Colgate's Frustration

Monday morning arrived in Ponyville and like every other morning, Colgate and Amethyst woke up in a tight embrace. The two had been married for three years and they could not be happier. As they headed downstairs they were greeted by General Pearly Whites, who was allowed to remain in Ponyville along with a few soldiers when Luna took the rest of what was Colgate's special army back to Canterlot.

He saw huge smiles on their faces. He asked, "Good morning Colgate, good morning Amethyst. So what do you have planned for today?"

Colgate replied, "Well it is Monday so it is just another day in the office."

Pearly asked, "Why in Equestria would you be so happy that it is a Monday? Most ponies hate Mondays!"

Amethyst joyfully replied, "Pearly, you know we're happy no matter what! We have each other and that is more than enough of a reason to be happy."

Despite it having been years ago, *Pearly still remembered the days when they would fight and yell at one another over Colgate's plans on who to punish. He said, "Very true. I still can't help but remember those turbulent days of old."

Colgate asked, "Could we please not bring that up? We have moved on and are much happier because of it."

Pearly replied, "Sorry Colgate. I didn't mean to cause you any undue stress."

Amethyst asked, "So, what's for breakfast this morning"

Colgate replied, "Eggs, bacon, steel cut oats and cider."

While they have ate it ever since before they were married, Amethyst still was not a fan of bacon so all she could do was sigh in disgust and stomach the meat that her wife loved so much. Once they finished their breakfast they headed to their office.

It was not long after they opened that their first patient of the day arrived. Amethyst greeted her, "Miss Cheerilee, how are you doing today?"

Cheerilee replied, "Oh I'm doing ok but my upper right teeth hurt whenever I eat anything cold."

Amethyst sighed, "Well let's get you on back so we can get this taken care of."

Given that Amethyst is normally overly cheerful her reaction unnerved the teacher a bit. While she knew that the worst she would likely get would be a stern lecture from Colgate, she was not the type that enjoyed being lectured.

When Amethyst got her sat down in the chair she began to look in her mouth. While she still did not know Colgate's X-ray spell, she could see a couple cavities with her eyes alone. She sighed, "Well Cheerilee, let me go get Colgate but don't be surprised if she lectures you."

While she headed back to get Colgate Cheerilee sighed in frustration. She ate healthy foods for the most part so she didn't know what would cause her to develop any problems. When Colgate returned she said, "So Cheerilee, Amethyst told me that things don't look good."

Cheerilee replied, "Yeah, that is what I got from her reaction."

Colgate asked, "Well let's take a look, shall we?"

Colgate lit up her horn and began to examine the teacher's teeth. What she saw would not frustrate her, it would anger her greatly. She looked down at Cheerilee with a look of pure hatred, "Cheerilee, I have never seen teeth this bad before in my life. You have seven cavities and two of your teeth are rotting."

Cheerilee replied, "But I eat healthy foods and try to brush when I think about it."

Colgate screamed, "You claim you eat healthy and yet you develop seven cavities and have two rotting teeth." She smacked the teacher and continued, "And you say you only brush when you think about it? It's no wonder your teeth are in such bad shape."

Cheerilee replied, "No need to be such grump. I know you want ponies to have healthy teeth but it is no reason to smack me."

Colgate snapped, "But it is! I am so sick and tired of ponies showing up with dental problems, especially as bad as yours are! There is no excuse for it! Ponies should have the brains to take care of their teeth!"

Cheerilee shied back, "Look, I'll try to do better in the future."

Colgate ordered, "Cheerilee, go check out with **Lemony Gem and schedule an appointment to get this taken care of. I don't want to see you get sick because of this and not be able to teach the fillies and colts." Cheerilee began to get up but Colgate stopped her, "Speaking of teaching, have you been teaching the foals about the importance of proper oral hygiene like you agreed to a couple years back?"

Cheerilee replied, "Well no. I haven't in a couple of years because they found it so boring so I decided that time could be replaced with a time to have fun and play games."

While Cheerilee's bad teeth angered Colgate, this infuriated her. She snapped, "No wonder most of them come in with cavities and rotten teeth." She smacked her harder, leaving a red spot on her face and continued, "Look teacher, get back to teaching those foals what they need to know, not dumbing them down with stupid games."

Cheerilee was terrified. She gulped, "Ok, I'll start teaching them about oral hygiene again."

Colgate pointed her hoof towards the exit and ordered, "Now go check out and schedule an appointment so we can get you fixed."

Cheerilee nodded and raced towards the desk. Amethyst saw this and wondered what would cause her to rush out so quickly. Amethyst headed back to find Colgate snorting and stomping her hooves. She asked, "Colgate, what is wrong?"

Colgate screamed, "Why can't these ponies listen? Why can't they just listen to me and take care of their teeth! Ugh, I'd just love to smack the shit out of them!"

Amethyst asked, "Colgate, speaking of smacking ponies, why did Cheerilee have a red mark on her face when she left?" She got a worried look on her face and continued, "You didn't smack her, did you?"

Colgate grunted, "She had seven cavities and a rotting tooth so she asked for it!" She stood tall and boasted, "I didn't smack her, I smacked her twice!"

Amethyst remembered how back in their days of torturing ponies that Colgate loved to smack bad patients. She asked, "Colgate, you aren't reverting to your old self are you? You aren't going to start torturing ponies again are you?"

Colgate replied, "Now what would make you think I would do that? I know what would happen if I did and besides, I'm not like that anymore. You should know that."

Amethyst sighed, "Oh alright. I just remember how you used to like smacking ponies."

Colgate replied, "Enough of this, let's get the next patient back here, alright?"

Amethyst nodded and headed out to get the next patient. While she was doing her best to hide it, Colgate was furious. She had visions of her punishing Cheerilee for having such bad teeth. She snickered, "There has to be a way to get around this. There has to be a way to punish her without getting caught."

A Family Visit

The rest of their day went by without incident as nopony else had any dental problems but that was not enough to calm Colgate down. Like she did in the past, she felt like a failure that a pony would show up with dental problems after preaching to them the importance of good oral hygiene. She just couldn't understand it. She couldn't understand how after she would preach the importance of oral hygiene that ponies wouldn't listen to her.

After they closed Amethyst found her in a corner banging her head on the wall. She asked, "Honey, what is wrong?"

Colgate screamed, "Cheerilee is what is wrong! I have preached to her for years the importance of proper oral hygiene and what is worse, she quit emphasizing the importance of oral hygiene to her students!" She kicked the wall and continued, "She quit teaching them about that because they found it boring! She let's them play games instead of teaching them about what is important in life!"

Amethyst put her arm around her and sighed, "Sweetie, calm down. If ponies want to have to come to you more and provide you with more business, then that is their problem." She kissed her and continued, "Besides, with that much more money, we can go on a better vacation next time we go on one."

Colgate replied, "Yes honey, I know." She snorted and continued, "But it is the principle of the matter! Ever since I graduated from the academy I have wanted to see Equestria be free of cavities." She punched the wall and continued, "But thanks to Luna, I can't do that! If she would just let me do what I used to do, perhaps I could achieve that!"

Amethyst got a nervous look on her face when Colgate said that. She said, "Colgate, what she did was in the best interests of not only Equestria but our marriage as well. Had she simply let you keep on killing ponies, our marriage would have disintegrated and you probably would have wiped out half of the population of Equestria by now."

Colgate sighed, "Yeah, you're right. Let's just get home. Perhaps some supper will ease the frustration I am feeling right now."

When the two got home Pearly could see that they were somewhat stressed. He asked, "Colgate, Amethyst, what is wrong?"

Amethyst replied, "Well we had a rather......"

Colgate interrupted, "We had a very bad patient come in today, a patient whose teeth were so bad that I had never seen such horrid teeth before," She began to laugh, "well when they first came in to see me anyway!"

Pearly laughed, "Oh I see, you're reminiscing about the old days, aren't you?"

Colgate snickered, "Yes, I am."

Amethyst snapped, "Colgate, it was just this morning that you didn't want to bring up the old days and now here you are laughing about it?"

Colgate sighed, "Geez honey, no need to be so grumpy about it."

After she said this there was a knock on the door. Amethyst answered it and her parents stood before her. She rushed into their hooves, "Mom! Dad! It is so good to see you!"

Golden Harvest replied, "It's good to see you too sweetie!"

Amethyst invited them in and asked, "So how are you two doing?"

Written Script replied, "Well same old, same old. I'm working and your mother is tending the garden."

When they went in *Golden saw Colgate and sneered, "Oh hello Colgate. How is everypony's favorite murderer doing?"

Colgate sneered back, "Oh I'm just dandy now that I have to put up with you."

Amethyst heard their interaction and interrupted, "Mom, Colgate, I know you two don't particularly care for one another but please try to be civil."

Golden sighed, "Fine."

Colgate added, "Only for you dear."

As they headed in to the dining hall they were immediately greeted by the chef. He saw Amethyst's parents and asked, "So are we having something special tonight since you have company?"

Amethyst replied, "Not in particular." She cast her gaze to her parents and asked, "What do you want?"

Golden replied, "I would love a daffodil and daisy sandwich, a side of carrots and some cider."

**Written added, "I would like a hay burger, hay fries and some cider."

Amethyst added, "I'll take what my mom is having."

Colgate ordered, "I want steak, hay fries, mashed potatoes and cider." She glared and continued, "Oh and make that steak raw and leave the pitcher."

The waiter nodded and headed back to the kitchen. Amethyst was shocked that Colgate would order her steak raw. She asked, "Colgate, why in Equestria would you eat your steak raw? You haven't done that since...."

Golden interrupted, "Since she was brutally torturing and killing ponies?" She glared at Colgate and continued, "Your lust for blood is still there, isn't it?"

Colgate laughed, "No, it isn't but after the type of day I've had, some raw meat sounds very good."

After Colgate said that the table went quiet. While Written had no problems with Colgate's eating habits, Golden knew why she ordered her meat that way. She knew she wanted to feel the blood running down her face and reminisce about the days of when it was pony blood she let do that.

After what seemed to be forever their meal arrived. Written was eating at a rather causal pace but the rest of them were devouring their meals as they simply wanted to get this over with. Once they were finished eating Golden asked, "Amethyst, your father and I have a question."

Amethyst asked, "What is it?"

Golden replied, "Your father and I are going on a vacation to Saddle Arabia this weekend and we are wondering if you would want to come?"

Amethyst asked, "What about Colgate, can she come to?"

Golden glared at Colgate and replied, "No, I don't want to have to spend any more time around her than I have to."

Written added, "So what do you say honey?"

Amethyst asked, "So how long would this trip last?"

Written replied, "A week."

Golden added, "We need to get out of town and we just thought you might need some time away too."

Amethyst looked at Colgate and asked, "Honey, it has been a while since I spent some quality time with my parents, is it ok?"

Colgate replied, "Of course you can! Go and have some fun with your parents."

Amethyst hugged her and squealed, "Thank you Colgate! I can't wait for this weekend."

Colgate replied, "Amethyst sweetie, you know you don't have to ask for permission from me. You could have just told me you were going and I wouldn't have stopped you."

After another hour of talking Written looked at his watch and said, "Well honey, it is getting late. I think we should head for home."

Golden replied "I agree."

Amethyst escorted them to the door and gave them good night hugs. While she was doing this, the wheels were turning in Colgate's head. She realized that the upcoming weekend would be the perfect opportunity to return to doing what she truly loved most and be able to punish Cheerilee for daring to come to her with bad teeth.

When Amethyst returned to the dining hall she saw Colgate had a smirk on her face. She asked, "Colgate, what is the smirk over? What is running through your mind?"

Colgate lost the smirk and replied, "Oh nothing in particular."

Despite having not done anything since before Luna threatened them, Amethyst had a feeling as to what was running through her wife's mind. She asked, "Colgate, you aren't going to do something that will get you executed this weekend, are you?"

Colgate innocently giggled, "Me do something like that? You know I would never do anything like that anymore!"

Amethyst sighed, "Well alright. It is just that you seemed almost ecstatic that I would be going out of town for a week."

Colgate looked at the clock and noticed that it was nearly 2200. She said, "Well Amethyst sweetie, it is getting late, we better hit the hay."

Amethyst nodded and they headed upstairs. That night, like every other night, they would sleep in a tight embrace but Amethyst couldn't help but notice something. Rather than spending ten minutes of saying "I love you" to one another, Colgate fell asleep rather quickly. What bothered her the most though is that Colgate fell asleep with a smile on her face, which had not happened in years. All she could do was hope that Colgate was not lying about her plans.

Mission Planning

Friday afternoon had arrived and Colgate was closing up shop. Luckily for Amethyst they had not had any bad patients show up since Cheerilee so Colgate was in a happy mood. As they headed home Amethyst asked, "Well honey, are you happy? We haven't had any bad patients since Cheerilee."

Colgate replied, "Yeah, I'm happy. I don't know why I wouldn't be."

Amethyst gave her a sad look and continued, "I thought you would be sad because you won't have me to cuddle with for a week."

Colgate replied, "Well yeah I am sad over that but what matters to me is that you'll get to spend some quality time with your parents."

Before they knew it they arrived at the castle and Amethyst's parents were waiting outside. Amethyst rushed to them, "Mom, dad! It is so good to see you!"

Written replied, "It is good to see you too!"

Golden saw Colgate and said, "Amethyst, could you hurry up and get your stuff, I want to get going as soon as possible." She lowered her voice and continued, "Besides, I don't want to have to spend any more time around that murderer of a wife of yours."

Amethyst sighed, "Mom, she isn't like that anymore and remember, I killed ponies as well so I guess I'm a murderer too."

Golden replied, "Yes I know but she forced you do it." She pointed her hoof towards the door and ordered, "Now go and get your stuff, alright?"

Amethyst nodded and headed up to get what she had packed for the trip. As Colgate approached the door Golden gave her a glare and sighed. Colgate muttered, "It's nice to see you too."

Once Colgate headed in Amethyst hugged her. She said, "Good bye sweetie, I'm going to miss you."

Colgate kissed her and replied, "I'm going to miss you too honey."

While they were kissing Golden yelled, "Amethyst, come on. I want to get going, ALRIGHT?"

Amethyst broke the kiss and replied, "Coming mom!"

