The tale of two Warriors

We talk through a plan for a few minutes discussing different ways to go through with my mission.  The ways just became weirder and weirder from me kidnapping her to that I’m a distant relative until Celestia finally comes up with a good idea, that being that if I do well enough on the entrance exam to the guards she can assign me to become a personal bodyguard for an important person. In this case for Twilight. But there’s one catch, she must accept me as a bodyguard and I must prove to someone she trusts that I can defend her.

“So you mean that in order for your plan to work I must not only score really high on the exam, gain her allowance but also fight someone she trusts to gain his or her trust which in this case probably will be her brother Shining Armor” I said.

“Captain Shining Armor” Celestia corrected me.

Well she probably wants someone that is interested in school, and that won’t be a problem since I’m from my perspective very cunning in math and technology. If I get it right ponies around here are not that advanced so she can learn a lot about that from me. The problem will be somehow proving myself to her brother.

“Now here we are, Ready to take the examination” Celestia said. While she looked at a 3-4 meter tall gate to the outside. Two guards saluted Celestia and opened the doors with their magic. They followed us and began discussing something with Celestia. She had told me to stay put while she went to the middle while talking to the two guards. She whispered something to them with a smile and they stopped and just looked at her in a dafuq way.

While they continued to walk I took a look around. There seemed to be different 3 training stations one for pegasi one for earth ponies and one for unicorns. The pegasi was more of an agility lap that went not only on the ground but also in the air. All pegasi there seemed to wear a lighter version of the golden armour and they were armed with either spears or twin swords.

The Earth pony one was dominated by off course earth ponies but there were some pegasi and unicorns also, the training here was more physical with weights runways and boxing bags, it looked like any gym I’ve been to, the only difference being a lot of heavier weights some discs going as high as 100 kg that the ponies carried like it’s nobody’s fucking business. The ponies here were clad in the normal heavy golden armour, with weapons such as sword/spear/mace/axes and shield. Some with Warhammers and 2 handed swords.

The last training ground was a lot of dummies for unicorns here to practice their magical ability in forms of shielding single target spells such as lightning bolt and firebolt and multitarget spells such as fireball and a type of ice wave attack. Here I notices how unicorns cast spells, their horns glow and then they use their hands to conjure up the spell. In the middle of the 3 training grounds were a magical dome. Inside ponies of all races sparred against eachother.

Celestia went to the top of the dome and shouted with the royal Canterlot voice,

“LISTEN ALL GUARDS” all guards stopped their training and looked at the top of the dome at Celestia. ”WE HAVE A NEW YOUNG PONY READY TO

TAKE THE GUARD EXAM” all guards started  to look around for the new blood in the royal army. “COME FORTH GEORGE VICTANIUS” Celestia said and pointed at me. All guards looked at me in wonder since I have a unique set of armour.

I passed all guards and went to join Celestia’s side, but since she’s flying I can’t. “YOU TWO HELP GEORGE UP TO ME” Celestia said while pointing to two of her strongest pegasi. The pegasi went to lift me and barely managed to do so. But since these were the elite and not normal guards as before they lifted me and carried me up to Celestia.

“AS YOU CAN SEE HE IS SPECIAL NOT ONLY DOES HE WANT TO BECOME A BODYGUARD BUT HE ALSO WILL USE HIS HOMEMADE ARMOR” The smith’s began to chat about my armour. “BUT ALTHOUGH HE WANT TO BECOME A BODYGUARD IT IS NOT FOR ME BUT TO SOMEONE I HOLD CLOSE” Celestia says. If they didn’t look at me with a hint of question before they were certainly doing it now. “THE EARTH PONY BODYGUARD EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF FIVE PARTS, THOSE ARE STRENGTH, SWIFTNESS, STAMINA, INTELLECT AND COMBAT COMPETENCE” Celestia said and ended her royal Canterlot voice.

First of is the strength examination.  I was showed to the earth pony training grounds where this examination was being held to see my maximum strength. I put on the helmet and the suit powered on. I walked to the examination ground in my armour while going through the suit to see if I can change some things to make me stronger.

