Sacred Harmony

_____ BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THIS CHAPTER GOING TOO FAST I'M GOING TO DO A REWRITE TO MAKE THIS BETTER.....and not so fast ^_^;

It started with a letter. But at least a letter is better than no warning at all about the coming destruction. Most ponies had no warning what-so-ever to them it all just happened. Luckily for Twilight Sparkle that warning letter was for her from Princess Celestia.

Twilight sat in the middle of her library. A determined look on her face as she scanned the shelves with her eyes. Alright it's time. Time to show all you've got. whew! This is huge! C'mon Twilight you can do this, for the princess! For Equestria! Twilight's horn glowed a vibrant purple, squeezing her eyes as tight as she could she focused on her magic. The mare's ears pricked at the sound of rattling objects. She concentrated harder on her task. Your doing great! you'll be done by nightfall with, re-shelving day Books suddenly tumbled to the wood floor with a loud thunk! Hearing the thunk Twilight's dragon assistant, Spike, bounded down the stairs.

"Twilight what'r-" He broke off noticing the mountains of books lying here, there and everywhere. Spike rolled his eyes, "Let me guess re-shelving day."

Twilight didn't even look up from the shelves as books made their way to the spot Twilight wished for them to rest. "Yep."

Spike face-palmed. She just reorganized her library three days ago. There's no way they could have become messed up in a three day's time. Now if Pinkie Pie lived here that'd be a different story. Ah, well Twilight will be Twilight. Always being over the top organized. As Spike turned away from her Twilight asked, "Hey spike would you mind helping me with these books."

Of course she'd ask for his help. Why wouldn't she? It's not like he was about to sink his teeth into a mouth watering sapphire that is about to go bad. Nope, not at all. Pushing his well awaited treat to the back of his mind he baby purple dragon climbed a pile of dusty books that blocked the entrance to the room. Once at the top he slid on his back down the pile. His feet barley made a sound when he landed at the bottom. He held out his hands so Twilight could place a burgundy book into them. The mare levitated it with magic and dropped it in Spike's outstretched arms. Not even 10 seconds after the dragon acquired it did he release it letting it fall to the floor. Twilight spun to stare at her assistant, who stood frozen eyes staring into space. All at once he belched and a rolled up scroll with a glob of red wax closing it appeared among the green flames that shot out of his mouth. Before the scroll could hit the floor purple magic caught it and lifted it so it was about a foot from Twilight's face.

A letter? From Celestia? The mare tore off the wax with a crackle the letter unfurled revealing all it's contents. Twilight's eyes darted across the page recognizing Celestia's gorgeous handwriting.

Dear Twilight Sparkle, She read the letter, read it twice, and a third time then gasped, "Dear sweet Celestia! This is awful!" Her hooves cupped her face, several yards away spike recovered.

"What is it Twilight?" He asked. Seeing Twilight's expression told Spike it was something bad.

"Something terrible is happening in Canterlot! I Must find the others and get there!" The unicorn said throwing open the door. "Celestia needs our help!" With that bolted out the door shouting over her shoulder, "Spike your in charge!"

Spike saw her off by waving, "Bye! Oh and good luck!" After a few moments Spike jumped with joy. "Yes! She's gone!" Twilight going on a epic adventure meant he could get more than five hours of sleep without being interrupted by the sound of pacing in the main library.

Rainbow Dash ran along side her five other friends Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Twilight, and Applejack. Adrenaline surged through her body as the doom that hung in the air reached her body. And she loved it. Rainbow never imagined the day would turn so interesting so quickly she was merely hanging out with Fluttershy as she fed her stupid rabbit Angel. The stubborn creature wouldn't eat its damn lettuce. When suddenly Twilight pounded on the door alerting the two that it was adventure time!

Okay so she didn't say adventure time, she said, "Canterlot is in trouble! We have to go!" But to Rainbow Dash that meant it's time to get her game on and save Equestria "single-hoofed" for the third time.

Rainbow returning to the present skidded to a halt at the entrance she knew too well. The entrance to the main castle hall. Without letting Twilight getting the glory of opening the door the pegasus burst through the golden double doors. However to make up for the loss of busting in Twilight pulled ahead of the blue pony. Rainbow Dash was unmoved by this.

"Princess Celestia! We came as soon as possible!! I'm sorry if we're too late." Twilight hollered up at Celestia who stood at the top of the grand staircase gazing up at the stained glass windows not facing the group.

Acknowledging their presence Celestia spun around to face the beloved heroes of Equestria. "Twilight Sparkle, I'm glad your-"

Celestia was cut off by the beginings of a rant from Twilight, "Is it Discord? Discord's back isn't he? We already defeated him once! I think that's enough for one pony to handle! I-"

This time Applejack chimed in, "Twilight, two things. One: Shut up and let the princess talk. Two: Do you see it raining chocolate milk? I don't think it's Discord."

The purple unicorn glanced back at her friend. After seeing the serious look on the orange pony's face Twilight quickly gave Celestia a nervous smile, "Heehee....Sorry...Continue."

Rainbow Dash snickered. Oh Twilight. You are such and egghead. Celestia scanned the faces of everybody before starting her speech about friendship and how they must wield the Elements of Harmony again to defeat this mighty foe.She droned on and on before Rainbow decided it was her turn to talk.

"Wait a minute. Who is this pony?" Rainbow Dash stared intensely at the white alicorn hoping for a good answer from her.

