A Loving Friendship

"Thank you so much, Twilight." Starlight said, hugging the Princess of Friendship. Twilight was letting Starlight chose her own friends and the unicorn's first friend, Trixie Lulamoon, was watching the fireworks she had ignited.

"I'm just sorry that I tried to force you to be friends with anypony except Trixie..." Twilight Sparkle said with a frown. She had been so sure that Trixie was not 'first friend material'. Twilight had been wrong, in a since. Trixie had not been completely trustworthy in the past. But now, Twilight knew Trixie had changed her ways. "I trust you two. I know you might just be starting as friends now, but you can be as close as me and my friends now, if you try hard enough."

Starlight looked over to Trixie, who was smiling at the display. Trixie slowly turned to look at Starlight with a big grin on her muzzle. Trixie walked up to the two ponies. "So, what now?" Trixie asked looking at her hooves.

"Well, just hangout, do things together, that kind of thing." Twilight said matter-of-factly. She remembered what it was like starting out with her Ponyville friends. How nice it was to spend time with them.

"O-okay," Starlight nervously said looking to Trixie and shrugging. "So Trixie, want to hangout tomorrow?"

"Sure." Trixie said before walking away. What Twilight and Starlight did not know was Trixie was blushing with a big smile and a new step in life.

Starlight Glimmer was awoken by a knock at her bedroom door. "W-who is it," she asked om a groggy voice.

"It's Twilight," Twilight's voice came through the door. "I was just wondering how much longer you were going to sleep for."

Starlight looked to her bedside clock. "It's 7:30 in the morning!" Starlight said with a huff. Starlight usually woke up at 9:00 in the mornings.

"Yes. Well, don't you want to go visit your new friend bright and early?" Twilight asked, her voice cracking a little.

Sounds like Twilight is having one of her breakdowns Starlight thought to herself. "I don't think Trixie is even awake yet."

"That means you can have some breakfast before you go, then." Twilight said, calming herself down. Starlight's stomach gave a loud growling sound. "I'll put something together when you get done."
