Arrival-Twilight vs a familiar face
It was a dark night with no clouds. A full moon was in the sky, shining it's white light. The light came across a large building. The building was a school actually, with a dark red rectangular roof in the center surrounded by 3 trapezoid shaped smaller ones, two in front, and one in the back. A glass dome with a small castle with a red flag stood on the roof. At the corner of each of the smaller roofs, stood a golden horse statue on one end, with a golden crown statue next to it on the other. The building itself was purple with many windows. In front of the building stood a white statue of a horse, a symbol of the schools honor. Suddenly ripples appeared at the bottom of the statue, and out of the statue two figures emerged, crashing on to the floor. One was a girl. She had light, purple skin with dark purple hair containing a light shade of purple along with pink highlights. She had on a blue shirt with a pink bow on. Her skirt was dark purple and had a large dark pink star on it, surrounded by 4 smaller white ones. Her boots were dark purple, each containing two diamonds, white with a white cross through them. The top of the boots were dark pink, while the bottom were black. She hand on a blue backpack. Along with the girl their was a dog. The dog was light purple, had on a dark blue collar with spikes, with green fur on the top and side of his head. The collar had a gold lock attached to it, which had a light pink heart in the center. Groaning the girl rubbed her head as she rose up.
"Who knew travelling between dimensions could be so uncomfortable?" Twilight asked herself. "Spike, where are you?"
"Here, I am Twilight." Spike said as he also rose up. Twilight, and Spike then both opened their eyes and looked at each other. Both of them screamed.
"Spike, what happened to you?!" Twilight cried. "You're a dog!"
"What about you?!" Spike replied. "I don't even know what you are. You've lost your horn, and your nose is smaller. Plus you're wearing some really weird clothes. And what are those things you're pointing at me with?"
Twilight looked down to see that she now had hands. She gasped in horror.
"What are these?!" Twilight asked, clearly shocked. "What happened to my hooves?" Twilight tried to stand, but she was wobbly on her feet, and she crashed on the ground. Spike meanwhile was adjusting to his new form just fine. He had already mastered walking on all fours. Looking up at him Twilight got on all fours as well.
"Much better." Twilight said.
"Um, Twilight. I think there's something wrong about the way you're trying to walk." Spike said.
"Well, what else am I supposed to do? Walk on two legs?" Twilight asked. Spike shrugged. "But, I think you're right. Something feels wrong about this." Twilight struggled to rise on her new legs, and for a moment she had the hang of it. However she quickly almost fell back down, but Spike helped support her. Twilight sighed.
"This is going to take some getting used to. But what's important is that we find my crown soon. Do you see it anywhere?" Twilight said to Spike as she started to look around.
"Hey Twilight, what's that?" Spike asked, using his paw to point behind Twilight. Twilight turned around, and saw a short sword(Roman Gladius). The blade was dark purple, with a dark pink/light purple hilt. Attached to the hilt was a dark purple symbol in the shape of Twilight's cutie mark. Twilight then bent over, and picked up the Gladius. She then examined it.
"This is weird. This blade looks like it could belong to me, but I didn't bring it with me. Where did it come from?" Twilight said. Suddenly a dark pink aura surrounded the blade, and the star-shaped end started to flash brightly.
"Twilight what's going on?" Spike asked a little worried.
"I don't know. I just picked it up and-." Twilight started to say as from the end of the blade a deep purple blast was shot. The beam shot into the sky, and left a purple twinkle. Twilight, and Spike stared at the sky with shock.
"Uh Twilight?" Spike asked. "What just happened?"
"I have no idea." Twilight responded. "That beam looked like one of my magic blast. But the thing is when I first got here, I didn't feel any magic within me. What's even weirder is that when the blade started to glow, I still didn't feel any magic. It was like something differ-.''
In the sky the moon suddenly started to shine more brightly, almost to blinding levels. Twilight, and Spike covered their eyes. The light stopped shining, and Twilight uncovered her eyes. In front of her floating, was a cloaked(black) figure. In the hood Twilight saw a pair of white eyes, shining.
"Who are you?!" A booming voice said, making Twilight, and Spike flinch.
"(This seems familiar somehow)." Twilight thought to herself.
"Speak now!" The figure said in the same booming voice.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle, and-." Twilight began to say nervously.
