The flipping of a page was all that could be heard in the small wooden, tree like cottage. Still air was what was left after, but then calm and rhythmically, the flap of page came once again. It was like this most days after two or three o’ clock.
A small pale, pastel yellow pony, laid on her belly on her favorite green couch in her small living room. A pink cousin pillow holding the small book she had been reading this late afternoon, that was making the nice sound. Her ears would twitch at the sound and then relax again.
The book wasn't anything to remember or talk about with her friends, but it was time passer. It was a simple tale, about a king and his wish to get the moon for his daughter. It was a silly story at times but heartfelt. It wasn't until a yawn escaped her lips that she realized, she had been page skimming and not reading that last two pages at all.
A clock strike sounded and she looked up. It was nearly six and the window next to the clock agreed, as Celestia was beginning to bring down her bright sun and put up a display of colors to fill the sky till Luna's moon and stars replace it. She yawned again and decided that the day was over, and she needed to get ready for bed.
The book closed with a quiet snap, and was put lightly on the small table next to a very unique lamp.

She put a quick hooves to her mouth, remembering that Discord hadn't been home all day.
“I hope he didn't get into trouble or something of the sorts.” Her quiet voice didn't make much of an impression to the still, yet warm air of her cottage. She ran a hoof through a part of her light pink hair to move it out of the way from her eye. “Well I might as well get the couch ready for him when he does get back.” Fluttershy stepped off and stretched her back hoof and fluffed her wings, which had grown tired from all the sitting.
Grabbing the blanket near by, she laid it on the couch and propped up the pillows to make to couch seem more bed like.
“There, all cozy.” She smiled to herself and walked out of the small, yet most calm part of her house. The rest was filled with little critters, now sleeping.
Except for one little bunny. Angle.
As she walked into the kitchen she was greeted with a pure white rabbit, who's one eyebrow was cocked up and thumbing his paw. His front paws crossed.
“Oh, what is it this time Mr. Meany?” She let out a soft giggle and he seemed to get more angry from the comment. “You want a before bed snack don't you?” The rabbit nodded. “Alright.” She sighed and went to open the cabinet that held the rabbit food she kept for him.
As soon as the door was opened she was greeted with a grey face and two yellow and red terrifying, yet funny miss match eyes.
“Why hello my dear!” His snout and teeth smiled brightly, inched from her now frightened face.
She let out a soft squeal from the scare and was about to fall back onto the floor when a bright flash appeared and she felt something snaked around her. Fluttershy looked up to see Discord wrapped around her, making sure she was safe.
Her scare was then replaced with happiness and a side of anger.
“Discord, that was mean!” She couldn't help but give a little smile in her angry words, seeing that chaotically friendly face. His long jagged tooth making his smile seem amusing.
“A thousand apologies my darling Fluttershy.” He uncoiled from her and set her down with grace. “You must know I was only playing.” He got off the floor and stood, his head and horns almost hitting the ceiling.
“Of course Discord.” She put a hoof up to her mouth to giggle.
“Well, I'd like to apologize as well for my lack of presence today. You see I was out getting some much needed chaos.” He let out an obviously face evil grin, which would've scared any other pony.
“Well as long as nopony was hurt, then that's ok.” She smiled and trotted back over to the counter, which was where the now very angry bunny was staring at Discord. “Now Angel Bunny, here's your yummy snack.” She gave the rabbit a small carrot and he took it, giving Discord the tongue and hopping away.
“How rude.” He said sarcastically behind Fluttershy.
“Well he's just cranky.” She said as she walked out of the kitchen and back into the living room. Discord quickly materialized on the couch and under the covers she made for him as she walked past.
“Why thank you dearest.” He snuggled into his little “bed” and made his snake like body curl up, but his cloven hoof was just barely off the couch’s side. “Oh Fluttershy?” He said and she was just at the stair base and was heading up to bed.
“Yes Discord?”
“May I make the couch a bit bigger, just so it could fit all of me?” He pouted his bottom lip and blinked his eyes, his eyelashes growing big and fluffy at the gesture.
“Or you could shrink yourself?” She chuckled and pushed her hair out of the way again.
He let out a sigh and his lion paw snapped and he shrieked about half his size.
“I suppose you're right.” He held a lazy smile as he closed his eyes and yawned, and stretched his arms over his head. “Goodnight Fluttershy.”
“Goodnight Discord.”
