Spike grumped from the couch as Twilight wobbled into the living room. "Oh, Spike....you...you don't need to know...." She huffed, her tail dragging on the floor. Spike watched her with concern as she hoisted her shaky rump onto the couch, then all of herself, before flopping down onto the cushions with a groan. Spike crawled over, smoothing her glossy mane. "You've been drinking, haven't you..." He murmured exasperatedly. "No...." She lied, adjusting her forelegs. Spike arched a brow, and she sighed. "Oh, okay, maybe a little bit." She sighed, her hind legs quivering. Spike narrowed his eyes. "Yeah? What else happened at that party?" He demanded, and she managed to push him away. "N-Nothing, Spike! I-I need to go take a shower. You should probably get to bed now." She slid off the couch, found her footing, and tentatively putting one hoof in front of the other, made it across the living room. Spike watched her go. "Oh boy." He muttered, before pulling out his comic book, opening it, and beginning to read. Yeah, he'd go to bed. Later.   The next morning, Twilight rolled over in her bed with a groan. "Oh boy...." She thought, pressing the pillow over face and sighing into the silky pillowcase. She had hoped that she'd wake up, without a hangover, and with the whole party, Big Mac and all, would've been a really obnoxious dream. But, nope. She could still remember the feeling of her brain and body not working together, hazily following Big Mac upstairs, and- no. No no no. She did NOT want to think about that first thing in the morning. Lifting the blankets off of herself, she hopped out of bed, took a little bit of Advil, and winced at the throbbing in her temples. "Damn it....." She sighed, stamping a hoof. "Never am I going to another Apple Family party again. Ever!" She knew that wasn't true, but she was mildly traumatized from the events of the previous night. She looked down at the glossy floor. "I need a pick-me-up." She murmured. And she knew right where to get one: Sugar Cube Corners. "Heyyy, sleepy-head!" Laughed Pinkie Pie, her ears perked and her hooves clicking slightly as she bounced a little in place. "I never knew you could sleep in so late!" It was then she noticed that Twilight did not look happy, and she tilted her head to the side. "What's with the long face?" She asked in a softer tone, cantering around the table and resting a hoof comfortingly on Twilight's slender shoulder. "I just...it's a long story, Pinkie. Do you happen to have anything I could have that would cheer me up?" Her long tail swished and she met Pinkie's eyes. "DO I!" She squealed, bouncing away and behind the counter, into the back room. In a mere second, she'd bounced back with a plate of cupcakes. Clinking it down in front of the light purple unicorn, she grinned. "You'll be the first pony to taste 'em...a brand new flavor of cupcake! You'll have to guess what it is!" Twilight smiled, sniffing one before lifting it with her magic. Pinkie never failed to cheer her up.
