Chapters Twilight was just a little bit lonely ever since she saw Flash Sentry. She knew that if she went back to Canterlot High, that Flash would ask her out. And if that happened, then she wouldn't be available in the pony world. She decided to ask Cadence for some advice. But, she didn't have a train ticket to get to the Crystal Empire. What is she going to do? She needs to get all of these voices in her head saying, "date Sentry and date a pony. It will work out perfect." and, "Don't date Sentry, long distance relationships never work." She was so confused. Until Spike came home with the mail.
"Hey Twilight, I got the mail and there's one from Princess Cadence."
Twilight grabbed the letter and inside was seven tickets to the Crystal Empire.
"YES!! THESE ARE EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!!"
Twilight then hugged Spike and ran off to go get Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. Spike followed her to see why she ran out like that. Twilight quickly got all of them without explaining why she needed them.
"Why did you make us all drop what we're doing, and follow you to the train station?" Asks Applejack while she's running.
"Because... um." Twilight tried to think of an excuse. "Cadence needed us."
"Oh. Why didn't ya' say so."
They got to the train station and had to wait for the train for the Crystal Empire. They waited for about one hour and the train finally showed up.
"It took long enough!" Said Pinkie Pie as she screams.
They got on the train and went to the Crystal Empire. Twilight went to the castle while the others looked around. Twilight tried to find Cadence and she just got in the shower. Twilight had to wait 30 min's for her to get out. when she came out, Twilight acted like she just came in so she wouldn't think she's stalking her. Cadence sees Twilight running down the halls.
"Oh Twilight. What a pleasant surprise."
"Cadence, I'm having a bit of trouble."
"What is it?"
"I have these voices in my head saying date Flash Sentry and a pony, and, Don't date Flash Sentry, cause' long distance relationships never work. Can you help."
"I've dealt with stuff like this before. The first voice in your head means you love Flash Sentry in the human world and the pony world. And the second voice in your head means, well, your afraid things won't work out between you two."
"Can you make it stop?"
"All I can do is force ponies to love each other. So, I don't know. Just find another stallion to get Flash Sentry off your mind."
Twilight was shocked with the answer Cadence gave her. But, if she wanted to make it stop, I guess that's how to do it. She got the others and they went to the train station. When they got on the train, Rarity asked her a question.
"Twilight. May I ask you a question dear?"
"Of course."
"Why did that take a short time?"
"Um, False alarm?"
"OK."
Twilight was relieved that Rarity didn't ask anymore than that. She didn't want any-pony to know about what she was thinking or why she was thinking it. They got to Ponyvile and by the time they did, it was almost 9:00 PM. Everyone went home and went to sleep. She had a dream that the stallion she met would be jealous of Flash Sentry and Flash Sentry would be jealous of the new stallion and they would fight. After that, she woke up, washed her face, and went back to sleep. She kept having that dream over and over again that night and barely got any sleep. In the morning, she decided to take a trip to Cloudsdale to get everything off her mind. She was walking into a gift shop when a stallion looks at her. She didn't quite mind it because every-pony looked at her because she was a princess. But he wasn't looking at her because she was a princess. When she found a gift for each of her friends, she went to the cashier to pay for it. She grabbed the bags, and left the gift shop. When she was about to leave, a stallion jumped out of a cloud, right in front of her.
"AH! Who are you!?"
"I'm Twilight Sky. I was looking over at you from a distance. And I thought, you were just so, magnificent."
"Why thank you."
"I wanted to know if you wanted to go on a date with me to the tasty treat in Canterlot."
Twilight realized why he looked at her. And she was REALLY shocked. She didn't know what to say, what to do... So, she did what any mare would say to a stallion if he asked her to go on a date. She said,
"Yes."
When she realized what she had said, she almost past out.
"Great. Remember, Tasty Treats 8:30 tonight. See you there."
Twilight went home and fell on her bed and screamed,
"A DATE!!! WHAT AM I GONNA DO?!?!?!"
Spike heard her and wondered why she was screaming.
"Um, Twi? Why are you screaming?"
"I said yes, to a stallion I don't even know!"
"Slow down. You said yes?"
"He asked me on a date, and I said yes."
"Oh... Is that it?"
"Yes."
"When's the date?"
"Tasty Treats at 8:30 tonight."
"You better be getting ready. you have a date in 3 hours."