She rushed out the door and the three headed out of town. As Colgate saw this she was happy. Pearly was standing next to her and asked, "Colgate, why is there such a huge smile on your face?"

Colgate replied, "Pearly, we need to talk, in private."

Pearly followed Colgate inside and could help but wonder what was going on. The fact that Colgate would smile when her wife was leaving really bothered him. He couldn't help but remember how Colgate was the last time Amethyst left the castle for a while. While on the surface he tried to show strength, deep down he was nervous that Colgate's old ways were returning.

They headed into the castle and down into the basement. When Pearly saw where they were headed he got a sick feeling in his gut. While the place had been washed clean of guts, blood and any other pony remains long ago, he remembered what happened there. He asked, "S-so Colgate, what do yo want to talk about?"

Colgate replied, "Well now that Amethyst is out of town, I think we need to take care of a little problem."

Pearly asked, "We? A little problem?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, we have a little problem to take care of." She became agitated as she continued, "That little rat Cheerilee has quit teaching the foals about the importance of proper oral hygiene AND she showed up on Monday with seven cavities and two rotted teeth." Her agitation turned into laughter, "And now she MUST be punished!"

Pearly gasped, "But Colgate, isn't that illegal? If we were to get caught we'd get executed."

Colgate laughed, "It's only illegal if we get caught!"

He sighed, "Ok, how are we going to do it without your equipment?"

Colgate headed over to a corner that had a large stone extension to the wall, or so it seemed. Colgate used her magic and despite it being extremely heavy, she lifted it out of the way to reveal a trap door. She opened it, lit up her horn and headed down the stairs. When they got down there Pearly was shocked to see that Colgate had somehow managed to store all her old equipment with Luna never discovering it. He asked, "Colgate, how did you manage to store all of this without Luna ever finding it? I thought she took all of it away from you."

Colgate replied, "She took away what was in sight. Remember Pearly, I have always thought three or four steps ahead of everypony else so once I discovered this sub-basement, I stored plenty of equipment down here."

Pearly asked, "Does Amethyst know about this?"

Colgate replied, "No. Other than me, you are the only pony who knows about this and if you know what is good for you, it will stay that way."

Pearly knew that Colgate meant business so he swore to keep it secret. Colgate began to look around and in an almost dreamy voice she said, "Oh my chains, my whips, my sedatives, my drills, my needles, my saws and everything else! I've missed all of you so much!"

Pearly felt a bit unnerved that Colgate was talking to her torture equipment more like they were another pony but realized that the old Colgate was back and would have to deal with the turbulence that came with her. He sighed, "So where are we going to do this and how are we going to pull this off?"

Colgate replied, "Well, once all the lights are off in town we are going to sneak over to Cheerilee's where I will give her a powerful sedative." She pointed towards a body bag and continued, "We will put her in that and take her to the Castle of the Two Sisters. Once we get there, we will haul her to the bottom most bowels of that place where Amethyst and I killed Donut Joe and torture her to death." She began to become more giddy as she continued, "Then we will feast on her corpse! I can't wait! This is going to be so exciting!"

Pearly sighed, "Colgate, are you completely sure you want to do this? Remember, if we get caught we'll both get put to death."

Colgate replied, "Look Pearly, like I said before, as long as we don't get caught everything will be fine and besides, I can't let her get away with not teaching the foals about proper oral hygiene."

Pearly was really hoping that maybe, just maybe he could change his boss's mind but eventually he realized that it wasn't going to happen. All he could do was hope that they didn't get caught or cause any suspicions among the locals.

One Final Lesson

Night had fallen on Ponyville and Colgate was down in the sub-basement deciding on what she was going to take to punish Cheerilee with. She heard a voice say, "Colgate, the last lights in town have gone off."

Colgate replied, "Good. Let me get what I need and we'll get going." She said to herself, "Ok, this isn't going to be a long drawn out torture given we won't have much time but I'll need a body bag for transport, I'll need my whip, I'll need some chains, I'll obviously need sedatives and I'll need my knives," She raised her voice and continued, "And I'll need my general to help me transport some of this stuff."

Pearly headed downstairs and asked, "So what is it you want me to carry?"

She levitated some saddlebags on to him and replied, "Ok, you'll carry the needles, the knives and the body bag." She levitated those items into his bags and continued, "And I'll handle the rest."

Pearly sighed, "Alright, let's get this done."

The two headed out into the darkness on their mission. While she had been putting forth a tough as nails attitude over doing this, she was a tiny bit nervous over who might be watching them. That however was easily overpowered by her desire to punish Cheerilee for her crimes. As they approached the teacher's house Colgate said, "There it is! Let's do this."

Pearly nodded and much to Colgate's surprise, Cheerilee didn't even lock her door at night. Colgate whispered, "Well this makes life easier, that is that much less light my horn will radiate."

As they headed in, they remained as quiet as possible. Given that Cheerilee lived in a single-story home, finding her was not difficult. As they headed into her bedroom Colgate couldn't help but smile realizing that very soon her old ways would officially return. She walked over to Cheerilee, pulled out a syringe of sedatives and moved it towards her neck. She whispered, "Sweet dreams little rat!"

She rammed the syringe into Cheerilee's neck and injected it. This caused Cheerilee to wake up screaming in terror, "What? Who's in here?" She then saw Colgate and her general standing over her. She yelled, "Colgate, what are you doing in my house?"

Colgate pushed her hoof on her neck and snapped, "Punishing you for the crimes you have committed! A pony should never get away with failing to teach the foals what they MUST know to get through life!"

Very quickly the sedatives took effect as Cheerilee fell back to sleep. Colgate said, "Alright general, open the body bag so I can get her put in."

Colgate levitated her into the bag and zipped it. Colgate threw her hooves up in the air and continued, "General, you are going to have to levitate her to the forest. My horn gives off way too much light when I am levitating things."

Pearly replied, "Alright, I'll levitate her."

The two left the house and quietly shut the door. While Pearly's horn did not give off much light, they still had to avoid getting too close to anypony's house because with some ponies, even the smallest amount of unexpected light will wake them up. Once they got inside the forest Pearly sat the bag down and said, "Wow, I didn't expect her to be so heavy."

Colgate levitated the bag and replied, "Well, unicorns can't levitate heavy objects as far as Alicorns can." She looked further into the forest and continued, "Let's get going. I want to get this done and hopefully get back to the castle before anypony will know we are gone."

As they proceeded through the forest they could hear the growls of timberwolves. While this unnerved Pearly, it did not bother Colgate one bit. She knew that if they came after them that she could easily destroy them with her magic. After an hour of walking they finally arrived at the castle. Colgate said, "Alright Pearly, here is the castle where that torture chamber is."

He nodded and followed Colgate across the bridge and into the old structure. They headed to the center until they found the entrance of a passage way. Colgate ordered, "Pearly, be careful. This passageway has multiple traps and if you were to even brush against the wall, you could either get cut in half or have arrows fired at you."

He nodded again and they continued their way down to the bottom. Forty minutes later they arrived in a room illuminated with a dim yellow aura. Colgate looked around and saw the decayed remains of Donut Joe. She walked over to his remains and kicked them, "Hey donut boy, miss me?"

Pearly asked, "I take it that is the one that you and Amethyst killed last time?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, it is." She looked around and saw two sets of hoof cuffs attached to the wall. She continued, "Bring her over here and help me secure her."

Pearly did as ordered and they got to work on Cheerilee. Once they were finished she had her legs stretched out to where it looked like she made an X. Once she began to come to she slurred, "Ugh, where am I."

Colgate and Pearly walked out in front of her. Colgate laughed, "You are in what shall be your final resting place."

Cheerilee began yelling, "Help, help! Somepony help me!"

Colgate smacked her and yelled, "Look bitch, nopony can hear you here and it's not like anypony is going to care you're gone to start with."

She noticed that it was Colgate who had captured her and secured her to the wall. She yelled, "Why Colgate? I know you're mad but it's no reason to do this!"

Colgate pulled out her whip and laughed, "Oh but it is! You promised me two years ago that you would teach those little rats in your school about how important it is to take care of their teeth and to top it off, you come into my office with seven cavities, two rotten teeth and a breath that would make a maggot puke!"

Cheerilee began to struggle, "You'll never get away with this! You'll get caught and Luna will punish you!"

Colgate began to whip Cheerilee violently, causing her to cry out in pain. Colgate screamed, "The only pony who punishes anypony else is ME!"

She continued to whip Cheerilee for another fifteen minutes until all she heard was a soft whimper. Colgate walked up to her and smacked her. She laughed, "That's it! I abuse you like this and all I get is a pathetic little whimper? Damn you're weak!"

Cheerilee cried, "Colgate, I'm sorry! I'm sorry for not educating the foals! If I promise to teach them what I promised, will you let me go?"

Colgate grabbed her chains and began to beat Cheerilee with them. The teacher screamed in agony as her ribs were beginning to break which brought out a manic laughter from Colgate, "No I will not let you go! You know about me doing this and now you must die."

Knowing that she was on a tight schedule Colgate quit beating her and decided the time for her and Pearly to have a snack had come. She grabbed her sharpest knife and headed towards Cheerilee. She looked back at her general and asked, "Hey Pearly, you want a pony leg?"

Pearly licked his chops and replied, "Sure!"

Cheerilee began to struggle but given how well she had been secured to the wall, it did no good. Colgate began cutting her hind legs off, laughing as the screaming got louder and louder. After she got the first one cut off, she tossed it back to Pearly. To make sure she didn't bleed to death she cast a spell on Cheerilee to stop the bleeding. Once she got the other leg cut off she did the same so she could enjoy her snack without worrying about her victim bleeding to death.

As Colgate began to chow down on the leg, she had forgotten how good pony meat was. She licked her chops and laughed, "You know General, I completely forgot how good pony meat is!"

Pearly added, "I know! It is so tasty."

Cheerilee yelled, "You two are gross! How can you stand to eat pony meat?"

Colgate took what was left of Cheerilee's leg and began to beat her with it. She yelled, "Look, everypony has their own vices and with us it happens to be cannibalism."

Cheerilee screamed, "Well I still think it is gross. Hopefully you are done with this."

Colgate smacked her and yelled, "Oh your legs were just the appetizer. Now it is on to the main course."

Colgate released her from her bonds allowing her to fall to the floor. Cheerilee tried crawling away with her front hooves but would not make it far. Colgate bashed her face into the floor and snapped, "Oh, so you're going to be one of those types of rats huh?"

When she turned Cheerilee onto her back she noticed that her face was heavily bruised and that she likely had a concussion. She sighed, "Oh horsefeathers, I was hoping that she would be completely coherent when I do what I do next."

Pearly said, "Well I guess you can't win them all."

Colgate pulled a knife out and continued, "True but I'm still hungry" she began to laugh, "and now it is on to the main course!"

She began to dissect Cheerilee the way one would a frog. Despite Cheerilee having a rather nasty concussion, her screams were still very loud and the pain was agonizing. Colgate began to pull the skin back and eat the meat off of the rib cage, exposing the organs underneath. Colgate began to cry, "General, I also forgot what a truly lovely sight the inner workings of a pony are."

Pearly walked over to see what Colgate was talking about. He too had forgot what the inner workings of a pony looked like. He began to lick his chops, "So Colgate, what part do you get and what part do I get?"

Colgate bent down and ripped the rib cage open, causing Cheerilee to cry out in pain even louder. Colgate smashed the back of her head against the floor and yelled, "WOULD YOU SHUT UP ALREADY?"

Cheerilee was now drifting in and out of consciousness. Colgate yelled, "Damn it! How could I be so foolish? Now I am going to have to wait until she is a bit alert before I take my final prize."

Colgate kept one eye on Cheerilee's face and the other on what she truly desired, her heart. When she heard Cheerilee say, "You monster." she knew the time had come. She bent down and ripped the teacher's heart right out of her chest. Blood was gushing out of her mouth as she chewed up the heart and ate it.

Once she had finished the heart she pointed a wing down at the remains and said, "General, pick something before the body goes cold, but I would avoid the stomach. The acid in it would likely kill you."

Pearly nodded and began to eat her lungs. He was chomping down his part in delight. After finishing their meal Colgate had a feeling it was getting late. She said, "Well General, we had better get home. I have a feeling that dawn isn't too far away."

Pearly looked at the two and asked, "Don't you think we better find a lake to wash off in? I'm covered in a bit of blood but you are soaked and we can't have any blood stains in the castle in the event Luna were to drop by unexpectedly."

Colgate replied, "Yeah, we probably should. There is one not too far away from here. Let's get going."

As they left the chamber Colgate was happier than she had been in ages. She felt that this was her true calling and that she must do anything possible to make sure she can continue to do this. Once they reached the lake they washed themselves off and headed home.

It was nearly dawn when they arrived and the first thing Colgate did was return her equipment to it's proper place and cover the trap door with what was there before. She sighed, "I don't know about you Pearly but I'm tired. I think I'm going to get some rest."

Pearly replied, "Likewise. Cheerilee's lungs were filling enough that I should be good until lunch time."

As Colgate laid there in bed it did not even bother her that Amethyst was not there to cuddle with. She had accomplished what she wanted but soon her mind began to wander elsewhere. She began to wonder what it would take for her to be able to punish ponies without worrying about getting caught and getting executed. She realized that she would have to aim higher than simply ponies with bad teeth and bakers, she would have to start taking out higher ups.

An Unexpected Visit

Midday had arrived and Colgate woke up. She yawned and stretched her legs before she headed downstairs. As she was headed down she laughed, "Well I guess this town is going to need a new teacher, one who will teach the foals about proper oral hygiene!"

Once she got downstairs she found Pearly waiting for her in the dining hall. He asked, "So Colgate, how did you sleep last night?"

Colgate replied, "Good but there is something that we must discuss now that we have taken out Cheerilee."

Pearly asked, "What?"

Colgate began, "As you know, Luna threatened us with execution if we ever tortured or killed another pony. Since we have done this, we must make sure that does not happen."

Pearly asked, "And how are we....." He suddenly realized what was running through her mind. He continued, "do you mean we have to kill Luna?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, and every other pony in the royal family. The only way to do this is to overthrow the government in a bloody coup."