"So, Twilight Sparkle, you are the one responsible for the anomaly in the sky." The figure said, interrupting Twilight. "What is your business here?!"
Twilight was now starting to get scared. She had no idea who this figure was, but their was something intimidatingly familiar about them.
"Well, you see um, I was just trying to-,actually I'm looking-it's kind of a long story-." Twilight was trying to say nervously. As if reacting to how nervous she was the Gladius was starting to glow again.
"Answer me!" The figure said. This startled Twilight, and without warning another beam shot from the Gladius, hitting the figure in the chest, and sending them sprawling across the ground. Both Twilight, and Spike look horrified. The figure groaning, started to rise.
"I'm so sorry!" Twilight said with panic. "I didn't mean to-."
"Silence!" The figure shouted. "It appears you are an enemy. I won't allow you to threaten this school. Prepare yourself for combat!" The figure raised a hand, and out of dark smoke a weapon materialized. It was a large scythe with a handle that was dark blue, and black. The area where the blade emerged had a black symbol with a white crescent moon on it. The blade itself was shining white, and curved like a crescent moon. The figure then charged towards Twilight, and slashed but Twilight ducked. Using the blunt end of the scythe, the figure hit Twilight sending her crashing into the statue. As Twilight started to get up the figure again charged, and swung the blade, but Twilight using the Gladius blocked the blow.
"I'm not here to fight you!" Twilight said.
"Then why did you attack?!" The figure responded with great hostility.
"It was an accident, I swear!" Twilight pleaded.
"A likely story!" The figure said. The scythe then began to glow dark blue, and with another swing, the figure blew Twilight away. Twilight slid, and nearly fell over, but was able to hold her balance. The figure again lunged towards Twilight.
"(If I don't do something, I'm dead!)." Twilight thought to herself. "(How was I able to use those blast? Focus Twilight, and concentrate!). As the figure approached Twilight took a deep breathe, and aimed the end of the Gladius. The Gladius started to glow, and a beam fired from it, which the figure deflected with the scythe, but it did push her back. Twilight then fired more beams which pushed the figure back even more as she deflected them, and kept her on the defensive. Twilight fired another beam, but this time the figure dissipated into black smoke instead of deflecting the beam. Twilight looked around, when black shadows formed behind her, and the figure was behind her. Twilight turned just as the figure swung the scythe. Twilight yelped, and again the Gladius glowed. Before the scythe could make contact, Twilight teleported, and appeared a few feet away from the figure. The figure looked on in curiosity.
"What raw skill you have." The figure commented. "It's a shame you're an enemy."
"But, I'm not an enemy!" Twilight cried. The figure then once again made her scythe glow dark blue. She raised the scythe higher in the air, and more energy started to flow into the scythe, creating a gust of wind that was pushing Twilight back. The sycthe then cacked with dark blue energy. The figure then brought down the scythe and fired a crescent dark blue energy wave at Twilight. The energy wave was huge almost the size of Twilight.Twilight's eyes widened. She wanted to dodge, but she could feel the power in the attack coming to her, and she simply froze partly out of fear, and partly out of admiration for the sheer raw power. The wave grew closer, and closer. Twilight then prepared for impact, when Spike jumped in front of her.
"Twilight!" He cried as he went between Twilight, and the wave. The wave closely approached Spike, and nearly engulfed him.
"Spike, no!" Twilight shouted. Again the Gladius started to glow. Twilight leaped, and grabbed Spike back. As the wave approached both of them, Twilight stuck out the Gladius, and a dark pink energy barrier surrounded both Twilight, and Spike protecting them from the attack. The wave, and the barrier were clashing, creating sparks of pink/dark blue. Twilight was clearly struggling to maintain the barrier. Cracks were starting to appear in it. Twilight was then forced to her knees, and seemed ready to give up. She looked down, and saw Spike was still in her arm, his eyes closed, clearly scared. Wanting nothing more than anything to protect Spike, Twilight rose, and the cracks in the barrier fixed themselves. Twilight then pushed the Gladius foreward, and the energy wave dissipated, also causing the barrier itself to shatter. The figure look on in increased curiosity. Twilight was panting heavily.
"Interesting. Instead of allowing your pet to take the blow, you created a barrier, even though it has clearly drained you, thus decreasing your chances of victory." The figure said.
"Spike is my friend. I would do anything to protect him. The same goes for all of my friends." Twilight said weakly. She was struggling to stand.
