Chapters Part 1- An "Average" Life
I struggled to stay awake, through Miss Cheerilee's lesson. Not that I did this much, but this week felt longer than usual. Since she was also my last class of the day, it felt like Friday was taking its time. That reminded me, I still had nothing to do. I didn't hang out with many other kids. Guess I just have trouble putting myself out there. Which is odd because so many kids here stood out. Sunset and her friends were an obvious example.
Thankfully the bell rung soon after I began to think about this. I got up from my desk and left the classroom, yet again I saw Cheerilee messing around with Big Mac. The halls were busy of course, but I didn't mind. You learn how to move in and out of the human traffic. Looking around I saw and heard alot of my peers talking to their friends. Next to all of them were discussing plans on what to do, I do hope they have fun. I wasn't mad that no one hanged out with me, everyone just gets along with certain people.
Well, I did hang out with some people. Although, practically all of them were family or friends of my family. I just shook my head, thinking about this would only stress me out.
When I went through the front doors I saw a few more people talking to their friends. I even saw Sunset Shimmer and her group. I was still nervous about her, but I could tell she changed. I'm just glad she ignored me back then, granted it would have ment actual human contact. Anyway, I suppose this is were I stood out for once. Everyone had at least one person to call friend, except for me. I simply sighed and continued on my walk home.
It wasn't a long walk, maybe fifteen minutes at most, and besides I needed the exercise. It was spring, so everything was blooming. I always did like spring, mostly because it rained a fair amount during it. That and the different flowers, wide variety of birds, and everything coming to life. All of that just made me feel warm inside.….I probably sound like a hippie, don't I?
Don't worry, I'm not one of those people..I hope. I continued to look around my neighborhood, when I noticed something..nope someone. She was standing under a aspen tree, and she wore a brown coat with feathers. She had pure white hair and golden eyes. She almost looked elegant with all of this…if that wasn't for the fact she was holding a guy in the air. I couldn't figure out who he was, but I then relised who the girl was. To say I felt fear, is to say the Predator was ugly.
Her name was Gilda and to my shit luck, she noticed I witnessed what was going on. Her eyes were like daggers as she looked straight at me. It was as if she was staring at my soul, this was also when the other guy noticed me. "Run," I barely heard him whisper. Since I shouldn't disappoint him, I bolted off as fast as I could.
From a quick look I got, Gilda dropped the guy and went to chase me. I'm not too sure why she was chasing me, but that didn't matter. For one, she had a massive advantage. She was more fit, didn't Carry a heavy backpack, and seemed to be filled with pure rage. Thankfully, fear is one of the many motivations for a coward. Because I ran faster then I ever had before, my mind was also completely blank.
As she chased me I turned down a road I rarely went on. I figured if I could get her confused about direction then I could slip away. Another up side, was the fact that the roads were complicated in my neighborhood. There were plenty of shortcuts, hideouts, and somewhat hidden areas. Currently we were on a narrow dirt road.
It had plenty of small curves that I needed. I quickly turned near a small old house and hid in a small ditch. I held my breath, as Gilda also turned on to this road. I stopped hearing her footsteps and I went to take a quick look. She stopped in the middle of the street and looked around. It seemed that she lost me. Then I noise came from down the road and she went for it. From my guess it was a racoon or a bunny, that made the noise.
I stayed in the ditch for a minute or two, trying to calm myself. Thankfully the trip home was uneventful. My house looked so welcoming after my ordeal. It was a simple brick house, small garage, small garden in the front yard, peach tree in the front too, a massive back yard, and simple steps to the door.
I unlocked the door with my keys and walked in. My parents were visiting my aunt for the weekend, so I had the house to myself…by myself….while a psychopath is hunting me. I imeditly turned and locked the door. I closed the blinds in the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. I sat down on the couch in the living room, thankfully the house was clean so I wouldn't have to worry about that.
The only spot that wasn't that clean was the coffie table, but that was fine. I picked up the remote from it and turned on the tv. There wasn't much on, so I put it on the 80s Transformers movie. It just started, it was at the opening scene where you first see Unicron. I always enjoyed the villans in movies, and what's better then a transformer that eats planets?
I looked over at the other small table in the room which had my Warhammer 40k miniatures. I went over to continue the panting. They were a small army of Imperial Guard, I decided to work on. It was going pretty well, until I heard a knock at the door.
"Did she find me?" I worringly asked myself. I heard the knock again, I needed something to defend myself. I looked around and found a old baseball bat my grandfather used to own back in the day. I picked it up and moved quietly towards the door. I checked the small eye hole, I couldn't believe myself. It was vice principle Luna.
I took a deep breath and opened the door. "Vice Principal, how are you?" I asked as I put the bat behind the door. She looked at me calmly and said "I thought we were on a first name bases?"
My mother was friends with Celestia, so me and Luna knew each other. Hell, she was a 40K fan like me so we got along very well. Even if she was Eldar fan. Although I could also tell by her voice and the look she had, that this was something serious. "Look, I understand that something happened recently?" She asked me.
Shit. How did she know about Gilda already? Actually knowing her she probably just used Twitter or something. I gave her a look that told her yes. She shook her head, "Look, on Monday I need you to come to my office, ok?" She said to me. I nodded and she took her leave. I swear this whole day was a mess.
