It was a relatively typical day at Canterlot High School, and by normal, I mean by human standards, not pony standards. All three of the Dazzlings were in the nurse's office. However, none were injured. Sonata was squeezing her head into a rubber glove, Aria was using cotton swabs to clean her ears, and Adagio was busy cleaning the equipment while wearing a white lab coat and gloves.
"Why exactly are we here?" inquired Aria as she used the last of the swabs and placed it in the "clean" bin.
"Maybe you two don't care about your service to the school, but I've had enough detention for trying to take over the world. Vice Principal Luna said if we do enough odd jobs around the school and not get anyone mad we'll get out of it" responded Adagio as she dumped the "clean" cotton swabs into the "dirty" bin and replaced them.
"Forget this!" declared Aria "come on, it's almost lunch time!"
"Taco Tuesday!" added Sonata her head covered in the slowly expanding glove.
"Well I guess a break wouldn't…" said Adagio heading for the door where Aria was waiting. "Wait!" she declared heading back to the nurse's desk as Aria angrily slammed the door "I have to update these medical reports before…"
Suddenly there came a loud cheer from the hall. Aria opened the door and outside several students walk behind a very proud Rainbow Dash who was holding a basketball.
"One hundred free throws in a row!" declared Snips.
"Last one with her eyes closed!" added Snails.
"You're awesome Rainbow Dash!" Declared Scootaloo excitedly.
"Just don't get a swelled head Rainbow" Applejack warned.
"Pftt, like that would ever happen." Rainbow Dash declared as she pulled Scootaloo closer to her and signed her shirt with a pen.
"I'm the luckiest girl in the world!" declared Scootaloo.
Aria groaned as she once again slammed the door "what makes her so special?" she demanded. "She and her friends take away our magic, and the rest of this school worships her like a hero!"
"Do you think Rainbow Dash would sign my head?" asked Sonata eagerly her head still half covered by the glove. Suddenly Sonata's nose began to twitch "Ah, ah, Achoo!" she sneezed propelling the glove off and sending Sonata rocketing right into a nearby bookshelf, as she crashed the bookshelf broke and the top two shelves sent their files flying into the air.
Adagio turned quickly and saw the mess; Aria quickly pointed to Sonata. "Oh, for the love of Discord!" declared Adagio. Adagio ran to the wreck as Aria picked up a file "Sonata do you know…" Adagio began but when Sonata looked away she stopped and used the light of an ophthalmoscope to direct Sonata's attention back "how long it took me to organize those student medical records, Sonata, do you?"
"Was it longer than a taco shell Dagi?" inquired Sonata.
Suddenly Aria chuckled "get this" she declared as she read one of the files. "Big shot Rainbow Dash is scared of needles!"
"Aria no!" declared Adagio snatching Rainbow's file back. "This is Rainbow Dash's private medical record" she lectured as Aria grabbed Sonata and a few nurse's assistant uniforms. "Here I am trying to get us out of trouble, and you wanna start making more trouble. If Nurse Redheart thought we were using private information for our gain we'd be in detention until…" unfortunately she found herself alone in the nurse's office. "Well, maybe Aria will behave herself." Adagio told herself as she began picking up files "yeah when Tartarus sprouts flowers."

Soon enough the cafeteria was abuzz with a celebration for Rainbow Dash's feat, and she was relishing in it all. "Rainbow Dash!" said a student from the school newspaper "what do you have to say to young athletes who wish to be as good as you one day?"
"Aim for the stars but not the impossible!" Rainbow declared.
"Photo Finish wants the champion's picture for zee school yearbook!"
"Oh come on guys you're making too big of a deal out of this. So would you prefer like jumping or maybe with the ball on my finger?" Rainbow questioned smugly.
"That girl is gonna have trouble finding a hat big enough for that head of hers" Applejack whispered to Pinkie Pie who giggled.
"We should have a party to celebrate Rainbow Dash's awesomeness!" she suggested.
"Ya know we totally should!" said Rainbow Dash. Suddenly the cafeteria door's opened and in came Sonata and Aria wearing white medical coats. "Well look it's the Florence Frightingale twins!"
The entire cafeteria burst out laughing at Rainbow's joke. Aria smiled menacingly. "Oh, laugh it up. Nurse Assistant Sonata it seems one of our students has yet to get their vaccination!"
And just like that, the entire cafeteria was silent enough to hear a pin drop.
"Luckily today's vaccination day!" Aria announced.
Everyone looked nervous until Sonata spoke "hand out the flyers Taco Brain!" and with that, she threw many flyers for vaccination day into the air. Students looked at the flyers with nervousness; it probably didn't help that the Flyers pictured a stick figure person being painfully stabbed by a syringe.