The figure then looked at Twilight for a while. She then removed her cloak, revealing her light blue skin, turqoise eyes, and flowing dark blue/light purple hair. Twilight was startled by what she saw.
"Luna?" Twilight said with shock. Twilight then dropped to her knees. Luna then approached Twilight, and looked down at her. Twilight then out of exhaustion crashed to the ground. As Twilight was on the ground, Luna observed her. Spike then leaped out of Twilight's arm, and came in front of her defensively. He growled at Luna. Luna raised her scythe, and Spike although scared, stood his ground. The scythe then vanished into black smoke. Spike had a look of curiosity on his face. Luna bent down in front of both Spike, and Twilight.
"During this battle, both of you have shown great loyalty, and courage." Luna told Spike. "In the case of your master it is also power. I have come to see perhaps she is not the enemy I thought she was. She has intrigued me. But I know someone else who will be even more intrigued by her."
Luna then raised her hand, causing black smoke to envelope her, Spike, and Twilight. The three of them then vanished.
Twilight then opened her eyes weakly, closed them, then opened them more fully. The sun was shining on her. Twilight then rose up. She was lying on a purple couch, covered by a pink blanket. Twilight looked around, and saw she was inside of an office. Right across from her sitting at a desk, was a woman. She had bright white skin, was wearing a yellow jacket with a sun symbol on the right side of it. Her hair was long, and multicolored ranging from green, blue, and pink. Next to her stood Luna who instead of wearing a black cloak, wore a purple shirt with a black crescent moon on the top collar of the shirt, which was white along with a belt over her waist. She had on dark blue pants, and wore pink/white shoes. Twilight then got of the couch. Next to her on the floor sleeping was Spike.
"Celestia?" Twilight said with bewilderment.
"Good morning, Miss Sparkle." Celestia said warmly. "It seems you already know who I am. I take it you also met my sister, Luna." Twilight looked at Luna, and smiled at her nervously.
"From what Luna told me, it looks like both of you had a little "alteration." Celestia said.
"Well, I wouldn't call it a "little" one." Twilight said.
"Miss Sparkle, and I indeed did have a battle." Luna said. "It was entirely my fault, as I attacked under the false pretense that Miss Sparkle was an enemy. I would like to apologize for any damage I have caused you."
"Oh, it's okay." Twilight said. "I mean people mistakenly try to kill each other all the time, am I right?"
"Still, based on what Luna told me, this seems to have been a beneficial experience." Celestia said. "After all she was able to see that you are a person who is of great virtue, and potential."
"You don't need to say that." Twilight said. "I'm nothing special."
"On the contrary, I would say you're more than special. Even though you were clearly inexperienced you held your own fairly well against me." Luna said. "Plus despite your disadvantage you still put your pet's safety over your own."
"What Luna is trying to say is that, Twilight you have exceptional qualities. Qualities which would be greatly welcome at my school. Would you like to enroll?" Celestia asked.
Twilight was shocked at the offer. This certainly brought back memories with her own Celestia. But before she should accept, she should try to figure out more about this world.
"Prince-er I mean Miss Celestia, I'm flattered by your offer, but before I accept, I just have some questions." Twilight said. "What is the story behind your school?"
Celestia smiled at Twilight. "It's rare I have to answer a question like this." Celestia said, making Twilight blush with embarrassment. "But I do enjoy explaining the purpose."
"Miss Sparkle, in this world individuals posses a power inside of them called Mana. It flows through them, and is the principle of life. Certain people can tap deep into it, and unleash extraordinary abilities. People can use them for good or for evil. In my case, my school aims to teach young people with this gift to use it for good, and to better the world." Celestia explained.
"(Just like my Celestia)." Twilight thought.
"Thus Canterlot Academy serves this purpose. It also teaches students how to channel their Mana in a medium like that Gladius of yours for proper control, and usage. It effectively becomes an extension of one's individual power." Celestia said. Twilight looked on Celestia's desk to see the Gladius lying there. "Does this quench your curiosities?"
"(That explains everything. The weird powers I've been manifesting, and the appearance of that blade. Entering this world must have caused me to have taken in the properties inherent in it.)" Twilight thought.
"Miss Sparkle, what will your answer be?" Celestia asked.
