-Crash Landing-
Lying in bed, the sun, peeking through the morning fog, gently coaxing you awake with its blissfully warming rays, life doesn’t get much better than this.
"Morning, Honey"
“BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP”
Huh?....
“WARNING, WARNING”
I shot from my relaxing slumber by a piercing electronic voice and a cockpit tinted red from the blaring emergency instruments.
“WARNING ,WARNING, BRACE FOR IMPACT, WARNING,WARNING”
The sudden realization of the issue hit me liking a freight train. Not only was I seconds from a fiery death, but from impact on a…. planet? A PLANET! Without a second to spare, I yanked up as hard as humanly possible on the yoke. The spacecraft whined under pressure as it was pushed to its limits. That’s all that I remember before everything worked its way suddenly to the absence of color. Black.
Lights out.
“He-……….ddy?”
Wha….wha..t?
“…..lloo?”
My eyes burned from being so hastily introduced to light. Something wasn’t right; I couldn’t quite figure it out in my currently dazed condition. There was something trying to communicate with me. Wait… Something was there. It all came back to me. The monsters, the blood… I grabbed for the nearest thing possible, in this case was a piece of metal debris, and swung violently. I felt nothing connect.
“Hey! What the hell!”
After being shot from my daze, I could accurately analyze the situation and choose the best route to attack the mo-….pony? This can’t be right, are my eyes deceiving me? Nope, there it was, clear as day.
“I’m not gonna hurt ya’, just put down the metal…”
I reluctantly obeyed the little-erm…pony, and layed the piece of the debris down next to my boot.
“Who are you and where in the fuck am I?” I said, somewhere in the void between yelling and speaking.
“Th’names Rainbow Dash, and I’m thinking the same thing about you right now. I was just headin' over the Applejacks barn, when I saw this smokin’ pile a junk here in the middle of this now half destroyed orchard. Did you crash here from um…up there?” The small cyan pony pointed a han- erm, hoof towards the sky.
That’s when I remembered. All the alarms, my futile attempts to save myself from the imminent fiery death of crashing into an unknown planet. I tried to raise myself from the ground, only to be seized by the searing pain that was coming from my left thigh. The adrenaline from what I thought was another necromorph surprise attack had soon worn off; I felt the brunt of all the pain associated with a shattered femur. I collapsed directly into the ground. For the second time. Lights. Out.
I awoke for the second time, from what I thought was the best damned sleep I have ever had. Except this time I didn’t rouse from my bed, but from what seemed to be an armless loveseat. My legs were awkwardly supported by what looked like a bedside table and a few pillows. Another difference was the absence of pain in my thigh. With further inspection, I found that it still hurt, but only when I put pressure on it. Still a shit ton better than what it was before.
I had it again, that eerie feeling that something is there, watching you. I instinctively reached for my cutter, but found that it wasn’t there. Nor was my rig. Instead, I was wearing nothing but my under garments. I inspected the room the currently housed me, and saw what seemed to be a quaking yellow and pink blob near the door.
“He-…Hello?”
“eeepp”
Well that was helpful to the situation. My thought process was cut short by the sound of another sound of hoofsteps.
“Hey shy! What are y-…Look who’s awake…”
“Yeah, and I really want to know where the hell I am.”
“Well in a nutshell, you woke up, attacked me, broke your leg and passed out. Do you know how long it took to fly you here BY MYSELF? Not to even mention getting you out of that tin can you were wearing, that I still don't understand. So now I wanna know what you are and what you’re doing here.”
She had a point, I guess I just never looked at that way, I was the alien.
“look, I will explain it all to you later, but now I need to get mov-“
I was cut off by a blur of yellow and pink slamming into me like a rouge locomotive.
“oh NO YOU DON’T! YOUR GONNA STAY IN BED AND REST UP UNTIL YOU HEAL MR.!”
“GAAAAAAAAHHH!” My screams of agony certainly deflated her and any bit of anger she had left.
“Oh, oh my I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to--*squeal*”
“It’s *pant* fine…How did you manage to heal my leg so fast though?”
“Our friend Twilight stopped in while you were sleeping; she’s an egghead and knows all these spells. Well, at least they
come in hand…” Rainbow said as she trailed off.
“Wait…Did you say ‘spells’? Are there, like, wizards here or something?” I realized that things were getting weirder and weirder by the minute.
“What now? Um… Are you sure you didn’t bump your head when you crashed?” Rainbow said quite puzzled.
“No, you just said I got healed by magic. Can ponies preform magic?”
“Well yeauh, unicorns…”
Did she just say “Unicorns” ? Maybe I’m crazy…Whatever, hopefully things will get explained later.
Dear Princess Celestia
It has come to my attention that we have recovered an unidentified space craft that crashed at Sweet Apple Acres. Inside was an alien, but is more similar to us then we could of ever suspected, socially and anatomically. I implore you to further access the situation, but until then, he is safely recovering from his crash in Fluttershy’s cottage. I managed to help in the recovery process by piecing back the bone in his leg for a quicker recovery with a spell from my book of Medical Magic that I learned recently.

Chapter 2: Just a Distress Call

Just a distress call
If this bed wasn't this comfortable, then I don't know how I would of survived being here for this long.
"Good news" "The Princess is coming to pay a visit to ya'"
"You have a Princess?" This place seriously was a fairytale land.
"Uh, yeah? Who else is gonna rule Equestria?"
Equestria? Really?...Whatever. I was debating responding with the topic of democracy, but I didn't really care for politics in the first place and I really didn't think she would care.
Yeah, apparently you being an alien and all sparks interest in the government... She said, her comment dripping with sarcasm as she left the room.
That gave me ample time to think about what in the hell happened in the past few days...
"Blackburne! We gotta a mission for you. Seems like a distress call from the vessel Ishimura."
Distress missions weren't anything new for me, it was always the same thing, "Oh, I cant get my comms. to work! We're being attacked!.
Alright, I will be there in a second.
Wait a minute, the Ishimaru? The USG Ishimaru? That's the ship Isaac is working on! Finally I get to see him again, he hasn't been returning my calls lately...Weird
My daydreaming was interrupted by a wrapping at the door, followed by muffled communication.
"Cess....Upstair...Yes.." Was all I could make out.
A few moments later I was greeted by the closest thing to a horse I had seen all day. A tall, white, um...Pega-corn? Uni-sus? What ever she was she look really important.
"Hello"
She spoke with a voice as smooth as silk
"You must be..." She said trailing off, as to imply for me to fill in the blank.
"Corporal Trent Blackburne of the 17th Rangers" I gave a mock salute, as if she was my CO.
"Yes, of course. Well I'm going to need you to follow me back to Canterlot. There are many questions that need to be answered."
"Well, I would love to, but my leg is a little broken." I said with a little too much sarcasm then it needed.
"Oh yes, my apologies..."
She approached my injured leg, and proceeded to touch it with a hesitant, but glowing horn. It was like a damn Sci/Fi movie. Ya'no those really stupid ones that you watch just to laugh at? Anyway, with what looked like an ungodly power, my leg glowed with the fire of 1,000 suns. Then nothing.
"Ah, that should do it. Test it out, walk on it."
To my immediate surprise, it didn't hurt, she fixed it! But wait, how the FUCK did she just do that? That was some weird voodoo magic shit, man.
"OK, ya' fixed it. Good job. Now what your royal highness?" I said with again, a little too much sarcasm.
"Hey! Who do you think you are, treating the princess like that! You're just asking for me to re-brake that ugly leg of yours!" Rainbow added, with fuming rage.
Damn, that chick was apparently loyal as fuck.
"No need for a quarrel, my little pony, its quite all right."
That made Dash slouch down in a frustrated lump of cyan and rainbow.
"Hmff...whatever...*grumble grumble*"
"Now, I'm going to need you to come with me. We have important matters to attend to."
Normally I would never trusts anyone I just met, especially if they want to take me to get interrogated by the GOVERNMENT . But if I can survive hordes of monsters, not even your wildest nightmares can create, then I should be fine against a few ponies.
The interrogation room, or at least that's what I called it, was what you would think the inside of a castle to look like. Stone, with stained glass windows that look similar to church windows. The wood table that they sat me at was relatively clean, give or take a few dents. It was then that Rainbow Dash, Twilight and the Princess herself walked in to the room and took a seat across from me.
"Why are they here..." I asked, entirely out of curiosity.
"Well Ms.Dash here claimed it was her that found you in you're previous state, and Ms.Sparkle is my protégé. I feel that she could learn from this experience. The reason that YOU are here is because we need to know why you are here and you're purpose in which."
I will tell you what you want. But be forewarned, what I have experienced in the past few days, is what nightmares are made of. I have been to hell and back, just to survive; to not be eaten or turned into a monster that Hades himself would cringe at. Do you still want to know?
Celestia looked to the 2 ponies in the room with a look of uncertainty. Then back to be with a confident nod. 10 Seconds to contact! Staff Sergeant Anderson yelled above the roar of our spacecrafts engine.
We readied our weapons, we were all equipped with a standard issue SWS MPR, except for Private Thompson, who was armed with a EG Seeker Rifle. We approached the door thinking this was gonna be a normal mission. Ha we're we wrong.
We entered the door and Immediately the emergency quarantine alarm got tripped. I looked through the bullet resistant glass on the other side of the room to see...Isaac? Yeah, that was sure as hell Isaac. But before I could even think to act I heard a ceiling vent bust open, followed by that blood curdling statement, I will never forget it.

At the sudden realization of what happened I unloaded the contents of my magazine into what ever hellish creature had Anderson in its grasp. It was too late. Before I could react it was already on Thompson, giving him the same treatment that Anderson got. I had no choice. My Primal instinct kicked it

I turned to see an open door and sprinted as fast as my legs could take me out of the door. Don't look back, just keep running. And ran I did. I eventually got to a terminal after about a 5 minute sprint. My lungs were incinerating inside my chest and my legs complete jell-o. I sat down on one of the waiting benches and tried to relax a bit and collect my thoughts. Before I could do so, I heard something stirring in the walls. All of a sudden there was that same sound of metal busting from its bolts in the lobby, made from the same type creature. But there was something familiar about it. That's when it hit me.
I was staring face-to-face to a mangled, reanimated, Staff Sergeant Anderson.

Chapter 3: Communication Bay

Chapter 3
There was an argument ravaging my conscious.
Its Anderson! Your squad leader! Your friend
No, not anymore he isn't, and if I just stand here, then I'm gonna be in his damn position
I heard more coming, I had to act fast ...I raised my rifle eye level, and squeezed the trigger.
*Click*.....Fuck
I had completely forgotten about the first encounter, where I emptied a full 25 round magazine into the wall. But that was then, this is now. I unsheathed my trusty blade, a Cold Steel leatherneck SF III (It's already a good blade, what improvement was needed?) and donned a fighting stance, a reverse grip to hold my knife. He was way ahead of me. Before I could even act he was on top of me, trying to sink his new razor sharp appendages into my soft flesh. I resisted an shoved him off of me. I came around with my reverse grip and sunk my knife into his neck with a backhand motion. That didn't stop him from coming back and driving his blade into blade into by scapula. If it wasn't for the heavy back plating on my RIG, I wouldn't be here right now. While I recovered by balance, he came in for another strike. I grabbed his wrist and bicep, with a blood curdling scream, I tore his still-developing arm off. That was just a slight setback for him, he still had another arm and with no apparent pain, he tried the same move with the other arm. I strafed and dodged the deathblow. With his dismembered arm still in hand, I stabbed him under the arm. With the length of the blade on his wrist, it easily tore through it ribcage, destroyed his mutant heart and severed his left lung and trachea. He finally slowed down and dropped like a fly as I retrieved my blade from his neck.
"Well that wasn't *pant*...So hard..."
Who was I kidding? If that happens again, I'm sure to be fucked.
I continued down a corridor for another good 10 minutes into a room with a work bench, when I received radio chatter, but it was patchy.
"Isaac....tram ca............online......crawling....ther-"
I was relieved to hear that Isaac was OK, that brightened my mood, even in a situation like this one. I tried to call for him over the radio
"Isaac, its Blackburne. Where the hell are you and what is going on here?! I already killed one of those things, but if I run into another one I'm fucked! They just don't die!"
Silence.
"Isaac? Isaac! ISAAAC!?"
"...burn-....off limbs!....repea-...cut...limbs!" Isaac managed to stammer through a patchy radio signal.
What? Off limbs? Cut?...oh...OH! CUT OFF THEIR LIMBS! OF COURSE!
My celebration was cut short by a piercing screech. I turned around to see, of course, another one of the monsters.

I raised my newly refreshed pulse rifle, and fired 6 shots into the thigh of it. Sure enough, it fell off.
"Ha! it works!" I remarked out loud, but it wasn't yet time for a celebration.
I fired 6 more shots into into the other thigh, and again, just like that it popped off. I then gave it the same treatment to the arms, and then all I had was a messy, snarling potato.
Well, someones got to carry on the message.
I picked up one of the arms of the now dead monster, and scribed into the wall above a work bench with its blood.