"What are you talking about, it's not vaccination day" declared Rainbow Dash suddenly looking at a flyer and sweating nervously "is it?"
"Tell them to line up in the gym during 7th period Brainless." said Sonata "did I do well Ari?" she inquired.
"Shut up, Stupid" whispered Aria.
"That's my line Ari" responded Sonata.
Rainbow Dash could feel her heart beating faster and louder. "Hey, Pinkie Pie" Aria spoke as Rainbow Dash looked over. "The meat in your taco look's dangerously hot" Aria took out a meat thermometer "let's poke it, just to make sure."
As Rainbow saw the thermometer pierce the meat of the taco she became ghostly pale and fell over. "Rainbow fainted!" exclaimed Applejack.
"Rainbow are you okay?" inquired Pinkie.
"Huh?" Rainbow Dash asked as she came out of her daze. "Oh, uh I think I here coach Haymaker calling me, better go see what he wants, bye!" she spoke as she scurried out of the room.
Aria burst out laughing "so much for big tough Rainbow Dash! She's afraid of a little needle!" What Aria failed to notice was that a lot of the students were also looking anxious as they looked over the Flyers.
"Needle!!!!!!!!!!!!" Shouted Sonata as she quickly grabbed Aria and took off. "Run away! Evil pointy bad Ari!"
Ari quickly put her foot down as Sonata ran into the hall "Sonata you're not getting a needle! Nobody is, It's a joke remember? On Rainbow Dash?"
"Not funny Ari" responded Sonata.
Suddenly Aria picked up the sound of a door opening. "Ding, ding round two" Aria grinned as she spoke.
Rainbow Dash was sweating up a storm when she spotted the girl's restroom, she quickly ran in and splashed some cold water on her face. "Okay, Rainbow." Rainbow told herself "get a hold of yourself; you can do this, it's just a stupid needle! You've been through way worse remember that." Unfortunately, at that moment Rainbow found herself looking at one of the flyers posted on the bathroom mirror. Rainbow looked at the poor stick figure as it seemed to scream in agony. "Oh man, that's gonna be me!" She backed into a stall and could practically hear her heart bursting.
At that moment it sounded like the bathroom door opened and Aria's voice filled the air "gee Sonata we'd better sterilize these sharp needles!"
"Say they're big you moron" responded Sonata.
Rainbow Dash felt her grip on the stall walls tighten as she looked around desperately for an escape route finally finding a ventilation shaft upward from the stall with an opening.
Aria grinned as she heard Rainbow Dash crawl into the vent and soon she and Sonata were laughing though Sonata didn't quite understand why they were laughing.
Rainbow made her way through the ventilation shaft coming to a fork in the vent with an opening which quickly opened revealing Sonata (or her head specifically) with what appeared to be a syringe with a ridiculously long needle through her head "needle, brain, owie!" she screamed. Rainbow yelped and headed off in the other direction.
Meanwhile, bellow the ventilation shaft Aria grabbed the trashcan Sonata was standing on "come on, we've got work to do." After landing on the ground, Sonata removed the syringe (which was like a gag arrow in the head) and followed.

As the bell for 7th period rang Adagio came out of the nurse's office "okay" she told herself "You've sorted the files, and the medical records are updated. Now just go into the storage room and get a new bookshelf for the files and Nurse Redheart will never know" suddenly she bumped into somebody or two somebodies.
"All ready Nurse's assistant Adagio." Snips announced leaning backward with his back to Adagio.
"Yeah" agreed on Snails following his friend's lead.
At that moment both boys pulled their pants down revealing their hindquarters. "Good Windigo!" cried Adagio "cover yourselves, now" she demanded.
Suddenly Adagio heard something from the nearby payphone where Pinkie was talking "Maud, I just wanna say I love you okay? And if anything happens…"
"Ah heard them needles could poke a hole through a truck tire!" Applebloom told her friends as they walked forward.
"Owie" commented Sweetie Belle as she rubbed her arm, she was wearing all kinds of safety pads.
"You guys are such babies." Scootaloo remarked, but she was timidly fidgeting with her hands.
"Adagio!" Adagio looked and saw Applejack. "Look ah no ya'll and yer friends lost yer magic, and it's partly ma fault, and ah'm just hoping that when ah'm uh… up to bat ya'll do the right thing" and with that she began nervously munching on an apple (her twentieth since lunch).
"What in the name of Tartarus is going on?" Adagio asked as she looked over the terrified students. Suddenly Adagio found one of the flyers on the floor "vaccination day?" she inquired suddenly a thought occurred to Adagio and she crumpled up the flyer and threw it over her shoulder. "Applejack" Adagio said with a false sense of sweetness "I'm afraid there's been a little mix-up, it's not vaccination day."
"Not vaccination day?" Applejack inquired.