"(I need to find Sunset Shimmer as soon as possible. Since the portal brought me here, theirs a good chance she's a student here as well. If so I need to understand as much as I can in order to stop her, as if what this Celestia said is true, Sunset must also have her own abilities, which would make things even more complicated."). Twilight thought deeply. "Yes, I would like to enroll."
"Splendid." Celestia said pleased. "I'll call you in later in order to clear up some more issues. For now you are dismissed. Oh, and by the way pet's are not allowed on campus. I'll let it slide for today, but please be more considerate next time."
Twilight nodded. She then picked up Spike, and the Gladius. She then exited out of the office.
"(All right, Twilight, time to carry out your mission.)" Twilight thought to herself.
To Be Continued
Inside of Twilight's backpack, Spike was sleeping comfortably. Slowly he started to wake up as he opened his eyes. Groggily he started to move around a little inside of the backpack, before deciding waking up wasn't worth the effort, and closed his eyes again, preparing to get more sleep. However when Spike closed his eyes the memories of yesterday flooded in his mind, and with great urgency he popped his head out of the backpack.
"Twilight!" Spike cried as he frantically turned his head around in many directions, looking for any sign of danger. "Are you okay?! Where are we?! Where's the creepy person in the black cloak?! What day is it?! What time is it?! Are we-."
"Calm down, Spike." Twilight said as she turned her head around towards him. She was walking down the hallway of the school. "Everything is fine."
"Twilight, you're okay!" Spike said with relief. "What happened yesterday?"
"Spike, there are some things I need to explain to you." Twilight said. She then informed him on what Celestia told her.
"Wow." Spike said with amazement. "You got to meet another Celestia? You actually fought Luna? Plus you have some kind of new power flowing through you? That's awesome! Wait a minute it's not fair. How come you get turned into some weird creature with cool powers, but I'm stuck as just a dog?! I demand a redo!
"Sorry, Spike." Twilight said with a chuckle. "I guess I got lucky. But more importantly we need to find Sunset Shimmer, reclaim my crown, and return home as soon as possible."
"Right." Spike said nodding his head. "So how do we start?"
"Hmm, I haven't really thought of a plan yet, Spike." Twilight confessed a bit dejected. She, and Spike continued to walk through the hallway. It was full of students, each of them hanging around green lockers. Each student seemed to be carrying some kind of weapon ranging from swords, bows, spears, and other things. It was kind of unnerving to Spike.
"Uh, Twilight, I know this is a combat school or something, but seeing so many well...armed, is kind of weirding me out." Spike said as he observed the students.
"I feel the same way." Twilight said. "But we can't lose focus we need to-." Twilight, the whole time she was walking, had her head turned towards Spike, and wasn't looking where she was going. Due to this, she failed to notice up ahead a student was preparing to open his locker. Just as he did Twilight walked right into the locker door, and was sent to the ground.
"Ow." Twilight said as she rubbed her nose with her eyes closed.
"Oh man! Sorry about that!" The student replied. Twilight looked up, and saw a hand outstretched towards her. It belonged to a teenage boy. He had blue spiky hair, with blue eyes. His skin was light, and he was wearing a black jacket with red/white stripes on the arms over a white shirt which had a symbol of a blue shield with a yellow lighting bolt on to it. He had on blue jeans, with shoes that were black/white. Twilight took his hand, and he helped her out.
"Are you okay?" He asked. "I should've been paying more attention."
"No, that was my bad." Twilight said. "I wasn't looking where I was going."
"I haven't seen you around before." The student said. "Are you new here?"
"I am." Twilight responded. "I'm Twilight.
"Flash." Flash replied. Just then a bell rang, and students immediately left their lockers, and started rushing into classrooms.
"That was the bell, so it's now it's time to go to class." Flash explained. "What class do you have now?"
"I, well.. I don't know." Twilight admitted. Suddenly a look of horror came upon Twilight's face. "I don't know! This is terrible! How can I not know what my class is? I'll now be late for my class or I'll go the wrong class, and disrupt it. I'll then be known as someone who not only commits truancy, but who disturbs classes. People will then think I'm a bad student, and these expectations of me will also cause me to think I'm a bad student, and I will become one! Then I'll-."
"That escalated quickly." Flash said interrupting Twilight. "Listen, just relax. Right now I have Combat Training. Why don't we head to the class together, and see if we can sort things out from there?"