"Heh, they're probably gonna think it was you, but its okay. I forgive you" I said jokingly to a dead body leaning up against the work bench.
I eventually got to a tram car, and took it down to the bridge.
Man, walking through that place was creepy as hell. The blood everywhere, some blind lady petting a dead body, the carcases. After long, long hours of fighting mutant mining crew, even one time picking up some remote control, heavy duty saw and cutting those fuckers heads off after running out of ammo for my rifle, I reached the observation deck. There aren't really many things that you can do to disturb the beauty of outer space. And man was it gorgeous. All the stars, the planets, my thought process was cut short from the sound of something big...Very, very big. As in the words of my ancestors, Nope , I left to the active escape pods. I entered the pod bay, to realize something that would form the biggest decision of my life. There was one pod left, and 1 more person aboard this ship that I held dear. With a stroke of unbelievable bravery and insanity, I ejected the escape pod with no passengers aboard, and walked out of the bay without another word.
I walked down the corridor back to the tram car, fighting off the occasional monster, nothing really out of the ordinary. I was headed to the Comms. station to send out a distress call, and hopefully get rescued. The journey took me back to the tram car, where I dialed in the destination and that's where it took me. Hopefully I wouldn't be too difficult of a task. But now, I had to try to communicate with the hopefully still alive and kickin' it, Isaac Clarke.
"Isaac, this is Blackburne again. I just came from the observation deck, there is something big there. Too big. There is nothing useful there, the door to the bridge is locked and all the pods have been launched."
"Blackburne, It's Isaac, that's actually where I'm heading right now. We need to make contact with another ship via distress signal."
"I just said, the bridge is LOCKED. You can't get in!"
"Trent, I'm an engineer. That's why I'm here, to unlock doors." The last part being obviously sarcastic
"Oh yeah, alright. I'm heading to the Comms. station to do the same."
"Comms. Station is blocked, we can't get a signal out. There is something on the outside of the Ishimura that is restricting all communications in and out. That was gonna be my last resort option, if we couldent access the bridge, to go out and clear the obstruction. But if you do that while I'm working in the bridge, then we can double our chances of getting the fuck out of dodge."
"Solid copy Clarke, I will get right on that."
"Alright, Good luck and God speed"
"Right back atcha'..."
The Comms. station looked like the 7th level of hell itself, and I thought the bridge was bad. Imagine someone blowing up a morgue/blood bank compound, twice.
Alright, I just need to find the maintenance exit so I can get to th-

Chapter 4: Distress
Alright, so this chapter is entirely a story telling one. Dont worry, we will get back to ponyville next one and its gonna take place there from then on out
That old instinctual feeling set in,
Fight or Flight....Yeah, lets go with flight, most definitely fight...
I pivoted and took off down the hallway, sprinting with what looked like Lucifer himself in hot pursuit. I was trying everything in the book, knocking shit over to try to obstruct his path, but it was to no avail.
Shit shit shit shit sh-STASIS!
That was it! My stasis module! I gave myself a mental kick for being such an idiot, but the time for mental punishment was not now. I figured I had a good, 15-20 feet between me and him. I did a complete 180, aimed for the the mass of him and shot a dose of time altering electricity. Just like that, it looked like Bay Watch: Hell on Earth . I aimed for his chest and emptied another magazine directly at his ribcage. Nothing.
What? Holy shit this guy is a fucking tank.
That problem now was that he was starting to speed up, and I had no choice but to shoot him another dose of stasis. I had run out, and had no refills. This was it, if I couldn't kill this thing right here, right now, I would be dead. I shot him everywhere, head, legs, arms, nothing. He was Unstoppable ... My mind started to think mile-a-minute, life flashing before my eye's, my family, my beautiful girl. I would not be able to see them again. This was it.
Out of pure frustration, I shot everything I had in the at the beast. At one point it seemed to of coward, its yellow looking shoulder joints were bloodied with a few holes in them. That was it. Cut off the limbs . There is seriously something wrong with me. I think I'm developing a mental deficiency. While it was recovering, I reloaded. I immediately fired about 16 shots into the injured shoulder, and just like that, it fell off.
heh...heheheh..hahAHAHAHAHAH! Something about kill or be killed brought out the maniacal Auschwitz experimental doctor in me.
Like always, my celebration was cut short by the flaming motivation that burned within these creatures. With only one arm, he started to pull himself across the floor, in a similar motion to some old guys dog in a show my dad used to watch, Family Man ? Anyway, even with its admirable motivation to tear me in 2, I had to do what I had to do to survive. A shame, these were such interesting creatures. ( There's the doctor Kügelschriber again....) I realized that this was my last magazine, and I only had 14 rounds left. I frantically looked around the room for something sufficient. My eye's soon landed on what appeared to be some kinda of red tank.
Maybe I could use that to blow the fucker up with...alright
I ran over to the peculiar red tank, but upon further inspection, I found out that it wasn't just a tank at all. It was a Flamethrower ...How fucking awesome is that. I picked it, up flipped on the pilot flame, and showered the beast with jellied gasoline, like some kind of fucked up matador. It shrieked and squealed, but I didnt stop, and I wasn't going to stop until this fucker was Six Feet Under... Eventually, I ran out of fuel, and basked in the putrid smell, but warm flame of mutant BBQ. That was done, I had to keep moving.
I carried on my trek for about another 25 minutes, but for some reason, there were no monsters, except a little mono-winged looking thing. Kinda looked like when the cheese falls of your slice a pizza, it looks like a skin flap? Anyway, I was starting to get suspicious. But first things first, I had to find another weapon. These monsters would easily take 14 rounds, and ask for seconds. I stumbled upon some kind of mining-armory, so to speak and let me tell ya', I was a kid in a god damn candy shop.
After more walking from the rough directions of maps that said things like "To see the light, you must experience the dark" written in blood, Nothing new to me apparently, I reached the maintenance hatch. It wasn't really a hatch, as much as a small door that required authorization. Fuck . Now I need to find the security checkpoint so that I can unlock the door..
Sigh...Here they come... I said in a disappointed, monotone voice.
I took a readied stance, and awaited what ever was here to ruin my day. BANG . The sound of a vent being sheared from its bolts made me cringe. I turned around to see a bigger, more muscular version of the normal crew. Not a very big deal. I took out my Line Gun, and shot a horizontal beam of concentrated energy at the leg of the beast. Like normal, it fell off just like the rest of its limbs. I started back on my merry old way to the security station when a very peculiar sound caught my attention. Imagine the sound of tearing a slab of meat off of a dead cow, a wet, bubbly, slurpy sound. I thought it was kinda funny, until I found the source of it. I turned my attention back to that mutant I just killed and saw it like nothing happened.
Did...Did it just, REGROW itself?.......Ohh Fuck me...
At the sudden realization at the magnitude of the situation, I figured that if this thing was going to be following me for the rest of my journey, I was gonna need something BIG to kill it. I took out my Disc Ripper, and through a telekinetic saw at its legs, cutting through them like butter, and same with the arms. I had no other choice but to just run away, in the hopes that I would shake him.
There was no more walking, nope, that was the past. Now it was all high alert running, I really didn't feel like having another confrontation with Mr.Hormonal Issues. I had to get to the security station on the level so that I could remotely unlock the door.
"Issac, Its Blackburne again. The maintenance hatch is locked and I can't get through. I heading to the security station right now so that I can unlock it. But what do I do once I get there?"
"Shit, alright....You get there first, then I will tell you what to do. It's not gonna be easy, but your going to need to hack into the circuit board and rewire it so that it will unlock it. But there is no way of me telling how to rewire it. I would need to be there. Just...Just, never mind. Once I set the beacon up here, I'm gonna exit the ship using the escape pod bay. I'm only gonna have enough oxygen for about half the trip, so what I need you to do is go to the cargo bay and make sure the airlock is unlocked for me to get in and for you to get out. I'm gonna get the the communications bay to send out the beacon, when you get out there and clear the obstruction."
"Alright, I will be there good luck..."
The hike back to the tram was what I think , the scariest part of my journey. It was one thing to have slashers come after you, they were just pawns after all, but to have something that you can't kill, constantly stalking you? Now that's some grade a creepy shit. But I finally reached the car, I'm surprised its still actually here. I boarded, and set out for the cargo bay. I just hope that Isaac makes it.When I finally arrived, I found that it was the least damaged out of all of them. But that doesn't mean I liked it any better. It was all long cat walks and open spaces, perfect environment for a surprise attack. I pushed through all of my fears and carried on, I had a mission and there was no room for error. If I died, he died, and if he died, then I would end up dying. That was all the motivation I needed get me through this nightmare.
I walked along the cat walks as fast as I could, I needed to get that door open fast. As I made my way to the cargo hold's airlock, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Out of reflex, I readied my Ripper and braced myself for what ever was going to happen. Something flew above my head.
What the hell? Is that thing...Flying?
And right I was, there it was, a flying necro, and its standing right in front of me. It pounced at me and blistering speeds, but I managed to dodge it in time. It came around for another strike, but I clothes lined it with my weapon. It got thrown off balance in the air and landed on its back. I went to grab its tail, but like a whip it smacked me across arm. It wasn't until then that I noticed its tail had a blade on the end of it. Yeah, it hurt...A lot. I recovered from my attack, but there was a laceration spanning from my bicep, down to my elbow. By this time, there was already blood pouring down my arm. As it came around for another attack, launched a ripper blade directly in its path, cutting its arm off. The flailing mess on the floor in front of me was, like always, still attempting to tear me up. I holstered my ripper, walked over to it, and stomped on his head, sending bits on mutant brain matter all over the walk way and repainting my RIG. That was it for handicap.The next problem I had was to treat this wound immediately, who knows, it might be a virus infecting everyone, but for right now I needed immediate care.
I found a seat not to far away from my skirmish on the cat walk, and sat down. I opened up my RIG's inventory, and took out my Advanced Medical Kit. There we're some perks to being a combat medic. I zipped open the top of the case and took out a roll of gauze and some hydrogen peroxide. I needed to disinfect this wound immediately. I opened up the bottle of hydrogen peroxide, and against my medical judgement poured it directly into the wound. That was the worst pain I felt all day, and I even risked damaging the wound further with such a corrosive liquid. I wrapped it up with gauze, and went on my merry way.
I reached the Airlock of cargo bay, and opened it up. There, standing, waiting for me, was Isaac. I haven't been so happy this entire time. I ran up to him and gave him the manliest hug I could muster. It was so relieving to hear that I now had a partner, who also happened to be my best friend.
"You have no fucking idea how happy I am to see you right now, man...This place is a fucking nightmare" I said with a smile plastered across my face.
"So am I, but we need to keep moving. We don't have much time to sit and chat, there is something really big fo-"
"ISAAC GET DOWN!"
I yanked Isaac towards me in a death grip to get him away from the swinging tormenter. It was to no avail. Before I could do anything, the massive necromorph tore a gash through Isaac's thigh, he was bleeding profusely. He sat up and fired 10 shots from his plasma cutter into the demon's face. It distracted him for a moment but did no actually damage. I grabbed Isaac and pulled him by his RIG about 15 feet back, him shooting the whole time in a futile attempt to kill the menacing leviathan. I dropped him at a safe distance, and pulled out my javelin and fired a bolt, that connected with the demons eye. That hit em' where it hurt as I used the electricity feature to vaporize his eye as he flailed violently. He fell back out the airlock and into space...for now...
I had to give Isaac medical attention. He was bleeding profusely from his left thigh and going into hypovolemic shock, I collapsed his helmet and cut his pant leg open with my knife. My worst fears were correct, he had a severed femoral artery. I worked as fast as possible, tearing open my med kit and taking out various tools to save the life of my best friend. I pulled out a sterile hemostat and attempted to clamp his artery, I couldent find it in a sea of blood. He was falling deeper and deeper into hypovolemic shock, I had to do CPR. I finally clamped the artery and moved on to compressions. He was stage 4 hypovolemic, I needed to get oxygen to his brain. I administered an IV and hung it on the backrest of a chair. I needed to get his feet up to promote blood to drain to his internal organs. There was nothing more I could do, he needed plasma and that was 1,000 of miles away.
"C'MON ISAAC! STAY WITH ME BUDDY, C'MON! I NEED YOU TO LOOK AT ME BUDDY!"
Not to shortly after, he went into cardiac arrest. I pulled out my AED, tore off his RIG, and tried to get his heart going again. That's the funny thing with Hypovolemic shock, the heart stops because there is no blood to pump. I shocked and shocked, worked compressions. Nothing.
"Isaac. Isaac! ISAAC! WAKE THE FUCK UP! YOU NEED TO WAKE UP! YOU CANT LEAVE ME! NOT NOW PLEASE! PLEASE! WAKE UP!" I was openly sobbing at this point, a torrent of tears streaming down my face.
Nothing. He was gone. I lost him.
I punched the wall with all of my fury, breaking a clean hole through it. I wasn't going to sleep until all these motherfuckers died. But first, I had to finish what Issac started.

Chapter 5: Revenge
Authors notes: So this is the final chapter in Trent's story on the Ishimura. Everything after this is gonna be all ponyville. If there is a link, its because its what I was listening to when writing it, and that's what mood is supposed to be set. Also, at one point I'm gonna use a video to try and sear the image in your brain of the situation. You don't have to watch it, but it will really bring your attention to the scenario.
I sat there for another 15 minutes, just staring. Not at anything in particular, just mainly thinking about what went wrong.
I should of acted faster, I should of pulled him out of there in time, its all my fault...
No. No I did all that I could, I can't blame myself, I have gotten through this before, Its not the first person I had die on me, But it is the first friend that has...He was my only friend in this hell hole, and now I was alone, at the mercy of these fucking monsters...He was my only friend since high school, but after that, we went our separate ways. He went to engineering school, me to medical school. I was so fucking happy to hear that I was going to see him, I couldn't sit still. Now I'm here, his cold, lifeless body laying in front of me, armor soaked in my tears.