Pearly was in a state of shock. While he knew that Colgate had returned to her bloodthirsty ways, he never imagined she would put the pony that put her in the position she was in on her hit list. He asked, "Are you going to KILL Queen Luna?"

Colgate snapped, "Weren't you listening? We have to kill every royal pony still remaining." They headed outside and cast their gaze towards Canterlot. She continued, "We must kill Prince Blueblood, we must kill Luna and we must find a way to the Crystal Empire and kill Shining Armor too."

Pearly asked, "What about the others, are there any other royal ponies that might be in line to the throne if the ones ahead of them fall?"

Colgate replied, "I'm not sure. We'll have to do some research and if there are, we'll have to take them out as well."

As they were talking they saw a dark blue figure approaching from the west. When they saw it was Queen Luna they immediately became quiet. Luna landed in front of them and asked, "Colgate, Pearly, how art thou doing?"

Colgate replied, "I am doing alright your Majesty."

Pearly added, "As am I."

Luna looked around and asked, "Colgate, where art Amethyst? Is she alright?"

Colgate replied, "She left yesterday afternoon with her parents on a vacation to Saddle Arabia."

Luna remembered how Colgate had lied about Amethyst's condition in the past and was a bit suspicious. She stared right into Colgate's eyes and asked, "Colgate, where is Amethyst?"

Given that she had nothing to hide, she repeated herself and upon realizing that Colgate was indeed telling the truth she pulled back and continued, "Alright. As thou most likely knows now we are here to drop in and check on things." She pointed her hoof towards town and continued, "Take us to thy practice. We wish to inspect it to make sure that thou art not doing anything illegal."

Colgate led Luna to her practice and once they arrived, Luna began to inspect things. While she found clean equipment and nothing out of the ordinary for the most part, she did notice some horn punctures in the wall. She asked, "Colgate, what are these? Why are there horn punctures in thy wall?"

Colgate replied, "Well earlier in the week a patient showed up with seven cavities and two rotted teeth. As you know, I find it frustrating when ponies let their teeth get in that bad of shape. I just had to vent a little."

Luna sighed, "Well thou merely damaging thy wall is preferable to thou torturing other ponies." She headed towards the exit and continued, "Now we wish to inspect thy castle to make sure thou hast not committed any torture or other crimes in there."

Colgate replied, "Yes your Majesty."

As they headed to the castle Luna was feeling confident that she would likely find nothing out of the ordinary and Colgate, given that she had done everything possible to wipe out any evidence of what they did last night, was confident that Luna would not find anything.

Once they arrived at the castle Luna ordered, "Colgate, take us to thy basement."

Colgate did as ordered and Luna lit up her horn to provide some light. She looked around and noticed that like always, there was absolutely nothing down there. Like she always does, she sniffed the floor yet nothing abnormal was to be found. She headed upstairs and asked, "Colgate, may we inspect the rest of thy castle?"

Colgate replied, "Of course."

Luna went from room to room and found nothing. Once she finished she said, "We are most sorry for the inconvenience Dear Colgate, but thou knows that we do drop by from time to time to make sure thou hast not returned to thy old ways."

Colgate replied, "Your Majesty, I know you said you would drop in unexpectedly from time to time but don't worry, my blood lust is gone."

Luna gave her a smile and continued, "For quite some time we did not believe thee but given that it hast been three years since thy last incident, we believe you."

Luna headed towards the door but Colgate stopped her, "Your Majesty, would you want to have some lunch with us? I can have the chefs fix up something you'll love."

Luna replied, "That is quite alright. We had a late breakfast and we are not hungry right now."

Colgate said, "Alright, I just thought I would offer."

Luna nodded and took off for Canterlot. Once she was well out of earshot Colgate said, "Well Pearly, that went well."

Pearly asked, "Do you think she suspected anything?"

Colgate replied, "Nope. Not a single thing. This was just as mundane and ordinary as every other time she has come by." Her facial expression became more determined as she continued, "Now back to where we were, we must wipe out all the royal ponies and anypony else that would be ahead of me in line for the throne."

Pearly asked, "But Colgate, how are you going to do this? Amethyst will be back in six days and you know she would not only leave you over this but also snitch on you as well."

Colgate sighed, "That is true. To do this, I will do a bit of research and then the next five days will be basically non-stop travel, torture and murder. If we can finish this before she returns, she won't know for sure that we are responsible for all the disappearances!"

Pearly asked, "Colgate, I'm not sure if she would believe that you wouldn't have anything to do with so many deaths and disappearances under mysterious circumstances. What if she were to accuse you?"

Colgate replied, "Well, despite me loving her, she would need to be taken out."

Pearly gasped, "Seriously? You would kill the love of your life just so you could take over Equestria?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, I would. Ever since I graduated from the dental academy I have dreamed of an Equestria free of dental problems and free of sugary treats. If I can wipe out anypony that stands in my way, I can achieve that. To me, that would be the ultimate victory."

Pearly got a nervous look on his face realizing that Colgate was not joking. While he had always been loyal to her, he now knew that his boss would stop at nothing to achieve her dream. Despite being a soldier, he could tell that Colgate had absolutely no regard for anypony's life if they got in her way. Colgate saw his nervous look and continued, "Pearly, what is wrong? You act like you saw a ghost."

Pearly replied, "Well I'm just nervous about what will happen if we get caught once we go after the higher level targets."

Colgate sighed, "We'll be fine. Remember Pearly, I have always thought three or four steps ahead of everypony else so everything will be fine." She headed towards her office and continued, "Ok, let's do some research. I need to know who must be wiped out other than just Luna."

Crystal Crushing

After finishing their talk they headed into Colgate's office where she fired up her computer. She was bound and determined to find out who all was ahead of her. It did not take her long to find the information she was looking for. She began to read the information, "Ok, the line of succession after Luna is Prince Shining Armor, Prince Blueblood, Fancy Pants and then me." When she saw Fancy Pants in there and ahead of her she went into a rage.

"What? Fancy Pants is ahead of me!" She slammed her hoof on her desk and yelled, "That bastard isn't even royalty! Hell, he isn't even part of the government! He's just some high class snob that is close with the royal family!"

Pearly suggested, "Colgate, calm down. Like you've been saying, we'll get things taken care of."

Colgate took in a big breath and calmed down, "Very true but now I am thinking we are going to have to take care of two ponies at once."

Pearly asked, "Who is that?"

Colgate replied, "Blueblood and Fancy Pants. They are both high society ponies and they both live in Canterlot so we shall acquire them and take them to a special place up there."

Pearly asked, "Where?"

Colgate began, "Ok, when I was up there for Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding, Chrysalis used her magic to send both Cadence and Twilight into the caves under the city. However, they had to have found an exit. We will use that exit as our entrance. We can haul them down there, torture them to death and nopony will even know where to look!"

Pearly suggested, "Perhaps we should acquire Luna at the same time."

Colgate replied, "Well that will be tough given that she is usually out on patrol at night. Perhaps when she returns before dawn we can acquire her then take her down there and finish the job!"

Pearly asked, "Colgate, Queen Luna is natural born Alicorn. How are you going to pull this off?"

Colgate laughed, "The same way I took care of Celestia. I will put a horn cap on her and wrap her in enchanted chains." She paused for a minute and continued, "Well that will be the case with all of our targets. Fancy Pants, Shining Armor and Blueblood are all unicorns and of course Luna is an Alicorn."

Pearly asked, "So when do you want us to round up what we need and get started?"

Colgate replied, "Tonight. They don't check your bags on the night trains and like I said, we don't have much time to do this."

Pearly sighed, "Alright, let's gather our stuff and prepare for our trip."

Colgate nodded and headed downstairs to retrieve what they needed. She began to sort through it, "Enchanted chains, check. Horn cap, check. Whip, check. Hoof saw, check. Knives, check. Drill, check. Body bag, check." While she knew that she would not need everything she listed, she grabbed them anyway in the event she wanted to have some fun with her victims.

That afternoon Colgate was doing some research. She had heard legends that when Sombra was in power, he had a chamber deep down in one of the towers, one that still exists. As she read through the more modern history of the crystal palace, she learned of how Twilight used a certain kind of dark magic to reveal the entry way to this chamber. She shouted, "Bingo! This is where we shall take Shining Armor!" She began to giggle, "Once he is sedated, this is going to be a piece of cake."

Evening had arrived in Ponyville and Colgate and Pearly had all the necessary equipment for this trip ready. Colgate knew that the train for the Crystal Empire would be leaving before too long. She yelled, "Pearly, come on or we're going to be late. We can't afford to push this back a day and you know how I feel about being late!"

Pearly replied, "I know, you hate being late."

Colgate simply nodded and the two headed towards the train station. While Pearly did his best to maintain a normal facial expression, he was very nervous on the inside. Considering they were marching into royal ponies' castles and going after them there, he was afraid of being caught. Colgate on the other hand, maintained a neutral facial expression but inside she was full of confidence, almost to the point of being cocky.

When they arrived at the train station and bought their tickets, the conductor was giving them strange looks but despite them carrying saddlebags full of stuff, he let them on without a second thought. During the train ride, despite their car being completely empty, they remained silent knowing full well that there could be a chance that somepony may walk in on any conversation that they might have.

When they arrived in The Crystal Empire they quickly exited the train and headed into the city. Luckily for them it was so late that nopony was even out and about. When they arrived at the castle they could find no clear entrance. Pearly asked, "Colgate, where is the entrance to this place? I'm not seeing one."

Colgate whispered, "When I was here for the Equestria Games I only noticed one but I have heard there are two." She pointed up at the balcony and said, "One is straight through that balcony and the other is in the stadium."

Pearly asked, "Which one are we going to use?"

Colgate levitated Pearly up to the balcony and much to their surprise they were able to just walk right on in. Now came the problem. Colgate had never even been inside the castle, much less know it's layout. She whispered, "Ok Pearly, we're just going to have to search this place for Shining Armor and then the throne room."

The two began to walk around and the first place they headed was the upper level. Colgate figured that no monarch in their right mind would sleep in the lower level of their castle. Much to their delight they were able to find the prince's sleeping chambers in only a half an hour. The two walked in and stood over him. Colgate grabbed a syringe of powerful sedatives and snickered, "Sweet dreams little prince."

She rammed the syringe in his neck, waking him up and causing him to scream, "Owww!" He looked up and saw Colgate and Pearly standing before him. He screamed, "Guards, hel........." Before he could finish his sentence Colgate used her magic to silence him.

She snapped, "It might not be in your best interests to go shouting for your guards like that."

He began to fire energy at them but with the sedatives taking effect, they were only weak. Colgate grabbed a horn cap and placed on him. She ordered, "Tell me where your throne room is and I just might let you live."

As they left his chambers he told them the directions to the throne room. Once they arrived, he fell completely asleep. Colgate could see the throne that she needed to fire the dark magic at. Her horn began to glow purple and green and green started to seep from her eyes as she fired her energy at the throne. Quickly a shadow grew from it, revealing the staircase down into the abyss.

Colgate levitated Shining Armor as they took him down. Once they reached the bottom they saw a door. Pearly asked, "Hmm...I wonder where this leads?"

He headed towards it and Colgate yelled, "No! Don't open that thing! Let's just focus on the task at hand."

While Colgate was waiting for her newest captive to come to, she wrapped him in enchanted chains just to make completely sure Shining wasn't going anywhere. When he came to he shook his head and asked, "Ugh, where am I."

Above him he saw a blue Alicorn and a white unicorn, both with their horns lit up. Colgate laughed, "You my captive, are in what shall be your final resting place."

He began to scream again so Colgate put a black crystal they found in his mouth. All he could do was let out muffled noises as Pearly added, "Listen, we can't have you making any noises. It would not be in our best interests."

Shining attempted to spit the crystal out but Pearly's magic would hold it in place. Colgate began to dig through her saddle bag and said, "Hmmm....where shall we start." She ordered, "Pearly, nopony can hear him down here anyway so release the crystal."

Pearly released the crystal and Shining began to call out for help again. Colgate slammed his head into the floor, giving him a concussion. All he could do was moan which made Colgate happier. She got out her drill, pried the prince's mouth open and laughed, "Now where shall we start!"

She used her X-ray spell to see if he had any cavities and he did indeed have one. She laughed, "Well Pearly, it looks like our little prince here doesn't take care of his teeth, and for that he must be punished!"

She turned on her drill and began to drill into the tooth with the cavity, causing Shining to cry out in agony. Pearly smacked him and yelled, "Would you just shut up!"

Colgate continued to drill all the way until she shattered his jaw. Blood was pouring out of the wound and gathering in the back of his throat, causing him to choke on it. She levitated him up, patted him on the back a few times until all the blood was cleared. She asked, "Better?"

The painful experience had made Shining a bit more coherent. Despite having a broken jaw he asked, "Why? Why are you doing this to me?"

Colgate smacked him and sneered, "Because you are in the way! You are in the way of me achieving my ultimate objective!"

Shining asked, "What objective?"

Colgate slammed her hoof down on his muzzle, breaking it. She yelled, "Taking Equestria for myself! Once I take you, Fancy Pants, Blueblood and Luna out of the picture, Equestria will be mine and I can finally create the cavity free utopia I have dreamed of for decades!"

He asked, 'It's you! You're the one who killed so many ponies so long ago!"

Colgate slugged him, knocking him back to the ground. She grabbed a needle and began to ram it into the hole she had drilled. He was screaming in agony as she rammed the needle into him. Eventually he wound up kicking Colgate, which did not sit well with her. She yelled, "So, I see you're another one of those kinds of rats! Guess what, rats like that always get extra punishment!"

She grabbed her sharpest knife and began to cut his hind legs off like she did with Cheerilee. Once she got the first leg cut off she cast a spell to stop the bleeding. She then did the same with the other leg. After they were cut off she laughed, "Well Pearly, looks like we get more pony legs!"

Shining began shouting obscenities while his captors were having their snack. Neither one of them paid much attention because the chances of his screams being heard were pretty much zero and they were enjoying their snacks way too much. Once Colgate finished her's she planted her hoof on Shining's throat and laughed, "Well now, this has been quite the night, hasn't it."

He tried to say something but as Colgate pressed down harder and harder on his throat until he began to turn blue. Pearly asked, "Colgate, you aren't going to kill him this quickly are you? Don't you want to eat his heart?"