"That sounds....good." Twilight said calming down. With Flash leading the way both of them then walked towards Combat Training. They then entered a room labelled 203. Inside students were seated down in multiple rows of desk going from the back of the room to the front. In front of the room was a black stage. On the stage was a teacher with blonde hair. She was wearing a pink scarf over a purple coat, with a black dress. Her skin was light brown. As Twilight, and Flash entered the teacher noticed both of them just as the bell rang.
"Mr. Sentry good to see you on time." The teacher stated with an authoritative, and professional tone. "Who is this with you?!"
"This is Twilight, Mrs. Harshwinny." Flash explained. "She's new here, and she's not sure which class she's in right now."
"Hmmm, let me check my attendance list which I received from Celestia this morning." Mrs. Harshwinny said as she took out a golden tablet. "Ah yes, it says here I have a Twilight in this class. You're in the right place. Both of you take a seat so the class can now commence."
Twilight sighed in relief, and she, and Flash both took a seat. Flash sat in the middle of the class, while Twilight sat in the front. She put her backpack on the ground next to her. Spike popped his head out, and started looking around.
"Spike, remember no pets, so keep quiet, and out of sight." Twilight whispered. Spike nodded, and went back in the backpack.
"(I should pay close attention. This will help me better understand the new abilities I've been gifted with.)" Twilight thought to herself. As Mrs. Harshwinny began her lesson, Twilight took notes, and paid close attention. She took notes on how in combat an individuals mana allows them to take serious punishment without too much injury, but how much depends on the amount of mana the individual has. It is important in battle to keep record on how much mana you're using as using too much can drain you quickly, and leave you vulnerable in the middle of a fight. In battle, awareness of your limitations are the key to figuring out which actions to take, and whether some battles are worth fighting or not. Twilight found the talk fascinating.
"Simply, speaking of combat, I think does not provide a complete account of it when teaching students." Mrs. Harshwinny said. "We have some time, and I would like to conduct a sparring match. Any volunteers?
"I volunteer." A girls voice said. Twilight turned to see that it belonged to a student sitting a few seats away from her in the front. She had red hair with yellow stripes, had light green eyes, wore a black jacket with silver beads on the collar, along with an orange skirt with a purple/yellow stripe on it, and black boots decorated with purple accents. Underneath her jacket she wore a purple shirt with a symbol of a yellow/red sun on it. As Twilight looked at her, she could feel something familiar about her, but she couldn't put her hoo-finger on it.
"Very well. Please come on to the stage." Mrs. Harshwinny said. The girl then went on to the stage. "Who would you like as an opponent?"
The girl pointed to the way back of the room. She was pointing at another girl. She had flowing light pink hair with a white hair-clip shaped like a butterfly, wore a white tank top with a light green skirt that had a symbol of a pink butterfly, and a white butterfly. Her boots were also light green with white accents on the bottom. She had light yellow skin, with turquoise eyes. Upon being selected, the girl shrank back. Twilight also senses something familiar about this girl as well. What was this feeling of deja vu
"Fluttershy, please come on the stage next to Sunset Shimmer." Mrs. Harshwinny said." Upon hearing these names, Twilight's eyes widened in shock.
"(Fluttershy? Sunset Shimmer? This world has more in common with mine than I thought)." Twilight thought to herself. A look of dread then appeared on her face. "(Wait a minute Sunset Shimmer? I've found her! Or have I? For all I know this could be this world's Sunset rather than the one, I'm looking for. I can't be too sure. I need to pay close attention to this match.)"
Fluttershy mumbled something quietly.
"Did you say something, Fluttershy?" Mrs. Harshwinny asked.
Fluttershy again mumbled something quietly.
"Fluttershy, I cannot hear you. Would you please come on to the stage in order to conduct the match now?" Mrs. Harshwinny said.
With great reluctance, Fluttershy rose up from her seat, and walked toward the stage. As she was walking Twilight could see the look of fear, and anxiety in her eyes, and all over her face.
"(Poor, Fluttershy. She's exactly like my Fluttershy back home)." Twilight thought to herself. "(I hope for her sake this is this world's Sunset Shimmer she's facing, and hopefully she's friendly)."
Fluttershy arrived on the stage. Both Fluttershy, and Sunset faced each other. Mrs. Harshwinny stood in the center.