The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful, but still nice. Come Monday, I did my usual routine. Brush teeth, coffie, biscuits, comb hair, and get dressed. My parents would be home in the evening to pick me up, but I had to walk this morning. Still, it's a good way to wake up. The school wasn't that packed yet so there wasn't much human traffic. Although I did notice something, everyone seemed to take a quick glance at me.
Ok, not a good sign I thought to myself. I went down to Luna's office, the halls down this way had a few broken lights. They never got around to fixing them, so it always gave this sence of dread. Finally I reached the door with Luna's name on it. I gave it a knock and heard "come in" Inside the first thing I saw, was not Luna. It was that pair of golden eyes, Gilda was sitting in a chair next to Luna's desk.
"Well Orion, come take a seat"
To be continued oOoooOOOOoooooOOO
Author's Note
I really appreciate criticism, if you have some. Also I hope you enjoyed the chapter, fair warning there could be long breaks in between them.
I hesitated for a moment looking at the chair Luna motioned me towards. Sadly, the look in Luna's eyes indicated she wouldn't take no for an answer. So I pulled out the chair carefully, feeling Gilda's death glare at me. "So Orion how are you today?" Luna asked in a surprisingly calm voice.
I hesitated, mostly because I thought Gilda was gonna kill me. "I'm fine.." I answered. Luna simply nodded and looked over at Gilda, "Could you step outside for a bit Gilda?" Luna's voice made it sound more like a demand then a question. Without even a word Gilda got up, gave me another glare, and walked out. Luna then gave me a smirk, and took a sip of her coffee.
Luna gave me another look, "So, about what happened on Friday." Luna said in a more stern tone then usual. I put my head down, "Look, I didn't say anything I just saw her....then she chased me." I answered. Luna gave me a curious look. She shook her head and sighed.
"You know, Gilda has had a lot of these situations before. I want to make a deal with you." Luna said. I looked back up, wondering what she meant by this. "What do you mean?" I asked.
Luna gave me another look, "I need someone to keep an eye on her, make sure she gets to class and stays out of trouble." I knew almost immediately what she was getting at. I gave Luna a death glare. "Hell no." I said sternly. Luna simply shook her head and looked back at me.
"Why not?" She asked in an almost childish voice. I gave her another glare, "She nearly killed me!" I said getting irritated. She gave me another calm look "Shes done that to nearly everyone." Luna said back. I took a deep breath to try and calm down.
"Why would you even want me to do this?" I asked trying to calm down. Luna took a second to get the right words and answered "You blend in easily, you pay attention to detail, and you are fast...incase she chases you again." I gave her a dumbfounded look.
I sighed again, "what do I get in return then?" I asked, somehow considering what she wanted. Luna gave me a smirk, she then reached down from her desk and pulled out two boxes. A gunpla of Epyon from gundam wing, and what looked like a whole army of Blood Angel space marines. I looked intently at the two items.
"So you're bribing me to risk my life? for plastic?" I asked. Luna nodded with her smirk. "You have a deal." I said to her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both me and Luna exchanged phone numbers, so I could call her in case Gilda ran off. I walked out the door, feeling somewhat smug. That was until I felt Gilda's now signature stare again. All of my confidence seemed to shrivel up and die when she did. I turned my head slowly, trying not to shake...sadly I failed.
I tried to bring words to my mouth, but each one died on its trip. She just stared at me, "I already know. Follow you around or I'm expelled." Gilda said in a terrifying tone. I simply nodded and motioned her to follow me. She just paced past me, "I already know the first class dweeb." I snapped out of my fearful state, shocked someone still used dweeb as an insult.
She then turned her head with anger in her eyes. "What?! Come on lets get this over with!" She ordered at me. I quickly went back to my scared state. So I did what she said and continued to walk behind her. I put my head down trying to calm down.
My eyes explored the yellow floors of the hallways, I was always amazed by how clean they keep everything. Guess that Discord janitor was good, even if he seemed off. I was still nervous to be around her, I still had a feeling she'd kill me; but I still managed to be somewhat relaxed.
I moved my head back up after calming down more. My eyes were met my something I really wish I didn't love staring at. Gilda's bottom was secured in her blue jeans. It was surprisingly large for her, but she was well endowed. I really wanted to look away, as her catching me would be a death sentence for me. Sadly my willpower wasn't the strongest...
Thankfully for me Gilda knocked loudly on the door of our first class. It scared my head backup to normal. It was math class, and the bell rang awhile ago. Hopefully Luna called to let the teacher know. That said teacher did open the door, their expression changed when she saw Gilda. "Go on, seat yourself." Time Turner said to Gilda. He simply smiled and nodded at me. Thankfully no one seemed to notice me, they all seemed to be focused on Gilda; although, a few looked at me when the noticed me next to her....crap
If to make that worse the only spare seat was next to Gilda, which I sat in awkwardly. I heard a few whispers in the back of the class, no doubt talking about Gilda...and possibly me too. Turner taught multiple grades for math, freshmen to junior to be exact. I simply sighed and pulled out my notebook. Turner continued to teach fractions, I simply too notes. I then noticed that Gilda had no paper or even a pen.
