A nice cool breeze gently flows through the sky, as you lay on the grass. Your eyes twitch as the sun begins to shine throughout the trees.
What the..? you wake up from your nap and look around the area. "Where, am I?" you ask yourself as you begin to rub the rheum out of your eyes.
In a groggy state, you pick yourself up off the ground and begin to stretch. Where in the world am I? You ask yourself as you question your current location, you see a leash in your hand and quickly put the pieces together. You took a walk with your beloved pet through the woods and during said walk, you decided to relax and take in all the beautiful scenery and silence.
Guess I dozed off; I should probably get home soon.
You tug at the leash to signify your pet that it's time to go. However, the moment you pull the leash, there was no sign of some sort of weight at the other end. You turn around and to your shock, your little pup is nowhere to be seen. 'Teri!" you call out, again and again, but the sound of rustling dog tags or a heavy panting sound are nowhere to be heard. You start to worry about any dangerous situation you beloved animal friend could be in. Oh man, where could she be!
Without even thinking you begin to run straight through the forest, all the thorn bushes, and low branching trees in your way didn’t matter to you, the only thing you cared about was the safety of your pet. As you continue to rush through the woodland landscape, you see a bright patch of light.
Maybe that's a way out, you considered.
As you place your hand on one of the shrubs, you hear a conversation between what appear to be little girls. You're cautious about asking them for help with a lost dog, knowing that's one of many tactics used by pedophiles
But, I have to find her, weird looks or not I have to make sure she's okay.
You proceed to crawl out of the bushes, and just as you're about to ask the two girls if they've seen your dog.
However, the moment you and the two, well "little girls" so to speak, made eye contact, looks of shock and befuddlement were meet.
To the little "girls"; I was a six-foot alien standing on two feet.
But to you, they looked like something straight out of some shitty kids show yet, they look to real to be costumes.
Your curiosity gets the better of you, and you decide to go out once more, but the moment you do, there already gone.
Am I just seeing things? Maybe your just dehydrated, that could be it.
Your search for a nearby water source, and just your luck you found a surprisingly big barn. They must have lots of water
Without a second to waste you race over to the barnyard, with high hopes of retaining some cool fresh liquid
you walk up to the steps and happily knock on the door.
"What can we do ya for sir?" she said, with southern euphemisms and all.
"Yes, I was wonder I if I could.."
You stop mid sentence as what stands before you, was a fucking orange talking pony with a blonde mane and a cowboy hat to boot.
"By Celestia's... I ain't never seen a creature quite like you before in Equestria."
You just stood there, completely speechless at the sight the lays upon you. At that point, you feel like the world stops spinning.
"Um hello, earth to... What the hay are ya anyway?" she asked
"P-Pony" you utter under your breath.
"Excuse me?" she asks
"You're a talking pony" you replied
"So what, you're a...a...What the hay are ya anyway?" the orange mare asks.
It seems either I've been transported to another universe where there are equines have evolved the ability to speak in a human manner. That, or you're on some drug trip because your so called college friends are asshole, and lace your drink with acid or something before you went on your walk. Well for the sake of the story I guess I'm going with my first clue. Besides, I need all the help I can get if I'm ever going to find my dog.With the look of total dullness on your face, you answer the orange ponies question.
sigh "I'm a Human" I answer to her previous question
"A what now?" she said with look of confusion
"I am a Human being from a different world." Or whatever my cracked out mind has cooked up
"Huh, Ah don't know much about different dimensions and what not" she replied. "But maybe Twilight can help ya, she knows almost everything about creatures from different dimensions"
Twilight? It better not be what I think it is. But knowing what kind of fanfic this is, it's probably going to be another pony type character.
"Yeah sure" you reply in your apathetic tone. "So, Do you perchance have any water I could drink? I think I might be slightly dehydrated."
The orange mare walks behind you using her muzzle to nudge you to the open door. "Well come on in then, don't want you to get too hot in Celestia's sun now."
"Celestia?" you ask. "Who's Celestia?"
The orange mare is taken aback by your question. I mean you are a creature from another world, so why would she?
"You don't know, well I'm not really surprised." The mare proceeds to tell you at least some of what she knows about the princess, her sister, discord; sparing a few details here and there
"So she lowers and raises the sun every morning and evening?" You ask bewildered.
"Yep'." She replies
Princess of Equestria, Raises the sun, Stereotypical sounding horses? Man if this is a trip, this must be some serious shit.
"How can she do that if she's just a horse? What is she some kind of unicorn." you snicker.
"Well actually, she's an Alicorn." she stated "They have unicorn horns, and wings'
You pause for a second, "Huh, well at least I was half right." You utter under your breath
"And lets me guess, are there unicorns and Pegasus in your world?" You ask in an apathetic manner.
"Yep!" She replied.
"Well isn't that just dandy!" you shout with a fake smile and sarcastic tone. "Oh by the way, If you don't mind me asking. What's your name?" You ask expecting it to be something out of the of the ordinary, despite being in a world dominated by horses. So even if it did sound weird it would probably the most normal thing you would hear.
The country mare turned around, with a little bit of pride in her step.
"The name's Applejack" she replied, "Ah work this orchard named 'Sweet apple acres' With my big brother Macintosh, Granny Smith, and little sister Apple Bloom."
Shit, they're reproducing.
"Anyway, what's yer name?" she asks.
"My name... my name is... Um" Shit do I have amnesia or something; how the hell did I for get my name!?
"Ya do know yer own name, right?" she asks.
You stumble on your words a little, before coming up with a name. At least one you could use temporarily. "My name is...Hu," you answer back "Hu Smith!"
"Well, it's nice ta meet ya, Hu." Applejack replies
You know this isn't your real name, but it'll have to do, for now.
"Well come on in now, you said you're dehydrated right?" Applejack asks.
"Yeah." As your conversation with Applejack ends, you both enter the house.