I took his plasma cutter and tags. I hung the tags around my neck, so if I fell seeking vengeance on his untimely death, I would fall knowing, that my best friend, and brother, would be close to my heart.
I grabbed my ripper and tore the kinesis module off of it. This was personal, and I wanted to get as personal to these fuckers as possible. They were gonna pay for all that they have done to the crew, Isaac's girl, and Isaac himself. Like on damn queue, 3 of the slasher ones jumped down onto the catwalk. I ran up to the first one, ripper in right hand, cutter in left. He attempted to better me, and slashed at me with his blades, just nicking me. I raised up the ripper, which was basically a circular saw now, and brought it down diagonally across his muscular neck, tearing him katana style, neck to naval. That quickly reduced him to a mess of entrails and blood. On to the next 2 fuckers. They charged my simultaneously and I took my good ol' American football skills to the plate, chop blocking one of them, using his momentum to flip him on his stomach, I raised his cutter to the other demons neck, and sent a powerful pulse of plasma through his neck, cutting his head clean off. But their infection went deeper, it was in their armored chest, their heads didn't matter. At least it didn't have any sense of direction anymore. I gave a kneeling buck to his chest and that sent him spiraling back towards the guard rails. Never taking my restraint off of the one I had pinned down, I grabbed my ripper and worked like a schizophrenic surgeon, tearing through that back in a vertical line, severing anything that was inside it, until it was in two. I then turned my attention back to the headless fucking horseman. I ran up to him while he was still recovering and grabbed his two arms with a grip of death, and kicked him as hard as I could in the chest. With a blood curdling "EUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH", tore both of his arms completely off. But I wasn't done with him yet. With my adrenal gland working on over time, I picked up the soon to be dead necro, and brought him down against my knee. Hard . With that audible Snap , I walked him over to the railing and threw his carcass off.
I got 99 more problems, but that necro aint' one. I chuckled to myself. I remember my dad saying that was a song from when he was a kid, I just replaced the lyrics like the clever devil I am.
I stood up straight, dusted my self off, and walked my way towards the central reactor. My plans were that of a man, condemned to a padded cell. I was going to sabotage the coolant modules to overheat the core reactor, causing a melt down and then an explosion, sending all these fuckers into space. I didn't have an escape plan. I didn't need one. I knew exactly who I was gonna see in the near future, but first, I had to take care of what he couldn't...
I walked back to the tram car with pride, I was a fucking berserker, I didn't need to be scared of them, no, they needed to be scared of me. The trip to the central reactor was the longest one yet, on account of the fact that its in the very center of the ship, hence the name.
I reached it in a good amount of time walking, my new buzz saw earning its way to my favorite weapon. I liked the noise it made when it tore through flesh and bone, not to mention that glorious mess it made. Remember the whole Nazi doctor thing? Yeah I was full blown Dr. Schweinshtagler now. I scouted for the coolant modules, the things were big, transparent tanks with blue liquid coursing throughout them.
"Heh, this has to be them" Fuckin' obvious
I raised Isaac's cutter, braced myself for the oncoming horde, and fired a round that completely shattered the glass tank. All of a sudden, the room blared red with emergency floodlights and sirens screeching with emergency messages.
WARNING, COOLANT MODULE MALFUNCTION, CONTACT EMERGENCY ENGINEER, OVERHEATING OF THE REACTOR WILL RESULT IN RADIOACTIVE MELTDOWN"
Here they come I walked about 45 seconds from the overheating reactor, to hear the sounds of a stampede of elephant lions. I turned around and anticipated the inevitable, this was gonna be one hell of a fight.
They charged full force, had to be at lest 50 of em', save the 20 I already killed. The dimly lit room was illuminated by the faint glow of my blue hued RIG lanterns and the blood of my foe coating the walls in a glorious red tint. They surrounded me, but didn't stand a chance against an enraged soldier, who had a brother in battle taken by your forces, WITH A FUCKING CIRCULAR SAW. I grabbed one in a headlock motion, and used it as a human shield, saving me from many puncture wounds. I made minced meat of all of them, slicing in a hack n' slash motion until the very last one dropped. I was quaking with the shear amount of energizing adrenaline coursing through my circulatory system. I had been focusing so much on sending the demon spawn back to hell, that I didn't notice all the cuts and laceration that I acquired through the weak points in my suit.
After the necro-massacre, I walked away looking like the epitome of hell . A Vietnam POW would look at me and say that I've been through some serious shit. The reactor was gonna blow any minute, so even if I was planning on surviving, it would be too late. I wandered wearily through a corridor, I felt light headed, Like I needed to sit down and rest for a minute. I took of my helmet and expelled the contents of my stomach all over the floor. It got to me, Isaac, the blood, the gore, the shear horror of the situation. I broke down for a second time right on the spot, I found myself yet again, sobbing.
"Why...Why god? Why Isaac? Why couldn't it of been me? How the fuck did I end up in this massacre? What did I do to deserve this? HOW AM I STILL ALIVE? WHY AM I STILL ALIVE? WHY?!" My yelling subsided, as I sat there, a broken, battle scared man. No friends, no family...No hope....
It wasn't until then that it hit me, oh and hit me it did. My sudden realization of the situation was almost terrifying. I wasn't the religious type of guy, but there was a reason I was still alive. If I was meant to be another pawn of the crew, dying for no reason, then it would of happened at that first experience, not now after all I have been through. I didn't go through all of that shit for nothing. I realized what I had to do.
Sorry Isaac, I think that I'm gonna have to delay our get together, for just a little bit... I smirked through my mask. If I was gonna get out before this place got blown to kingdom come, then I would need to move, FAST . I sprinted as fast as I could, I needed to get to the tram car before another wave of the monsters came. After only about a 45 second sprint, I reached the tram, not saying I wasn't panting like a sick dog, but I was able to get my sorry ass onto it. My destination, anywhere but there.
I decided to go back to the cargo bay, after all it was the only hope I had, Hopefully if the beacon went through, they would realize that its the only working entrance. From what Isaac had told me, the area where we landed our aircraft had been destroyed, so that option was out. All I could do now was sit and wait to arrive at my destination, but I heard the sound of more of those freaks. And they were close, too close. Nothing could of prepared me from what was about to happen. Out of no where one jumped through the window onto the tram, I raised my cutter to its thigh and severed it from the rest of its body with a strong pulse of plasma.
It took about 25 minutes to get back to the cargo bay, limping because that last experience I had with the train really didn't feel good on my ankle. I just hoped that it would all pay off. From the looks of it, my hypothesis was correct about me being special. The proof was right before my eyes. Standing about 75 feet from me, was a military search and rescue unit. I sprinted as fast as my weathered legs would take my towards them, so relieved to see them. They were carrying Isaac's body back on board the ship so that it could go to the family.
"CONTACT, 9 O'CLO-HOLD FIRE!" One of the soldiers said through his helmet.
"Is that? No...Corporal Blackburne? Is that you?" the same soldier said with a layer of uncertainty
"Your damn right, now we need to get the fuck out of here, the reactor is gonna explode!"
"Our orders were to search the entire ship, sir, and I'm not leaving until we-" He's speech was interrupted by another soldier, who was screaming like he won the fucking lottery
"CONTAAAACT 6 O'CLOCK! OPEEN FIREE!"
The ensuing torrent of gunfire was defining, but that was an appropriate reaction to what was about to tear our body's in half. I froze from the horror that has been bestowed upon me, but that reaction soon changed as I almost busted a god damn gasket. It was that same motherfucker that killed Isaac. He was going to pay the price that results from tearing apart family. With one swift move, he took out 2 of the 8 soldiers that were assaulting it, and he was urging to spill more blood. His main goal was to get revenge on the one who took his eye, yours truly... You may say that we were even, there is nothing you can do to repay the murder of your best friend. He was coming right towards me, and if I didn't do anything about it, then I would be right there, along with Isaac, under this guys belt. I pulled out my Javelin gun, and shot several bolts at the weak points of his shoulders. That had become second nature after the past day I have spent here. after he had about 6 bolts lodged in each shoulder, I flipped the switch, sending hundreds of amps of electricity coursing throughout his hideous being. That did the trick, as 3 of his 6 spider like legs fell off in a bloody mess. The soldiers were regrouping in one corner of the room when he suddenly switched targets, from me to them. With one long,fluent whip of his arm, he took out all of the soldiers.
He turned, to stare daggers directly into my soul, as he changed directions to come right at me. I didn't have much time, I started to sprint in the direction of the ship, but he intercepted me with a long tentacle like arm, closing off the only exit. I took out my Javelin and shot 2 more bolts into his remaining limb joints, if has worked for me this entire time on this god forsaken ship, then it had to work now. I cranked the amperage up to maximum and hit it. A ear shattering roar overcame the room as the beast lost the rest of its arms. Satisfied, I was working my way back to the airlock to get to the ship, when I heard a terrifyingly familiar sound. I pivoted a 180, to confirm that my fears were true. It was regrowing its limbs.
GOD DAMMIT! I shrieked out of pure frustration, for this was going to be the most annoying thing I would have to deal with.
I needed to think of a plan and fast, for in a certain amount of time, he would be on top of me again. I figured the only thing I could do, was what has worked for me before
RUN
I sprinted to the airlock, I needed to get away from this thing as fast as possible and if I waited much longer then it would be a limb refreshed nightmare. I sprinted to the airlock and started banging on the open switch frantically. Damn thing opened so slow, and I could hear it getting up and recovering. It opened, and I flew out the fuckin' door. Literally, I was sucked out into the vacuum of space, floating freely. To my disadvantage, so was everything else in the room, including the tormentor. I pushed my thrusters to their limit trying to get back to the space craft before I was torn apart in vengeance. I reached the catwalk after the most stressful 15 seconds of my life, and sprinted as fast as my zero gravity legs could carry me to the ship, with the tormentor about 40 feet behind me. I pushed the open button, as the door slowly but surely let down and if it wasn't for the handicap that the monster had in space, walking, then I would of been dead by now. I jumped into the ship, ran to the cockpit and pushed the throttle up to the very highest setting. The engine roared to life as it worked on overdrive to meet the commands of the throttle lever.
C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'monnn! was all I could think as the ship slowly lifted into the void of space.
I was shot back to the reality of the situation, when the ship was smashed into space by the beast.
WARNING, IMPACT DETECTED, THRUSTER, WARNING!
Perfect. I put the thrusters on over drive as I could hear the cries of a monster being burned alive by the thrusters of the ship. Then the main plan came to fruition, and the Ishimura exploded, sending all of the proof of it ever happeneding into the deep crevasse of space, aswell as the creature of my nightmares attached to my ship. As he did so, all of the navigation instruments went black, he had torn off the thrusters as well and they were hemorrhaging fuel into outer space. Well now that I don't have any sense of direction, or propulsion, I. Am. Fucked.
I had ample time to think about all of what just happened. Isaac. Fuck. He would want me to move on, to be happy, but he was my only thing keeping me from insanity, my last life line. Now he was gone, and I was floating into the void of space. Alone, for the rest of my time in life.
Well now that I'm here, finally safe from the demonic power of the necromorph invasion, I might as well record another audio log, it's gonna be my last.
"My name is Corporal Trent Blackburne with the 17th rangers, August 7th 2507. I am floating into space on a severed vessel from the USG Ishimura, I was called to Ishimura for a distress call, we couldn't communicate with the vessel, but there was a reason for the emergency beacon. Me and a 3 man squad were sent to investigate the situation. The crew were mutated monsters of some sort, they were EXTREMELY HOSTILE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS . I survived by severing the limbs of the creatures with various mining tools that were scattered around the planet cracking mining vessel. I found that plasma cutters and rock saws worked the best. I sabotaged the coolant modules to overheat the the central power reactor so that it would completely destroy the vessel and anything within it. There were heavy soldier casualties, including the search and rescue team and the master engineer sent to deal with the communications failure, Isaac Clarke. All of the said men were killed by the same monster, a large spider like creature formed from the bodies of dead crew. If anyone gets this recording, then please stay away from planet Aegis VII at ALL COSTS. I believe there are some surviving necromorphs there. Again, this was Corporal Trent Blackburne from the 17th Ranger Division, and I have seen hell itself."
I sent one copy of the log into space, and the other one I kept with me. This was gonna be a long ship ride.
There, you wanted to hear my whole story, and there it is, from the beginning to where we are now.
The morose look on their nothing but blank faces told me that they understood my adversity. I had to rest my eyes for a moment, I needed to think of my next course of action on this world that had seemingly no use for me. I had my thought process interrupted by a warm presence caressing both of my arms. I opened my eyes to see 2 furry masses holding my arms in a death grip, one blue, one purple. I tried to shake them off but they wouldn't budge. I finally broke my hard outer shell and gave into the loving embrace, they reduced me down to a mere puddle. That was the first compassionate hug I have had in a long time.
They broke the embrace about 20 seconds later, looking at me with sorrowful eyes. It was Twilight who broke the silence.
"I-...I'm...I'm sorry...about everything...I would be honored in the presence of a stallion, who possessed half of the bravery and courage you carry..." She spoke in a calm tone, tears in her eyes.
"Yeah, me too..." Rainbow said sheepishly as she rubbed the back of her head, never making real eye contact. I could tell she wasn't one for emotional situations.
I was speechless, there were no word to describe the feelings that I was experiencing at that moment. I have never had such compassion showed to me. My face expressed an even mixture of sorry and joy, I was so grateful of their understanding of my remorse, yet it was the first time I noticed that I have never really felt loved before, maybe that's why I loved Isaac so much, and that's why it hurt so bad to see him leave.
"Now lets go, we need to introduce you to the rest of our friends..."
With that, we left the castle, back on the road to ponyville.