Colgate sighed, "While I would like to, I'm not sure what time it is and we really need to find a good place to hide before dawn arrives."

Finally she lifted her hoof up and allowed Shining Armor to breathe. Colgate looked over her suffering victim and knew that while she could inflict a lot more brutal and gruesome pain upon him, she wanted to get this done. She grabbed her sharpest knife and held the prince up to her. She laughed, "Well now royal rat, it is time for us to go and it is time for you to die!"

All he could do was let out one final call for help before she slashed his throat. Blood began to pour out and just like she has in the past in situations like this, she began to suck the gushing blood out of the wound. This time though she actually wound up choking on the blood she swallowed so much at once. Pearly began to pat her on the back and asked, "Colgate, are you ok?"

After a minute of coughing her airway was cleared. She replied, "Yeah, I'm alright." She looked up and continued, "Now let's get back up to the throne room, hide this staircase and find somewhere safe to hide until tonight."

Pearly nodded and they headed upstairs. Once they arrived in the throne room they noticed it was still dark. Colgate fired some light energy at the throne causing the shadow to retreat, hiding the passage into the abyss. They found their way to the balcony where Colgate levitated Pearly and they headed to the stadium. Colgate said, "Ok, this is were we shall hide out until this evening."

Pearly asked, "What if there are pegasi visiting today? Won't they see us?"

Colgate led him into the corridors where they would not be spotted. She replied, "No, now be quiet. We have a long day ahead of us and after sunset, we head to Canterlot."

Pearly asked, "Colgate, don't you think we better look for the showers? I have quite a bit of blood on me and you are soaked in it. We can't go out in public like this and we certainly can't get on the train like this!"

Colgate replied, "Agreed. Let's get washed up and the wait until the night train to Canterlot departs."

After washing up they sat in the corridors, right next to the entrance out into the stadium waiting for darkness. While Pearly was a little bit less nervous, Colgate's confidence was much higher than before. While she knew that they still had to be careful, she was becoming more and more certain that they would be able to pull this off.

Elite Eradication

The sun had set in the Crystal Empire roughly an hour ago when Colgate and Pearly decided it was time to go. Colgate levitated her general and their equipment over to the train station where they waited for it to depart. Pearly asked, "Colgate, do they check bags up here?"

Colgate replied, "No, they do not. When it comes to the trains in Equestria, bags are never checked at night. Why I don't know but they just aren't, well for now anyway."

Pearly asked, "What do you mean 'well for now anyway?'"

Colgate saw the conductor approaching the platform and whispered, "Because once I take over, they will be."

The conductor announced, "All aboard for Canterlot."

Colgate and Pearly boarded the train and noticed that like it was with other night trips, that the train was almost empty. Despite this, like they had before, they remained silent in the event somepony were to walk in on them. A couple hours later they arrived in Canterlot, leaving them hopefully enough time to at least find the entrance into the caves.

Just as it was in the Crystal Empire, the streets in Canterlot were empty. They began to think about where the entrance would be. At first Colgate was getting frustrated when they started searching the secluded areas but could not find it. Pearly asked, "Colgate, do you think it might be on the mountainside under the city?"

Colgate replied, "It could be." She pointed down and continued, "You stay here, I'm going to fly down a bit and see if it is down there."

Pearly staid put while Colgate flew down. While she was flying she noticed a hole in the mountainside. She flew through the hole and lit up her horn. Sure enough, she had found what she was looking for. She flew up to where her general was waiting and said, "Well Pearly, I found what we are looking for but because of the location of it, we are going to have to spread taking them out to just one a night. We can't do them all at once."

Pearly asked, "Colgate, will we have enough time? Will we be able to get this done before Amethyst comes home?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, we can. Now let's go see if we can find Fancy Pants' home."

Pearly nodded and the two headed into the wealthy end of town. While neither one of them had ever seen his house before, Colgate figured that it would likely be the most extravagant given that he is the wealthiest of the noble ponies. Soon they found it and much to Colgate's delight, it actually had his cutie mark on it. Colgate whispered, "Jackpot! Let's go in and get him!"

The two entered his house and headed upstairs. The way the upper level in his house was designed it took them a while to navigate through it but once they reached his bedroom they would not be pleased with what they saw. There was not only Fancy Pants sleeping, but his wife Fleur de Lis as well. Colgate whispered, "Damn it! I forgot he was married!"

Colgate levitated two syringes of sedatives out of her saddle bag and continued, "Pearly, you inject the wife and I'll take care of him."

Pearly nodded and they rammed the syringes in their necks, injecting them with the sedative. Both woke up, "Oww!"

Fleur de Lis was the first to notice them, "Honey, help! We have intruders!"

Fancy Pants saw them and shouted, "What are you two doing in my house?"

Fancy Pants began to fire up is horn when Colgate yelled, "Get me my horn cap!"

Before Pearly could get it to her, Fancy Pants knocked Colgate back with his energy but soon after that the sedatives took effect and both he and his wife fell back asleep. Colgate levitated the horn cap onto Fancy Pants' horn so that he would not be able to discharge any more energy. Pearly noticed that they did not have one for Fleur de Lis. He asked, "Colgate, we don't have a horn cap for her. What are we going to do?"

Colgate replied, "Don't worry about her. Her magic isn't all that strong." She then realized that to get everypony to the caves, that she would have to levitate them all down there and given that she would be levitating a very heavy load, that her horn would shine extremely bright. She continued, "Pearly, you better be ready to go for a quick ride."

He asked, "What do you mean?"

Colgate replied, "To get us to the caves, I will have to levitate all of you. Chances are I will wake up some ponies but there is no other way."

Pearly nodded and they headed to the exit. As they left the house with their captives Colgate looked around and saw nopony. She flared up her horn and took off with the three. She had to hurry because with as much light as her horn was giving off, it was almost as bright as the sun. Once she reached the entrance to the caves she had to be careful as it was a rather narrow opening. Despite scraping her captives up against the sides of the opening, she was able to get them in and set them on the ground.

As they laid there unconscious Colgate was regaining her strength. While she is able to carry heavy objects without many problems, flying with them is a different story. She grabbed her enchanted chains and a rope and ordered, "Pearly, you tie the wife up while I get Fancy Pants chained up."

Pearly asked, "Why are you using the enchanted chains on him and we are only using rope on her?"

Colgate replied, "Because unlike her husband, Fleur de Lis has rather weak magic."

Pearly nodded as they got to work in securing their captives. Now all they would have to do is wait for them to come to.

Fancy Pants was the first to come to. When he woke up all he could see was darkness. He asked, "Hello? Where am I?"

This caused Colgate and Pearly to light up their horns. Colgate laughed, "Oh good, you're awake. I thought you'd died on us there for a minute."

Fancy Pants snapped, "What do you two want with me?" He looked over and saw his wife still asleep and continued, "And what have you done with my wife? Why has she not woken up yet?"

Colgate kicked him in the face and laughed, "What do I want with you?" Her voice became more stern as she continued, "You see, I am on a mission and you are in my way. You are ahead of me in line of succession for the throne and that simply can not be."

Fancy Pants asked, "Wait a minute, do you mean to tell me that those ahead of me are already dead?"

Colgate laughed, "Well Shining Armor is but Blueblood and Luna aren't, well yet anyway."

Fancy Pants asked, "What do you mean they aren't dead, yet?"

Colgate replied, "Ok, I'll let you know what is really going on. I am Colgate, the head of the Equestrian Dental Association. It has been my goal ever since I graduated from the dental academy in Manehattan to eradicate poor oral hygiene from Equestria. For a while Luna was letting me do that until I started killing bakers. Once she took that right away from me, I decided I would bide my time and now I am taking out everypony that stands in my way." She kicked him in the head and continued, "Once they're all wiped out and I'm the pony in charge, anypony with bad teeth and anypony who sells, possesses, produces or imports sweets will be executed."

Fancy Pants began yelling, "You'll never get away with this. You'll never bring down Queen Luna, she will kill you for this."

Fleur de Lis began to come to and heard her husband yelling, "Honey, what is wrong?"

Colgate planted her hoof on her throat and laughed, "I see the other rat is coming to."

With both of them coherent now, Colgate decided that the time to torture them had come. She lit up her horn much brighter so that she could see what she was doing. She decided that unlike what she had done in the past with unicorns and Alicorns, that she would go after their horns first so that they would pose no threat later on.

She decided that since she had no horn cap, that she would go after Fleur de Lis first. She looked up at her general and yelled, "Hold her down. If she is struggling to much ripping her horn out won't be easy."

He grabbed the struggling unicorn and Colgate bit down on her horn trying to rip it out. As is the case with all unicorns, her horn was extremely sensitive to pain. She was screaming in agony as Colgate continued to yank on her horn, doing everything she could to rip it out. After twenty minutes of struggling, Fleur de Lis let out a horrible scream and Colgate was flung backwards. Like she has before, Colgate began to suck on the wound, taking in as much blood as she could. Once she was finished she grabbed her horn and laughed, "Well, one down and one to go."

Fancy Pants yelled, "You may have taken her horn but you will not get my horn."

Colgate noticed that his horn was much larger around than any other horn she had ever seen so she did have her doubts but she wasn't about to let him know that. She smacked him and laughed, "Oh we'll see about that!"

Like she did with Fleur de Lis, she bit down on his horn and began to pull back. His screams were even worse than those of his wife and removing the horn did turn out to be much tougher. Finally after an hour of his screaming and Colgate's biting and pulling, she was able to rip it out, nerves and all. Despite being tired, she stood over the unicorn triumphantly, levitating his horn. She stomped on his face and laughed, "What was that about me not taking your horn?"

Fancy Pants yelled, "You'll never get away with this?"

Colgate ignored the statement and asked, "So Pearly, which one should I mark first? Unlike Shining Armor, these two need marking." She pointed her wing at Fancy Pants and laughed, "I think this one should go first." She grabbed his horn and ordered, "Pearly, hold him down. I don't want my penmanship to be messy."

He did as ordered and lowered the horn to Fancy Pants' abdomen. She began to think to herself, "What should I mark on this one?" When she finally decided she began to carve the words "ELITIST PIG" into him. Despite his struggling, her work was legible. She laughed, "Well now snobby pony, you are marked for what you really are."

He yelled, "You are a complete psycho! How you ever got in Luna's good graces is beyond me."

Colgate smacked him and laughed, "Oh we have plenty more to do." She ripped his monocle of of him and grabbed the device she used to remove Twist's eye so long ago. She began to giggle, "Oh fancy colt, I'm sure you're going to love this."

With Pearly continuing to hold him down, Colgate pressed her leg on the unicorn's forehead, holding it in place better. She moved the device to his eye, inserted it to where it was behind the eye and ripped it out. She was laughing manically as blood was pouring out of the now empty socket. She turned the eye to where it was facing it's owner. She laughed, "So Fancy Pants, can you see yourself?"

Fancy Pants yelled, "You are truly a work of evil Colgate! No pony with an ounce of common decency would do this!"

Colgate kicked him and continued, "Well Pearly, shall we just shut this one up. He is getting rather annoying."

She released him from the chains since they were no longer necessary. She grabbed her knife and like she does with most of her victims, she began to cut him open and eat the meat off of the rib cage. She became excited like she does with every other victim and she bit down and broke the rib cage open, bringing out a horrible scream of agony from Fancy Pants. There was one thing she wanted to do but she forgot to grab it. She wanted to puncture one of his lungs but did not have the device to dig food out from between a pony's teeth.

Colgate screamed, "Damn it, damn it! I forgot to grab the device I puncture lungs with!"

Pearly suggested, "Why don't you just use the end of his horn? It looks pretty sharp."

Colgate replied, "Pearly, once again you are a genius."

She picked up his horn and began to move it towards his lungs. Fancy Pants screamed, "No Colgate. You will not get away with this! Luna will execute you for sure."

Colgate began to mock him as she rammed the horn into the lung. She had to be careful though so that she would not create too big of a hole and cause it to collapse entirely as she did not want him to die a quick death. He screamed out in agony and began to become short of breath. She sat the horn down and laughed, "Well Pearly, while he is laying there slowly but surely dying, shall we make him watch us take out his precious little wife?"

Pearly laughed, "Sure!"

The two moved over to Fleur de Lis, stared down at her wondering what to do. She yelled, "You monsters! How could you be so cruel."

Colgate smacked her hard and giggled, "Us monsters? Come on now, we're sweet little angels!"

She screamed, "You......"

Before she could finish her sentence she slammed her hoof down on her muzzle, shattering it. She yelled, "Would you shut up already?"

Fleur de Lis was moaning in pain as Colgate grabbed her drill and began to drill into her upper molars, aiming for the jaw. It did not take long for her to reach her target, causing her victim to scream louder. As her blood began to drain into the back of her throat she began to choke. Unlike with Shining Armor though, she just let her lay down and continue to choke.

Colgate did not care much for the elite of Equestria, especially ones like Fleur de Lis. While she would never admit it, deep down she despised her because she was considered the most beautiful pony in Equestria. While she was choking Colgate decided she better hurry and cut her open, which is exactly what she did. Once she got her cut open she could see how quickly her heart was beating and how much trouble she was having breathing. She seemed almost mesmerized by how hard her organs were working.

"How..." *cough, cough* "how could you? Why would you?"

Colgate smacked her and screamed, "Because your husband is in the way and you are a witness so you MUST DIE! I can not have anypony stopping me from completing my mission!"

Fleur de Lis asked, "What mission?"

Colgate began to stomp on her organs and yelled, "Are you deaf you pathetic little rat? I told your husband that he is in the way and like I just said you are a witness and that just can't be!"

Colgate's stomping on her organs sent her into convulsions. Her body shook violently and her head began to sway about back and forth until Colgate heard a loud snap and saw her body go limp. She had broken her neck and died instantly. Colgate laughed, "Well now that this pathetic rat is dead, we can return to her hubby."

As they returned to Fancy Pants they noticed that the lung they punctured had collapsed entirely and his breathing had become erratic. She kicked him and asked, "So Fancy Pants, did you enjoy seeing you wife die."

He attempted to say something but all he could do was get out a few gasps of air. Colgate continued, "Well Pearly, think I should take a leg?"

