bed trying to get the T.V. to work, Adagio was flipping through the catalog that was on the bedside table and Sonata was doodling on a piece of paper she'd found in one of the drawers on the side table. Sonata and Aria were in their pj's while Adagio was still in her clothes. Sonata was wearing a dark violet onesie with hot pink on the sleeves and neckline and Aria was wearing a white pj shirt with green on the top and magenta pj pants with white dots. The T.V. was stuck on Netflix and Aria was trying to get it to the actual TV. "Ugh. This stupid thing isn't working." Aria exclaimed as she tried to switch it to the TV again. "Maybe you should take a break from that for a while." Adagio suggested as she looked up at the TV screen which Aria had made little to no progress on switching. "No. I want to watch TV. Sonata where's the manual for this thing." Aria exclaimed as she turned to Sonata to see if Sonata knew where the manual for the TV was. "In the same drawer that this was in." Sonata answered. "Well can you get it for me!" Aria exclaimed as she pointed towards the dresser. "Fine." Sonata said as she went to grab the manual from the drawer. "Why couldn't you have just grabbed it Aria. Your the one that wants it?" Adagio asked confusingly. "She's closer to it than I am." Aria answered as she crossed her arms across her chest. "Whatever" Adagio stated as she went back to the catalog. About half and hour later, Sonata announced that she wanted to go to bed. Adagio had gone out of the room to get something and was going to return and go to bed so that left Aria alone with Sonata. She knew that Sonata didn't fall asleep all that easily and she hoped that this time she would fall asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. "Ari?" Sonata asked much to Aria's dismay that she hadn't fallen asleep. "What now!" Aria exclaimed as she looked over at Sonata from the window. "Can you turn off the lamp and come and lay in bed?" Sonata asked again. "I can turn off the lamp but I'm not going to bed quite yet." Aria answered as she flipped off the lamp. "Why can't you just come and lay in the bed instead of standing over there though." Sonata exclaimed. "Because. You hog the blanket all the time." Aria said to Sonata as she closed the curtain and went and sat on the edge of the bed on her side. "You hog the whole bed though." Sonata shouted. "Shh. People are sleeping. You're going to get us in trouble and possibly kicked out." Aria said as she put a finger to her mouth and gestured for Sonata to be quiet. "If you lay down in the bed, I'll be quiet." Sonata said to Aria. "Promise." Aria stated flatly. "I promise." Sonata said as Aria got in the bed on her side of the bed. "Ok. But I'm going to turn on the TV ok." Aria explained to Sonata as she grabbed the remote from the dresser and turned on the TV. Sonata didn't answer, she flipped onto her left side and closed her eyes and went to sleep. She rested her hands on her pillow and then rested her head on top of them. Aria sat there and looked at her for a moment, she looked so cute when she was asleep, Aria heard the door open and quickly looked back at the TV screen. Adagio came into the room and Aria put a finger to her mouth and then pointed at Sonata to indicate that she was asleep, Adagio nodded and quietly went into the bathroom to change into her pj's. Aria flipped through some channels on the TV, not really finding one she was interested in so she just put it on a random channel and watched what was on that channel. Adagio came out of the bathroom wearing her bright violet onesie and got into her bed. "What are we watching?" Adagio asked Aria as she looked at the TV screen. "I don't know. I just put it on a random channel." Aria answered as she pressed the info button on the remote to see what they were watching. About half an hour later the girls decided to go to bed because the show they were watching was just this dumb documentary about some natural resources, it was actually kind of boring. Aria turned off the TV and put the remote back on the dresser beside the bed, she got comfortable and went to sleep. Stop waking Me UpAria was woken up by kicking later that night. She looked at the clock on the dresser and it read in bold green blocky numbers 11:56. Aria sighed and then tried to go back to sleep but the kicking didn't stop, it grew worse. She laid there for a few more minutes, she looked over at Adagio who was sleeping soundly in the other bed. She flipped over onto her right side and shook Sonata with her left hand to try and wake her up. It didn't work. She started gently but eventually it became more rough because Sonata wouldn't wake up. "Sonata." Aria whispered as she continued shaking her. Sonata didn't reply and Aria began shaking her with both hands. "Sonata wake up." Aria whispered again, this time a little bit more loudly than the last. She also got closer to her ear this time. "Is it seriously morning already?" Sonata mumbled tiredly. She rolled over so she wasn't facing Aria and tried to go back to a deep sleep but Aria wouldn't stop shaking