Becoming Parents

I awoke to see my wife is not in bed. 'The doctors told her to stay active so maybe she went for a walk.' I thought as I walked downstairs and fixed myself some toast with apple butter. As I munched away at my toast. "Fluttershy would have left a note if she was going to be gone for a while. Or else I worry." I waited about half an hour until I was to paranoid. "That's it. I am going to find her." I walked around the house looking for any sign of her. I even asked the animals 'Even though I can't understand anything that comes out of their mouths.', but they haven't seen her either.

I walked towards the town asking random ponies if they seen her. After the 13th pony, they said that she was at the castle. I thanked the pony and headed to said castle. When I was at the door, two guards stopped me.

"Halt! What is your business? The elements are doing something of great importance, so no visitors." The unicorn guard said.

"I am Jesse. Husband of Fluttershy. I think you would know that, sir. There was a huge wedding in Cantorlot." The two guards exchanged glances at each other, and whispered to each other.

"Sorry sir, but we can not let you in without proof of this 'marriage'. Now please leave or we will force you." The pegasus guard ordered me.

"As you say sir." I faked grin and walked away until I was out of sight. Then I walked around the castle. "Okay. You can do this. No freaking out." I told myself looking up at the balcony at the window to the map room. "Just going to fly up their, talk to Fluttershy, and leave." I stretched like dash told me. "Okay. Forelegs stretched forward, plot up, wings spread, and 3...2...1!" I jumped up and flapped as hard as I could. Being as skilled at flying as a 12 year old colt I fumbled to keep my balance. "Straight lines I can do. Straight up, and I look like something is wrong with me." I grunted trying to push myself, going in a small circle so I can keep half my balance. After about ten minutes I grabbed the ledge and pulled myself up. I panted and opened the door/window and I was met by the eyes of the main six and they turned into scowls.

"Mind explaining why you sneaked into my castle." Twilight said in a demanding town.

"I came to see my wife." I told her.

"So? We don't know who your wife is." Rainbow said nonchalantly.

"But you were at my wedding." I looked over at Fluttershy. "Are the girls having a case of memory loss?" I looked at her belly. It was flat. "Did something happen to it?" I whimpered.

Fluttershy had a blank face then hid behind her mane and remained silent. My ears lowered in confusion but flicked back up when Rarity spoke up.

"Darling, you really shouldn't bother Fluttershy. The poor dear is very shy around new ponies, darling. Now can you please leave or else I will call the guards, darling."

'She never says darling that much... Something is up.' "Okay. I will go. Have a nice day girls..." I walked out the door towards the stairs. "Bye Fluttershy..."

*Inside the castle after Jesse left*

The mane six shared glances, then they nodded to each other. A blaze of green fire revealed six changelings.

"I think we are missing some info on our prisoners." The one who was Twilight said.

"Agreed. He knows something we don't." The one being RD said.

"He was looking at my belly... I think we need to ask for a extra report on the shy one from the hive." The one being Fluttershy said. "I could sense his love towards me was stronger than the regular towns ponies."

"We must do something!" The fake Rarity yelled. "Our cover could be blown!"

The one being Pinkie smacked the back of the worried changeling's head "Calm down. He is just one pegasus. What could he do?"