"The rules are simple. First one to land 10 strikes on the other wins. You have 5 minutes. I expect a clean match." Mrs. Harshwinny said.
Fluttershy looked nervously at Sunset. Sunset gave her a warm smile.
"Mrs. Harshwinny. I don't want to go to hard on Fluttershy." Sunset said as she turned to face Mrs. Harshwinny. "Is it okay if I don't use my weapon?"
"It's fine, but are you sure? Do you want her to use hers?" Mrs. Harshwinny asked her.
"Positive, and she can." Sunset said. She again faced Fluttershy with a reassuring smile.
"(This Sunset, doesn't seem so bad. Maybe she's not the one I'm looking for.)" Twilight thought.
"3....2....1...Begin." Mrs. Harshwinny said.
Fluttershy's hands glowed bright yellow, and in her appeared two-war fans. Both of them were pink, and shaped like butterflies with white, and green lines decorating them. Sunset simply raised her hands.
"You can have the first move." She told Fluttershy. Fluttershy gulped nervously, and looked around. Sighing heavily, she then charged towards Sunset.
"I'm sorry!" Fluttershy as she swung her fans at Sunset, but Sunset dodged them. Fluttershy did more swings, but Sunset effortlessly dodged them. As Fluttershy swung again, Sunset moved out of the way, and elbowed Fluttershy in the back, sending her on the ground. Fluttershy slowly got up, and faced Sunset. This time Fluttershy threw one of the war fans, but Sunset moved her head to dodge it, allowing Fluttershy to charge at her with the other, but Sunset got her wrist before the fan could connect. Using her free hand, Sunset delivered palm strikes to Fluttershy's face, shoulder, and stomach blowing her back.
"Could you take this a little more seriously?" Sunset asked with a smug tone. "I'm starting to get bored."
Fluttershy took a deep breath, and concentrated. The remaining war fan in her hand glowed yellow. The energy then left the war fan, and manifested itself as a golden, astral bear. It then roared. Twilight looked on fascinated.
"That's better. It does look like it relies on a lot of concentration. I'd be careful" Sunset said. Fluttershy tightly clutched her war fan. The bear then charged at Sunset, and did a number of swipes, which she evaded easily. Sunset did a range of punches on the bear's stomach but this did not faze it, and it smacked Sunset aside, but she was able to block the blow.
"I guess, I should step up things as well." Sunset said. Sunset closed her eyes, and took a deep breathe. The bear charged at hear, and slashed at her, but Sunset got the blow with one hand. Sunset's hands were now glowing with red and orange flames. Clutching the bears arm, Sunset then set the entire bear on fire, destroying it, which also caused Fluttershy to feel pain, and step back. Seeing her chance, Sunset charged at Fluttershy using her flames to boost her, and sent her flying in the air with a flaming uppercut. With Fluttershy mid-air, Sunset then boosted herself into the air with flames as well, and delivered a flaming kick that sent her crashing back into the ground. Twilight winced at this move. As Fluttershy staggered to rise up, Sunset again approached her, and delivered 4 flaming punches to Fluttershy each of them lifting her in the air, with the last one blowing Fluttershy into the wall, leaving cracks on it. Fluttershy then slumped to the ground, defeated.
"That's 10 strikes." Mrs. Harshwinny said as she held a stopwatch in her hand. "Sunset, excellent demonstration, and performance. That was 3 minutes, and 12 seconds. Fluttershy good attempt, but you should've saved your trump card for later, and try to focus more on defense as well as offense." The bell then rang, signalling class if over. "Class dismissed. You should tonights assignment on my website later on." Mrs. Harshwinny then left the classroom. The other students soon followed, except for Sunset, and Fluttershy(who was still recovering from the match). Twilight was also planning to leave, but she looked in her backpack, and saw Spike was sleeping. She rolled her eyes. As Twilight was going to wake up Spike, Sunset walked over to Fluttershy, who was rubbing her head. She then stood over her, glaring at her angrily.
"I told you, I would make you pay for getting in my way." Sunset said harshly to Fluttershy. "If you had just minded your own business, it wouldn't have had to come to this."
"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Fluttershy said as she looked up towards Sunset with fearful eyes. Twilight turned around, and saw what was going on.
"You shouldn't touch things that don't belong to you." Sunset said.