I stood in front of the minimum allowance weight, it was on 100 kg. I had checked the armour so I did know how much it would help. But then a guard came up to me and said “you know that during the first four parts you can’t wear any armour”. I looked at Celestia for help and she sighed and said to the guard to stand down” he can still wear his armour since it will be what he’ll be wearing during his job as a bodyguard. I felt the weight and then lifted it. It felt like it weighed 5 kg. I said to Celestia that I need more to examination my maximum. After a while I reached my max right now, it was 250 kilograms I didn’t go any higher since I’m already 30 over the max on Shining Armor and I didn’t want to show anyone my full power.

Next was speed and endurance. They were both held at the pegasus training ground, my speed was insanely high for a colt and also the endurance (thank you Spartan armour and all those kilometres in bicycling).

Next was the intelligence examination it was being held at the unicorn training grounds, the guards tried to help but I silenced them saying I want this to be my own examination. I ended up almost acing the examination and getting 50/55 right. Most questions were about different weapons or techniques. I knew the weaponries because of modded Skyrim and the techniques from being really good in martial arts. The last five were history and since I’ve only been in Equestria for so short I didn’t have time to study.

The last examination were a fighting competence, it was being done in the giant dome. You went to a box were it scanned the pony and everything inside and made a copy of the pony inside the dome controlled by the originals mind. This allowed guard trainings to the death to prepare the guard for a life were you can see a lot of death. Inside I and the guard I was chosen to prove myself against picked our weapons. I picked nothing but a knife for in case things went to hell since I’m a martial artist and the guard got a spear and shield. Before the fight I got a message from the creator with a tip to be able to see him all the time. I marked the guard so I would see a red dot on him instead of a yellow to make him out from all of those who stood around the dome and watched inside at the battle that was going to play out. I rushed into the battle trying to act like a fool and the guard held the shield in front with the spear ready to throw. He threw the spear towards my stomach. Everyone that saw the battle thought that I was done when I did nothing to dodge the spear heading right for me. But since my armour is made to survive fall from space and plasma the spear did nothing against it except draining the shield on the armour with 1 percent, I continued to run towards the guard who just stared in shook as the spear didn’t do anything at all. But then I realised that it wasn’t an earth pony I faced but a unicorn. He started to charge some kind of rapid fire spell. I got hit several times in the chest by the magic bolts since I trusted my armour. It was then I realised why any magic that hit or tried to grab me did nothing. My shield on the armour shields against that as well. But since I was facing a rather physical unicorn instead of a normal not much happened to my shield. (Shield 80%)

I charged forward against him with my speed. He continued to try and blast me but now I was prepared and dodged all the blasts. I saw him stop using magic and gripped the shield with both hands in fear. (now let’s see how well my fists compare to their shields) I struck the shield and was amazed with the results. Not only did my arm go straight through the shield but also the guard himself. He looked at me in chock but a few seconds he looked down to his stomach to see an arm all the way through with my body pressed up against his shield. Then he said one of the things I hoped for. “Stop fisting me” he said and started to laugh at his own comment, only for me to remove my arm and roundhouse kick him in the neck thus paralysing him. I did a pose and said GG. The simulation ended and I came out but now the feeling in the air was heavy. Celestia looked at me with shook and said, ho... How could you kill him and just remain calm?

“I thought myself in a situation that a bodyguard could be in, either the enemy or the one you guard with your life” I responded but my thought was different. Thank you all games I’ve played. “now is there a place I can sleep I’m still just a kid and I need my sleep” I said to no one in particular.

“Of course” Celestia responded, “Blue Light and Shining Light escort George to the room I told you about” She then ordered the two unicorn guards who she talked to earlier.

I got escorted to a part of the castle known to me. “Isn’t this where Miss Sparkle lives?” I asked Blue light. “Yes but how did you know that” he said.

“Just a hunch” I said.

So I’m becoming a roommate to Twilight Sparkle. I thought

“Here are your chambers I will just inform your roommate of Celestia’s orders” Shining Light said.

Shining Light knocked on the door and a young twilight shouted “COME IN IT’S OPENED”

Shining Light opened and went inside with Blue Light after telling me to stay where I was.

I took this time to talk about my progress with Creator.

A few minutes and a WHAT scream later. “And now I’m going to become Twilight’s roommate”

The door opened and Blue Light’s head stuck out and nodded to me to come inside.
