Frozen Discord

Introduction

The evening sun blended the sky in hues of pink, purple, and blue. A light, chilled breeze rolled over the calm town of Ponyville. A young mare looks out the window of  her mother's library, seeing lights carried by slow-moving ponies underneath her. It's the night before the Summer Sun Celebration, and everypony was ready to stay up all night and watch as Princess Celestia rises the sun in the morning to mark the defeat of the old Princess Luna, the one who wanted disharmony; the never-rising sun. At that moment, she had thought the same thought she always had. Why can't there be something different? Like chaos?

“Ice Eyes!” A voice from behind her made her jump and turn around instantly. “Hurry! We need to get ready to go to the Summer Sun Celebration!”

“Yes, Twilight.” Ice sighs as she uses her magic to grab a light and attaches to to Twilight's backpack. “Um, Twilight.” she began to ask.

“Yes?” Twilight answers, keeping her eyes intent on the letter she was writing.

“I was wondering, but, like... why isn't there, like, disharmony, or something?” Ice asks, in a small, shy voice. Twilight's horn stops glowing, and the pen drops immediately, splattering black ink all over her letter.

“You... actually think about that?” Twilight growls, her voice growing deeper with anger. Ice nods slyly. “Well, Ice Eyes, do you want murder in Equestria? Do you want rape? Do you?!” Twilight screams, her voice filled with anger. Ice shrivels down into a small ball, taking every yell and scream directed towards her. Why did her mother have to scold her for believing in something different?

“No!” Ice retorts, her eyes burning Twilight's pelt with a cold, hard stare. “All I want is something different! Even if it kills ponies!”

Twilight slaps Ice in the face with her hoof, a stinging pain flowing through Ice's cheek. Ice flies back into the wall with a loud thud! that shakes the entire library. “Ice Eyes! I have had enough of you! I try and try to make you understand, but you won't listen! If this is how it has to be,” Twilight settles her voice down, not wanting to yell.”, then I can't have you anymore.”

Ice Eyes's eyes grow wide with a mix of worry and sadness, and salty tears pour slowly out of her eyes. “F-fine... it's not like your my mom anyways. An alicorn can't come from a unicorn...” Ice flaps her wings open, causing her cape covering her wings to flutter off, and turns and flies out the open window behind her.

Twilight walks over to the cape. Tattered and worn out over the years, this green cape had covered up her large secret of housing an alicorn. I only wanted the best of her... Twilight thought to herself. But will she be worthy enough to be the next ruler of Equestria?

Ice Eyes soars over the small, quiet town of Ponyville, looking for a place who will take her, just as she is; a chaotic thinker with an open mind. But instead, she starts to lower herself into a royal garden as she lands. She looks around in the garden, just to realize that she was in the statue garden that held the mighty king of Chaos, Discord. She trots around, searching for the large statue that held Discord. Searching through large statues of legendary ponies, she finally found the one she was looking for.

“Oh, Discord,” she began softly, “we think alike. We like chaos. We want the world to not match up, to create disharmony.” But she looks at the ground and tears begin to flow again. “But no one understands! All they want is harmony, harmony, harmony. It just doesn't make sense!” She begins to cry again, thinking about her mother, her foster mother, who had taken care of her.

“Oh, my young princess, what fun is there in making sense?” a strange voice had called above her. She looks up, and to her surprise, Discord, out of his stone prison once again, stands in front of her. “Why are you trying to search for me?”

Ice Eyes looks up at Discord, her voice choked by tears she was trying to hold back. “Well, I wanted to see you. Your the only one that understands. I want to rule Equestria in the future, but they wouldn't let me! And, besides, the princesses are invincible! Immortal!”

“Well, Ice, the only way to get something you want is to take it by force. And I know how to kill the Princesses. With my power of Disharmony plus your magic, we can create a blow so powerful it kills both of the princesses!” he looks down at Ice Eyes. “Now, I will let you rule Equestria as you please, but for a simple price.”

“Which is?” Ice says, excitement shaking her thin body.

“You have to let me inhabit your body. I will lend you magic and such, but it is the only way Celestia won't see me.” Discord answers, his eyes intent on Ice Eyes. “So, is it a deal?”

Ice Eyes thinks for a few seconds. Is this right? Of course it is! It will allow me to fulfill my dream! And with Discord by my side, I'm unstoppable! The young alicorn looks up at Discord and smiles.

“Deal.”
