The 3 o'clock Pinkie Pie surprise...
At three o'clock, Rainbow flew up to Sugarcube corner, expecting to move some crates and shoot some guns. But that is not what she saw. Instead, she saw a big banner with the word 'Pinkiedash!', on it. And then she saw Pinkie Pie herself, resting on top of one of the Cake's most expensive tables, in a slightly compromising pose. And no guns or crates in sight. Not that Rainbow was that excited anyway. I mean, the gun thing sounded awesome to her, but moving crates just didn't seem fun... and it didn't sound like Pinkie Pie...
"C'mon Dashie! We're almost to the room!", Pinkie said, and leaped off the table.
"Okay then..." Dash said trailing off.
"Here we are!", Pinkie squealed as they had stepped through several doors and finally reached 'the room'.
"Wow...", Dash said, trailing off again.
"Isn't it great?!", Pinkie yelled.
"Woah!", Rainbow yelled.
"Do you not like it?", Pinkie said, her hair starting to droop.
"Uh, no, Pinks, this is incredible!", Rainbow yelled excitedly, taking in all of the decorations. Crazy and romantic as they were, they gave off a decent vibe. 'Wait, hold on,' Rainbow said as she thought to herself, 'romantic?' Nah, this was Pinkie Pie, besides that party pony was always a little crazy! The heart shaped cookies and candles were a little weird, though. Maybe Pinks was going for more of an oriental look? 'Yeah, that must be it,' Rainbow thought.
"So how do you like it?", Pinkie asked.
"Pinkie it's incredible!", Dash yelled, almost squealing. Very uncharacteristically, I might add.
"Glad you like it," Pinkie said, smiling a bit bigger than normal.
"Why wouldn't I?", Rainbow asked.
"Well, it's just-", Pinkie started. "Never mind," she said cutting herself off. "It's not important as long as my good friend Rainbow Dashie loves it!"
'Rainbow Dashie?', Dash thought to herself. 'Oh well, Pinkie Pie will be Pinkie Pie', Rainbow said inwardly.
"So let's bring out the food!", Pinkie yelled.
The candles flickered, going out for a second, and then food appeared on the table, levitated in by a blue aura of magic.
Rainbow looked to her right, then to her left, and saw Rarity.
"Hello, darlings.", she said squealing. "So happy she agreed," she said winking at Pinkie.
'Okay, this is weird', Rainbow thought.
"Wanna cookie?", Pinkie asked.
"Um, sure," Dash replied, still not exactly understanding what was happening. Or that she was on a date.
Pinkie actually just stayed quiet for a couple of seconds, which never happens.
'This must be real important to her,' Rainbow thought, as she took a bite of the cookie. But she had to know something. "Pinkie why all the heart shaped cookies and oriental rugs and designs? And why the romantic atmosphere?", Rainbow asked confusedly.
"Oh, you don't know silly?", Pinkie said looking confused as well.
"Well no, not really.", Rainbow said as she scratched at her mane.
"We're on a date!", Pinkie exclaimed suddenly, beaming with all her pearly whites visible.
"Really, cause I thought we were stacking crates. And shooting guns and-", Rainbow said cutting herself off. "I misheard that this morning didn't I?", Rainbow asked blushing profusely.
"Darling you should really get more sleep," Rarity's voice sounded from behind 'the room's' curtain...