Chapter 6: Settling In
Author's notes: I have been trying to write this damn chapter for so long. Every Single fuckin' time I come on here, I begin to write it, then something happens where I get distracted, be it Battlefield 3 with friends, the steam summer sale (L.A. Noire, $5 totally worth it) or the all so famous to me, get side tracked watching Pawn Stars...(It's actually happened to me like 3 times.) So I'm gonna crack down write now and write you guys a hopefully killer chapter so that I don't loose any erm....Faithful Followers ....Bad pony pun, anyone with me? amirite? ....
After getting dropped off by the uh....Royal Transit , we walked about 15 more minutes to get to our destination. This is where I actually noticed that they stood about up to my hip, and walked slightly slower. As a result, they had to trot to keep up with my long, human strides. Why they didn't just drop us of at her house is still beyond me, but I gotta say so is everything else here. It reminds me of that time when me and my college buddy blazed and then watched The Hooberbloob Highway , funny how insightful and inspirational things can be when your high. Afterwards for some reason we tried to make a Rube Goldberg type machine that would cook nachos. We ended up making a house fire.
We reached our destination, which was behind a big decorated tree, or so I thought.
"Uh, Twilight, is it? Where exactly is this place?"
"Right there!" She said, pointing a hoof into the direction of the tree.
"Oh, behind the tree?"
"It is the tree...Did you hit your head landing here or something?"
"THAT'S WHAT I SAID!" An exited Rainbow yelled from a few yards behind us.
"You live in the tree?" I asked, more curious than puzzled
"Uh, yeah? Where do you......"
"Humans"
"Ah, yes. Where do you Humans live?"
"In houses, the only thing I knew that lived in a tree was Winnie the Pooh..." I spoke, trailing off as I wandered into thought of this peculiar living environment.
"Winnie the WHAT?! " They said in unison, looking quite offended at my word choice.
"I'll explain later, but for now, let's go inside, it's cold out here..." After all, all I had was a scrub-like clothing on that you wear underneath your suit.
That reminded me, my suit and gear were still at the yellow coated pony's house. I needed to get them, after living under constant fear, you grow a psychological attachment to your weapons. But I felt that could wait until tomorrow, after all, I haven't had a full night of rest in over 3 days.
We proceeded into Twilight's....Tree , and I was a man on a mission and that mission was to find anything that was possible to pass out on...
"So I take it that I'm sleeping here?"
"Yes, those were the orders of the princess...At least until you can find you own living quarters, that is."
Alright, what ever. Free food and a place to crash, just like prison...
"So where am I supposed to crash?" I asked a little hastily
"If you mean sleep, then you can just sleep on the couch over there, why don't you get a nice fire going, huh?"
"What ever you say, magical purple unicorn..."
"You say that as if that's unusual."
I decided it would be best not to respond on that one.
The fire blazing, the couch looking as inviting as ever, and a dragon staring at me atop the staircase. This was the most comfortable I have been al-wait WHAT?!
"Erm...Twilight..."
"Yes, uh...Tent?"
"Trent, and there seems to be a scaly monster perched atop your staircase..."'
"Sigh , Spike! Stop scaring our alien friends and come down here!"
He didn't move, he just stood there, almost as if he were a statue.
"It's okay spike, he won't hurt you. Just come downstairs and meet him, he's gonna be with us for a while."
"If I ever see you as much as touch , Rarity, then I will slay you, ugly alien..."He spat with formidable rage, and with that, he turned and ran out of sight, back into the bedroom.
"Well that was officially the strangest thing that I have seen all day, and that's saying a lot..."
"Sorry, Spike is my assistant who also happens to be a dragon, who is ALSO, madly in love with my friend Rarity..." She said, recovering the lost breath from that mini speech.
"Who is this, Rarity character?"
"You will meet her tomorrow, along with Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and hopefully have a proper introduction with Fluttershy..."
Ah, Fluttershy, that was her name...
"So get some sleep, we gotta a long day ahead of us. And Rainbow, you can stay the night if you're too tired to fly back to your place."
"Nah, I'm fine. But thanks for the offer, see you guys tomorrow." With a quick wave, she flew of into the cold night.
And with that, Twilight departed into her bed chambers, as I was quickly coaxed into slumber from the flames, dancing upon a burning log.
I was awoken by the morning sun, creeping through the window and the embers slowly consuming the wood from the past night. The sound of hoof steps coming down the stairs made me direct my attention to the stair case.
"C'mon, get up, we gotta long day ahead of us."
"Mornin' to you too..."
"We gotta go to Sugar Cube Corner, that's where they promised to meet us at, so let's go, we're gonna be late."
And with that, I stood up, stretched my tired legs, put on my boots and made my way out the door, in tow of Twilight.
We finally made it to this Sugar Cube Corner , and let me tell ya', it look's like a damn Barbie dream house, everything pink and all that jazz. The inside smelled like fresh pastries, it was that smell the coaxed you downstairs when ever your mom baked. It was amazing. My memorization was interrupted by a pink blob, that seemed to be traveling at speeds that rivaled an F-22.
"AAHHHOHMYGOSHYOURHEREOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHAAHHITHREWAPARTYFORYOUBECAUSEIHEARDYOUWERENEWHEREANDWHENEVERTHEREISSOMEONENEWIALWAYSTHROWAPARTYANDNOWYOURHEREANDIGETTOMEETYOU!!!!!!!!!!"
I would rather of had an entire box magazine from an M249 fired directly next to my ear, then to go through that.
"If you don't shut the fuck up, right now, I swear I will tear out your spine and impale you with it..."
Not even that seemed to of deflated her excitement.
"Easy there, space man..." A familiar Rainbow maned Pegasus flew through the door way, followed by a most regal, fancy looking mare I had seen yet, with a striking white coat matched to a flowing purple mane.
"You must me the extra terrestrial being that all the talk is about, hmm?"
"Uh, yeah, and you must be..."
"Rarity, charmed."
"Ah, so your the one that little dragon almost killed me over last night?" I said with a sly grin.
"*GASP* MY WITTULSPIKEYWIKEY WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT!"
I really didn't expect her to be the type to raise her voice.
I backed off a bit "Well the only thing that he has ever said to me, is that if I touch you, I die..."
"Awww, so protective, how cute! My wittuwspikeywikey..." She trailed off as she turned to meet the other ponies.
"Alright, so I met the titanic passenger, the dyke, the meth tweaker and the nerd. So all that's left is the redne-GAAAAAHH!"
I yelled, as I fell on the table in front of me, as a result of what felt like two fists pounding me in the back with unrelenting force. I instinctively jumped to my feet, with a broken bottle in my hand, ready to take on my assailant. My eyes met a huge red mass galloping towards me at full speed. It hit me at full force, the muscular red attacker being on top of me. I quickly dogged any hooves and pulled a reversal, with me on top and nothing to stop be from pounding into the face on a-PONY?! I was being attacked by another pony? My amazement of staring into the bloodied face of another pony, was quickly interrupted my another set of hooves connecting with my head and shoulder. I was thrown from the stallion onto the ground by orange-brown looking pony, with a cowboy hat. I kinda giggled to myself at the ridiculousness of the situation, but then realized that I was being charged by both of them, with new found rage to tear me apart. I jumped to my feet as the cowgirl pony was tackled by Rainbow Dash, and the red one by a yellow and a caramel colored one.
"HE DESTROYED HALF MAH' ORCHARD! HE'S GON' PAY YA' HEAR! YA' GOOD FOR NOTHIN' VARMINT! I'M GONNA KILL YA'!" An enraged pony was screaming at the still, very confused me.
"EEYUP! YEW SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YERSELF!"
"CALM DOWN AJ! IT WASN'T HIS FAULT!" Rainbow yelled in my defense
"HE CRASHED HIS SPACE MACHINE INTO OUR ORCHARD TO GET RID UH THE COMPETITION!"
"EEYUP!"
"So you got me all figured out do ya'? Just couldn't keep your mouth shut and stop digging around, huh?"
"YOU'RE NOT HELPING YOU OWN SITUATION, TRENT!" Yelled a frustrated Rainbow.
"Haha I know, I just couldn't resist."
"Ok, AJ, lemme explain this all to you, just settle down and we will get this sorted out."

"I'm an elite military operative, sent with a squad of other rangers. I'm my squads combat medic, so if they end up getting injured during battle, I'm there to patch em' up."
"So you're sayin' that you're military? So that means you're strong, which means you can do some heavy plowin'."

"So Twi, Where are we going now?" I was testing the waters to see if we were ready for nicknames.
"We're heading to Rarity's Boutique, we need to see if she can fit you some proper cloths."
It would be nice to get something other than my ratty, under garments.
"Alright, sounds good, I need new cloths anyway..."
We arrived not to shortly after we left the extremely awkward confrontation with the Apple's.
"Ok Trent, you just wait out here. I'm going to go talk with Rarity about our matters. I will be back out in a bit, and try not to get into too much trouble? Please?"
"No promises..."
Twilight proceeded to enter the boutique, rolling her eyes while doing so.
About 1 minute passed before I was approached by 3 little...fillies? I mean, that's what a little mare is called on earth, so maybe same thing goes here? What ever. One was a little orange pegasus with a purple mane, not too different from Rainbow Dash's, a white unicorn with a pink and purple mane, and a yellow one, that looked like applejack, with a red mane and a big bow tied into it. They didn't say anything, they just stood and stared.
"Caaaaan I help you?" I asked
"What are you?!" The little white unicorn asked, her voice cracking.
"A big scary alien, now run along little ones..."
"Hey! we're not afraid of anything!" Spat the little orange and purple pegasus.
"Yeah! Aint' nothin' too big to handle for the..." They paused
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!"
God damn, just like the pink one from the cake shop, except stereo.
"...The what now?" I asked, quite puzzled on their purpose.
"We will try anything to get our cutie marks, and we're not afraid to try anything!" Spoke the orange one again.
"What in the hell are Cutie Marks? "
"Wha' they're what symbolize our special talents, and if ya' didn't notice, we have blank flanks!" Spoke up the little yellow one again.
So that's what those markings meant...huh
"Well I can help you get your cutie marks, ya'no..."