Chapter 2: Somewhere over the Rainbow Dash
Twilight was getting ready to go to Tasty Treats, but still didn't have the right mane style. She tried putting it up, she tried moving it to the left and right, but nothing seemed to work! Then, she thought about making it longer. She made it longer and made her mane curly. She was just about to walk out the door, when somepony knocks. Twilight opens the door.
"Oh, hi Rainbow Dash. What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I forgot my saddle bag the last time I was here." Then, Rainbow Dash looks at Twilight. "Wow. You look really nice. Where are you going tonight?"
"Oh.... It's not REALLY a big deal but, a stallion asked me out."
"Really? That is so unbelievable."
After she said that, Spike kicks her.
"Ow! I mean, What's his name?"
"Twilight Sky. He asked me to go to Tasty Treats."
Rainbow Dash remembered that name. Twilight Sky was once a wonderbolt, but sabotaged them to where they had to forfeit. Rainbow Dash didn't want Twilight to be dumped or hurt, so she was going to go with her... In private.
"Wow... Sounds like a, "trustable" guy."
"Well I'm off. I hope you find your saddle bag because I cleaned last night." Said Twilight as she flies off to the train station.
"You know what, I will come back later... Bye Spike."
Rainbow Dash flies down to the train station, but the train already left by the time she got there. There was only one thing that she could do, Fly to Canterlot! When she got to Canterlot, Rainbow Dash saw Twilight Sky at Tasty Treats, and Twilight Sparkle coming out of the train. She quickly flew inside Tasty Treats with a disguise.
It had already been 30 minutes, and Rainbow Dash was getting bored... Then, Twilight has to use the Bathroom and she sees Twilight Sky putting something in Twilight food that looked like poison! She swooped over and knocked the bottle out of his hoof.
"What do you think your doing! What are you putting in her food?!"
She looks at the bottle, and it said salt.
"Is this salt?"
Twilight Sky nods his head yes in fear.
(Sigh)"OK... I will go back to my table..."
Twilight comes out from the restroom, and begins talking again.
2 hours later, the date was finally over. Rainbow Dash thought that she could finally go home and sleep. Until Twilight Sky was telling Twilight that she was the one that slapped the salt shaker out of his hooves. When Rainbow Dash heard him say that, She flew out the door like a rocket so she wouldn't be seen.
Twilight made it home OK. She began looking for Spike. But then realized that it was 12:00 AM. She got undressed and put her mane back to normal. She was so tired, she accidentally, left her shoes on.
In the morning, Spike was up cooking breakfast. Twilight woke up by the delicious smell. When she got up out of bed, She realized her shoes were still on. She took them off and went downstairs.
"Hey Spike, (yawn) what are you doing?"
"Cooking bacon and eggs. How was the date?"
"It was perfect! But, I have a feeling somepony was spying on me and Twilight Sky."
Spike remembered what Rainbow Dash said when she zoomed out the door really fast.
"Huh... Wonder who that could be..."
"Yeah I know. I was trying to figure it out all night long... In my head. So is breakfast ready?"
"Almost. Just have to make the biscuits and gravy."
When Spike was done making breakfast, he decided, since he had enough food, to invite all of Twilight's friends over. Fluttershy and Applejack came first, Then it was Pinkie pie and Rarity, and next was a very tired Rainbow Dash still in her pajamas.
"Rainbow Dash... Why are you so tired looking?" Says Twilight as she glances over at Rainbow.
"Yeah Dashie. You look exhausted." Said Pinkie as she agrees with Twilight.
"I just... (Yawn) I just, had some late night stuff to do with Tank. He wanted a... (Yawn) He was wanting me to pet him all night."
"I'm pretty sure that tortoises don't do that Darling. Actually, I'm pretty sure no animal does that."
"Well... (yawn) Tank is different. No I'm ready for some grub..." Says Rainbow Dash as she falls asleep.
Twilight picks Rainbow Dash up from the table and sets her on the couch. "Your excused."
By the time Rainbow Dash woke up, it was 5:00 PM. And the time everyone ate, was 9:00 AM.
"What happened?!"
"You fell asleep at breakfast." Says Spike as he is doing the dishes. "Why did you spy on Twilight last night?"
"I never spied on her... OK, Maybe a little... OK, through the whole thing."
"Why?! Do you not trust her enough to have her own date?!!"
"I do it's just... It's just the pony she's dating, is Twilight Sky."
"Who's that?" Says Spike as he stopped doing the dishes.
"A former Wonderbolt that caused the whole entire team to forfeit."