Pearly replied, "Sure!"

She handed him a knife and laughed, "You know Pearly, I don't let you take part in these tortures nearly enough. How about you cut it off? I'll just be sure and cast the proper spell to prevent him from bleeding to death once you remove it."

Pearly nodded and Colgate used her magic to hold him down. He was screaming in agony as Pearly was removing the leg. Pearly was laughing in delight as he rarely got to do things like this. Once he cut the leg off and Colgate cast the proper spell, Pearly asked, "So Colgate, what do you want me to do with it? Do you want to eat it?"

Colgate replied, "Pearly, you can do whatever you want with it. You cut it off so it is your property."

Pearly began to laugh as he slammed it into Fancy Pants' face over and over. He was laughing, "Fancy Pants, why are you kicking yourself?"

Fancy Pants was yelling in anger yet could not get any actual words out. Colgate grabbed her knife and said, "Ok, it's my turn now."

Rather than cutting his leg off, she bit down and began to tear the flesh off. Despite his struggling, she continued to bite down and gnaw the meat off of his joint. Once she had ate a sufficient amount of meat she slammed her hoof down and shattered the leg near the joint. She took the leg and began to slam it down repeatedly on his working lung causing his breathing to become harder and his heart to beat faster and faster.

She laughed, "Damn it I don't have a watch or I would have measured his pulse. Oh well, I'm still getting another heart so it doesn't really matter."

Despite the state he was in, Fancy Pants was able to get out a "Nooooooo!" before she grabbed his heart with her teeth and ripped it out. There was something about his heart that she did not like though so she spit it out.

She gagged, "Ugh, what the hay is wrong with his heart? It is disgusting!"

Pearly replied, "Perhaps it is something that he eats. The super rich do wind up eating things that us normal ponies find disgusting which would lead to him tasting disgusting."

Colgate sighed, "True but the meat on his leg was just fine." She paused for a minute and continued, "Oh well, he's taken care of. Two more rats to go and I can start to achieve my ultimate goal."

Pearly asked, "So what are we going to do with the bodies?"

Colgate levitated the bodies and threw them down into one of the chasms and replied, "There Pearly, taken care of." She noticed that there was still some light shining in from the entrance. She continued, "Now we wait until it has been dark for a couple of hours and go acquire Blueblood."

Pearly asked, "Wait a minute, isn't his palace heavily guarded."

Colgate replied, "We'll just fly around it, break open a window and proceed from there. If we encounter any guards, I'll just have to fry them with my energy."

Pearly nodded and they laid down to rest while they waited for night to arrive. While Pearly's confidence was building, he was still a bit nervous. Colgate on the other hand was full of confidence. She was pretty certain that they would be able to pull this off and with only two to go, she was already envisioning herself as queen and putting law breaking ponies to death.

The Redblooded Prince

Colgate and Pearly got several hours worth of rest before waking up. When they woke up there was no light shining in from the exit so Colgate flew up to see what was going on. While it was dark, there were plenty of ponies out and about talking about the bright bluish white ball that woke a few of them up the previous night. She heard some of them talking about how they were going to stay up late that night to see if they could see it. Colgate thought to herself, "Damn it! How the hay am I going to pull this off?"

She flew back down into the caves and told Pearly, "Pearly, I think I'm going to have to do this solo tonight."

Pearly asked, "Why?"

Colgate replied, "Because a lot of ponies are out and about talking about the bluish white ball of light they saw last night and some are saying they want to stay up late to see if they see it again."

Pearly asked, "Wouldn't that mean that we would have to scrap it entirely?"

Colgate snapped, "No. Blueblood's palace is in a very secluded part of the city and if he is the only one I have to levitate, my horn will give off much less light and I can get him down here without being spotted."

Pearly was nervous about her plan. He sighed, "Well alright but you be careful. You don't want to get caught and get executed."

Pearly's questioning her was becoming frustrating to the blue Alicorn. She sighed, "Look Pearly, like I have said many times, I have always thought three or four steps ahead of everypony else so I will be fine."

Pearly asked, "So when will you be doing this?"

Colgate replied, "In a couple of hours once things have quieted down for the most part."

The next two hours seemed to drag on agonizingly slow for Colgate. Once she figured that two hours had passed, she flew up and was pleased with what she saw. With the exception of a couple ponies out stargazing and looking for the bluish-white ball, the streets were empty. She flew to the most secluded area of the city, right where Prince Blueblood's personal palace was located.

Sure enough, there were guards present but luckily for Colgate there weren't that many. As she flew around it she began to think of where his bedroom might be given his vanity. She saw a larger than normal window on the north side of the palace. She said to herself, "That has to be it."

She unlocked the window and flew in. Sure enough, in a large four post bed lay Blueblood. She laughed, "Leave it to a whiny little ass like him to have a four post bed."

She leaned over him and before she did anything else, she placed the horn cap on him. Surprisingly, this did not wake him up. What she would do next though would. She rammed a syringe of sedatives into his neck. When he woke up and saw her he screamed, "Who are you and what are you doing in MY bedroom?"

Colgate injected the sedatives and laughed, "Taking care of some business. Now you get some more rest and you'll find out what that business is once you wake up."

The sedatives knocked him back out quickly. She grabbed him in her aura and flew out the window with him. While the load she was carrying was not as heavy as it was last night, her horn still gave off a fair amount of light. Off in the distance she heard some ponies yell, "There it is! There's the blue light!"

When Colgate heard this, she picked up the pace and despite carrying a heavy load, she was able to get in without damaging Blueblood or scraping up against the entrance herself. When she got in she dropped Blueblood in front of Pearly and said, "Well now we wait for him to come to and then we punish him."

Pearly asked, "So what do you have planned for him?"

Colgate replied, "Plenty but like with every other unicorn, the horn must come off first."

Colgate did not feel like having to wrap him in chains and realized that removing the horn while he was sedated would be much easier. She held him in her aura, planted her foreleg on his forehead and bit down on the horn. As she bit down on it and yanked on it, he came to and was screaming in agony. Pearly yelled, "Colgate, he's coming to!"

While Colgate was thinking, "Well no shit," she knew that she couldn't stop to reply. His horn was just as hard to remove as Fancy Pants' horn was. After an hour of struggling against the struggling Blueblood, she was able to rip out his horn, nerves and all. He was screaming in agony as he began to go into convulsions. With as violently as he was shaking his head, Colgate decided against sucking the blood pouring out of his wound. She figured she would just let him wear himself out.

After fifteen minutes of shaking Blueblood finally became coherent. He looked up at his captors and like he normally would, he gagged, "Ew, common ponies have touched my royal hide!"

Colgate smacked him with his horn and laughed, "And a common pony has removed your horn too!"

He was in shock seeing Colgate standing there holding his horn. At first he thought he was hallucinating so he tried to fire energy at her but he soon realized that he was not hallucinating. He realized that the blue Alicorn that stood before him did remove his horn. He screamed, "How did you remove my horn?"

Colgate smacked him with it and laughed, "I bit it off you idiot. How else would I do it?"

This angered Blueblood causing him to try to stand up and charge at her. Colgate, being the quick thinker she was, she zapped him with a powerful bolt of energy, knocking him back down. She snapped, "Oh, so you're going to be one of those kinds of rats huh? Well we'll have to fix that!"

Once he fell back on to the ground Colgate held him down with her aura and began to bend his legs, at the knees, in unimaginably impossible ways. With each leg that she broke, he let out a horrific scream. Once she had them all broke she laughed, "Better, much better, wouldn't you say Pearly?"

Pearly replied, "Yes, much better."

Blueblood screamed, "Why are you doing this? My Aunt Luna will kill you for this!"

Colgate sternly replied, "Why am I doing this? I am doing this because I am on a mission. I have already killed Shining Armor, Fleur de Lis and Fancy Pants. Once I'm done with you I will have one more prize to take and then Equestria will be mine!"

Blueblood knew plenty about the line of succession for the throne it hit him, he knew who had abducted him. He yelled, "Colgate, how could you do this? My Aunt Luna trusted you!"

Colgate laughed, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know." She knelt over him and continued, "Now we have much more pressing matters to take care of."

He screamed in anger as Colgate grabbed his horn and began to mark him. She went into thought about what she would mark him as but then she remembered his reputation for being such a snob and how he whines all the time. She carved the words, "WHINY SNOB" into his abdomen. She laughed, "Well now, you are labeled for what you are!"

He yelled, "Ewww.....you got blood in my coat!"

Colgate smacked him and sneered, "Blood in your coat? That is the last of your problems?" She began to stomp on his face and yell, "You have much bigger things than that to worry about BlueBITCH!"

He began to yell but Colgate stuffed a crystal in his mouth. She continued, "Look, I do not want to hear you whine, complain or make any unnecessary noises in general so just shut up already."

Blueblood tried to spit the crystal out but Colgate was holding his mouth shut so all he could do was make muffled noises. Colgate decided that she would do something that would more resemble something Amethyst would do. She yelled, "Pearly, hold this crybaby down and hold that crystal in his mouth. I plan on doing something very funny!"

Pearly replied, "Alright, will do."

While Pearly took over holding the crystal in his mouth, Colgate grabbed her sharpest knife and eyed something she found very disgusting. Being a lesbian Colgate found the very sight of stallionhoods repulsive but to do this properly, she knew that it had to be done. She grabbed his stallionhood in her aura and slammed the knife down on the base of it. Despite being held down and having a crystal in his mouth, he began to go into convulsions, scream in agony and bleed profusely.

While Blueblood had a huge ego, the same could not be same of his stallionhood. Colgate held it up and laughed, "No wonder your ego is so big. You have to over-compensate in one area when you lack in another, right?"

She leisurely threw his stallionhood down into the chasm and then realized she had forgot to cast the spell to stop the bleeding. She cast the spell but Blueblood was weakened by blood loss. She knelt down, smacked him and laughed, "You know Blueblood, if you weren't ahead of me in the line of succession for the throne I'd just turn you loose and let all the mares laugh at you!"

He managed to spit the crystal out of his mouth and yelled, "Buck you Colgate!"

Colgate stomped on his face and yelled, "My my, such language. It is most unbecoming of a prince so you must be punished."

She began to plunge his horn into his lower abdomen, aiming particularly for his intestines first. She had no desire to kill him off quickly and was enjoying this way too much to end it quickly. Pearly was looking over this and asked, "So Colgate, how long are you going to do this?"

Colgate replied, "As long as I can."

Blueblood, unlike other captors, was not about to just lay down and die, sat up and spit on Colgate. This sent Colgate into a wrath worse than she had ever been in before. She pounced on the already weakened prince and began to stab him repeatedly over and over all while screaming, "You want death rat, you'll get death!"

As she struck his heart he let out one final agonizing scream but that did not stop Colgate. She continued to stab his remains over and over for another ten minutes until Pearly nudged her, "Colgate, he's dead. I don't think you need to keep stabbing."

This caused Colgate to stop stabbing and then look down at herself in frustration. She yelled, "Damn it, damn it, damn it! There's no way I can go out in public covered in blood like this!"

Pearly asked, "What are you going to do? You're covered in blood and even if you go out at night, somepony will likely see you."

Colgate replied, "Well we'll just have to make a trip to that lake in the Everfree Forest. We can get washed off, wait around for a little bit and then on the day before Amethyst is to return, we'll take care of Luna and I can be crowned as Queen."

Pearly asked, "When you say wait around for a little bit, how long is a little bit?"

Colgate replied, "Two days. Amethyst will return in three days." She levitated Blueblood's remains and threw them into the chasm as she continued, "We must head to the Everfree Forest, wait around for a couple of days, then come to Canterlot and wipe out Luna, then we head home and when Amethyst gets home, we will likely be summoned to Canterlot to announce the bad news and then be crowned queen."

Pearly asked, "So how do you plan on taking out Luna? Are you going to kill her like we have the others or will you use other methods?"

Colgate stood there and remembered how good Luna had been to her. While she knew that she had to be taken out to achieve her goal, she could not bring herself to brutally murder Luna. She said, "You know, I'm thinking we should pay the castle of the Two Sisters a visit."

Pearly asked, "Why?"

Colgate hung her head low and replied, "Pearly, I know you may find this hard to believe but I can not bring myself to slaughter Luna. I am thinking that perhaps we could find a spell there to drain the very life out of a pony. The very thoughts of Luna crying in agony is too much for me to bear."

Pearly asked, "Colgate, do you think that perhaps you should just admit what we did to Luna and beg her for forgiveness?"

Colgate snapped, "No Pearly. Luna said she would execute us if she found out we have even tortured any ponies, much less killed them. I want to wipe her out, I just want to make it clean and make it look like she just passed in her sleep."

Pearly asked, "But Colgate, I thought Alicorns were immortal! How are we going to make this look legitimate?"

Colgate replied, "After I drain her, we will turn her onto her stomach and have her face buried straight into her pillows. That way it will look legitimate and nopony will question my authority once I am crowned queen." She looked up at the exit and saw it was still dark. She continued, "Come on Pearly. Let's get to the Everfree Forest, get washed off and then go to the castle. I'm sure the library there will have spells that will allow me to drain her life force without causing her even the slightest amount of discomfort."

Pearly sighed, "Alright, let's get going while it is still dark."

Colgate levitated Pearly out of the caves and they headed north. Colgate knew that time was running short given that her wife would be returning home in three days. Like she has with each kill though, she became more and more confident while Pearly too, became more confident, realizing that perhaps Colgate can do this, that she can create the cavity free utopia she has desired for decades.

Taking Out the Top

Colgate levitated Pearly and flew out of the caves towards the Everfree Forest without being noticed. While spending time in the caves did not bother Colgate any, Pearly was quite unnerved by them. Once they got to the Everfree Forest they quickly headed down under the forest's canopy in the event that Luna was out flying around. Once they reached the lake they jumped in and began to wash themselves off.

"Brrrr....this water is cold" said Pearly

Colgate, who can tolerate cold water much more easily replied, "Oh it ain't that bad. It beats scalding hot water any day."

Pearly nodded and once they finished cleaning themselves, they headed towards the castle. As they entered a chunk of ceiling fell and nearly hit Pearly. "Colgate, are you sure this place is safe?"

Colgate replied, "Pearly, I have been in this place before and it hasn't caved in on me yet."