Chapter 7: Falling Sky
Author's Notes: Ok Ok, I know, AJ and Big Mac's introduction to the story was a tad...controversial , but that's my sense of humor, it can be very crude at times. I personally think that sexual humor, pranks and humiliation are fucking hilarious, so I will be sure to put some of that in here, if you don't like it, sorry.
I was sitting back watching the little fillies, crusade , doubled over in hysterics. Especially how the little yellow filly took out her bow, and tied it around her face like a bandit.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADER'S GANGSTERS!" They screamed in unison.
I heard a scream, and turned to find that there was a orange pony with carrots on her flank, staring in horror as her meal had been dumped on her as a result of the pegasus filly, bucking her table over, followed by a ear piercing,
"FUCK THE PO-LICE!"
I was crying a river from laughing so hard, it was easily the funniest and best idea I had ever had in my life.
"WEST SIDE!"
The white unicorn screamed, as she picked up a rock and threw it at a brick wall.
I have never laughed so hard in my life, this went on for about another 5 minutes, before my stomach dropped. While I was in my laughing fit, I didn't notice that they were approaching a familiar, cyan coated mare.
SHIIIIIT! BAIL! BAIL!
"Blue is Crip's color, ah hope ah aint' seein' a Crip on Blood turf!"
"What now?" A puzzled Dash asked under a mask of confusion
"I will cut you, Essay!" The unicorn said, levitating a branch and poking her in the chest with it, causing Dash to move backwards into a corner.
"What's you're deal?!" She raised her voice as to signify that she was authority in the situation.
"This is a mugging! Open the saddle bag!" The pegasus filly spoke with clear anger.
"What? No! Scoots? Sweets? Applebloom? What the hell has gotten into you guys?!"
"Sorry Rainbow Dash, we're trying to get our cutie marks by being gansters. NOW OPEN THE SADDLE BAG, OR AM I GOING TO HAVE TO 041 A MOTHERBUCKER?!" Scootaloo spoke again.
"ALRIGHT! STOP! Where the HELL did you kids get this Idea?!" Rainbow yelled.
"Some alien stallion gave us the idea..." They stopped the gangster act, noticing the disapproval in Dash's voice.
"Trent...." She said with a sigh "Alright, just stop doing that you guys, go back to what ever you were doing before..." and with that, she took to the skies.
I was kind of disappointed to see that she had put an end to my shenanigans, but I could tell it was going too far. With that, Twilight walked out and signaled for me to come inside, I obliged. As I walked in, I noticed that it was the same unicorn from before that was in the room with me.
"Hey! That didn't help us get our cutie marks at all!" She said with her trademark voice crack
"What on earth are you two talking about?" A confused Rarity asked.
"I will explain later, but for now, what did I need to come here for again?"
"Twilight and I think that you're current clothing is a bit...Worn out ... So I'm going to fit and create new attire for you." Said Rarity, which was a little condescending.
"Uh, okay, thanks I guess, but how am I going to pay for it, I have no money?"
"It's quite alright, I'm always happy to help out a friend."
"Well, alright, but let me warn you, if you're going to do this for me, then I need something specific. I need something durable to wear underneath my suit. It needs to be tough and maneuverable. Got that?"
"Mhmm, I can do that."
"Alright good, what now Twilight?"
"I need to discuss a few things with Rarity, so just go and explore the town, meet people, by the you get back we will probably be done talking."
"Well, alright then..."
I started to wander around, here and there, the townsponies having mixed emotions about my presence. I eventually ended up in a field, where something rather peculiar caught my eye. It looked as if it were a little piece of flesh, but whatever it was, it was not natural to the area. I walked over to it, and picked it up. I inspected it a bit, but then, it hit me. I dropped it and immediately stomped on it, with all due horror and haste. It was a necromorph. It was a swarm necro, the kind that attacks you in hordes and overruns you, although not very dangerous alone, they are very annoying in packs.
No...no,nononononononono...not here, not now, they can't come here THEY JUST CAN'T FUCKING COME HERE! NO!" ...the infection seems to be in the form of a green sludge... . There were more of the swarm coming out from around the thing. I ran up and stomped on them with my military boots, making a sickly squishing sound, a sound that I was familiar with. But what I saw was much, much worse. I saw about 4 more smoking holes in the ground, that mean there had to more. I turned, and sprinted, sprinted as fast as I could, I needed to tell Twilight that we were on the precipice of disaster. This was the beginning of the 2nd reign of the necormorphs.
I reached Twilight about 5 minutes later, completely out of breath. I busted open the door of the boutique, to the sunrise of Twilight and Rarity.
"Trent?! Whats the matter!?"
"TWILIGHT, YOU NEED TO TELL THE PRINCESS TO GET HER ROYAL ASS DOWN HERE, RIGHT NOW. SOMETHING VERY BAD IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN, AND I MEAN BAD."
"Why?! Trent, Whats going on?!"
"The necromorphs, they are here..."
The look of sudden realization, and then to horror showed me that she understood the severity of the situation.
"H-How do you know?!"
I killed a few of the minor infection, but I saw more, they will reach the town in no time at all. There is nothing we can do except prepare."
"What in the Celestia is going on?! Twilight?!" Rarity showed a mixture of fear and confusion
"All will be explained later, but for now, I need you to show me to Fluttershy's house, Rarity, I need to get my gear."
"But what's happening?"
"MOVE RARITY!"
With that, she jumped into action, and we were off the Fluttershy's cottage.
"Now, be careful what you say Trent, Fluttershy is quite sensitive."
"Whatever, just get me inside."
"A please wouldn't hurt.."
"You know what would though? Getting impaled by a necromorph, and that's just what's going to happen if you don't MOVE YOUR ASS!"
She got the message, and knocked on the door.
"Fluttershy, darling, can we come in for a moment?"
"Oh, um ok...."
She cowered when she saw me, but I pushed the door open and ran up the stairs.
Where's my shit... I thought as I tore the room apart
"Trent, darling! Please, be more gentle, for Fluttershy's sake..."
"Sorry, but I really need to know where my equipment is. Remember you took it away from me when Rainbow Dash brought me here?"
She just merely pointed into the direction of a closet, where there, was my combat armor and my cutter. I'm still kicking myself for leaving behind all of my things.
"Ok, Thank you for everything you have done Fluttershy, and I'm really sorry for barging in on you."
She simply nodded, I took it as accepted.
"Rarity, Thanks for taking me here, but I really need you to go home and finish my suit. We need to get prepared.
We ran into Twilight on the way back, we were all out of breath.
"I *pant* sent the letter *pant* she should be here soon."
"OK, Rarity, scratch the other idea, I need you to alert the rest of your friends of the impending disaster. Tell them to meet us at the library. We need to discuss our further actions.
"I understand."
And with that, she started to Gallop into the direction of whoever had the closest house. Me and Twilight had to make it back to the library, not only where we expecting guests, but we were expecting royalty.
"Okay, so first things first, who the fuck are you?" I asked, pointing a finger at the annoying pink one.
"Uh, Pinkie Pie! You silly filly!" She said, jokingly.
"Riiiight, so something has happened, and I want you guys to stay here because I want you to be safe. I will explain everything later, but for now just stay here and make yourselves comfortable."
I walked over to Twilight as to talk to her in private.
"What's the ETA on the princess?"
"I don't know, her arrival is generally in th-"
Just like that, she walked through the door, and all of the ponies in the room bowed.
"Now, my little ponies, what was so important that my presence is needed at this hour?"
"I need to talk to you in private, something very bad is about to happen..." I said under my breath, as to not alert the room of my concern.
"Very well then, Twilight, may we use your bedchambers for a chat?"
"Of course princess, anything for you."
Brown Noser
"Very well, let's see what couldn't wait until the morning."
"They're here Celestia, I saw them with my own eye's."
"I mean no disrespect, but I can't say that I completely believe you. You have been in a very stressful situation, and I do believe you are seeing the worst in every situation. I'm sure that everything is going to be okay." She said with a calming smile.
"No, you don't understand, I saw them, I even killed a few."
"I believe you are suffering from PTSD, I assure you, there is nothing to fear in my kingdom."
You have to be, FUCKING, KIDDING ME.
"Now, get some rest, and I will explain to the ponies why you cal-"
My anger was at it's boiling point, I punched the wall of the library, not even flinching at the pain and the blood pouring from my now lacerated knuckles.
"NO! YOU LISTEN TO ME! YOU DON'T FUCKING UNDERSTAND! THEY A-"
I coulden't finish my thought, I had realized what I needed to do. I raised my plasma cutter to Celestia's head, and fired a pulse of energy. It tore her head clean off, but it was a shell, a mere casing to what nightmarish creature lay inside. It shot a bladed tentacle out towards my chest, as I grabbed it and gave all of my strength to survive. It was a losing battle, the room went red with the blood of my fellow human kind. There were necromorphs everywhere, just starting, taunting me. I could her a faint voice.
"Mr.Blackburne? Trent!"
I awoke on the floor, clutching my own knife, trying to keep it from digging itself into my chest from an unknown assailant. I got up confused, but it wasn't long before I passed out. Back onto the floor.
"Mr. Blackburne?"
"Who...wha?..."
I was standing in some kind of padded room, with another pony. He was wearing a white lab coat, with a clipboard and quill being levitated by a magical aurora.
"Mr.Blackburne, I'm doctor Delirus."
I went to lift myself from the ground I was laying on, but to find that my arms were binded. I was in a straight jacket.
"Wha...What the...What the FUCK!? LET ME OUTTA THIS THING!" I demanded, but to no avail. The doctor looked out the doorway and worded something. Soon two big ponies came into view, wearing a security uniform.
"Mr.Blackburne, you have been deemed mentaly unstable by the princess herself. Something about an episode where you lashed out, almost killing youself in the act?"
"I have no fucking idea what you're talking about! GET THE PRINCESS RIGHT FUCKING NOW!"
"Hmm...I'm afriad I cant do that sir."
With that, he walked away.
I sat there for another hour, just thinking about what the fuck happened.
Why am I here? I'm not crazy! The princess thinks I'm crazy because...
It had slipped my mind, the necormorphs. They are still here, and I can't do anything to stop the impending doom.
"LET ME OUTTA HERE! THE MONSTERS ARE COMING! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE! DON'T DO THIS!"
A few security guards and a nurse came to my cell, opened the door and walked in. The 2 security guards proceeded to hold me down with their hooves and magic, but I still thrashed violently. The nurse pony then came over with a syringe and attempted to find a vein in my arm. He was just about to stick me, when the lights went out.
"What the hell?! Get some maintenance down here STAT! Lights out in the looney bin isn't a good thing!"
He turned back to me, the guards had not even let up their grip slightly. There was a crash, and the emergency lock down tripped. The erie silence was present for a few moments, as the nurse and guards exchanged weird looks. Then came another crash, and that all to familiar screech. The nurse walked out of the doorway to investigate. The second her turned out, he was enveloped in a giant skin flap with a fleshy needle. It almost looked...Equine...
Oh no...no no no no no NO NO NO! THE MONSTERS! LET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE! WE'RE GONNA DIE!
Soon 2 more pony necro's walked in, and the guards averted their attention. They ran to assault the attackers, but they got made minced meat of, impaled, heads torn off. It was terrifying. There were 5 things left in the room, 2 corpses a human and 2 necromorphs ...