I quickly and quietly took a piece of paper, a spare pen, and moved them both over to Gilda's desk. Gilda turned to me curiously with a very confused look on her face. She gave me a quiet yet clearly sarcastic thank you. I just shook my head, but at least I tried being nice to her. The rest of the class was uneventful, this included the next two classes.
Throughout all three of them I could hear people muttering when they saw Gilda, they did it more when the saw me with her. I simply tried to ignore them, but it was still tough for me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both me and Gilda walked in the lunchroom. She practically led me to our own table. There were three guys sitting there, but seeing Gilda walk towards the table made them all bolt. I felt sorry for them, but I somehow doubted I could protest. Once we both sat down I pulled out my lunch bag and rummaged through its contents. A trail mix, slices of an orange, carrots, a brownie, and a sandwich. Gilda on the other hand, had nothing.
"Do you?...have any....food.." I asked not being able to not be quiet. She gave me another glare, but saw something different in her face. She seemed somewhat saddened by that question, I was just surprised she could hear me. I looked down at my contents.
I just shook my head and handed over my sandwich. "What are yo-" Gilda said until she saw the look on my face. "Just have it, I have plenty of food." I said to her. She gave me a curious look, one that for once wasn't laced with anger. She grabbed the sandwich from my hands. It didn't take her long before she started eating.
We sat there quietly in silence. I tried to think of something to start a conversation. "So....what type of music do you like?..." I asked, thinking of a cliche question. Gilda turned her head to me, with her eyebrows cocked. She sat there in silence for so long I thought she chose to ignore me. "I like metal and rock.." Gilda answered.
I turned to her, actually interisted in her answer. "Me too actually, favorite bands?" I asked becoming more comfortable. She seemed to be a little more comfortable too. "Well, ffdp is pretty good. Dethklok was good before they canceled the show"
My face lit up, "Oh I love dethklok, really wish adult swim kept it" I said actually not quite scared of her beating me up. She chuckled slightly. "I know, it was hilarious. So what hobbies do you have?" Gilda asked.
I looked at her and gave an honest answer "I paint miniature soldiers from a scifi universe, I assemble figures of Japanese robots, and I tend to draw." I could see her small smile fade away almost in seconds. She turned her head away from me "You ruined it, you made it nerdy." She said sternly.
"But...I...dammit.." we sat at lunch in a silence again. At least I got somewhere with her.

At the end of the day both of us walked out the front doors. I turned to say a friendly goodbye to her, but she seemed to have disappeared. So I just continued to walk forward. Seeing my dad in his car to pick me up. His old green colored, I could never remember the name but it was a 70's model.
I got into the car, and tried to relax. "Hello sonny, how was your day?" my dad asked in his classic calm and warming voice.
"It was something.."
Author's Note
I can't excuse the wait for this chapter so I am sorry. I will try to update more but I can't be certain. If you did enjoy than comment and tell me what you think. Thank you for reading.
The ride with my dad home was silent, but that was fine between us. We didn't need to talk, we could usually understand what the other was thinking without speaking. Based off of his joyful expression I assumed he was in a good mood. No doubt my mom would probably tell me how their vacation was. As we rode down the road to our decently sized house, I noticed someone familiar walking down one of the roads.
There Gilda was walking by herself, I was still wondering how she slipped past me when school was out. She had her hands in her pockets, with her head down. I couldn't get the best look at her, in the car anyways, but I could tell she was heading down a rough dirt path. It was then I saw that her head lifted up, and her eyes met mine. Again for the second time that day, she didn't look angry. In fact, from the few seconds I saw, she looked sad.
Our eyes parted almost as quickly as they met, and we drove past her; but, in the car mirror I could still see Gilda. She was still looking at the car. I didn't feel scared or nervous by this, in fact part of me had been worried about her. It didn't take long for my dad to notice me. He asked me "Who were you looking at?"
"Oh just a....friend" I answered hesitating to get a good answer. In a sudden motion, my dad stopped the car and looked me dead in the eyes. "You have a friend?!" My dad asked loudly clearly overjoyed. My eyes were wide open in shock from his action. I sat there in silence, so I simply nodded.
He then continued driving with a massive grin on his face. The sudden realization that he would tell my mom, slowly began to eat at me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When we got home my dad quickly opened the door, but I had a feeling he'd wait to tell my mom. My mom came up to me with a large smile on her face. "Oh I'm so happy to see you baby" she exclaimed happily. I groaned, but I did expect her to be this happy. She then started telling me about how their trip was, it seemed like fun to me. They did they usually things, swimming, restaurants, and hiking.
I nodded not quite knowing what to say. After our greeting and catching up I went to my room. My mom seemed to have cleaned 90% of the house while I was gone. The tables were cleaned off, floor was vacuumed, and clothes were put away. My room was decently cleaned, but my armies and model kits weren't touched so that was relieving.
The imperial guard army was almost finished, but I was just planning on selling it. As for the few model kits that I had, deathscythe was almost finished, just needed a bit more painting. So I just needed to think of which one to continue. After a few minutes I decided deathscythe needed to be finished.
