"sweet" dreams

Twilight was in her library very late at night and was getting a little sleepy but she knew she needed to finish these spells for princess Celesitia but she also knew if she didn't get sleep she would be able to focus tomorrow so she closed her book, put it on the table and made her way to her room. As she opened the door she noticed spike was sweating in his sleep witch was unusual, but she shook it off and climbed into bed slowly drifted off to sleep.

She woke up to the smell of fire and that scared her but when she looked around her room she saw no fire and no spike so she got up and proceeded down the stairs so that she could get started on breakfast but the smell of fire was getting stronger as she walked out the door of her room and down the steps she saw spike sitting on the couch quietly crying wile holding a burning piece of fabric. With closer inspection she realized it was his bed, or what was left of it anyway.

"Spike what happened to your bed" Twilight said softly while walking closer to him.I"I...I... b..b..b..burned it with my fire breath in my sleep" he said clearing up his sniffles and turning to look at Twilight.

"Oh, is that all" she said with a smile and a chuckle. "I'll go out today and buy you a new one. ok?" she asked with a reassuring smile.

"thank you Twilight, I'll start my chores... and i'm sorry about the bed" spike said shifting his eyes away from Twilight

"Spike is there something your not telling me?" Twilight asked as she grabbed her saddle bag.

"If I told you you'd laugh" spike said starting to put some books away.

"Spike. I'd never laugh if you didn't want me to" Twilight said in a stern tone.

"Well i've been having these dreams about the mares in Pony Vill and... not the friendship kind well...kind of the opposite..."spike said trying not to tear up, until Twilight sat next to him giving a warm hug.

"It's ok spike dreams are just dreams just don't think about it. I promise that I'll talk to you about it later but there's a lot I have to do today so i have to go. Don't blow up the house while i'm gone" she said with a chuckle as she walked out the door.