Chapter 8: Downfall
Authors notes: Alright, as you can hopefully see, we're rising in the story. So to all of you who have been sticking with me through this, thanks, and thanks to all of you I made feature today and this story is currently on frontpage. GREAT SUCCESS! OH, and if it happens again, (which I'm really not expecting) will anypony be so gracious as to screencap it for me?
For the first time in my life, I was frozen. I was so terrified that I couldn't move, not that I could in the first place, I was in a straight jacket after all...There were 2, mangled pony necros in the room with me, advancing fast. My mind was a complete blur, I couldn't think of what to do, let alone if I could do anything at all. I saw from the doorway the nurse pony from before get up, but completely reanimated. It was going to be a matter of moments before I was seized by the monsters, so I did the only thing that I could think of. I hunched over, and sprinted as fast as I could in attempt to truck through them just like the defense men in from my high school football days. I felt a connection, followed by a warm sensation, and as I opened my eyes in delight to see that I had succeed, I was immediately overwhelmed by a agonizing sensation. I looked on the ground behind me to see that there was blood pouring from my back. It turns out then when I was going Brandon Jacobs on their asses, they managed to get in a shot too, except theirs did a whole lot more damage as I felt a large laceration spanning atleast 7 inches. It hurt like a mother. I had to get the fuck out of these restraints, because the necros were getting up fast as they started their advance once again. I turned, trying my best to mask the intense sensation of my screaming wound, and started a futile, strained, limp in any direction but there.
After about a 5 minutes stroll, I reached what looked like an operation's area. This is the shit that really got me, experimental operations and surgeries on their fellow man, just because they weren't fit to live in public. I don't know how they do it with ponies, but still, it makes me fucking sick. But I realized that I had to venture into it, for the sake of my own life and apparent claustrophobia. I entered what seemed to be the office of pathologist, which was perfect. This place probably had a bone saw, or even maybe a cautery pen would work, all I had to do was separate the binds so that my arms could be free. I entered the room, cautious, but cool. I approached a operation table, where there still lie a lifeless pony corpse, and I didn't like that being there one bit. Right above the table, hang a bone saw. Nice. This wasn't going to be easy though, I would have to angle it to not cut myself, but just the jackets restraints. I approached the table with due hesitation, and realized that the only way I was gonna be able to obtain the saw, was by pulling it down with my mouth. I nervously stepped on top of the table, body still there, and grabbed the saw with my mouth. I started to get down, when of course, that gently sleeping body had to jump to life and thrust a blade upwards at me. I dogged it by moving to the right and jumping off of the table, but at the cost of losing my only weapon available, my saw. I backed up against a wall staring death directly in the eyes. I couldn't try the football maneuver again, I was far too weak and my wound on my back basically crippled me. All I could do was close my eyes, and think of home. I opened them again about a split second before impact of the blade, thinking about how this was how it was gonna end, my impending doom. It connected. I didn't feel anything at first, but I thought that it was normal on account that I am so exhausted and have so much adrenaline coursing throughout my circulatory system. I opened my eyes, to see that the awkwardly weighted pony monster, had put so much force into its swing, that it threw itself of balance, but only nicking me. I pushed myself to my fe-...HOLY FUCK, HE CUT MY RESTRAINT . I jumped to my feet, ready for combat. I ran over and grabbed the saw from before, flipped the switch and went to work. Due to the wired power source of the saw, I waited for him to come to me. He eventually got up, dusted himself off and charged towards me, but I was ready this time. Nothin' fancy this time, I just shoved the power saw through his chest, directly into its mutant heart. I soon found out that it was not enough, so I grabbed a foreleg with my hand, ad tore through it with the saw like butter. Like always, he still had another one, but since the infection wasn't meant for an equine host, it tried to mimic the anatomy of a human. They stood upright, wobbly ad very off balance. A simply kicked the monster in the chest, as it quickly hit the deck. I ran over to it, pinning down its remaining arm, and drove the saw into its face cutting it clean in two. With the beast finally coaxing its way to eternal slumber, I cut through the arm as to obtain the mutant blade. I couldn't take the bone saw with me, this would just have to do.
I eventually found my way out of the asylum, it was surprisingly not very difficult. It was perched on top of a hill, segregated from the rest of the big city. I could see a small town in the distance and I recognized it almost immediately, I remember when I first came from this place, when I poured the contents of my memory onto Celestia's lap, we flew directly to that town. It was Ponyville, and I knew I had to get there, to make sure that my fri-......Did I just refer to them as...my friends? ...Oh my god...Well I guess they were my only friends in this place ever since I crashed...They're also the only people that knew who I was, and I needed to make sure that they were okay. I started on the journey back to Ponyville, which I assumed would take about 4 hours. The only remote area was the woods that ran for a few miles along the side of the mountain that I was on.
This forest was for the most part, eerie as fuck. It was like a damn horror movie, always foggy, owl's hooing. I started my walk about 1 hour ago, and it was the dead of night. My mind started to wander about how far the infection got, but without any city lights, or burning fires, you can't really tell how out of the ordinary things are going. All of a sudden, I saw a light, it was far off, but it almost looked like a...fire...Eeyup, that was definitely a fire, and the last time I checked a necro couldn't build one, so that means it had to be hu-erm..Equine.
I was approaching from about 200 ft away, and being as loud as possible to not spook them.
"Hello!" I called out, to let them know that I wasn't a threat.
I saw something a blue-ish white rise from a resting position, and don an aggressive stance.
"Who are you and what do you want!" He sounded like a teenage surfer
"I saw your fire, are you injured? I'm a doctor I can help!" Even though I wasn't a vet, I could still fix minor wounds.
He looked at me, and then back to a yellow and orange lump on the floor, then back to me.
"uh...Yeah! That would be good!"
I took that as an invitation, as I picked up speed and started running in their direction. When I got there I stopped and inspected the situation. There were 2 Pegasi, one whiteish-blue, and the other had a hot orange mane with a yellow coat. I don't mean that as attractive, I'm saying it was an intense orange. The stallion walked towards me and raised a hoof.
"Uh, heh you probably already know who I am..." He said sheepishly
"I'm not from around here, as you can probably tell."
"Oh yeah, well, i'm Soarin'...and this is Spitfire over here. When those things attacked, we just barley got away, we were doing a show in Canterlot. One of them clipped her wing, she can't fly in this condition, so we made camp here."
"Alright, I'm Trent. I'm a military combat medic."
I walked past Soarin', and focused my attention towards the mare.
"Do you mind if I see the damage, I can help to the best of my ability."
She looked at me with hesitation, but obliged.
"Uh..Sure, just..It's tender, OK?"
Well it seems that with all the other gear they confiscated from me, they left me with my Gay-dar, which was tripped at the sound of her voice. She sat up, as to make it easier to inspect the wing. I connected to the wing with a gentle touch, and the sent a bolt of pain throughout her aching body, and I recoiled my hand as to not cause any further pain. I looked at her and she gave me a nod, signaling that it was OK to continue. It was clearly very swelled, and so I did my best to gently unwrap the blood tainted cloth around the joint of the wing. I finally dismissed the makeshift gauze wrap from commission, as I took a closer look at the joint. From what I could tell, she had pretty bad tendon damage and from the looks of the wound, it was cauterized and starting necrosis, which will soon become gangrene.
"Is this wound cauterized?" I looked back to Soarin'
"Uh, yeah...She was bleeding so badly that I got a spoon and held the handle over a fire. It didn't feel good, but it stopped the bleeding pretty fast."
"Yeah, except...c'mere..."
I walked over from the downed mare and about 30 feet away from the camp with Soarin' in tow.
"What kind of athletes are you guys exactly?"
"We do stunt flying...why?"
*sigh* "Because when you cauterized the wound, it worsened the condition of the torn tendons...It wasn't your fault, you did the right thing because you couldn't get to a hospital, but...." I stared into the ground, shaking my head.
"What do you mean it's not my fault? What are you talking about!?" He raised his voice, and levitated off of the ground.
"That wing is crippled. I don't think...."
"WHAT! YOU DON'T THINK WHA-"
"She's not going to fly ever again, and if we don't get her medical attention soon it will need to be amputated, there is already signs of gangrene..." I gave him a look of sympathy.
He dropped to the ground, a look of pure shock and sorrow, as a single tear rolled off his grey coat. I knelled down next to him.
"I'm really sorry Soarin', but the sooner we act, the sooner she gets the help she needs. There is no time for stopping, you're coming with me to Ponyville."
He said nothing, he just stood and stared into the ground, jaw dropped, gently weeping. I thought it was best to leave him here, and go break the news to Spitfire.
As I approached her, she looked at me in a state of confusion.
"What did you guys talk about? Why was Soarin' yelling? Where is he?"
I let out a long, exasperated sigh. This wasn't going to be easy.
"Your wing is in really bad shape."
"W-...What are you saying?"
I simply looked at the ground. She remained silent.
"I don't think you're going to fly again...and if we don't get you to proper medical attention...you're going to lose it..."
She was in complete agony, not of the wound, but the plausible thought of never being able to do what she loves, ever again. It would be the end of her career, and possibly her life. She was openly sobbing at this point, and I have never felt so much sorrow, it took everything in my to not just sob my own eyes out. It wasn't long before Soarin' snapped out of his depression fueled daze, and walked over to us. He took up Spitfire in a warming hug.
"It's gonna be alright..."
We sat there for another 30 minutes, every one of us speechless. In the hour I have known them, they already trusted me like a life long friend.
It was me who broke the silence
"We need to get moving."
They both looked up at me from their resting position, as I looked into Spitfire's eyes. It was a look of pain, sorrow and exhaustion.
"He's right. If we're gonna have a chance, we have to move now."
He got up, and helped spitfire to her wobbly feet. I walked over to her and knelt down with my back facing her. I looked over my shoulder.
"Hop on..."
She was confused at first, but quickly got the idea. She threw her forelegs around my shoulders, and I scooped up her hind legs with my forearms. I lifted us up and we were on our way.
About 30 minutes of walking in silence, it was Soarin' who spoke.
"...Spitty asleep yet?"
I looked over to see a sleeping mare quietly slumbering on my shoulder.
"Yeah..."
"I have a question..." Soarin' asked
"Shoot."
"What are you, why are you here, and why are you helping us."
"That's 3..."
"Just answer them."
"I am a species called Human , I am here because I crashed my space vessel here after escaping from a necro infested mining ship, and I'm helping you because you need it. I can tell that you're good ponies, and I feel like I will value our relationship later on..."
"Where did you come from?"
"*Sigh*...These monsters...They came from an infection that started on a planet that a human ship was mining. The whole ship got infected, and the crew turned into those monsters. I was sent to help out, but I was the only survivor. I lost my only friend, and I'm not planning on losing 2 more." I looked over with a slight smirk
He also smiled
"But the infection got here from debris, remember the last meteor shower? Yeah, that was them."
"No, I don't. Me and Spitfire were probably making sure that the other 'bolts aren't OD-ing at some party."
"Wait, what?"
"Yeah, celebrity life really gets to them, if they're not shooting up to celebrate their acceptance, they start using from a party that they go to. Spitty and I kinda go to the parties and make sure they don't OD. I have seen it before, Heroin, 'Barbs, Oxies, you name it. Makes me sick how they just throw away their careers like that."
Fuck, I guess these ponies aren't as innocent as they look ...
"Yeah, I'm kinda used to patching people with gunshots through their legs, or limbs blown off."
"So...Are you and Spitfire, ya'no... "
"What...?"
"Are you guys....."
"...Fuck buddies?"
"Mhmm..."
"*Sigh*...One time, we were really drunk, and she wen't dow-..."
His provocative story was interrupted by a rustling sound to our left. I signaled for Soarin' to stop with my hand, but he was way ahead of me. I put Spitfire down gently, as an attempt to not wake her but it didn't work.
"...Wha...What's going on?..."
I just shushed her and crouched walked over to the source of the noise, Soarin' stepping to Spitfire's side. I picked up a large branch, and jumped around to see what was going on. Nothing. That was a sigh of relief.
"BEHIND YOU!" Soarin' Shouted
I turned around to see what looked like a necromorph wolf. Whatever it was, I had to kill it. Now. I swung the branch as hard as I could, connecting it to the head of the beast sufficiently knocking it over. I ran over to it and planet a foot on it's chest, and swinging again, knocking it out. I took my other foot and smashed its face in, covering me in blood and brain matter. I inspected it closer, but was sidetracked by an yellow mass galloping towards me. I jumped back just before spitfire started a rampage.
"YOU MOTHERFUCKER! I'M GONNA KILL EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ONE OF YOU! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
She was stomping on the dead wolf necromorph, dyeing her mane a sickly red color, just like me. She eventually remembered the pain that was coming from her wing, as she collapsed in pain. Me and Soarin' ran over to her side as she was panting heavily, and I lifted her back onto my back. She buried her face into my neck and started sobbing once again. I don't know about how I feel about this, but I kind of melted a bit. I was always a compassionate one.
About 2 hours later, we finally reached Ponyville, and I was about ready to pass out. But now that we were here, I didn't know where or who to go to. The first place I thought of was the closest and made the most sense, Sweet Apple Acres. Sounded like a good place to start.
We walked through the orchard to the barn, where sure enough, everything was boarded up. Windows, doors ect. I walked up to the large barn door and struck it heftily. No answer. I knocked again.
"We 'aint takin' in nopony! Find yerselfs somewhere else!"
"AJ, open up the fuckin' door..."
A few moments passed before the top half of the barn style door opened a crack.
"Trent?!"
The door shut, except this time, opened up fully allowing us to enter.
I walked through first, to see the mane six, looking like they had been to hell and back. I walked in, walked over to a hay bale and set Spitfire down on it. I turned around to see all of the ponies awe struck, and Rainbow Dash fainted.
"Uh...What happened to Dash?"
"You came with the Wonderbolts? "
"Oh yeah, apparently you know them?"
They all just nodded.
"Trent, where were you?!" Twilight yelled out
"Your royal fucking highness locked me up in an insane asylum, after telling her that THERE WERE NECROMORPHS HERE...Haha, look where we are now...Speaking of which, are you guys OK?"
"Yeah, it started after Celestia told us all to go back to our houses. We were walking back when one of those...monsters... Attacked Rainbow...She's alright, but we managed to get us all back here."
"Alright...Good."
I walked back over to Spitfire's unconscious body, and inspected her wing.
Fuck, it's turning gangrene, this thing has to come off...
I sighed and punched the wall, reopening the scar I acquired from doing the same action as before.
"...'Errethang alright, sugarcube?"
"AJ, I'm gonna need you to get me a hacksaw, lantern, a knife, towels, a block of wood and a bottle of whisky...This isn't gonna be pretty...."
AJ ran off to fetch the supplies with out any questions, and I turned to Soarin'.
"You're gonna need to be here for this."