I took a dry brush and a little bit of grey paint to add a few scratches onto him. I was trying to make him look battle damaged, as it was the only thing I knew what to do. As I added the small scratches my mind began to wander. Gilda had been my first thought. I wondered why she had that look on her face when we drove by. She looked really upset about something, but I didn't know what. I started thinking if I could cheer her up tomorrow at school.
It then hit me that I was worried about someone who almost killed me. Part of me wanted to slap myself for thinking that way, but most of my head somewhat understood why. She seemed really rough around the edges, but she did seem somewhat nice. I didn't know quite what to think, but in the ned Gilda had certainly impacted my mind. So much I slowed down on my work considerably.
Looking down at deathscythe, who still needed to be touched up a bit, I began to think about why I was even doing this. Luna bribed me to keep an eye on a person. Not even with money but with plastic. I looked around my room, seeing a small Tau army, Gundam 00, red warrior, and a terminator for the blood angels.
In some way I felt guilt over this, as if I should have done this anyway. Then I remembered what happened with Gilda, and part of me understood why I didn't want to go into it.
When my Mom called me for dinner, I had gotten almost zero work done. I guess I can finish it tomorrow, I thought in my head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We all sat down for dinner fairly quickly. My mom had made fried pork with egg noodles, all topped with her own white gravy. To say I was excited would be an understatement. I loved this meal, it in my opinion was a perfect example of comfort food. I quickly began to eat away at my plate, blissfully ignoring the smirk on my dad's face. "So honey, guess what our son has?" My Dad said in a clearly happy tone.
My mom looked up at him curiously, I was simply planning on making a bolt to my room. "What does he have Corvus?" My mom asked with interest. My dad laid his hand on my shoulder and gave me another smirk. "Our son has an actual friend Canis." My dad said with an odd sense of glee.
It took my mom a second or two to react, then I was quickly enveloped into a hug. She was smiling more than my dad, and had been clearly overjoyed by my Dad's announcement. She glee'd as she sat back down in her chair. I tried to cover my face with my shirt, but I knew what my mom would be asking soon enough.
"So...You wanna tell me about your friend?" My mom said, almost giving me a smug look. I hesitated for a moment. I didn't want to lie, but I didn't want to tell them about certain things....It was still Gilda after all. I uncovered some of my face, and answered my mom's question.
"Well, we like the same music, enjoy similar shows, and she's fairly straightforward" I said in a nervous tone. My mom simply nodded, until she heard me say "she". I then saw my mom give me a look of worry. My mom squinted at me with her green eyes, "Orion, you better not be.." My mom said before I cut her off.
"No mom not like that" I said with a blush growing on my face. She still gave me an incredibly stern look. I spent that night practically entertaining the two of them. I pretty much fell down on my bed that night. At least I would sleep well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up around the right time to get ready. Clouds were in the sky, so the sun rarely broke through. The small pieces of yellow light escaped only briefly. I wore a simple t shirt, red with some small designs on it. Then I just wore light blue shorts. It always took me a bit to get awake. I pretty much stumbled into the bathroom to brush my teeth and clean up from sleep.
I straightened out my hair with a comp and wiped my eyes. Walking back into my room, I decided to listen to music before I had to go. I looked over at my shelf seeing a frame arms girl Gourai....don't judge me. So I sat there listening to venom from dance with the dead until my dad got me.
We both got in his car with me wearing my stereotypical massive back bag. He handed me a chicken biscuit for breakfast and I gobbled it down quickly. The actual biscuit was quite dry, but the chicken gave enough moist to help it go down. As for the ride, it was smooth. The sun had finally seemed to break through the clouds and began to shine down to the buildings and people below. There were one or two kids walking toward school, admittedly I always felt sorry for them; especially, in the winter.
I got out of the car and waved to my dad. Hoping he'd have a good day. For a minute I forgot about my whole mission at school. It also dawned on me that me and her didn't exchange phone numbers so I had no idea when she'd be here. As I was walking to the side entrance, preferred it since not many people were there, I felt someone poke my back. "Took you long enough dweeb" Gilda said behind me in her feminine yet somewhat deep voice.
I nearly jumped out of my skin, making an embarrassing girly scream. Gilda covered her mouth to hide her chuckle. I furrowed my brow at her and simply said under my breath "It's not funny.."
Gilda uncovered her smirk and nodded "Yes it is." I turned my head slightly because of a small amount of embarrassment. I turned my head back to continue to defend myself but I noticed Gilda was staring at something. It wasn't her normal angry stare, it looked different.
In fact it was more saddened, which was an emotion I didn't even think she could make. I stood there looking at her worryingly, so I wanted to see what was bothering her. I moved forward, as my view was blocked by a brick wall, and looked over.
Looking over I saw a group of girls. The first one that caught my attention was Sunset Shimmer. She scared the crap out of me for years; although, now she seemed okay. Even then, Gilda didn't seem to be looking at the fired hair women. Gilda's eyes seemed to be looking at another person in the group. The girl had literal rainbow colored hair, she wore athletic clothes, and was kicking around a soccer ball.