"Not vaccination day" Adagio repeated. "Now could you please tell everyone there's been a mistake?"
"Umm sure ah guess" responded Applejack.
"Thank you" said Adagio as she took off she added, "now if you'll excuse me I have to go kill someone!"

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was still in the vents when she heard her name called "oh, Rainbow Dash" called Aria.
Rainbow Dash peeked out of a vent opening "there she is!" said Sonata. "Don't worry Rainbow you get a lollipop afterward" she said holding up a pink lollipop and with that, they revealed a syringe with a golf club as the needle, a trashcan as the barrel, and a bike tire as the plunger. Rainbow Dash screams and tries to run but crawls out a shaft.
"Stick out your arm ya big baby!" Aria ordered.
"No way!" Rainbow screamed backing into a bench on a wall.
"Who's the big shot now huh?" asked Aria "get it? Big shot? Oh, I kill myself!"
"Sorry, Aria I call first dibs on killing you!" exclaimed an angry voice belonging to Adagio Dazzle who was angrily coming down the hall looking ready to kill. "Vaccination day? I can't leave you alone for two seconds! The entire school is in an uproar over your stupid joke!"
"Joke?" Inquired Rainbow Dash.
Suddenly there was a scream from down the hall "look at the size of that poker!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed "it's after me!" and soon a handful of students ran off.
"Get a load of this Adagio!" said Aria preparing the syringe "it'll make ya bust a gut!"
Aria poked Rainbow in the arm with the golf club needle but rather than scream Rainbow Dash looked at Aria with a death glare and began pulling her sleeves up as Aria burst out laughing. "That was real funny!" Rainbow exclaimed "so I guess it's my turn now right?" she asked gripping the golf club and removing it from the trashcan "kiss your face goodbye!"
"Wait, here use Sonata's face she doesn't need it!" begged Aria.
"Fore!" Rainbow yelled as she held up the golf club.
"Wait!" Aria quickly hid behind Adagio "quick, give her 20 whatever's of knockout stuff or something!"
"Move it or lose it Adagio!" Rainbow exclaimed.
"If I may." Adagio spoke as she took the golf club from Rainbow "as much as I'd love to see Aria hit with this repeatedly here's what's going to happen; you're going to go along with our story that this whole vaccination day thing was a paperwork error."
"And exactly why would I do that?" Rainbow Dash demanded.
"Because I think I have a much more fitting punishment than cartoon violence" responded Adagio as she began whispering in Rainbow Dash's ear who began to grin.
Suddenly Sonata came between the two and started making noises of understanding until Adagio grabbed her by the coat collar "ahhhh, not fair!" Sonata complained.
Adagio pulled Sonata to the floor "sit" she ordered. "stay!"
Adagio listened to the rest of Adagio's plan with a big smile as Aria quietly snuck away.

The final bell rang as Rainbow Dash sat outside the nurse's office reading a pamphlet entitled "your booster buddy!"
"The nurse is ready for you now Rainbow Dash" Adagio announced.
"You know this isn't a bad read" Rainbow Dash commented putting the pamphlet in her pocket.
"You know, if you do conquer your fear of needless I'm sure Nurse Redheart could knock off some of our detentions so if you could tell her…" Adagio began as Rainbow headed into the nurse's office.
"Don't push it" Rainbow commented.
"Worth a shot."
"Hey let me go!" Aria begged who was dragged to Adagio by Applejack and Sonata.
"We found her in the drama room pretending to be a stage prop Dagi!" Sonata reported.
"The nurse thanks you Aria" announced Adagio.
"Oh yeah" responded Aria "what for?"
"Why for helping Rainbow Dash conquer her fear of needless by having her whiteness the safe and easy administration of a real vaccination." As Adagio spoke, Aria glanced into the nurse's office where Rainbow Dash was looking at her through the partially open door with an evil smirk as she rubbed her hands expectantly. Meanwhile, through the door window, Aria could see the nurse loading a syringe with medicine and then flicking a rather large needle on the syringe to get rid of the drops left over.
Aria's eyes got bigger than dinner plates as she broke free of her captors. "Oh no you don't!" she exclaimed as she tried to make a run for it only to be stopped by Applejack.
"Don't worry Ari" commented Sonata "you get a lollipop afterward!"
"Mommy" Aria whispered as she was dragged into the nurse's office.
"You know Nurse Redheart" Adagio exclaimed, "maybe she could give some blood too."
Aria slowly put out her right arm "no, please, I'm too young!" she begged as the nurse prepared the syringe.
"Needle!" Sonata screamed, "Run away!" Sonata ran out of the door "oppsy" she commented as she reached back in the room and pulled out the lollipop.
"I hate needles!" Aria screamed as Rainbow Dash began laughing.