Colgate led the two into the library and began to look through the various sections and began to become frustrated when she couldn't find what she was looking for so she flew up to the top shelves. She continued to scan the books but much to her dismay, she simply couldn't find what she was looking for. Finally she heard a voice say, "Colgate, come check this chamber out. There might be something in there."

Colgate flew down and the two headed into the chamber where Twilight found Luna and Celestia's old journal. Colgate could tell that this was something special simply by looking at the books. She again began to look through them and before too long she found a rather thin one titled, "Life Force Spells."

She shouted, "I think I've found it!"

She levitated the book to herself and began to flip through the pages. At first the only ones she was finding were ones regarding transferring one's own energy to save another pony's life until she reached the final page. She found one final page with just one spell on draining one's energy and taking it for their own. She read it,

"This pony is full of life
Yet this pony has caused a lot of strife
The energy she has makes her strong
But that can not last for long
From her to me the energy must flow
And with this my power shall grow
Now the energy shall be mine
And all will be certainly fine."

Pearly asked, "Do you think it will work?"

Colgate replied, "I certainly hope so. Now I must focus on this to see exactly what kind of energy must be used to do this."

She stared intently at the book and her eyes began to shine white. In her mind she saw images of Celestia and Luna drawing out the life of the dark warlords in the ancient past. She noticed that the color of their auras were somewhat darker than what they normally were. She returned to normal and continued, "Well Pearly, I'm going to have to use a slightly darker version of what kind of magic I would normally use."

Pearly asked, "Colgate, I saw your eyes shine white and you seemed to go into a trance. What was that about?"

Colgate replied, "I had to focus on the book to see what kind of energy I will need to use to do this and now I know."

Pearly asked, "So what do we do now?"

Colgate replied, "We wait to leave this place until tomorrow night. We will then return to Canterlot where you will board the night train for Ponyville and I will hide out in Luna's sleeping chambers until she returns in the morning and falls asleep."

Pearly gasped, "So you're going to do this one solo? Won't this be the hardest one?"

Colgate sighed, "Pearly, this will likely be the toughest one but with all the disappearances, I guarantee you there will be many more guards than normal. It would be much easier if there is only one of us sneaking in than it would be for two of us."

Pearly asked, "How will you even get in if that is the case?"

Colgate replied, "I have been in Luna's chambers before. I know what corner of the castle it is located in and I know what the window looks like. Getting in will be easy, hiding under her bed will be easy, draining her life force shouldn't be too much of a problem but getting out unnoticed in broad daylight won't be so easy."

Pearly sighed, "Well alright, you're the one in charge so your plan is what we'll work with."

The two remained in the castle until not that night, but the following night and then decided to go. Colgate said, "Pearly, we will walk until we reach the edge of the forest and then I will have to levitate you to Canterlot. I just hope that Luna isn't flying in the area or our whole plan will go up in flames."

Pearly nodded and once they reached the edge of the forest, they took off for Canterlot. Upon arriving, the streets were deserted so Colgate was easily able to set Pearly down without being noticed. She said, "Alright Pearly, when you get back to Ponyville it should still be dark. Head to the castle and wait for me to return. Don't go outside, don't do anything that would let anypony think somepony is home, alright?"

Pearly replied, "Alright."

Colgate pointed her wing towards the train station and continued, "Ok, now go. I need to go find Luna's chambers and wait for her."

Pearly headed to the train station while Luna began to fly over the palace. Just as she expected, the number of guards patrolling the premises was several times the number that were normally present. She flew around to the back side of the castle, the side facing the mountainside and began to search for the right entrance. Soon she found a window with a crescent moon on it.

She whispered, "Jackpot! Now I go in and wait for her. It won't be long until I shall be Queen Colgate and my dream can begin to be fulfilled!"

She unlocked the window and crawled in. It felt kind of odd to be sneaking into the queen's sleeping chambers but to her it was a good kind of odd. She immediately crawled under Luna's bed and waited for her return. So many thoughts were running through her mind at this point. While a few were of how good Luna had been to her, most were of the screams and cries from the disobedient ponies she would soon be able to punish for breaking her laws.

Several hours had passed and Colgate noticed that dawn had arrived. She knew that before heading up to get her rest that Luna would likely have a good sized breakfast. The wait seemed to be excruciatingly long for her but finally she heard hoof steps approaching the room and saw the door open from under the bed. Colgate crawled as far under the bed as she could to avoid detection.

Luna yawned to herself, "Ugh, why must there be so many manticores harassing the populous some nights? Dealing with them makes us most tired."

Luna laid down and it was not long until she fell asleep. Despite being a dentist, Colgate also knew some about a pony's sleep patterns. She knew that she could not get up right away. She knew that she would have to wait an hour or so until Luna had fallen into a deep sleep.

Once Colgate figured that an hour had passed, she quietly crawled out from the bed and stood over the slumbering queen. While Colgate did have an extreme desire to wipe her out and start creating her cavity free utopia, one small part of her almost wanted to abandon this. One small part of her simply wanted to go into hiding, seek exile in some other land or even admit her wrongs to Luna and beg for mercy. The more she thought about how unpleasant those situations would be though, the more her desire to finish this became.

She stepped forward and reluctantly, she lit up her horn and thought to herself, "I'm sorry Luna, but I have to fulfill my dreams."

She leaned over to where the tip of her horn was touching the tip of Luna's. She whispered,

As soon as she said this the energy transfer began. During the transfer though, Luna woke up. Luna saw her and asked, "Colgate, what art thou doing in our chambers?"

Colgate replied, "Queen Luna, I must admit some crimes to you."

As the transfer continued Luna began to feel weaker. She asked, "Crimes? What crimes hast thou committed?"

Colgate replied, "Queen Luna, here lately patients have been coming in with cavities and one in particular had extremely bad teeth. I decided that I could not allow that to happen anymore so I tortured and killed her."

Luna tried to sit up. She yelled, "Thou didst what? Dost thou not know what the punishment for that is?"

Colgate tried to replied but Luna interrupted, "Colgate, for this we must execute thee. Thou hast broken thy promise to us!" She tried to raise her voice and continued, "Colgate, thou makes us sick. Thou hast violated our trust. We thought thou had changed but thou art still the same evil, bloodthirsty pony thou hast always been!"

When Luna referred to Colgate as evil, she became very angry so she began to put more power into the transfer. She laughed, "You know what Luna, Cheerilee ain't the only one I killed. Shining Armor, Fancy Pants, Fleur de Lis and Prince Blueblood are dead as well."

Luna knew about the order of ponies in line for the throne and immediately realized what was going on. She asked, "Colgate, thou art going to take over the government, aren't thou?"

Colgate smacked her and continued, "Yes, this must be done. Cavities, bad oral hygiene and sugary treats are a cancer to Equestria and will lead to it's downfall. I am the only pony who wishes to eradicate this cancer and save this country so this must be done."

Luna began to cry, "But Colgate, we hast been so good to thee. When we were going to banish thee to the sun we changed our mind. We know thou wishes for Equestria to be free of dental problems but please reconsider. We will even allow thee to torture ponies again and kill bakers."

Colgate sighed, "You know Luna, I wish I could believe you but I don't. You're as much as a goody-horseshoes as my wife is. You're soft on those who are a threat to this country and we can not have a softy in power anymore. We need a pony who will rule with an iron hoof if necessary and I'm the only one with the guts to do it."

Luna tried to reach up to grab Colgate but fell backwards. Colgate's aura began to glow brighter and brighter as the final life was being drained from Luna. In a couple more minutes the transfer ended and Luna's body fell limp. Colgate leaned down to listen for a pulse but none was to be found. She turned Luna onto her stomach, buried her face in her pillows and then headed out the window.

Once she flew out she headed north towards the forest before she would then circle south towards Ponyville. Her very first thoughts were of painting the soil red with the blood of those who do not care about their teeth and those who seek to destroy the teeth of others. While an extremely small part of her was sad that she had to take Luna out of the picture, the rest of her knew that if Luna had not been wiped out, that her dreams could never be realized and the cancer of poor oral hygiene would continue to plague Equestria.

Keeping the Secret Safe

The sun was high in the sky when Colgate began to approach Ponyville. She could see that there were plenty of ponies out and about so she quickly landed on the balcony and rushed in, hoping that nopony saw her. She rushed downstairs to find Pearly waiting for her. He asked, "So Colgate, how did things turn out?"

Colgate got a beaming smile on her face and boasted, "Pearly, say hello to the newest queen of Equestria, Queen Colgate!"

Pearly asked, "But you haven't even had your coronation yet, have you?"

Colgate replied, "Not yet. It will just be a matter of time before they discover Luna's lifeless corpse and presume the others dead. Once that happens, I'll get called to Canterlot and a new era will begin in Equestria, a truly wonderful era of proper oral hygiene."

Before Pearly could reply the door swung open and in rushed Amethyst and her parents. While Colgate thought she would be happy to see her, that would not be the case. Amethyst asked, "Colgate, have you heard about all the disappearances?"

Colgate asked, "What disappearances?"

Amethyst yelled, "Of Shining Armor, of Fancy Pants, of Fleur de Lis and of Prince Blueblood."

Colgate replied, "No, I haven't heard anything about it. I've been busy seeing patients and when I'm not doing that, I've been relaxing."

Golden did not believe her. She commented, "Yeah, uh huh, sure you have. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you aren't responsible for their disappearances."

Colgate giggled, "What? Innocent little me being responsible for their disappearances? You know that I would never do such a thing!"

Before they could reply there was another knock on the door. Colgate answered it and before her stood a royal guard. He said, "Colgate, we need you to come to Canterlot as soon as possible."

Colgate asked, "What happened?"

The guard replied, "I see you have company so I won't disclose any information. We just need you up there as soon as possible."

Colgate said, "Ok, give me a few hours. I have a few odds and ends to tie up."

The guard nodded and once the door was closed Amethyst screamed, "It involves Luna doesn't it? Did she go missing too?"

Colgate ordered, "Pearly, go get the other soldiers. I need to take care of something."

Pearly replied, "Alright, I'll be back shortly."

The three looked at Colgate in horror. Amethyst began to cry, "Colgate, you didn't did you?"

Golden snapped, "I bet she killed Luna."

Colgate grabbed the three in her aura and pushed them down into the basement. Once she got them down there she began to laugh, "You know Amethyst, you going on that trip with your parents was the best thing to ever happen to me!"

Golden yelled, "What, so you could kill more ponies?"

Colgate got in her face and replied, "No, so that I could do what I have to do to resume what I was doing before." She stepped back and continued, "You see, as you three know Luna prohibited me from eradicating poor oral hygiene a couple years back. For a while I was fine with that until ponies started showing up with cavities and gum diseases again." She began to laugh, "And you know something Amethyst, it was Cheerilee who drove me over the top."

She patted Golden on the shoulder and continued, "And Golden, while you and I have never liked one another, I must thank you. If it weren't for you wanting Amethyst to go on a trip and not wanting me to come along, I would never have been able to do what it took to be awaiting my coronation."

Written, who has been quiet for most of the time asked, "Coronation? Coronation for what?"

Colgate laughed, "For my coronation as queen of Equestria. There is a reason I killed those that I did. They were ahead of me in line for the throne and that could no longer be. For me to wipe out poor oral hygiene I had to wipe all of them out."

Golden screamed, "Well you'll never get the chance. We'll expose you and the ponies of Equestria won't stand for it! They'll call for your execution!"

Colgate smacked her and laughed, "And that is why you three must die."

Amethyst began to cry uncontrollably, "Colgate, how could you? I thought you loved me more than anything!"

Colgate smacked her and laughed, "For a long while I did but when you asked for that divorce I knew that you were nothing more than a disloyal rat."

Amethyst cried, "So your love hasn't been real for the past two years?"

Colgate laughed, "Bravo! We have a real prize pupil here!" She calmed down and continued, "No, it hasn't. My love hasn't been real and ever since you betrayed me and went to Luna over me going to kill the Cakes, this marriage has been nothing more than a sham." She got in her face and continued, "Remember when Luna asked me if torturing ponies and spilling blood was my true love? I will admit, that is my true love! There is nothing I love more than torturing and killing ponies. Once you three are out of the picture and I am crowned queen, my love will be taken to a whole new level!"

Before any of them could reply, Pearly returned with the rest of the soldiers. He asked, "Colgate, what do you want us to do?"

Colgate replied, "I need you to restrain a couple of them while I am working on the others." Colgate grabbed something out of her saddlebag and continued, "Oh I almost forgot!" She grabbed a horn cap and placed it on Amethyst. She continued, "I can't believe I almost forgot to prevent you from causing me any problems."

Amethyst yelled, "Buck you Colgate."

Colgate sighed, "Whatever Amethyst."

While they were restraining Colgate's prisoners Colgate moved that heavy stone in the corner of the room and headed into the sub-basement. When she began to bring up all of her torture equipment Amethyst was in shock. She asked, "Colgate, how did you keep all of this stuff? How did Luna never discover it."

Colgate laughed, "Remember honey, I have always thought three or four steps ahead of everypony else so hiding it from her was beyond easy."

Golden snapped, "Oh and what are you going to do next, cut us all up?"

Colgate ignored her question and walked over to Written Script. She said, "You know Written, you have never treated me like dirt and you supported Amethyst when she married me so I shall make your passing rather quick and painless."

He shouted, "I don't support you now! If we get free I'll expose you to all!"

Colgate simply ignored him and placed the tip of her horn against his. She recited,

"This pony is full of life
Yet this pony has caused a lot of strife
The energy he has makes him strong
But that can not last for long
From him to me the energy must flow
And with this my power shall grow
Now the energy shall be mine
And all will be certainly fine."

Given that he is only a unicorn with specific magic, he very quickly fell unconscious and collapsed to the floor. Colgate pressed her hoof up against his neck and felt for a pulse. Just like with Luna, there was none. She said, "Well now with the nice one out of the way, I can deal with the disloyal wife and the bitchy mother-in-law.

Amethyst yelled, "Demanding a divorce because I feel like you don't love me is not being disloyal."

Colgate smacked her and snapped, "Oh yes it is. It's not like I cheated on you or anything!"