I didn't know her name, but I knew she was a part of the soccer team and a friend of Sunset. Suddenly Gilda walked away to the entrance. "Gilda, whats wrong?" I asked worried about her. She turned to me with an obviously pissed off face. She squinted towards me and said "Nothing, lets just go!" Gilda then walked into the school, while I slowly reached out for her. I was so worried about her, I didn't even notice people staring behind us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The day went by without much else, unless you count the awkwardness. My mind had been swirling about Gilda. It still baffeld me that I was worried about her. Gilda could've killed me, yet my heart was almost feeling her pain. Granted she probably wouldn't admit it, but again it rubbed off onto me. I handed her some of the food from my bag.
"Here, you need to eat." I said, with my voice low. She simply nodded. I looked over at her worryingly again. "Gilda. Whatever is bothering you, I'm sorry...You can tell me when you're comfortable." I said as fast as I could. She just looked over at me.
Her eyes had a mixture of confusion, yet a slight pinch of gratitude. She rubbed her hand on my shoulder and mustered a small laugh. "You know...it kinda makes me mad you're so caring." She said in a low voice. I simply looked her in the eyes as she said so. It was here that I really realized something; her eyes were so...beautiful. They were like the finest gold, a piece a miner may hide from his boss.
I looked down, trying to cover a blush. Then I heard Gilda giggle, "Awww are you blushing? Come on, you dweeb" Gilda said in a mocking tone. I turned away from her and tried to sound tough but it just made her laugh more "I'm not blushing....it's just really..hot in here." She laughed like she had seen the best stand up ever....

(Sonata POV)
Me and my sisters were watching Gilda and the guy she was with. They all sat alone at a table, then Adagio began to speak. "Hmm, so she's with a no body? I wonder." I looked over at her, wondering what she meant. I gave her a confused look, then Aria slapped the back of my head.
"So, the most dangerous person in school has a boyfriend...I think I have an idea." Adagio continued. Aria rolled her eyes and responded "Oh great, another great idea. Remember the last time you had one?"
"This one will be different, trust me." Adagio said, her own wicked smile growing. I tried not to pay too much attention. I just kept looking over at the two, wondering why his face was red.
Author's Note
Alright, that took a lot longer than I thought. Sorry but I'm going through some personal stuff, but I'll try to keep going. Anyways as always, tell me what you think and have a nice day.
Part 2-Anger and Laughs
The rest of the day went by fairly easy and quickly. Gilda seemed to have calmed down, she was even a bit talkative. "So, do you have like..a phone?" She asked at the end of Cheerilee's class, where everyone talked for the last five minutes. I nodded, pulling out my phone to tell her my number. I always forgot the number.
After we did exchange numbers, Gilda leaned back in her desk. Then she heard a few girls giggle behind her, quickly she turned around with her glare. Sure enough, the three girls quickly went quiet. I recognized two of them as Lyra and Bon Bon, the other had bright red hair.
Gilda turned to me with an irritated look, suddenly I felt my phone vibrate. I pulled it out to see that I got a text..from Gilda. I gave her a questioning look, she just motioned her hand to my phone. The text read "So have you heard the rumor?" I gave her another look, then she texted me again. "There's a rumor you're my boyfriend, and I'm texting because I think talking about this out loud will just give them more ammo"
I covered my face to hide a small blush, thankfully Gilda was the only one to actually notice. She gave me a smirk before I replied with a text. I wasn't quite sure what to text back. I decided to reply with "Why be worried about a rumor...unless..."
Almost instantly she texted back "Unless what?" She sent this with a small curious smile on her face. I blushed even more and turned my head to the wall next to me. I could tell she leaned slightly towards me in her desk. I looked down at my phone and was extremely tempted to text the response.
I swallowed, and began typing. Before I even could send it, the bell rang. Everyone rushed out the doors and I picked up my stuff to go. Gilda put her hand on my shoulder with a massive smirk on her face, everyone had pretty much left the room. "Now that we don't need a phone, what were you gonna text?" She said in an clearly excited to hear.
"Gilda, hands to yourself." Cheerilee said from her desk. Gilda turned to her and rolled her eyes. Gilda motioning me outside in the halls. I followed her, but not before waving bye to my teacher.
Outside the halls, Gilda motioned me over to a less crowded area. This was an area I had not been around before, and sure enough it seemed I wasn't the only one who didn't show up her often. The floors didn't have their usual pristine shine as the rest of the school. The lights flickered, while making a small buzzing noise. Gilda turned to me with her arms crossed, "Seriously tell me what you were gonna say." She said this in a very commanding yet calm voice.
I leaned my back against a locker and tried to figure out the right words. Surprisingly having a girl who's at least a foot taller then you stare you down, doesn't help you focus. "I was gonna say, why be worried about a rumor..unless...you didn't want it to be...a rumor...."
"Hmmmm? what was that? I couldn't hear ya." Gilda said putting her hand to her ear in a sarcastic motion. I attempted to mutter it under my breath while turning around. When I did turn around, I only got a few steps in until I felt her pull on me. Her arms pulled me to her chest very easily with no effort. I felt the shape of her..."chest assets" on my shoulders. She then got close to my ear and continued. "Don't walk away. You know even though I've had trouble with it, I appreciate honesty"
Her voice echoed in my ear, and I felt her breath down my neck. This caused my face to turn so red a fire extinguisher might think I was family. "....I was basically just asking...if you wanted it to be a rumor...or true.." I said, having to muster up almost all my courage. I didn't hear Gilda say a single word at first, in fact I didn't hear her make noise.