her. "No but you need to wake up." Aria answered. She stopped shaking Sonata as Sonata rolled back over and opened one eye to look at her. "Why?" She asked again. "Because you keep kicking me and you need to stop it." Aria answered as she explained to Sonata why she had woken her up. "Sorry I can't help it." Sonata said as she closed her eye and rolled back over to go back to sleep. "Just move over a little bit." Aria said. Sonata moved over and Aria went back to sleep. Aria was wakened once again about an hour later. This time it wasn't due to kicking though, someone was shaking her awake. Without moving she opened her eyes to see who was shaking her, to her disappointment, it was Sonata. "What is it and why do you keep waking me up?" Aria asked flatly, she didn't really like being disturbed when she was sleeping and this was already the second time tonight that Sonata had waken her up, this time it was on purpose though. "I h-had a bad dream." Sonata answered quietly "What am I supposed to do about that?" Aria asked again. This time more flatly and with more of an edge to her voice than the last time. Aria felt Sonata cringe slightly at the sound of her voice and she suddenly felt a wave of guilt. She didn't know why she did it but she found herself rolling over to face Sonata who was twiddling her thumbs nervously. "C-can you help me go back to sleep?" Sonata asked nervously without making eye contact with Aria. "No way." Aria stated flatly, once again she felt this wave of guilt after she'd said that. "P-please Ari. I can't go back to sleep." Sonata pleaded. She gently but cautiously put her hand on Aria's hand which was resting beside her on the bed. Unusually Aria let Sonata keep her hand there, mainly due to the warmth of it. "Ugh. Fine! Stop calling me that!" Aria exclaimed, "But this better not take all night." she finished. "It won't. I promise. Ok." Sonata said. She laid down in the bed and tried to come closer to Aria, but as usual, Aria shoved her away. "Nope we are not doing that. I'll just lay here with you until you fall asleep." Aria stated once she had pushed Sonata a little ways away. "Please Ari. Can't I just cuddle with you for once?" Sonata asked, Aria though she seen a slight glimpse of tears in the corners of Sonata's eyes and she felt guilty again. "Ok fine. But when I say to stop we stop ok. I also told you to stop calling me that." Aria explained. "Ok." Sonata said as she snuggled up next to Aria. Aria liked it unusually. Aria closed her eyes as Sonata got comfortable and was about to drift off to sleep when she heard Sonata's voice again. "Aria. Can I ask you something?" Sonata asked quietly. "What." Aria answered without opening her eyes. "How come you don't like being called Ari?" Sonata asked again. "Because I just don't ok." Aria answered nonchalantly. "But why. There has to be a reason why." Sonata chimed, Aria didn't like that Sonata was keeping her awake like this. Aria didn't answer Sonata, she was hoping that if she ignored her, Sonata would stop bugging her and go back to sleep. Unfortunately it didn't work. Sonata rolled over so she was facing Aria and gently put her hand on her shoulder, Aria opened her eyes in surprise and felt herself getting a small blush. "Tell me now." Sonata demanded as she looked into Aria's eyes with a stony gaze that would make anyone cringe, except Aria because she was used to it. "Ok. I don't like being called Ari because it makes me feel weaker than I know I am. I just assume that it no one calls me Ari than I can't feel weak because no one's calling me that stupid name." Aria answered, she felt her fist clenching into a ball. She wanted to punch something and was about too punch the bed when Sonata grabbed her fist gently in her hand and stopped her. "Aria I don't think that name makes you sound weak. I think that should actually be your name. You don't need to punch anything Aria, I know your strong and independent but just don't punch anything because you feel the need to." Sonata said softly. "Thanks. At least I know now that someone appreciates me." Aria said as she unclenched her fist and felt Sonata loosen her already light grip on Aria's hand. Aria knew she was stronger than Sonata and knew that if she wanted to, she could easily pull her hand away from Sonata but she didn't, she felt like a totally different right now that Sonata was laying beside her. "Can I tell you what I think?" Sonata asked as she let go of Aria's hand and got ready to go to sleep again. "Sure I guess." Aria answered as she began playing with a lock of Sonata's hair. "I think you just get insecure when someone calls you that because you can't control your emotions as well as everyone thinks you can but you don't know how to express other than punching something or getting mad. I noticed it yesterday when Adagio took your phone away." Sonata explained to Aria and Aria knew she was right but would never admit that to Sonata. What Did You MeanThe next morning when the girls went down to eat breakfast at the restaurant that was in the hotel Aria's head was spinning. She kept