Applejack came back into the room with a saddlebag and a Big Mac.
"Soarin', Big Mac, come with me..."
I picked up Spitfire, and brought her down into the barn cellar with Soarin', Big Mac and Applejack in tow. This was not gonna be pretty.
I pulled a workbench into the middle of the cellar and laid Spitfire atop of it. She woke up at this point, and was naturally very confused.
"What's going on? What are you guys-...no...no no NO NO NO! NO YOU'RE NOT DOING THIS!"
" Soarin', Mac, Help me."
We ran over to Spitfire, who was trying to escape from the makeshift operation room and held her down. I felt like a monster, but it needed to be done.
"Spitfire, your wing is far from OK, it is necrotic and very infected. If it doesn't go, right now, you will die."
That didn't help her calm down, she was still in a rage from the terrifying thought, I don't blame her.
"NO! IT'S FINE! MY WING IS FINE PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T! PLEAAAAAAAASEE!!" She was screaming bloody murder, but I had to stay strong for her sake.
"Soarin', Mac, You gotta do this, you need to hold her down and make sure she doesn't move....Applejack, you need to try to calm her down..."
"DON'T LISTEN TO HIM! HE'S ONE OF THEM!" She was yelling in a mixture of screaming and almost choking on the amount of tears she was producing. It was tearing me apart.
At this point, Soarin' and Big mac were on each sides of the operating table, holding Spitfire on her stomach, while restraining 2 legs each and weight on her back. Applejack was doing the best she could to try to calm down the extremely distressed mare.
"It's alright sugar cube, it's gonna be better soon ah' promise."
I selected the knife from the tray, first step, cut the surrounding flesh and skin. This was going to be the most painful part.
"Ok guys, steady! Steady!" I yelled in repetition, as to keep the order glued in their minds.
I moved the knife to the flesh surrounding the wing...
Okay, 3....2....1....
I pressured the knife and dragged it across the first layer of the incision around the joint, the epidermis. The skin needed to be cut in sections for proper healing. The second the knife hit the skin, she screamed in agonizing pain, pleading for the torture to stop, but it was to no avail. The dull farm knife tore more than cut through her yellow coat, sinking deeper into her soft flesh producing blood curdling cries for help. The only help she got was from AJ's soothing words, doing their best attempt to calm the Pegasus. Her wing screamed as it burned with the passion of 1,000 suns. I moved onto the second round with the knife.
"AJ, I need you to get a knife over the flame until it gets hot enough. There is going to need to be some cauterization soon."
"PLEAASEE!PLEAASE STOP CUTTING! PLEASE STOP..!" She screamed with tear logged words.
I cleaned the knife off with a towel and went back to the incision. The epidermis was successfully cut, so now I had to move onto the dermis. I brought the knife back inside the wound that I was holding open with my fingers, no time to sterilize. Her continuous screams of distress and torture went unheard as I continued my barbaric work. I used the same method that I used on the epidermis with the dull utility knife, tearing through the flesh of an innocent mare.
"It's okay Spitty, its only gonna get better." Soarin' said with a comforting smile, but that wasn't enough for her.
Normally any other pony would faint under this much pain, but Spitfire is a strong mare, she doesn't crack under pressure. Her screams reduced to low pitched gurgles at this point, she sounded on the verge of passing out from the shear amount of sensory nerves being overrun by my savage operation. I finished tearing through the dermal layer with my knife, and the torrent of blood broke.
"AJ! I NEED THE BOVIE NOW!"
She ran over and handed it to me with the handle in her mouth. I grabbed it and pressed it to the bleeding veins, with the searing sound and smell of burning flesh and blood. Spitfire had passed out at this point, and I was glad that she wasn't screaming any more. I checked to make sure that she still had a pulse, and continued the operation. Now that all of the flesh was removed from the bone, I had to start cutting. I grabbed the hack saw from the tray and started the slow sawing motion through the bone. The only sounds produced by the patient were those of slow grumbles as she lay overwhelmed in searing agony. After about 2 minutes of the repetitive motion, the wing came free from her body. I almost just broke down right there. I felt so much remorse and sadness, for I had just ruined her life. Flying was her life, without it she was basically dead.
I cauterized the rest of the wound, before wadding a towel in there and wrapping her side with a towel to hold it in place. I cleaned the blood from her coat, picked her up and brought her back up to the main barn room. As I laid her down on a bale of hay. I just overlooked her unconscious body, feeling the same pain she did. body I fell to my knees as a single tear rolled down my cheek. I felt the presence of another, so I looked over my shoulder to see Soarin' my my side. He put a hoof on my shoulder,
"You did the right thing, she's gonna be alright."
I sat there for about an hour, just thinking and drinking. Spitfire didn't drink any of the whiskey so I took the liberty, even though I saved a lot because lord knows she will be needing it.
"Trent..."
"hmm?"
"Those...things ...What are they?" Rainbow asked
"They're called Necromorphs , they are the reanimated bi-product of an alien virus. Even if you do have it, it will only take effect when you die."
"Well how do you kill them?"
"Didn't you listen to my story the other day? You cut off their limbs..."
"Well how do we do that?"
"AJ?" I called out
"Yeah?"
"Do you have any power saws, machete's, ect?"
"Eeyup, We got tree trimmers, chainsaw's and machete's as a matter of fact."
"Great, that's just what we need....I'm gonna need a crew of people to go out with me and look for supplies."
"Me an' Big Mac will go" Soarin' spoke out
"No. We need a stallion here in case anything gets through."
"I'll go..."
I looked around for the source, but when I found it I was in awe.
"No, Spitfire you're too wea-"
"DAMNIT I'M NOT TOO WEAK" as she stood an aggressive stance.
Dash, still got extremely depressed at the fact that Spitfire wasn't a wonderbolt anymore.
"I'm gonna kill all of those motherfuckers...They ruined my life..."
"...Alright, but its not a good idea, you just came out of surgery..."
"Oh that's what you call surgery jackass? Tearing my fucking wing off with a rusty blade and hacksaw? Fuck off"
"If it wasn't for me, you would be fucki-....It had to be done, I'm sorry, but it was for your own good."
"You should of let me fucking rot, now you're just prolonging to process..." She spat at me
"...Hey, Spitfire it's O-"
"Shut the FUCK UP DASH! DOES IT LOOK LIKE IT'S OK?! TELL ME!" She galloped over and jumped on top of her, pinning her down "IS THERE ANYTHING MISSING THERE?! DO YOU SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH ME?!"
Dash couldn't hold back tears anymore, her life long idol, never to fly again and screaming at her viciously. She couldn't get a word in. That's when Spitfire broke down aswell.
She calmed down, grabbed the bottle and sat down in the corner of the room.
"AJ, we need that farm equipment...where is it?"
"In the shed, right out there." She pointed a hoof to the door.
"Alright, Big Mac...You're with me. We're going into town."
He simply nodded, and followed me to the outside.
We collected the necessarily equipment, and proceeded into Ponyville.
"So we have a shopping list. We need to get equipment and medicine for Spitfire...Fuck...That's tearing me apart inside...I ruined her life..."
"Nope, You did right thing...She would of been gone otherwise..."
We made our way into the town, and it really didn't look much different. Just abandoned.
"So Big Mac, where do we find medicine around these parts?"
"Normally the market carts are out...But we can go to the hospital to find medicine."
"Alright...Let's go"
Our walk took about 25 minutes to get to the hospital. Once we got there, we walked through the glass doors and into triage area, to see blood everywhere. Not anything new for me. It looked as if once the infection came, the pony's naturally fled to the hospitals and everything went downhill from there. Me and Mac decided to split up, him going to the ED, me to the pharmacy to get Spitfire's antibiotics.
"Meet me back here in 15."
I was directed to the pharmacy by the directional signs on the walls. There were bodies laying here and on the floors, coating the hallways in blood. I had an eerie sense about this place, aside from the blood and bodies, it seemed like there were more to these corridors then meets the eye. I reached the pharmacy, which had looked to have been looted, but still contained some reputable supplies. It was guarded by a heavy door, it would destroy the blade of my chainsaw. I sought for other things to open the door with, but seemed to find nothing. My wandering brought me to a tyvek sheet that was hanging on a door way.
Is this a construction site? Nice.... I grinned to myself
I entered the closed off entrance of the site and looked for a reputable tool. There wasn't much there though, sledge hammers, crowbars ect. My aimless search finally paid off, in the form of a diamond edge, 16 inch, cut off saw. The ridiculously dangerous heavy duty saw would destroy anything you threw at it. It was love at first sight.
I walked down the corridor back in the direction of the pharmacy, proudly handling my new favorite toy. I was so enveloped in the love and enjoyment of my new weapon, that I didn't even notice that now was the time to test it out. From behind me, was a massive earth pony stallion in full construction attire, urging to dig his razor sharp blades into my unprotected flesh. He started his progression in the form of a wobbly canter, advancing closer by the second. I brought up my saw, yanked on the starter cord causing it to roar to life and raised it to eye level, ready to combat my assailant. These monsters know no fear, no pain; he continued his advance, raising his blades higher the closer he got to me and eventually brought them down. All I had to do was hold the roaring saw blade in front of my face, and off came both of his forelegs. He stumbled backwards after being decapitated and having no weapons left in his arsenal, I ran up to him and brought the heavy saw down on his neck in a diagonal motion. The weight of the saw easily carried itself through the flesh of the beast, the path being paved by a diamond edged blade ripping at 4,000 RPM. That was done, my new tool proved itself, and I was on my way to carry on the mission.
I found my way back to the pharmacy, where there Big Mac was walking to at the same time.
"Y'all OK? I heard a power saw and-...oh..." The sight of me answered his question
"Yeah, the door is a tank, I found this baby to open in like a can of sardines...I also ran into another one of the monsters, what about you?"
"Yeah, there was a necro nurse at the ED, ah' made minced meat of her though...I also got'cha this." He said as he threw a large orange bag in my direction.
"Might come in handy." He said with a smile
I lifted up the orange bag, and reviled that it had a large red and white medical cross on it. It was a full sized First Aid kit, it had an AED and all. Fuckin' score.
"Ha! Great find my man! Anyway, we need to get through here to get some amox."
I yanked the starter cord on the saw once again, and it roared to life. I approached the door of the pharmacy and slowly inched the whirling blade towards it. When it made contact, a torrent of searing hot sparks ensued. I stepped out of the path of them, but I still got burned a bit. With a noticeably big hole where the lock used to be, Big Mac came over and gave it a powerful buck, sending it flying on its hinges.
"Alright, we're in." I said, to imitate that of a miner
We walked through the door carefully, with these monsters, expect anything. With the coast seemingly clear, we walked in and started our search. While looking, out of my peripheral vision, I saw a quaking white clump in the corner. I instinctively raised my saw again, but found soon that it was unnecessary, for it was a pony. I approached the earth mare with a bit of haste, as this was our first survivor that we found in Ponyville.
"Are you alright, Ms.?"
"Y-yyes...I'm f-ffine..."
Big Mac seemed as if he knew this pony.
"Nurse Redheart, it's me, Big Macintosh, we ain't gonna hurt you, we're gonna get you out of here."
She merely nodded her head.
"Big Mac, keep her company, I will be right back." I still had antibiotics to find.
I ran over to the various shelf's, and tore through multiple bottles to find what I was looking for. Surprisingly, I got more then I expected. After about 45 seconds, I had with me 4,000 MG of Paracetamol with codeine, Paracetamol, Amox and some hydrocodone. Spitfire wasn't going to feel anything , I giggled to myself.
"Alright, I got what we need. Let's go."
I ran over to Redheart, picked her up like a deer fawn, gave Mac my saw, and we left on our way back to Sweet Apple Acres.

Even though they were relatively smaller in stature, pony's weren't light. Even nurse Redheart, who was on the more slender side, had to of weighed at least 90 pounds. Well anyway, the stress of carrying her, while walking about 2 klicks back to SAA was starting to take it's toll on me right about now. My forearms and biceps were on fire, but as not to disturb the sleeping mare I sucked it up and kept my arms in the same position the whole time.
"Mac, can we switch roles for a bit?" I was exhausted
"An' how do you propose ah do that?" He shot be an unamused look
He had a point, if we were gonna make it as comfortable for her as possible, and not look like we were hauling dead bodies around, I had to keep it how it is.
"...fine..."
"Ya'no, AJ is gon' be real cross with ya, she said not to take anyone else in..."
"Yeah, I suppose a certified medical technician, geared towards comforting patients would be the last thing that Spitfire or anyone for that matter needs. I don't know about you, but I always wished that an alien would preform brutal operations on me when I needed them."
He got the message.
"We're gonna need to find some food sooner or later, I haven't eaten or slept for days."
"We can try them carts over yonder." He lowered the Cut Off saw to raise a hoof and point in the direction of a few Conestoga looking wagons.
"What, no supermarkets?"
"Wagons don't got super powers round these parts..."
I decided it would be best to let that one go.
We approached the wagons, expecting anything, and started looting various carts but it didn't really amount to anything. They all really just contained rotten fruits, scarce grains and vegetables. If I didn't get some protein into me I wouldn't last another day, literally.
Oh Shit...
I just realized something, Ponies were herbivores. Fuck. Well, they would have to deal, I was going to get meat if they liked it or not. I just needed to find it first.
"Hey Mac, I'm not gonna lie, if I don't to eat some meat i'm not gonna survive."
He stared up at me with horror as he raised the saw in his defense.
"Calm down there, not pony meat, like chicken or something..." I looked off into the distance
"um...y'all could check the uh...Pet store... "
Yeah, I think I can survive off from meat for just a little bit.
"Never mind, just c'mon..."
We made it back to Sweet Apple Acres in about 15 minutes, and as usual, I struck the door asking for entrance to the makeshift fortress.
"Applejack open the fucking door, I'm tired."
Within a few seconds of hearing numerous locks and deadbolts being lifted, the door swung open with a tired looking Applejack standing where it used to be.
"TRENT! I TOLD YA WE AINT' TAKIN' IN ANYPO-"
"Shut the fuck up, god damn I can't do anything in this damn place without getting a lecture *grumble grumble...*" I trailed off as I passed by her.
I walked in, layed down Redheart next to a sleeping Twilight, and sat down.
"Where's Spitfire..." I asked, monotone.
"Up there" She pointed to the storage spaces in the upper level.
"*Sigh* , 'course..."
I stood up, approached and walked up the stairs, and saw a sleeping Spitfire.
"Hey...wake up..." I nudged her.
She groggily tried to shoo me off, but eventually sat up and rubbed her eyes.
"mmfhhm....what..."
"I have to redress your wound, and I got you something to take the edge off of the pain."
I started unwrapping the towel binding the other towel to her wound, she grimaced as the it tore away from the flesh sticking to it, but eventually came free. I reached over and unzipped the medical kit, things like this were like Christmas morning to me. I rifled through a few things, and eventually withdrew what I needed, a few rolls of gauze, gloves and saline. I removed the cover from the saline syringe and rinsed the inside of the wound with the sterile solution. I picked up the sterile package and opened it to reveal a roll of gauze wrap. I snipped off a piece of gauze, moistened it with the saline and tucked it into the wound. I rolled the rest of the roll over and around her chest to bind it once again. With that done, discarded the gloves, and searched for the medication. I withdrew the Amox and popped open the lid, pouring a single tablet into my hand.
"Here, this will make sure you don't die from infection." I handed her the pill
"...What is it..." She looked at it questionably.
"Amoxicillin, it's an antibiotic."
I went back into my bag to search for the other pills, eventually finding what I needed. I returned with 2 bottles, Hydrocodone and Paracetamol+Codeine. I opened up the bottles, took 2 of each, and added them to her dosage.
"Yeah, um...You're not gonna feel anything for about 6-8 hours... You should probably just roll around in the hay for a while..."
With that, I picked up my kit, slung it over my shoulder and walked back downstairs to meet the rest of the party.
Nurse Redheart awoke about an hour ago, and explained the situation at the hospital and how she locked herself in the pharmacy, because of the massive door. She also explained her feelings about the surgery incident .
"You know you could of started her on antibiotics, instead of taking such drastic measures..."
"What antibiotics?"
"Right...I guess you were right in your decision, but you could of sterilized atleast..."
"No time, No place...She had a 104° and was symptomatic. It had to be done...Speaking of which, Spitfire! How ya' doin up there?" I yelled at the upper level.
No answer
"Hey! Spitfire!"
Still no answer.
"What the fuck?..." I whispered to myself as I got up and ran up the stairs. I reached the top and found a motionless Pegasus laying on the floor, back turned to me.
"Hey, Spitfire!" I nudged her. When she didn't give a reaction, I knew something was up. I rolled her over onto her back, revealing her blue lips. I rolled open her eye lid and shined my penlight into her amber eyes, observing her pupil. they were pinpricks, completely constricted. It wasn't until then that I noticed the half empty pill bottle next to her.
"FUCK! HEY WAKE U-...GRR!...REDHEART! GET UP HERE! I NEED A 10CC SYRINGE AND A VILE OF NALOXONE STAT!"
"What's going on?!" She yelled from below
"SHE'S OD-ING, NARCO'S! GET THE MED, SHE MIGHT GO UNDER!"
She jumped into action, grabbing various items from the med kit with haste.
"What's going on everypony?" Twilight asked, awaking from her slumber.
"Yeah, what gives?" Pinky asked from the same situation as Twilight.
We didn't even think to respond, I wasn't going to have another friend die on me. Not this time.
I rolled her into the recovery position, as to make sure no pulmonary aspiration ensued, and searched for a suitable vein for injection. Redheart bolted up the staircase with legerity, Soarin' in tow, and started the preparations for revival. I grabbed the syringe and Naloxone vial and extracted a ball parked dose according to a weight estimation. I withdrew the hypodermic from the vial and pressured it through the large vein in her muscular forearm, sliding through the skin with ease. It takes a few seconds for the NarCan to start counteracting the opiate molecules, but it didn't seem to be working at all. We waited around 30 seconds with no avail.
"Charge the MED, She's in Cardiac Arrest."
"What's going on?! Is she gonna be alright?!"
"Soarin', you need to clear the area, go calm the rest of them..."
"NO! I NE-"
"SOARIN' FUCKING MOVE YOUR ASS!"
He lept off the stairs, using his wings to bring him down softly.
"Starting Compressions!" I yelled over the beeping of the charging Defib.
"CLEAR PATIENT!" Redheart ordered.
BEEP The MED signaling that the charge was delivered successfully, but heart not back on rhythm.
"FUCK! CLEAR!" She yelled
Another Charge delivered, still no beat.