"She's.......An old fillies tale from when I was young. A mare of evil and darkness, her name." Celestia paused to crane her neck toward a window with the image of a black alicorn with a red mane standing on her hind legs wit brightly colored gems circling her. "Is Ynomrah."

Ynomrah? What kind of name is that? Rainbow's brows furrowed in confusion. As soon as the pegasus just began to process what she just heard Celestia called to Rainbow and her friends. "Come now we must get the Elements of Harmony."

All the ponies followed their princess into the hall of the element. Where the Elements of Harmony are kept locked in a vault with a spell only Celestia is supposed to know. However the last time the six had to use the elements Discord had somehow gotten in to the vault and snagged them. There's no reason that this Ynomrah pony couldn't have stolen them already. Rainbow Dash lowered herself so she stood nest to Applejack. She leaned in, "Hey Applejack. Much do you wanna bet the Elements of Harmony aren't even there."

Applejack grinned mischievously, "10 bits."

Celestia trotted over to the large door that stood between them and the elements, or the beauty of winning a bet against Applejack. The alicorn stuck her horn into the little hole just big enough for her horn to fit. It glowed a bright shade of pink. The glow seemed to flow through the creases in the door. Finally in a flash of light the door vanishes revealing to all the case for the elements and inside sat the Elements of Harmony. Untouched. She'd lost....Rainbow lost a bet to Applejack. Rainbow Dash hung her head. Goodbye 10 bits. Applejack on the other hand beamed with pride, the blonde pony elbowed her pegasus friend. "Well fancy that." In other words: You owe me 10 bits

Suddenly Rainbow felt cold metal hit her skin she opened her eyes to see her element hanging around her neck. Lifting her head she noted that all her friends had their elements on. Which means it's almost time to go kick this Ynomrah's butt!! Oh Rainbow was pumped.

"Good luck." Celestia said.

"Oh we don't need luck!" Twilight mused.

Rainbow dash threw her hooves in the air. "Alright lets go get her!"

"Yeah!!" Everyone howled in agreement as they rushed to where Celestia told them in her lecture about friendship she is. Canterlot lake.
By the water of Canterlot lake a mare stood alone. Her face stoic as her horn glowed bright green. The lake water bubbled as if it was boiling.

"I think that's her." Pinkie pie whispered as she and Rainbow flopped down on their bellies behind some bushes. The others followed and mimicked them.

"Lets get her." Rainbow growled.

"On the count of three girls.

3!!" Twilight ordered.

The six ponies scrambled to get out from behind the bushes. Ynomrah with out even looking back thought, "Here they come."

Finally the six managed to come and stand before the alicorn. "Girls formation!"

All of the ponies ran to their places. Slowly they started to rise from the ground as the elements power was at work. Twilight's eyes glowed white! A flash of white light and a rainbow came spouting out from the group. The rainbow curved sharply at the top then plunged straight down hitting Ynomrah head on. Once the use of the elements was complete Rainbow Dash floated back down to earth. She slowly opened her eyes hearing her friends gasp in horror. Standing there in the same spot as before Ynomrah had a crazed grin pointed at them.

Rainbow's heart skipped a beat. "W-wha? No way." The elements didn't work? That's impossible they always work. Always The pegasus' mind spun rapidly.

"Impossible." Rarity spat.

"how is this possible?" Applejack gasped.

This is not good

At that the black alicorn starts to snicker then, bursts out laughing like a maniac. Using her magic she drug Applejack by her necklace so that she smashed her head against the pony. "Girl I created those pretty things around your neck. Did you really think they'd work on me?" Before Applejack could answer Ynomrah let her crash to the ground.

Faster than lightning Ynomrah had her face pressed against a cowering Fluttershy who whimpered. "Listen, I like you girl's courage. I'll let you run back to your petty little princess alive." Ynomrah walked back over to the water as it boiled again. "So." She spun to face them once more eyes growing green. "Run." Water spouts shot out of the water as Ynomrah shrieked, "Before I change my mind."

The water spouts tore through Cloudsdale which happened to be right above Lake Canterlot at the time. Screams of pegasus' rang in Rainbow Dash's ears as she look on in horror. Clouds gathered above the water spout holding them in place as they ripped through her home town. The weather factory exploded into flames soon the city would be in ruins. Rainbow had to do something. Extending her wings the pegasus tried to fly up to save her town but she was dragged down by Applejack who started to flee the scene with Rainbow dragging behind her.

"Sorry Rainbow. I know you want to save your town and all but we have to get out of here."

They fled all the way back to the castle where they told Celestia what happened.

"I suspected that would happen but we had to give it a try." She commented after listening to the story.

"So does that mean you have a plan B?" Twilight asked hopefully.

"Actually no." Celestia started to pace, "I have no idea what to do now."

Celestia paced talking half to herself half to Twilight for about 10 minutes when Pinkie yelled, "Discord!"

"What?" The rest cried in unison. All stared at the pink pony like she was out of her mind.

"Yeah Discord's strong. I bet he could kick Ynomrah's butt no sweat."

"Pinkie," Twilight started, "Are you crazy?"

:"I think it's a good idea actually." Fluttershy said her voice barley over a whisper. The other 4 ponies nodded in agreement. all eyes then turn to Celestia waiting for her approval.

The alicorn sighed, "I just know I'm going to regret this."