trying to figure out what Sonata had meant by what she said last night. When she'd woken up this morning she found Sonata in the same spot she'd left her and Adagio's alarm was going off. She got out of bed and let Adagio deal with Sonata who was still wanting to sleep but Adagio wouldn't allow it. She had said that they needed to get up and start enjoying their vacation because it would be over in a week. Sonata had reluctantly gotten up and gotten dressed after Adagio pleaded for about five minutes. Now the girls were seated at one of the tables in the restaurant at the Holiday Inn. Aria and Sonata were sitting beside each other and Adagio was sitting across of them reading her menu, Sonata was stirring the ice around in her water with a spoon and Aria was sitting there, thinking. Adagio looked up from her menu and eyed Aria confusingly for a second before turning to Sonata to ask her if she knew what she wanted. "Sonata, do you know what you want?" Adagio asked as she watched the ice in Sonata's glass for a second. "I think so." Sonata answered as she stopped stirring the ice to look at the menu to finalize what she wanted. She showed Adagio what she wanted and Adagio nodded, Aria looked down at her menu to decide what she wanted as Adagio went back to her menu. "Aria do you know what you want?" Adagio asked, she put down her menu and looked across the table at Aria. "Yeah." Aria said. She was eyeing either the Ham or the Cheese Omelet. "Ok good because here comes the waitress." Adagio stated as she took the girl's menu. "Are we ready to order over here?" the waitress in a high-pitched voice. "Yes I think so." Adagio answered as she smiled at the other two girls. "Ok then, we'll start with you." the waitress as she gestured towards Adagio. "Alright, I'm going to have the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs." Adagio said to the waitress. The waitress wrote it down on her notepad and then gestured to Sonata to go. "I'll have the Hot Waffle with streaky smoked bacon and maple syrup, please." Sonata said. The waitress wrote it down and finally pointed to Aria who ordered the Ham Omelet. The waitress wrote it down, asked if that was all, took the menus and then left after it was agreed that was all that was needed. "I want to color." Sonata said as she looked around. "Why. Only six-year-olds do that?" Aria stated to Sonata, she folded her arms on the table and looked over at Sonata with a look of confusion on her face. "Because it's fun." Sonata answered. She looked at Aria and playfully slapped her, Aria slapped her back. "Cut it out you two. We can ask if there's anything here for you to color on Sonata but I don't think there is." Adagio exclaimed as she leaned back in her chair and crossed her left leg over her right leg. "Ok." Sonata said. She went back to stirring the ice in her water which was mostly melted. The girls waited about a half an hour for their food, Sonata wasn't able to color anything and was talking nonsense at the moment, Aria was sitting with her arms still crossed listening to Sonata was a displeased look on her face and Adagio was doing something on her phone, Aria still thought it was unfair that Adagio was allowed to have her phone but Aria wasn't. She could just imagine how many text messages and notifications she had on her phone right now. The waitress finally came with their food and set it down on the table, she asked if everything was ok and left went she got a satisfying "yes" from all three of the girls. Sonata was the first one to touch her food followed closely by Aria and Adagio. It was silent for a few minutes before anyone spoke up, they were all to busy enjoying their meals to say anything to one another. "How's the smoked salmon Dagi?" Sonata asked as she looked up at Adagio's plate for a second when she took a drink of water. "It's good. How's the waffle with the bacon and maple syrup on it?" Adagio asked Sonata. "Good." was all Sonata said before she went back to eating. Aria's food was good and she was really enjoying it. When the girls finished with their breakfast and Adagio had paid the bill, they went outside and discussed what they were going to do. Adagio wanted to go look in some of the jewelry stores and Aria and Sonata both wanted to go and see if there was any races at the racetrack that day and Adagio said they would. After they would go get lunch and then see if there was anything else to do that appealed to them. As they walked down the street Aria began to think about what Sonata had said that night. She looked over at Sonata who was watching some birds fly overhead. "Hey Sonata, what did you mean when you said I get insecure when someone calls me Ari?" Aria asked, she whispered it into Sonata's ear so Adagio wouldn't hear her say it. "I just meant that you don't like being called that because your afraid of being made fun of or being though of as weak." Sonata answered, she whispered back. "Ok, just thought I'd ask." Aria stated as she watched the cars on the street go by.
The IdeaOne sunny morning in May in an old rugged house sat the Dazzlings.
