The Last Eclipse ep-3

Episode 3

Scene 1:

Whicker hears footsteps beside him and looks over to see the dark silhouette of the pony that knocked him out and shakes slightly when he sees him.

1Whicker: W-Who are you? Where are we? And why did you bring me here?

He asks, trying to break his bonds. The pony narrows his eyes and starts to slowly walk towards him into the little light there is.

2Pan: Who am I? All you need to know is that I'm Princess Luna's last child of the night and that I stay here, waiting for her return as foretold in the days of old.

He says, his face being revealed and leans down to Whicker, and when he does he starts to calm down and thinks clearly, his face becoming a mask of confusion.

3Whicker: Awaiting? What do you mean? She's been in Canterlot for over eleven years now.

The pony looks stunned and takes a few steps back, looking at the floor, his mind racing from the knowledge gifted to him by a stranger, trying to comprehend if it is true or not. After a moment, the stallion looks up and nods.

4Pan: You will take me to Princess Luna at once.

He says in a commanding voice, his eyes hard as he stares at Whicker.

5Whicker: ..... Well, it's not like I have much choice in the matter, now does it?

He says, motioning to the ropes made of vines that are tied around his ankles and looks up to him.

6Pan: .... What were you doing in my forest anyway?

7Whicker: Well, before you attacked me I was in that clearing to gather some special wax from the beehive in the center of the clearing so that I could finish some candles.

The other stallion nods and moves to a pot next to the odd book and brings something in a bag back to Whicker.

8Pan: Here

He says and hands it to him, but Whicker inspects it first and gasps in shock seeing more than enough of the wax to last him a month or more. He is then put onto a makeshift sleigh,after telling the stallion about Pastel Book, and they set off to meet Pastel Book  back at the Castle of the Two Sisters so they could all make it back to Ponyville tonight and head to Canterlot tomorrow.

Whicker tries to undo his bonds as the mystery stallion drags him through the forest, seeming not to notice his struggles as he focuses his attention ahead. After what feels like a few hours he stops and looks around, then detaches himself from the sleigh and flies into the trees.

9Whicker: H-Hey, don't just leave me!

He calls after his assailant, but his cries fall on deaf ears as he lays there. HE lays there in silence for a few moments until he hears voices from nearby.

Sage: Why did I let you lead us?! I knew if I did you'd get us lost!

Says a slightly whiney sounding male voice from nearby

Star: Maybe because you know I'd beat you into the dirt if you didn't.

Says an annoyed female voice close to the male one.

Sage: Good point.

The male voice says with an exhausted sigh.

Star: Anyway, we'll be out of the Forrest soon if we keep heading this way.

Says the female voice, her voice getting more confident as they start to move away.

Sage: Yeah right! I'm not moving another step with you until you admit we're lost and you have no clue where you're going!

At this point, Whicker is able to get his head on the side of the sleigh so that he could see, and he sees a scrawny, but tall unicorn with dark green fur with a black mane and tail.

Star: I never get lost, you Filly! I've been training in this Forrest for a while now.

He hears the female say smugly, then looks over to see a light blue Pegasus with a dark purple mane and tail.

Sage: Oh yeah, and look at where it's got us now!

Star: I told you I got this! Just trust me!

The Stallion says and tries to push passed her.

Sage: If you want to stay stranded here forever that's fine by me, but I'm going home!

Star: And I'll take you there!

She yells, sounding exasperated with him.

Sage: Oh yeah? The where are we going, what direction?

Star: This way!

She says, pointing toward where Whicker is tied up, but neither of them sees him in their anger and the male shakes his head.

Sage: Then why not use the lessons that WITCH taught you to find a way home?!

The brother said, making the sister stop in her tracks, her draw drop in the sheer audacity of it all.

Star: Who are YOU to call someone a name, you jerk?! What do you even know about Zekora anyway......

She said quietly, the mood changing drastically.

The blue mare ends up lowering her head and raises her wings, but before the stallion can defend himself she launches herself at him and pins him to the ground as she pants hard. Her eyes shake a bit, the pupils having shrug in her rage, but suddenly the leaves above them shake and the male Pegasus rushes at them.

Scene 2:

Whicker: STOP!

He cries out from the back of the sleigh, making everypony stop in surprise, and in doing so he causes the male Pegasus to fall to the ground as his staff gets tangled up in his wings. This gives the Unicorn time to get out from under the mare and teleport away.

The mare doesn't notice that the unicorn is gone as she looks at Whicker's head, then feels something behind her, seeing Whicker's assailant and on instinct punches him in the face. As soon as he hits the ground, she jumps on him and pins him to the ground by standing on his wings.

Star: Thought you'd sneak up behind me huh?!

She says, her eyes narrowing at the fellow Pegasus, which makes the male glare.

Pan: What are you doing in my Forrest?

The male asks bluntly, catching the mare off guard long enough for the stallion to get his wings free and trip up the mare, then knocks her over.

Pan: Answer me.

He says calmly, but with authority, but the mare has a defiant look on her face.

Whicker can't watch anymore, and takes a deep breath.

Whicker: Both of you stop this at once!

He cries out, getting their attentions long enough for them to calm their nerves.

Whicker: Alright, that's a start,

He says with a relieved sigh and looks between them.

Whicker: Alright, now then, both of you back away slowly and sit down so we can talk this out.

Both the Pegasus look at each other for a moment, then start backing away from each other, then sit on the ground.

Whicker: Oh yes, and before I forget, will one of you two please untie me?!

He says, mildly frustrated as he has to actually ask one of them for help instead of them untying him prior to the confrontation. The blue mare looks a little flustered and goes to untie him and helps him up.

Star: Sorry about that, but I was kind of preoccupied.

She says, looking back at the Stallion with a suspicious look caused him. The Stallion, for his part, just looks mildly annoyed by the comment but says nothing about it.

She then proceeds to untie Whicker and helps him up from the sleigh.

Star: Sorry, My name is Star Gazer. Who are you two, and why did YOU try to kill me?

She says, introducing herself and glowers at the Stallion.

Pan: I was not trying to kill you, but merely knock you out and leave you on the edge of my Forrest. No more, no less.

Star: Your Forrest? YOUR Forrest!? You're the king of Everfree now?!

She yells, starting to get pissed again, but Whicker decides to intervene.

Whicker: How about you start by telling us your name?!

He shouts out, cutting off Star mid-rant.

Pan: ........ My name.... Is Pan Everfree, the last of the Children of the Night. I am in search of our mother, Princess Luna since I have been told that she has returned, by THIS one here.

The Stallion known as Pan says and points his quarterstaff at Whicker, making him shift uncomfortably when he does.

Whicker: W-Well yes, I suppose I did, but that doesn't mean you can just go assaulting people and kidnapping them!

He says in his defense.

Whicker: And what happened to that other Pony that was with you, Miss Star?

Star: Oh right. Let me think for a moment.

She says with a sigh and closes her eyes to concentrate.

Star: He's at the castle ruins further in.

Whicker: Oh, well we were heading that way, to begin with, so would you like to accompany us?

HE says, perking up a little and his smile grows a little wider as she nods.

The episode ends with them walking off towards the castle.