I felt her tighten her grip on me. I looked up to her face, to see a warm smile growing on her face. Then in less then a few seconds, that smile was replaced with a grin. "Awww, are you crushing on me~?" Gilda said in her now signature mocking tone. I blushed again, as she poked me face.
I tried to think of a come back. "I could ask the same to you." I answered, feeling slightly more confident then before. She loosened her grip on me and replied to my statement "Pfft , what makes you think that?" She said, trying to stay her confident self.
I turned around to her and continued my point. "Maybe because you didn't want to talk about it aloud in class, maybe because you wanted to talk in a private spot, and you were hugging me earlier" I said, my own smirk growing on my face. For the first time ever I saw just a hint of red on Gilda's cheeks, which she quickly shook away. "Well, one I already told you I didn't want to give those dweebs more ammo, I brought you here because you wouldn't tell me in public, and it wasn't a hug...you were getting away.." Gilda said, probably hoping her frown would kill off whatever blush was left.
I just stood in front of her with a smug look on my face. "Come on...You wanna date a nerd~" I said in a mocking tone. It suddenly occurred to me that I was essentially teasing the person I had been scared to death of only a day before...The reason that popped in my head was the glare that Gilda was giving me. It was a mixture of anger and her own embarrassment.
Suddenly she pushed my back onto the lockers and looked me dead in the eyes. I gazed into her pure golden eyes as she spoke to me. "Even if I do, how do I know you do?" She said in a serious tone. I didn't know how to respond, so I stood there dazed.
Gilda looked around, with a disappointed look in her eyes. She increased the distance between us, but before she could leave I quickly grabbed onto her her hand. She looked back at me, with both a small blush and an amount of shock on her face. "Look..Gilda you remind me of cinnamon.." I said trying to sound confident; although, my first comment made her look confused. "You're spicy yes..some may think you're a little strong..but you're just sweet enough. Your spice just helps bring out the sweet...and I love that.." I tried to say all of this without breaking eye contact.
Gilda visibly blushed, granted she still looked slightly confused. "So...do you want to...date?" I asked, my last bit of confidence disappearing. I stood there in silence still holding her hand, then she pulled my arm towards her and gave me a hug. "You dweeb...I guess we'll try.." She said in her most happy yet quiet tone yet. I returned the hug, actually enjoying the hug. "Now go...Your dad's probably waiting" Gilda said to me.
I just remembered that my dad probably was outside waiting...and I had no idea how long I was still inside.."Oh right...I'll see you tomorrow then Gilda...have a nice day..." I said waving to her.
"You too Orion..." She said waving back.

(Gilda's POV)
I watched Orion move out of the halls and outside. For a small guy, he sure could move fast. It hit me that not only that he asked me out, but I blushed in front of him..I must've looked like a loser. I couldn't believe a tiny little dweeb made me blush. "Maybe I'm just getting soft" I said to myself as I too walked away from the dark hallway.
I stopped in my steps when I heard small faint footsteps. I turned my head, trying to see if anyone was there. If anyone had just heard the exchange between us I'd lose it. I moved my hands from my jacket's pockets, preparing to see someone. Then I saw someone emerge from the darkest corner of the area. They had large golden hair, a pink jacket, and a pair of pink gloves. When I realized who she was I nearly froze.
It was Adagio Dazzle, one of the girls that mind controlled the school....Someone who could do the same to Orion. I lunched forward at her, pushing her onto the brick wall. "Now...I wouldn't advice that Gilda..." Adagio said pointing behind me. I turned my head to see the other two, Sonata and Aria, both holding their phones at me. "Now, I know you can't get in trouble with the school again right?" She asked me in a condescending tone.
I backed away slowly from her, as she fixed her hair. The other two moved around me, all three putting me in a circle. If I had to fight them, Aria was the biggest threat; but, I could still handle her. "What do you want?..." I asked, trying to hold back beating the life out of them.
"That's simple Gilda, we just want payback. Sunset and her friends took away our greatest power. Our gems. So we just want to pay them back." Adagio said, with a smirk. I huffed while glaring at her "And what do you want me to do?" I asked.
"Well, you were best friends with one of them" Adagio said. This just brought up bad memories of the...event..I continued to glare at her. "So, I assume you know stuff we don't right? Besides, if you don't help us...we have a lot of methods to make you" Adagio continued. I laughed while shaking my head.
"Like what? I may not want to be expelled, but I can get over it." I said with a smirk, while clenching my fist. Adagio then burst out laughing. She wiped away a few tears, then she pointed at Aria. Aria then turned her phone over to not reveal a recording, but a picture...A picture of Orion and me hugging.
"If we can't hurt you, we can always go to someone else." Adagio said pointing at the picture on the phone. I couldn't help but not be both afraid and enraged. I looked at Adagio with fire in my eyes and said "If you hurt him I'll rip you apart!"