Golden tried to throw a hoof at Colgate but was stopped, "You know spousal abuse is a felony in Equestria don't you? You could be banished to the sun for this."

Colgate laughed, "Ha! Who is going to banish me to the sun now? I'm at the top of the pecking order now and NOPONY will ever know about this anyway so what does it matter?"

Before either of them could say anything Amethyst began to scream out in agony as Colgate clamped down on her horn and began to rip it out. Despite having two soldiers holding her down she was still making it hard on Colgate. Finally around ten minutes later, she ripped her horn out, nerves and all. She bent down and began to suck blood out of the wound but unlike with other victims, she didn't drink all of it as she had other plans.

She knelt down to Amethyst and began to kiss her. Amethyst was trying to turn her face away but she just couldn't. Colgate decided that a fitting end to her last kiss would be a bloody one so she spit her blood into her mouth. Amethyst began choking on the blood but Colgate did hit her on her back to clear her airway. Amethyst yelled, "Eww, gross!"

Colgate laughed, "What's the matter honey, don't like your own blood? I must say that it is quite tasty, just like all of you was for all those years!" She nudged Golden and continued, "You know, back in the old days your daughter was often a very naughty girl!"

Golden snapped, "Probably no more naughty than you!"

Colgate giggled, "Who me? I've always been a perfect little angel! I've never done anything questionable or immoral and you know that!"

Colgate began to go through her equipment and found something she had not used in an extremely long time. She picked it up and headed towards Amethyst. "You know Amethyst, it has been forever since I have had any wings." She fired up her saw and continued, "But soon, I'll get to have some more!"

Pearly kicked her over onto her stomach and Colgate took her saw to Amethyst. Never in her life did Amethyst think that she would be on the receiving end of Colgate's wrath. She was screaming in agonizing pain as the blood began to fly and Colgate cut her left wing off. Colgate tossed it to Pearly and laughed, "Hey Pearly, Alicorn wings are quite tasty. Here, have one."

He asked, "What about you?"

She laughed, "You'll see."

Colgate had different plans for her other wing. Like she did with Fluttershy so long ago, she began to bite on the base of her wing, ripping the meat away and tearing at the cartilage until she was able to rip the wing out with her teeth. She laughed, "Oh Amethyst sweetie, don't you miss these days?"

Amethyst screamed, "No! I should have left you the moment you started torturing ponies!"

Colgate smacked her and replied, "Come on dear, you know you enjoyed torturing Donut Joe more than anything. Don't you remember how much fun you had severing his penis and sewing it in his mouth? Don't you remember how much fun you had ramming that spiked rod up his ass? You're no little angel Amethyst."

Golden screamed, "It doesn't matter what she did. YOU are the one who has done the most bad in this world. You are the cancer upon the entire planet."

Colgate slammed her hoof down so hard on her muzzle that she broke it. She yelled, "Shut up Golden, it isn't your turn yet." A thought ran through her mind, a thought from her past. She grabbed her saw and laughed, "Or maybe it is your turn!"

She fired up her saw and began to saw one of Golden's legs off. She was screaming in agony as the blade was cutting through her bone. Once Colgate cut it off, she cast a spell to stop the bleeding. She took the severed leg and began to club Amethyst with it. She was screaming for Colgate to stop until she found her mother's leg in her mouth.

Colgate smacked Golden and snapped, "Golden Harvest, you are just as bad as Carrot Cake was abusing your little rat like that!"

Golden yelled, "I did not abuse her. You hit her with my leg."

Colgate snickered, "That is the same sorry ass response that Carrot Cake gave when I clubbed his rats but according to Equestrian law, that is considered child abuse and now you must be punished!"

She grabbed a knife and began to cut her open like she has so many other victims over the years. Once she got her cut open she began to devour the meat underneath and then rip the rib cage open. This was one of her favorite things to do as she always loved watching the internal organs of a pony at work, especially when they were under stress.

Amethyst screamed, "Stop it Colgate stop it! You can go ahead and kill me, just don't do anything to my mom!"

Colgate smacked her several times and laughed, "Amethyst Star, you should know that even if I did kill you, your mother would have to go as well. You two know too much and that is something that simply can not be so you must pay the penalty!"

Before either one of them could say anything Colgate bent down and ripped Golden's heart out of her chest, causing one final scream from her. Colgate began to chew up the heart with a huge smile on her face but rather than swallow it, she decided she would punish her wife further for demanding a divorce so long ago so she spit the chewed up heart in Amethyst's face.

She yelled, "You monster!" She began to cry and continued, "Colgate, I know you want to create this 'cavity free utopia' but must you spill so much blood? Couldn't you have spared mom and dad and can't you spare me?"

Colgate smacked her again and in a very stern voice she replied, "No dear, I can not. The three of you know about my killing of all the ponies that have gone missing, you know I killed Luna and I can't trust you to keep your trap shut. It is goody-horseshoes like you that must be punished." She began to scream, "If Luna would have just let me do what I needed to do, none of this would have happened! She would have still been alive, that whiny nephew of her's would have still been alive, Shining Armor would still be alive and those snobs I killed would still be alive too!"

Amethyst began to sob, "What she did was in the best interest of all!"

Despite loving torture Colgate knew that she was wanted in Canterlot as soon as possible. She picked up her sharpest knife and held it to Amethyst's neck. She asked, "Any last words sweetie?"

Amethyst screamed, "I am not your sweetie!"

Colgate began to laugh as she slashed her throat. Blood began to spew everywhere and now that she was out of the picture, Colgate began to gorge herself on the warm liquid. She was moaning in delight as she continued to drink the blood. Once she had got her fill, she stood up and ordered, "Alright everypony, we need to get washed up and headed to Canterlot. We have a big day ahead of us."

They all nodded and they headed to their showers. As Colgate was washing the blood off of her, she couldn't help but feel a sense of not only elation, but satisfaction. Neither her or Golden Harvest had ever liked one another and killing her in the process of what she needed to do made it all the better. Now she had only one more thing to do before she could begin to create her cavity free utopia, the coronation.

Sadness in Canterlot

Once they finished with their showers, they gathered in the throne room. Colgate sat up on the throne with a huge smile on her face. She began, "Well guys, for a long time this throne has merely been my seat after Twilight was taken out but soon it shall be used for a monarch once again."

Pearly asked, "Colgate, I take it you are moving the capitol to Ponyville?"

Colgate replied, "Yep. Even though I will be the absolute ruler of Equestria, I will continue to run my practice. After all, why should I be a lazy rat like the prior monarchs were when I can still contribute to this nation?"

Pearly said, "Good point. You always have placed a lot of value on a hard work ethic."

Colgate stood up and began to head towards the exit. She replied, "That I have. Now we must get going. The next train for Canterlot leaves here shortly and we need to get there as soon as possible."

They followed her out the door and towards the train station. When other ponies saw her and her soldiers heading towards the train station without Amethyst they couldn't help but wonder what was going on. One of the ponies asked, "Colgate, where is Amethyst?"

Colgate ignored the pony's question and picked up her pace. Once they arrived at the train station it was rather busy which made Colgate a bit nervous, especially once many ponies began asking her about Amethyst. One pony asked, "Colgate, where is Amethyst? Usually you two are inseparable."

Colgate replied, "She went out of town with her parents and I am needed in Canterlot."

Luckily for her none of the ponies there even knew that Amethyst and her parents had returned. Once they boarded the train and it took off, Colgate's smile grew bigger. She thought to herself, "One final journey as just a regular pony! On the way back I shall be Queen Colgate, ruler of all of Equestria!"

Pearly saw this and whispered, "Colgate, don't you think you should keep the smile to a minimum? You don't want to bring any unwanted attention to us, do you?"

Colgate's facial expression changed to a more neutral one as she whispered back, "Good point general, good point."

Once the train pulled into the station Colgate and her troops headed directly to the palace where they were greeted by one of the guards. He said, "Colgate, there has been a terrible tragedy."

Colgate asked, "What happened?"

The guard replied, "Just follow me to the throne room. There is something we must discuss with you."

Colgate nodded and followed the guard to the throne room. While she didn't dare show it, she had a very strong feeling about what they were going to discuss. She believed that they were going to discuss the line of succession and knew that with everything that has happened, that she is at the top of that line.

Once they arrived in the throne room several guard ponies were present. The one who appeared to be their captain began, "Colgate, you have been brought here because a great tragedy has happened. Queen Luna is dead."

Colgate asked, "Dead? How could Queen Luna be dead? How in Equestria did that happen?"

The guard replied, "Well when we went in to check on her we had discovered that she was laying on her stomach with her face buried in her pillows. We believe that she simply flipped onto her stomach and buried her face in her sleep and suffocated."

Colgate began to cry, "No! I can't believe this would happen to Luna. Why, why?"

The guard hugged her and replied, "I am sorry Colgate. I know you two were close but there are other things that have to be discussed."

Colgate asked, "What?"

The guard continued, "I am not sure if you are aware of this but there is a line of succession to the throne and you happen to be in it."

Colgate asked, "Seriously, I am?"

The guard replied, "Yes, you are. After Luna, it is her nephew, Prince Blueblood. After him it is Prince Shining Armor and after him it is Fancy Pants and then you."

Colgate asked, "So I take it Blueblood is going to become king?"

The guard replied, "Well not exactly. The thing is, he, Shining Armor and Fancy Pants have all gone missing. If none of them show up after thirty days from today, you will be crowned queen."

Upon hearing this, Colgate's excitement grew more and more but she did an extremely good job of hiding it. She asked, "They all went missing at the same time? That is odd."

The guard replied, "It is odd but right now we have more pressing matters. We must prepare a funeral for Queen Luna." He hugged her and continued, "And since you were closest to her, we believe that you should officiate her funeral."

Colgate replied, "Alright. I'll admit I'm not overly good speaking in front of large crowds, especially in a situation like this, but I will do my best to provide our queen with the funeral she deserves."

Two days had passed when ponies began to convene in the royal ball room. For ages this room had held many joyous events, events such as the Gala and weddings. This day however would be different. For the first time in it's history it would host a funeral.

At the front of the room lay a midnight blue casket with a white crescent moon, containing the remains of Queen Luna. As ponies were getting seated, many were openly crying while others were sobbing quietly. In the next room Colgate was nervous. While she was already not all that good at giving public speeches, officiating a funeral of a pony that she murdered would make it all the harder.

She looked to her general and asked, "Pearly, what am I going to do if I start losing control of my emotions?"

Pearly asked, "Do you mean as in you breaking down crying or you start celebrating?"

Colgate sighed, "Crying. I know well enough that I can't start celebrating like a schoolfilly."

Pearly replied, "If you do break down crying that might actually help you. I saw how you broke down a couple days ago when the guards told you the news of her death. If you remain monotone and emotionless, that may raise suspicions that you are responsible for all the disappearances."

Colgate said, "Good point Pearly, good point."

An hour had passed when Colgate stepped up in front of the crowd. She had never been more nervous in her whole life but realized that if she can pull this off without raising any suspicions, that she will be able to handle anything.

She stood behind the podium and began,

"Citizens of Canterlot, citizens of Equestria, guests from abroad, today is an unfortunate day as we have to lay our beloved Queen Luna to rest. Her's was a long and successful life. In the ages of long, long ago she and her sister brought down the dark warlords that once ruled over the land. She is also the one who brought us the moon each and every night for many, many moons. Yes she had her battle with her sister and was banished to the moon, but upon her return she was just as loved then as she was over a thousand years ago."

Colgate began to cry, "And I knew Queen Luna on a personal level. She was a dear friend of mine and she officiated over the wedding of Amethyst Star and myself. It was also she who put me in charge of the Equestrian Dental Association and gave me the power to grant or deny dental licenses as well as choose whether to renew them or not." Her crying became harder as she continued, "But most of all, if I had a problem I needed to discuss with her she would provide me with the guidance that any wise pony would. Even if I just wanted to have a friendly chit-chat she was there for me. I know some ponies criticized her for not forging close relationships with many ponies the way her sister did, but those that she did forge close relationships with, she would always be there for them." She calmed down a bit and sniffled, "I'm sorry everypony, it is just that I was so close with her."

The room went silent before Colgate continued, "And so now we must say our final farewells to our beloved queen as she heads off into the loving hooves of Mother Faust Almighty. May she be reunited with her sister and live in peace for all eternity, away from the strife and turbulence of our world. Just know our queen that you are loved by us all and will be very much missed."

After saying her finishing words Colgate levitated Luna's casket and carried it towards the royal cemetery, followed by all of the ponies in the room. Once she arrived in the cemetery she lowered the casket into the ground and began to cover it. She began to cry again, "We're going to miss you Queen Luna. May you forever feel peace in your afterlife."

For five minutes the ponies stood around Luna's grave in silence, paying their respects before dispersing. After bowing before Luna's grave, Colgate headed back to the palace. As she was returning, she felt quite proud of herself. She felt as though she had done the best job acting and realized that since Luna's death had been ruled as suffocating herself that nopony would suspect her in the murder. Now all she had to do was wait for her coronation.

Taking Care of Business

With the funeral and burial now complete, there were other pressing matters in Canterlot and once Colgate returned to the palace, she would find out what it is. A unicorn guard said, "Colgate, now that the funeral is over, you must learn how to raise and lower the sun and moon."

Colgate asked, "Me? Why me?"

The guard replied, "Because right now you are the leader of Equestria and it is your royal duty. We have had nearly two full days of day and temperatures across the land are getting pretty high."

Colgate asked, "So where is the spell for this?"

The guard replied, "It is in the Starswirl the Bearded wing of the library. Follow me."

Colgate followed the guard and couldn't help but feel happy that he had said it was her royal duty. She thought to herself, "Yes! It is MY royal duty and shall be for all eternity!"

Once they got to the gate the guard unlocked it and they headed in. He led her to the very back where a thin blue book was located. He levitated it out and said, "Ok, this is the book. You need to memorize the spells and learn the energies that are used to move the sun and moon."

Colgate replied, "Alright, I'll get to work on this immediately. I'd like to end this extremely long day as soon as possible."

The guard said, "Good. Now I must get going. Once you think you have learned everything, go out and end this horribly long day. This much heat can't be good for the country."