"It doesn't really belong to you either." Fluttershy said softly with harshness. However Sunset heard. She then picked up Fluttershy by her shirt, and slammed her towards the wall. With her free hand, she manifested flames.
"What was that?!" Sunset said menacingly. Fluttershy closed her mouth, and avoided eye contact with Sunset. "That's what I thought. You really are pathetic. It's no wonder why all your friends are stray animals. Speaking of which I wonder what roasted rabbit taste like."
"If you hurt them, I'll-". Fluttershy began to say mustering bravery.
"You'll what?" Sunset interrupted, silencing Fluttershy again. "No finish. I'm really curious on what kind of threat the girl who didn't even touch me once in a fight can threaten me with." Again their was silence from Fluttershy. "Just for even thinking about threatening me, I think you've earned yourself some burns." Sunset brought her flaming hand closer to Fluttershy's face, who closed her eyes, and braced for the coming pain.
"Leaver her alone." Twilight said, causing both Fluttershy, and Sunset to turn towards her.
"What did you say?" Sunset sneered.
"I said, leave her alone. You can't talk to her that way, or hurt her." Twilight said firmly. She then walked towards Sunset. Sunset dropped Fluttershy on the ground, and walked towards Twilight. Both of them now faced each other, glaring at each other with anger. Sunset then smirked. and pushed past Twilight.
"Since, you're new here, I'll let your insolence slide. But heads up, here, I can do whatever I want." Sunset said. She then walked away. Sunset then paused. "On second thought, I hate insolence." Sunset then turned around, and fired a fireball at Twilight. Twilight without thinking summoned her gladius, and conjured a shield to block the blow, making a small explosion, with black smoke. When the smoke was cleared, Sunset was gone.
"If this is this world's Sunset, then she might be just as bad as mine." Twilight grumbled. She then turned around, and went over to Flutteshy who was on the ground. Twilight offered her a hand.
"It's okay, she's gone for now." Twilight told Fluttershy reassuringly with a smile. Fluttershy took her hand, and Twilight helped her up.
"Thank you." Fluttershy said so softy, that Twilight barely heard. "No one has ever stood up to Sunset Shimmer like that."
"I guess, theirs a first time for everything." Twilight said. "I'm Twilight by the way."
"I'm Fluttershy." Fluttershy responded again softly.
"I know." Twilight said. "You remind me of someone I know." Just then near the desk where Twilight was sitting Spike popped his head out of Twilight's backpack, looking around the classroom.
"Oh my! How adorable!" Fluttershy exclaimed as she saw Spike. She then moved past Twilight to where Spike was, and started to admire how cute he was. She then started petting Spike. Spike was wary at first, but as she continued to pet him, he felt more relaxed, and liked it, so he let it happen.
"You're dog is so cute!" Fluttershy said as she fawned over Spike. She then raced over to where she was sitting in the back of the classroom, and came back with a yellow backpack. Out of it she took out a dog biscuit and presented it to Spike. "Eat up, pup." Spike sniffed the treat a little, and slowly ate it. Once he finished it, his eyes shone with delight. He enjoyed it.
"I love animals." Fluttershy said. "That's why I use them for my mana."
"I remember that." Twilight said. "That was actually pretty impressive."
"It does take a lot out of me, so I can't maintain it for so long. I'm still practicing." Fluttershy explained.
"Why was Sunset so aggressive to you?" Twilight said.
"Well it all started this morning." Fluttershy said. "I was passing out fliers for the animal centers, when all of a sudden I was hit in the head by something. It turns out it was some kind of crown. It looked important, so I turned it into Principal Celestia's office. I later found it belongs to Sunset Shimmer as after I did she came up to me, and yelled at me for turning it in. She promised to get me back, and with what went on in class I guess she did."
"(Not only is the crown here, but Sunset's reaction to what Fluttershy did tells me the Sunset from Equestria is the one I just met. All of the pieces are in place. Now to put them together.)" Twilight thought to herself. Just then the bell rang.
"Oh, it's time to go now." Fluttershy said. She then picked up her backpack, which was partially open, revealing Angel bunny. a sparrow, and kitten inside. "I also bring my pets to school, even if it's not allowed. I'll see you around." Fluttershy then left.
"(All right, Twilight, time to begin operation "Get Back the Crown)." Twilight then picked up her backpack with Spike inside, and also left the classroom.
