An Unstoppable Evil
Visions
Load Full Story"Twilight? Twilight?"
Twilight snapped back to her senses. "Huh? What?" She was thinking about that nightmare she had last night. It seemed oddly real, as if a vision.
"The apple pancakes Applejack offered to make are ready. Would you like any?" Spike asked.
"Uhhh, no thanks Spike. Not hungry." She also had a sick feeling in her stomache.
"More for me, I guess." He responded, grabbing 2 pancakes from the center of the table.
She decides to ignore it, concluding it was a nightmare. "Well, ah suppose ah'm gonna go. Ah wanted t' stop by and let ya try mah pancakes." Applejack says, walking towards the door. She bumps into Pinkie.
"Hi Applejack! I've just come to talk to Twilight! Wanna join?" She asks, and Applejack glances at the sun.
"Gotta get back to Sweet Apple Acres. Sorry Pinkie." She responds, trotting off.
Pinkie gallops in, and sits down where Twilight was. "Hi Pinkie! What brings you here?" Twilight asks, curious as to why her friend would come in. It was probably a party or something of the sort.
"I was thinking yesterday about all the villains we've fought, then I thoughtabout TirekandIthought 'Hmmwecamesoclosetoalmostbeingdefeated-"
Twilight stopped her there, unable to comprehend what she was saying. "Just, give me the short version, please." Twilight sighed. It was an inconvenience having Pinkie get excited as she was talking, because she speaks faster, therefore making her words uncomprehendable.
"Well, as I was GOING to say, before I was interrupted, have you ever thought, 'What if we meet an unstoppable evil?' I mean, think about it Twilight. We've been almost defeated more than once, so what if?"
Pinkie and Twilight both shiver, Pinkie thinking about it, and Twilight realizing Pinkie wasn't being her normal ectastic self. It was creepy.
"Speaking of that, I...I had a nightmare last night of an unstoppable force. It seemed so real though...as if it were a vision...as if it was to..." Twilight trailed off.
Pinkie nodded. "My left hoof felt itchy, meaning something scary is happening." This was the first time her Pinky Sense scared her. The pair shivered again.
"Spike! Stop turning down the air conditioning!" Twilight yells at Spike. "Geez, can't I just relax?" He groans. The heat slowly returns to the room.
"Do you think...?" This time it's Pinkie's turn to trail off.
Twilight finishes for her. "That it could happen in the near future? I...uhm...I don't know Pinkie. It's..." Twilight sighs. "It's possible, Pinkie. It's possible."
Celestia suddenly woke up, heart pounding. She gets up, and quickly trots over to her sister Luna's room and knocks. "Yes, sister?" Luna says, yawning.
"I believe I've experienced a terrible vision."
"Tell me on the balcony, where nopony is within earshot."
They trot out onto the balcony, and Celestia looks at her sister as she finishes her story. "And I woke up in a panicked state."
Luna nods. "This is most disturbing. The only thought I have is we should begin preparing immediately, and write your pupil."
Celestia levitates a pen and quill over. "Dear Twilight Sparkle..."
Twilight yawned. Last night had been a peaceful rest, with no visions or nightmares or whatever else. She found Spike awake, and upon noticing her awake, he jumps up and runs to his room. "Odd," Twilight says aloud.
He comes back with something in his hands. "Sorry, Twi. Had to get a message that Princess Celestia sent you. In the middle of the night, mind you. And I was having a good dream, too." Spike sighs and stops complaining.
Twilight levitates the scroll out of his hands, opens it, and begins to read it aloud.
"Dear Twilight Sparkle,
I have sent this letter to notify you of a strange vision I have had. Last night, even. I will describe the vision now. It was most...well, to be an honest teacher, eerie.
A darkness arises. I don't remember how it looked, so I have chosen to call it a darkness. You attempt to destroy it, as it is slowly enslaving Equestria. The Elements of Harmany don't seem to destroy it, and you 6 fall to the beast. Luna and I attempt to bring this evil down, but this doesn't happen. We are destroyed.
I awoke then. Twilight, if you have any knowledge, at all, please send it. We must prepare.
Your fellow Princess and Teacher,
Celestia."
Twilight gasps. "Spike, pull out a letter. I had a vision extremely similar. Oh sweet Celestia I hope it's not true!" She begins running around the room in a crazed frenzy. "Oh dear, this can't be happening! It can't! I'm just dreaming! This isn't happ-"
Spike slaps her. "Twilight, snap out of it! It'll be alright. Now, what do you want to send to Celestia?"
Celestia waited very impatiently, panicking on the inside. She tried to remain calm on the outside, but she couldn't fool Luna. "Sister, I know it is worrying, but it will be okay." Luna smiles reassuringly. "I trust your pupil to write back soon."
Celestia nodded, agreeing with her sister. But a little confused as to why Twilight hadn't sent a letter back yet.
And then it hit her. Not metaphorically, mind you. "Perfect timing," Celestia said, raising her eyebrows. She opened it, and like Twilight, began to read aloud, not to her dragon (she didn't have one) but her sister.
"Dear Princess Celestia,
The describing of your vision fit exactly my nightmare. It too had a darkness that nopony could defeat. I have told nopony, as I would assume you would want, except one. Pinkie Pie too had her Pinkie Sense sensing danger approach. She came to talk to me. She opened with these chilling words:
'What if we meet an unstoppable evil?' I mean, think about it Twilight. We've been almost defeated more than once, so what if?' She wasn't her normal self, either. She seemed...deflated. I think she's scared.
That's all knowledge I have so far.
Your everfaithdul pupil,
Twilight Sparkle."
Celestia closes the scroll and looks at Luna. "Luna, why are you on the ground?"
Luna looks up. "It's warm down here."

This is my first story. Sorry for the length, I plan on making it longer. I'm an inexperienced writer. Please give some criticism.