"So you think you will either hurt, dump, or kill Twilight?"
Rainbow nods yes.
"I know I shouldn't have spied on her, but I wanted her to be safe."
"Rainbow, You know Twilight is good at fighting."
"But what if she's poisoned! Can she fight then?"
"I may not know what me, you, or her can do then. But for right now, just stay away from Twilight date's."
"OK. I will."
Rainbow Dash started to leave when she heard Spike say...
"And don't tell Twilight about ANY of what we said here. And that you spied on her."

Chapter 3: Keeping a secret
After sleeping for 9 hours, Rainbow Dash went home. She didn't know what to think of herself after she almost ruined Twilight's date. When she got home, she went straight to her bedroom. She kept trying to cry, but just couldn't. She felt really horrible, but it was for Twilight's own protection. Even though she can protect herself. Rainbow Dash then hears a pony knocking. She opened the door, and it was Twilight Sky. She thought that he had found out that she went to their date. So she just said something casual...
"Sup, Twi Sky. What ya doing here?"
"I thought, since we're neighbors, if you could maybe, let me borrow some milk?"
"Wait, we're neighbors!?!?"
"Yep. Just got finished moving in. Now, how about that milk?"
Rainbow Dash's face is in shock as she nods yes. She goes to get a gallon of milk to bring to him.
"Here you go."
"Thanks. I'm very appreciative. Also, do you know the blue pegasus that ruined me and Twilight's date by any chance?"
"(gulps quietly) Nope."
"OK. Just asking."
Twilight Sky flies away back to his house and Rainbow Dash shuts the door.
"Phew. That was close. If I said it was me?! Imagine the trouble I'd be in right now..." (Shutters)
Rainbow Dash decides to get over on what she did, and go outside! But soon finds herself on a train to the Crystal Empire. What was she doing on the train? She was going to ask Cadence to actually make Twilight Sky a loving stallion that doesn't cheat, doesn't poison, and most certainly, doesn't hurt her feelings. She doesn't want Twilight to feel hurt if they break up. So, that's why she's on the train. When she got to the Crystal Empire, they were doing a celebration.
She thought to herself, "Why are they doing a celebration?"
She walks up there to see what the celebration is about, and Twilight was up there! They were congratulating her for being a Princess for 3 years! Rainbow was REALLY nervous when she saw Twi. She was thinking, "Go up there, and tell Cadence!" But, she was also thinking, "Don't tell Cadence, Twilight's up there!" She was both confused and nervous. She decided to go back on the train, waste more of her bits, and go home. When she got to the train station in Ponyville, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy were there. They all screamed...
"CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING A PRINCESS FOR 3 YEARS, TWILIGHT!!!"
"(sigh) Why are you guys saying that to me?"
All of them look and see it's Rainbow Dash.
"Oh. Sorry Rainbow. We thought you were Twi." Says Applejack as she blushes.
"It's OK."
Rainbow Dash walks away with her head pointing down. Rarity look and taps the others to get their attention that Rainbow Dash looks sad. They all run towards her.
"Rainbow Dash darling, why are you so sad?"
"I'm not sad, Rarity."
"Then why is your muzzle pointed towards the ground?"
"I'm disappointed in myself."
"Why? May I ask?"
"Because I ruined Twilight's date last night."
"WHAT?!?! TWILIGHT SPARKLE GOT A DATE BEFORE ME?!?!"
The others look at Rarity.
"I mean, how did you ruin her date?"
"I dressed up like a different pony to try and get Twilight Sky from doing anything wrong."
Fluttershy looks at Rainbow.
"Isn't that the pony who messed up in the wonderbolts?"
"Yes, Fluttershy. It is. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've gotta get back to my bed, and wallow."
Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy all felt bad because of why Rainbow Dash is sad. They've never saw her that sad before. Then, they hear the train stop.
"Everypony, Take ur places!"
Twilight stepped out of the train.
"CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING A PRINCESS FOR 3 YEARS, TWILIGHT!!!!"
"Awww thank you girls! Where is Rainbow Dash?"
"Um, she's back in bed, with a cold."
"Oh. I hope she feels better soon. And thank you again for saying that to me. It was really thoughtful."
"Your welcome, Princess of Friendship."
(Giggles)
Rainbow Dash went to her bed and started crying. She had never been this emotional before. But nothing hurts more than feeling guilty of another friends things, or ponies. She finally stopped crying, and went to get something to eat out of the fridge.