The siren just smirked at me. "We have a lot of methods Gilda. Many of which can't be repaired. So if you wanna keep your boyfriend safe..I advice to stop threatening us." She said to me. I looked down at the ground, I couldn't let him get hurt...even if he was a nerd and a dweeb...he just made me happy being around him.
I looked up at Adagio, finally willing to hear her out. "Okay...what do you want me to do?..." I asked, regretting asking the second it left my mouth.

Author's Note
Now that I'm finally getting in a rhythm when it comes to writing. I'll try to work on the next chapter soon, no guarantees though...I feel like I'll jinx it. Anyways, as always thank you for reading. Please leave a review and tell me what you think.
p.s. I'm honestly tempted to get fan art of Orion and Gilda...*God help me*
I moved into my dad's car, relaxing after the interesting day. I sat down in the passenger's seat of the car. My dad turned to me and asked "How was your day?" He asked in a friendly voice. I sighed and stretched my arms, I turned to him to answer. "Well...If I tell you..promise me not to tell mom." I said trying to be stern. He cocked his eyebrow and looked at me.
"Well, I think I have a feeling about what it is. But why wouldn't you want her to know?" He said beginning to drive down the road. I fiddled with me thumbs for a bit, trying to figure out how to word it well. "You know how she is, she'd freak out. I want to tell her at a good time." I said, feeling nervous telling him. My dad nodded, agreeing with my statement. He knew her a lot longer than I had, so he knew that I was right.
He stopped at a red light, seizing the opportunity to ask what it was. "Well what is it you want to tell me?" He asked, moving the sun visor down. I took a deep breath before telling him. "You know that girl I'm friends with?.." I asked trying to keep my heartbeat calm. He nodded, a faint smirk on his face. "We're dating now..." I finished, controlling a small blush that appeared on my cheeks.
Thankfully he didn't have a fit of excitement like before, he simply nodded. He had a genuine smile on his face, he was clearly happy for me. He turned slightly towards me and asked "Do you want any advice?" I thought about it for a moment, considering I never even had a friend. I nodded, hoping he'd had something that might help. "Well, try to make sure trust is there. It's very important that you both know that you both can trust the other. Next, just be honest. Lying almost always comes back to bite you." He said all of this calmly.
I wanted to ask for more, or maybe just to elaborate about more. "What's the best way to do that? Instill those two things I mean." I asked. He simply shrugged and said to me "Be honest yourself, and trust her. Just hope she'll do the same."
I nodded, and looked out the window of the car. I hoped she was doing alright, I guessed I would ask her tomorrow. The more I thought about it, the more I wondered what me and her would do. Where would our first date be, how often should we talk, should I give a special gift?
I turned to my dad with a sigh. "I have a few more questions..." I said, hoping I wouldn't bug him. He simply chuckled, "Go on then. Ask away." He said with a smile.

I stood in front of the school entrance a bit earlier than normal, hoping to sneak up on Gilda for once. Sadly the ominous breath down my neck proved she always seemed to show up early, which I found odd from someone who was supposed to be the misbehaving kid. I turned to see Gilda, she looking at her phone occasionally. "Why do you always show up early?" I asked legitimately curious at this point.
She rolled her eyes, I assumed she wasn't a fan of the answer herself. "My Grandpa tends to kick me out to go to school early. And I can't sneak away cause he always watches to make sure I go here." Gilda explained, clearly annoyed by it. I simply nodded, trying to control my smile of the situation. Then I remembered the bigger question I needed to ask her. "Oh and, is there anything that you really enjoy doing?" I asked, hoping she wouldn't guess my whole gift plan.
Gilda saw right through it, knowing I'd probably try and get her something. She smirked, leaning up against the wall. "Well, don't tell anyone about this....I like baking" She said this while closing her eyes. She shook her head and scoffed. I was just in shock, the most feared person in the school, and their hobby was baking. I tried to think of a quick way to continue the conversation, I was now quite curious by this new found discovery. "What do you like to bake" I asked...quite a creative question.
She opened one of her eyes to look at me. "I have a scone recipe that my grandpa taught me." She said. I bumped her arm trying to act cool..I just ended up hurting my hand. When I tucked that said hand to my side, Gilda just ended up holding back laughter. "As I was gonna ask...is it okay if I try one sometime?.." I said still holding my hurt hand. At this point, Gilda couldn't resist laughing.
She wiped away a few tears before answering my question. "Yeah..they're $1.50" She said this extremely seriously, to the point I wasn't sure if she was serious or joking. Either way, my mouth was left wide open from her answer. I cocked my eyebrow and nodded. "Oh okay...so I don't even get a discount.." I said, doing my best sad puppy impression. She looked back at me with a deadpan face.
"You are getting a discount, it's normally $2.00" Gilda answered back in that weird tone. It became apparent to me she wasn't joking. So I simply did a sad face while looking down. Gilda looked at me, squinting at my face. She then simply looked up and had a deep sigh. "Ugh...fine, you get one for free." She said clearly defeated. I smiled, happy over my victory.