With a loud gasp, she shot back to life, and fell, sobbing, directly into my arms. I thanked what ever higher being helped me the fuck through that one. A wave of relief washed over me like a tsunami, as I passed out sitting up against the wall from sheer exhaustion...Longest 3 days of my life.
I woke up in the same position I was in before, with the same mare curled up next to me. The screaming pain of the backache that sleeping against a wall gave me, was subsided by the joy of not losing another friend in your own hands. I gently lifted myself from the ground, as to not wake Spitfire, and walked down the steps to see everybody except Soarin' asleep.
"Hey, hero..."
"Everyone's asleep already?" I asked groggily
"It's like 3 am..."
"Then why aren't you asleep?"
"I can't, too much on my mind..."
"Care to talk?"
"Nah, not really...So what happened with Spitfire?"
"*Sigh* , She overdosed on the pain meds that I gave her...She's really depressed..."
"Yeah...Don't you find it odd that she was sleeping on you?"
"Um..no...I just saved her life, she fell asleep after being revived from a heart attack. Not a big deal"
"Not that, no, but she continued to do the same thing after coming down here and apologizing to us for being so much trouble..." He looked at me with a cocked eye brow and a slight smile.
"Yeah, so?"
"Just puttin' it out there..." He said as he turned and reclined on the hay bales, assuming the position of the other ponies.
"Just sleep on that thought, huh?"
"What ever..." I walked back upstairs, I preferred to sleep in places rather secluded then crowded.
I woke up laying down on a hard wood floor, slightly padded with hay, to the sound of a hammer slamming on a wood wall. There was Soarin', nailing a barricade on the window. My back hurt nonetheless, but it felt nice to be rested once again. Next step, food. I also noticed something rather strange to my right, and what I found surprised me. Spitfire was laying in the contour of my side, resting a single foreleg on my chest. I looked up in confusion to see Soarin' grinning and raising a brow at me. He flew back down to the main room and out of sight. I raised myself from the dirty wood barn floor and walked downstairs. I looked out the window to see the nice morning fog, a sign of early rising. But there was something peculiar about it.
"Hey, Applejack, do you have any binoculars?"
"Mhmm, hold on."
She returned a few seconds later with an old pair of aviation binoculars and handed them to me.
"They're rusty, but they will work nice." She added
"Hey, um...Dash?..."
mmffmhm...whut...I'm sleeping..."
"I know the rainbows are made by you guys, but is the morning fog normally sprayed by ponies in chemical suits?"
"What now?"
"Guys, we gotta get the fuck outta dodge..." I spoke calmly
"Looks like Celestia isn't so fair after all..."

Chapter 11: Get Out Alive
Author's Notes: Inspired from this song, You might want to listen while reading . Sorry for another short chapter guys, i'm pressed for time and I'm trying not to lose any followers This is by far the shittiest chapter in my opinion. Also,

I dropped the binoculars, staring in awe.
"Trent? What's going on? Is everything alright? Trent!" Dash's yells brought me back to reality.
It took me a minute, but then I realized that if we were gonna get out alive, we would have to move fast .
"Oh-h-h...you have gotta to be FUCKING KIDDING ME!"
I ran to other side of the barn, if this was anything like an American operation, then we would be screwed. I pulled down a 2x4 from a barricade, trying to get a better glimpse of the outside world. I was horrified from what I saw.
The sound of the exploding shells was deafening. The mortar fire of the gas shells were firing right next to my head, dazing me slightly. I was stunned back into reality by the screaming off our CO.
"GO! GO! GO!"
We all charged out of the surrounding woods of the rural village, already heavily panting in our bulky chemical suits and gas masks. We ignored the screams of the villagers being brutally murdered by fellow squad members. We didn't discriminate, woman, children, it didn't matter. Our orders were to kill any living being, and that's what the rest of my squad and I did. I kicked in the door of a native house, to see a young woman cradling and protecting her children in the corner of her house. I hesitated for a moment as they screamed in pure terror at the reaper in the olive drab chemical suit, staring them in the eyes. I raised my rifle to my shoulder, looked down my sights, and fired an entire magazine into the innocent villagers of the enemy country. The screaming stopped as the blood poured from their severed corpses, and I stared down my handy work.
"Blackburne, even though taking a picture would last longer, you gotta get the fuck outta here! The flyboys are gonna nape the whole fuckin' village! C'mon!"
He grabbed my arm and pulled me to coax me into following him. I eventually started moving backwards in the direction of my objective, keeping my eye's locked on the family I just brutally murdered.
"They're gone Trent! Come the fuck on!"
I followed him out of the house, sprinting towards the evac point, screaming at my other squadmates,
"SKY OUT! SKY OUT! THIS IS A ZIPPO RAID!"
They heard me, and started sprinting towards the woods in the direction we came from. We could already hear the sounds of the newly issued A-15 Lightningbolt II's engines ripping through the atmosphere. They made their appearance shortly before the intense flash of burning light associated with a daisy cutter. Most of us didn't have enough time to run, and as a result we got blown forward by the powerful shockwave. I saw men, my friends, die that day. Burned alive in their suits by friendly forces. I kept running through the woods, escaping the burning jellied gasoline and from everything, I just needed to get out of there, for the sake of my own sanity. I was surrounded by my fellow soldiers, burning, carrying away their friends in a futile attempt to save their slipping lives. I found my CO, who was making calls over the radio to base camp. I grabbed the radio away from him and out of pure rage, screamed in his face.
"CONVENIENT THAT YOU WERE BACK HERE THE WHOLE TIME, SIR! WHO THE FUCK IS THE ENEMY ANYMORE? TELL ME! WHO THE FUCK ARE WE FIGHTING?! OR ARE WE JUST PAWNS, SENT TO DIE? ARE WE THE EXPENDABLES?! FUCKING TELL ME!"
A hero of war, yeah that's what i'll be, And when I come home, they'll be damn proud of me.. I'll carry this flag, to the grave if I must, Because it's a flag that I love,
And flag that I trust... My eyes shot open and I felt a warm tingling sensation form on my right hand. I looked in my dazed condition, and found that during my flashback I had punched the wall in anger. I turned around to see a slightly disturbed group of ponies awaiting direction.
"Trent, you alright?" Soarin' spoke.
"...Yeah...Just..A Bad Memory..."
"We gotta get outta here, any plans?" Spitfire asked
Oh fuck...I had forgot the reason for my flashback, they were nukin' the place.
"Fuck..." I knew we needed to run, but I didn't know where. They were coming from all directions. I just stared at the floor.
"It's alright, y'all did enough for us...It's-...It's just our time...We had a good run..." Applejack spoke, depression in her voice.
My eyes shot open once again...
"No...No I'm getting you guys out of this...This is the plan."
We were hunkered down in the cellar, the same room that Spitfire's operation underwent. The dried blood still decorated the work bench, along with the malicious farm tools.
"Soarin', Mac, on me, and stay frosty...Remember, these guys aren't gonna hesitate to waste you two, so you need to make sure you put them down before they do to you."
A nod of recognition told me that they understood. We put a foothold and the doors, ready to combat and interrogate anypony who came to check this place out. No power tools for this one, too loud. Just clubs and hatchets. I heard a voice, and peeked out the small opening to the outside. I ringed my fingers around my forearm, waved my hand and put a hand over my mouth and nose, to signal 1 enemy and no visible gas.
"Check the barn, beat feet, meet us back at rally."
"Wilco."
We heard hoofsteps approaching the barn, and we readied our weapons. The door creaked open, and a pony with a gray, baggy chemical suit entered, armed with what looked like a standard assault rifle. That made me question all the human influence in this damn place, or maybe the other way around. He scanned the upper floor with a barrel mounted torch, and Mac jumped on him, seizing his weapon and voice as he put him in a choke hold. His military training kicked in as he locked calf's and threw him to the ground. While he was recovering, me and Soarin' jumped on him. I grabbed him in the same choke hold, except wrapped my legs around his torso, and into a secure lock. It wasn't long before he passed out.
The soldier awoke several minutes later, stripped from all of his gear. Upon first sight of me, he panicked, only to notice his 5 point restraint.
"HUH?! WHAT?! LET ME GO! I'M NOT SAYING ANYTHING!"
"OH SHUT UP! Were not gonna hurt you..."
It was then when Big Macintosh and Soarin' stepped into the picture.
"H-Hey! You're Soarin! T-The wonderbolt!"
"Yeah, and if you don't start talking, you will get the honor of being wasted by me."
He was starting to get an attitude, I liked it.
"Wh-what do y-you wanna know..."
"You're gonna tell us how to get the fuck out of here."
"There is military everywhere, they're gonna start moving into the everfree forest soon. They're nuking everything..."
"Who's order are you under."
"Celestia...Our orders are direct from Celestia.."
That last statement hit Twilight hard. She collapsed into the group of her friends.
"H-how could she do that...She was my mentor, my....friend...."
"I'm sorry darling, but I assure you in running a kingdom you have to make difficult decisions for the best..." Rarity, trying her best to comfort her distressed friend.
"Y-yeah...I agree...." Fluttershy squeaked.
"How are we supposed to get out of here?"
"Your best bet would be the everfree, were not hitting that until tomorrow."
"Are you guys using NBC agents?" I spoke up
"Yeah...Nerve gas..."
"FUCK!....Alright, were gonna need to get out of here fast..."
I heard the distant sounds of gunshots and a call over the soldiers radio.
"FUCK! THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! FALL BACK! FALL BACK!"
"Oh shit...It's not gonna be long before they find us here."
"Just...Just go anywhere left from here. Anything right of the Canterlot mountains is done."
"Well what the hell is west of here?" I looked around the room.
"Appleloosa..." Applejack spoke up.

"Where the fuck is 'Apple - Oosah'?" I questioned.
"Well, I reckon the Ponyville Train station is 'outta the question," stated AJ " I'd say about a day's walk, and if we're gonna get there, we better start hoofin' it!"
"You're right. Let's start moving." I pointed to the gutless Equestrian soldier, "You..."
A confused look came over his face.
"...I'm gonna need one last thing from you..."
His concerned expression elevated every step closer to him I took.
I made an incision exactly how you would field dress a deer: I started at the crotch and followed through all the way to the neck, the rough, beaten edge of the rusty farm blade was tearing more then it was cutting. The look of confusion was increasing over my peers, and for some reason the yellow one, Shutterfly if I remember correctly, was shivering in the corner. But then again, she was scared of everything it seemed. I held up my handy work and tried it on, it was snug, but fit nonetheless and was much better then the white straight jacket I had on before. A voice brought my attention the the other side of the room.
"What the fuck do you expect me to do now?..." It was the solider.
He had calmed down a bit since I had had Soarin' help me strip him to his undergarments so that I could make his BDU into a rough poncho to try to conceal my bright white straight jacket.
"Well, if I were you I would report back to your platoon. It's not like they won't want you back." I didn't look at him while I spoke.
"...You self centered son of a bitch...You're just gonna leave me to die, aren't you. You know that those monsters are out there."
I halted what I was doing and stared blankly into the air. For once in my life I was caught off guard by a question.
"...You think I am some sort of savior? Some sort of Moses, that I'm going to collect all of the survivors and part the fucking seas and lead you to a safe haven? You think that I haven't seen things that your wildest nightmares couldn't being to comprehend?"
"Trent..." It was Twilight, all though she knew she couldn't stop what was coming, she didn't want to think she didn't try.
I was inches from his unflinching face at this point.
"I've had my best friend, Die , in my own fucking hands, and I couldn't do anything about it. I watched the life literally slip from h-"
"And now you're trying to save all of these random ponies you met on the street to compensate for it."
My irate train of thought was slammed to a halt, I couldn't believe what he just said. But most of all, how true it was. The truth of the matter was completely shown to me at that moment. I couldn't control my seething rage at this point. I could feel my forearm tensing along with my fist. With all my might I drove me fist right towards the face of the pony. Moments from impact, my fist stopped dead in its tracks. For some strange reason I was immobilized, I couldn't move a muscle, or breath for that matter. I felt my stomach area moisten as a torrent of warm liquid cascaded onto my pants, the floor and the solider. The sudden realization of the situation was more horrifying then anything I've had to deal with so far. The soldier had speared me in the abdomen with a shard of broken glass. I was stabbed in the stomach.
I fell to the floor as the soldier sprinted out of the room, I could not comprehend the paralyzing pain. It was worse then anything I've ever felt before. Before I could formulate words, the black tunnel in my vision had closed in, I was out like a light.