Colgate nodded and began to read through the book. First she read the spell for raising the sun,

"While the night can be nice
If it doesn't end there is a hefty price
For light is needed if crops are to grow
The sun is needed to keep temperatures from getting too low
Now the sun must rise
With that we will remain alive"

Next she read the spell to lower the sun,

"The light of the day is great
But with too much we may suffer a terrible fate
Too much heat will bake the land
And we don't want it all to turn to sand
Now the sun must set
Which is something none will regret."

Next up came the spell to raise the moon,

"The night is ready to appear
Yet the darkness can bring about fear
Total darkness can not be
For some light we need to see
Now the moon must rise
So we may see threats and remain alive."

Finally she read the spell to lower the moon,

"The soft light of the night is great
But it's departure can't be late
The night is ready to draw to a close
As is everypony's nightly doze
Now the moon must be dropped
As the day is something that can not be stopped."

After reading the spells she began to focus intently on the book. Her eyes began to shine white and she saw images from the distant past. She saw images of Starswirl teaching Celestia and Luna as fillies their new duties. The energies involved began to flow into Colgate, as did the strength required to perform the tasks. After finishing this she headed to the throne room where she was greeted by the same guard.

The guard asked, "So do you think you're ready to do this?"

Colgate replied, "Yes I am."

The guard said, "Follow me up to where you will do these duties."

Colgate followed him up to the high point on the castle and said, "Well here goes nothing."

First she would lower the sun.

"The light of the day is great
But with too much we may suffer a terrible fate

Colgate began to stretch vertically and despite still being high in the sky, she began to lower the sun. Despite this being her first time of doing this, it was met with no fanfare as most everypony was still mourning the loss of Queen Luna and had no clue that she was going to do it.

Despite it being a bit more challenging than she thought, she was able to do it without getting exhausted. Next she would raise the moon,

"The night is ready to appear
Yet the darkness can bring about fear

Now the moon must rise

It was not long after she got the sun set and the moon raised that temperatures began to return to normal across Equestria. She returned to the palace where she was met by both the guard she had dealt with all day and by Pearly. Pearly said, "Congratulations your Majesty, you did well."

Colgate replied, "Pearly, you don't have to address me by any special title. Just call me Colgate like you always have.

The guard interrupted, "Well she isn't the queen yet. One of the ponies ahead of her in the line of succession still has 28 days to surface and come claim the throne. For now she is merely a steward, a caretaker of the throne."

Pearly asked, "So if one of them were to return, she would have to hand over power to the pony that returned?"

The guard replied, "Yes, she would."

Colgate laughed, "Well guess what, we're not going to have to worry about that because they aren't going to surface."

The guard asked, "How do you know that?"

She smacked him and ordered, "Pearly, let's take this rat down to the dungeon. I don't like him questioning me."

Colgate grabbed the guard and took him down to the dungeon. Once she got him down there she decided she must do something to prevent him from discharging any magic. Before the guard could even react, Pearly grabbed a hold of him and Colgate bit down on his horn, trying to rip it out.

He was screaming in agony as his horn was being bit on. While he was trying to discharge enough magic to throw Colgate off, given the panicked state he was in all he was able to do was release a few sparks. After a few minutes of him struggling, Colgate was able to rip his horn out and like she so often does, she began to suck the blood out of the wound.

She laughed, "Well Pearly, now that this rat is powerless, shall I let him know why the others will not surface?"

Pearly grabbed the guard in his aura and laughed, "Sure!"

Colgate began, "Listen, this is something that not many know but in my past I have killed many, many ponies for various reasons. I have killed them for simply having bad teeth to producing, selling and transporting sugary sweets. A couple years after Luna made me the head of the EDA, she ordered me to stop working on my mission to eradicate the cancer known as poor oral hygiene."

He asked, "Wait a minute, are you responsible......?"

Colgate smacked him and laughed, "Bravo, bravo! We have a real prize pupil here!"

He gasped, "Wait a minute, did you have something to do with the death of Luna?"

Colgate held his horn to his chest and snapped, "Yes, I did. Since she would not allow me to finish what I started decades ago I decided that the only way to make Equestria a better place was if I did what I had to do to become queen."

He yelled, "Well it will never happen! I'll expose you for what you did and it will be you who winds up dying."

Pearly intensified his hold on the guard while Colgate laughed, "Oh, you really think so? You are being held in my general's aura and I am standing right in front of you. How the hay do you think you'll get out of here?"

He screamed, "Well if I won't, the other guards will notice that I am gone! They will know that you are responsible for my disappearance and expose you. The rest of the guard will think you killed Luna and expose you to the public. They won't stand for it!"

Colgate laughed, "They are not going to notice one measly guard going missing. They'll probably just think you went out of town, went AWOL or something else."

Before he could say anything else Colgate began ramming his horn into his chest over and over. His final screams of agony brought out much happiness in Colgate. She figured that now since the one pony who may have snitched on her and reveal her crimes was gone, that all she had to do was wait 28 days and then claim her rightful place on the throne.

Pearly asked, "So what do we do now?"

Colgate replied, "Well we have 28 days to wait before I can become queen so all we can do is wait. Yes it is going to be an extremely long wait and having to be away from my practice for a month will be irritating, in the end it will be worth it."

Pearly and Colgate headed back up to the throne room realizing that soon Colgate's dream will be able to be a reality. While he was quite nervous in the beginning, now he had the same confidence Colgate did that she would become the official leader of Equestria and begin a new era, an era where cavities would become a thing of the past.

Beginning of a New Era

The following 28 days were excruciatingly long for Colgate. While she became very good at handling the sun and moon, she was not overly thrilled about having to do it at precise times each day to not only regulate the varying lengths of each day and night, but also handling the sun angle as well.

Besides Colgate keeping track of how many days it was until she would be crowned queen, the public in Canterlot had also been counting down the days since the news of Luna's death, realizing that once 30 days had passed after her death, that they would have a new leader. While only a few of them knew of the line of succession, they couldn't help but wonder why Prince Blueblood and Fancy Pants had gone missing there in Canterlot and couldn't help but wonder what happened to Shining Armor up in the Crystal Empire.

Finally the day had arrived, the day that Colgate was set to be crowned queen. As she lowered the moon and raised the sun one last time as merely being a steward, she couldn't help but feel a great amount of satisfaction. She said to herself, "Oh look at that glorious sun! That glorious sun signifying that my day has come!"

After finishing her duties she headed to the dining hall where Pearly and her soldiers were readying themselves for breakfast. Colgate saw this and asked, "Pearly, where are the other guards? Aren't they going to join us for breakfast?"

Pearly replied, "They know what today is so they are out notifying the citizens that they are to gather below the balcony before noon."

Colgate said, "Good. It is good to know that they are getting the city ready for my coronation." She began to laugh, "Now it will just be a matter of them being ready for my new laws!"

Pearly suggested, "Colgate, I don't want to question your authority but I think you should grant everypony a month grace period."

Colgate asked, "And why should I do that?"

Pearly replied, "Because there are some areas in Equestria where news travels very slowly and they may not even know you are in power or know about your laws regarding oral hygiene and your ban on sugary treats. It would make you look better in the eyes of Equestria if you did that."

Colgate sighed, "Alright. I know some areas are extremely remote and they may not know about it for a while so I'll grant a two month grace period. Once that is over though, anything goes."

Pearly said, "Good plan Colgate, good plan."

Several hours had passed and noon was fast approaching. Most of the city had gathered outside of the castle below the balcony. In the past when it was known that a new princess was going to be crowned or how it was before Luna was crowned queen most of the crowd was happy. This time though the crowd was full of mixed emotions. They were unsure what to think about only one of the ponies in the line of succession showing up to be crowned and they were especially concerned that everypony else on the list had gone missing.

In the throne room Colgate was readying herself. Unlike in the past where the new monarch would make sure that she looked perfect and in the case of Twilight, was dressed in an elegant gown, Colgate would head to the balcony like she would on any other day. She wanted to be presented to the crowd for what she was, a rational thinking pony who does not need special regalia to show that she is the one in charge.

As noon got closer Pearly asked, "Colgate, so how do you think they will react to you?"

Colgate replied, "Well I hope they welcome me with open hooves. I'm not sure what they'll think about me relocating the capitol and continuing to operate my practice."

Pearly sighed, "Well I'm sure you'll have a few ponies throwing a fit about you moving the capitol but you never know, some of the ponies may actually think highly of you continuing to work despite being queen." Pearly looked up at the clock and noticed that it was only a couple of minutes before noon. He continued, "Well I better go start this address and then when the time is right, you come out and you'll be declared queen."

Colgate nodded as Pearly and her other soldiers headed to the balcony. As soon as they arrived, the clock tower struck twelve and the crowd went silent. Once it finished ringing Pearly started, "Citizens of Canterlot and travelers from across the country, today we celebrate a momentous occasion. For the first time in the history of Equestria, the rules of the line of succession have to be used. It has been thirty days since the passing of Queen Luna and as the law dictates, the pony highest on the list who is here shall be crowned as our new monarch."

A pony in the crowd shouted, "Who is it? Just tell us already!"

Pearly motioned for Colgate to come to the balcony and replied, "Everypony welcome the new ruler of Equestria, Queen Colgate!"

As Colgate arrived at the edge of the balcony some ponies were cheering in delight, others were simply stomping their hooves in approval while a few were actually booing realizing that since a non-regal pony was taking over, that the laws of Equestria may change.

Colgate began her address, "Well, I'm going to let you know that I'm not very good at giving public speeches so if it is short or I stutter some, it isn't because I'm overly nervous or I don't care about you." A few ponies stomped their hooves in delight. Colgate continued, "It has been thirty days since the passing of Queen Luna and I will admit, being a steward for the past month has been a learning experience just as I know growing into the role of queen will be a learning experience as well but I do have some changes that I will be making."

The entire crowd gasped in shock. Traditions had been the same way in Equestria as long as they could remember and here suddenly is a queen that is going to alter things. One of the ponies yelled, "And what are you going to change?"

Colgate replied, "Well let me tell you a bit about myself before I go into that. Right now I own a dental practice in Ponyville and under Queen Luna, I was head of the Equestrian Dental Association, which is why I was in the line of succession. Now despite me being queen now, I shall continue to operate my practice in Ponyville. After all, just because I am royalty does not mean that I am going to quit doing what I love and stop working."

One of the ponies asked, "Your Majesty, but if you are operating your practice down there and living up here, how are you going to handle all the duties you will have?"

Colgate continued, "I have plans on how I am going to handle this. For starters, I am relocating the capitol to Ponyville."

The entire crowd began to boo. One pony yelled, "You can't do that! Canterlot has always been Equestria's capitol city."

Colgate continued, "Well not anymore. I have a practice to run and I am not about to inconvenience myself or my patients by having to commute twice a day."

A pony shouted, but what about tradition? Isn't that important to you?"

Colgate lit up her horn in anger. She continued, "Listen, I am of a completely different origin so new traditions will be established. I will not set on my flank and do nothing like the prior monarchs did, I will not eat only the finest food in Equestria, I will work and I definitely will not change my way of life to fit antiquated traditions."

When she mentioned that she was going to work, some of the ponies began to cheer while the upper class ponies began to boo. Another pony yelled, "If you are going to be working all day five days a week, who will handle court and settle disputes?"

Colgate replied, "They will have to come to court on weekends and pay court costs to pay for inconveniencing me. If that is not an option for them, then my general will handle their disputes."

Another pony asked, "What about when foreign dignitaries come to visit? Won't you have to drop what you are doing and do business with them?"

Colgate sighed, "Unfortunately yes but give it time and they'll come according to when it is convenient for me."

A pony yelled, "What about us in Canterlot? Are we even going to be relevant anymore?"

Colgate replied, "Look, each city and town in Equestria has it's own relevance and has a special place in this great country. While Canterlot will no longer be the capitol, I'm sure you'll continue to live your lives as you normally would." Colgate could hear grumbling among some of the ponies and continued, "I want all of you to know that if you have issues, feel free to contact me through the mail or if you desire travel down to Ponyville to voice your concerns to me on weekends. I hope you all have a good day but I am getting hungry so I am going to eat some lunch."

As Colgate and her soldiers headed back in Pearly said, "Uh Colgate, I'm not so sure you made the best first impression. I could see a lot of ponies giving looks of disapproval over your plans."

Colgate replied, "Well, if they cause any problems I'll deal with them like I do all the other rats."

Pearly laughed, "I take it the rivers are going to run red with the blood of problematic ponies?"

Colgate replied, "Yep. I'm going to not only reform my special army, I will have more loyal ponies trained to become part of it and once that has been done, I can begin to work on achieving my dream of creating the cavity free utopia I have dreamed of ever since I graduated from the academy so long ago."

Pearly asked, "What about the dissidents here in Canterlot? When will you start to take care of them?"

Colgate replied, "As soon as we get everything relocated to Ponyville. Besides poor oral hygiene and sugary treats, dissidents will not be tolerated. Unlike the softies who used to run this country, I'll put the troublemakers in their place." She began to snicker, "I do know one thing, we won't have to spend all that much money on food once we get everything relocated!"

Pearly laughed, "I take it we're going to be eating a lot of pony meat?"

Colgate replied, "Yep, we will be." She put her hoof around Pearly and continued, "You know general, it is truly a great time to be alive!"

Prelude

Two years have passed since Colgate and Amethyst promised Queen Luna that they would never torture anypony ever again under the grounds that if they did, that they would be executed. For quite some time, both of them were perfectly happy and their marriage was stronger than ever. For over a year, no troublesome patients came into their practice but like what happened in the past, patients began to show up with cavities and other dental problems.

Like she had ever since she graduated from the dental academy so long ago, Colgate wanted an Equestria free of cavities and other dental problems. Unlike in the past where she considered torture and death the proper way to handle this, since she was always being watched, she would hand out free toothpaste, free floss and free toothbrushes. However, no matter how much she preached proper oral hygiene, no matter how much free toothpaste or floss she handed out and no matter how many free toothbrushes she handed out, nothing changed. Ponies would still continue to show up with cavities and other dental problems. While this frustrated her greatly, the more it happened the more she began to remember the old days. The more she remembered the days of torturing ponies and feasting on their remains and the more she reminisced over those days, the more she wished for those days to return. She had only one problem, if she were to get caught reliving the old days, she would be executed.