I was gonna say something like "Oh you do love me" but then I wondered if that was too soon. In fact, I didn't know at all how fast me and her were supposed to go. I turned to her, specifically to ask her about that, only to see here scoping out the area. She had her head up high, turning it so she got a wider area of view. When she saw that practically no one was around, she got closer to me. Gilda wrapped her left arm around me, holding me against her chest.
"No ones around...so I can do this" Gilda said under her breath. I returned her embrace, holding her close to me. I wondered why she didn't want others to see us pretty much cuddling. Was she scared of being made fun of? She could always just scare them off, in fact I would feel sorry for anyone who would. Eventually, it didn't matter why she didn't want anyone to see. I just enjoyed it while it lasted. I could hear her breathing, I could smell her surprisingly sweet scent, and I could hear her soft heartbeat.
"Hey Gilda, can I ask you something?" I said in a calm voice. She turned to me, making a hmm noise. "Do you...wanna go on a date this Saturday?..." I said in an extremely awkward and shy voice, a massive blush growing on my face. Gilda just smirked with her eyes closed. "Yeah, but you're paying" She answered very confidently. I nodded, expecting something like that. Almost out of nowhere we started hearing people walking towards us, so Gilda moved her arm away, letting me go.
It was just the three freshmen girls again. The one with the red bow, the purple haired one, and the fancy one. When they saw Gilda, they quickly changed their direction. Gilda then had a sigh, almost one of relief. I raised my eyebrow to her, wondering why she was so worried. "What's wrong?" I asked clearly worried about her. Gilda just shook her head and looked at me. "Just..don't worry about it okay?" She said calmly. I nodded, even though it was a promise I couldn't keep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Me and Gilda walked through the hallways. It was after lunch, and we were heading to history class. I quite loved the class, mostly because in my opinion the teacher always taught the coolest parts. Even though Gilda wouldn't admit it, she also loved that class. I couldn't quite remember what he was teaching today, but that didn't matter to me.
I turned a corner to head to his class, when I bumped into someone. She was a small girl, pink hair, yellow skin, and a green top. I think she was one of Sunset's friends, but I couldn't remember. I moved down to pick up two books I had been carrying, and to apologize. "I-I'm sorry...I didn't mean to..bump into you.." I said, clearly shy and nervous. Just because I was comfortable around Gilda didn't mean I wasn't shy as hell.
The girl looked back at me with a set of blueish green eyes. Some of her hair covered her face, so I couldn't make out all of her features. "I-It's fine...it's my..fault anyways..." She said in an even more nervous voice. I shook my head at her and responded, "No..I wasn't looking...I should've paid attention."
She shook her head, moving some of her hair as she did. Admittedly she had an adorable face, I do hate thinking that..mostly because I'm worried Gilda would kill me if she knew I thought that. "No..I was listening to my friend...I should've looked....oh no.." She said looking up. I tilted my head, wondering what she was scared about. Then I too looked up, seeing something that made me feel uneasy.
Gilda and the rainbow haired girl stared at each other with murderous eyes. Gilda held a clinched fist at her, and the seemed to have been positioning herself to charge. "Gilda." The rainbow haired girl said. Gilda's eyes squinted at her. "Rainbow Dash" Gilda said back, anger clearly in her voice. I tried to think of something to say in order to stop a confrontation.
"So your boyfriend also likes hurting Fluttershy huh?" Rainbow said to Gilda. Fluttershy, who I had almost forgotten about, tried to protest. "N-no Dash...it was an..accident.." Fluttershy whispered quietly. I could barely hear her, so chances Rainbow heard it was slim.
Gilda took one step forward, with a terrifying rage in her eyes. "Excuse me? What did you just say about him?" Gilda asked as if she was about to commit murder. I needed to get involved, even if I did get hurt. I got up quickly and put my hand on Gilda's shoulder. She turned to me for a second, almost as if she was surprised it was me. "Gilda it's just a misunderstanding.."
Gilda didn't even look at me when she said, in the most angry voice I had ever heard anyone have "No, I'm not letting this goody two shoes insult you Orion!" After Gilda said this she moved forward. While nearly having a panic attack, I moved my hand over around her stomach. Because I was too weak to slow her down, I wrapped my legs around hers. It was much to slow her, but it stopped her for a moment. I took this moment to say quickly "Gilda you'll get in trouble again please stop..." I said in a truly scared voice. I wasn't scared for myself for once, but for Gilda. I couldn't let her do this, I wasn't even thinking about the bribe anymore.
If Gilda got in trouble she'd be expelled from the school. Sure I wouldn't get the bribe, but that wasn't important anymore. Gilda made me bot happy and nervous, she got me to start talking, I had began to be calmer around her ironically, I needed Gilda. She stood still, while I "Trapped" her in my hold. I saw her mutter something to Rainbow, but she didn't let any audio come out. Rainbow Dash squinted, and picked Fluttershy up with her hand. Then they both walked away from us, leaving us alone in the hallways. The bell then rang, meaning we were late for class.
I probably wouldn't get in trouble, as it would be the first time ever I had been late. Gilda on the other hand, I wasn't sure if she would get in trouble. "Let's go..." Gilda said in a quiet voice. I didn't want to make her more upset, so I just kept quiet and nodded. I removed my hands from her hips, and we went to class.
