Chapters Chapter one. a tragic situation.
The wind was strong, violent, and ruthless. It was getting dark in Canterlot city as the street lamps were being turned on one by one like a chain reaction. the cars had their headlights on and overall canterlot city looks beautiful with all the colorful lights in the dark. The strong wind started making a very strong eerie whistling sound, reminding the people of the city of its strong presence, any small litter or fallen leaves were being blown away and scattered by the harsh wind. The top of trees were being rocked back and forth, as they to keep their ground against the strong oncoming natural force.
The people walking the streets of canterlot were making their way back from work, some were closing their stores,others were coming in out of the train station,and driving in their streets along the cold dark roads. Even at nighttime the city is still busy,full of activity,but not tonight, all people wanted to do tonight was get their respected homes and out the very violent cold weather. People were hurrying through the busy streets trying to get to their destinations. They were holding their clothes for dear warmth as the winds kept up its relentless assault on the city. Every now and then the some people's hats would get blown off and they would start to panic and start chasing after their possessions,it was a funny sight to others who would give out light chuckles or small grins at the others small misfortune.
But not all was fun and giggles. On the other side of the streets,near an alleyway two young figures were leaning against a wall,observing their surroundings like wild animals looking around for danger amongst other things. The wind blew violently again which took the mysterious figures by surprise. "Damn it man!" a teen sounding voice said as he was keeping a firm hold on his head and keeping himself straight from the sudden blow, "when will this wind ever slow down and give us a break?" the same voice said as the mysterious young teen was looking up at the night sky,looking for a sign that the wind has finally stopped. "You know it's pointless looking up at the sky when you know what the answer is already!" said the other teen standing next to the other one, his voice being slightly higher than the first teen, but still deep all the same.
"Hey how long do we have to stay on guard out here again? the streets are getting kinda empty now!" said the first teen.
"I don't know Edge dale". "But we might as well check on the other guys and see if the boss has come back yet!" said the second teen.
"Agreed Swift up". "we might be needed back there anyway, lets just keep our hoods up to avoid trouble!"finished the teen now known as Edge dale, as they turned their backs to the busy streets to head into the dark alley.
meanwhile.
In the dark alley sounds of laughter and talking could be heard.The alley was not all too fancy, the floors were littered with rubbish, like cans,chip packets,snack boxes, amongst other things. The alleys of canterlot were not a safe place, especially after dark because that's where all the local delinquents like to hang out, get drunk, and smoke, so the local adults don't make it a thing to journey or think about them.
As the two hooded teens journeyed through the dark alley, sounds of laughter and chat was getting more and more clearer by the second.
"Hey Edge dale do you think the boss is back already?"asked Swift up,"the other guys sure are getting louder.
Edge dale simply shrugged as he continued to walk through the alley towards the sounds of laughter followed by his younger companion.
As the teens treked on there was an opening in the distance which was lit up, almost as if the sun was just shining in that while leaving everything else in the shadows.The larger space was really the same as the smaller spaces of the alley, only difference is the larger space had more trash,plus there were recycling bins and fences on one side. Edge dale and Swift up finally arrived to the opening to see 5 more young teens just chilling and interacting with each other.3 teens were sitting down against a wall. The teen sitting on the left was orange skinned, his eyes were sky blue,and he had fuzzy yellow hair with red highlights that rested on his shoulders and came down to the bottom of his neck.For his outfit,he was wearing a zipped up black body warmer, a red hoodie underneath,white baggy pants with black sneakers and neon white laces.
The teen sitting next the yellow haired one, was blue skinned ,his eyes were bright yellow almost like cat eyes. He had messy spiky wavy red hair with a white strand going through the middle. For his outfit,he wore a black long sleeved checked shirt with the small squares being neon yellow.He wore black jeans and a pair of black sneakers with yellow laces.
The third teen had green skin,with brown eyes, a mix of orange,red,and yellow dreadlocks tied into a ponytail.For his outfit he wore a black sports jacket with white lines going down the arms,a pair of dark gray sports pants with black lines going down the side,and black boots with white
These three teens were busy drinking and smoking amongst themselves to notice the arrival of the other two teens.
On the other end of the alley,leaning against a wall was an other teen who had a slightly bigger build than the others.His face was mostly covered by his hat and his hood,but there was some skin showing which was white,both his eyes were covered by his hood and only some strands of hair escaped his hat and hood which was blonde,For this teen's outfit he wore a plain black hoodie with white lines going down his crossed arms,blue jeans,and a pair of green boots with black laces.
From an onlookers point of view this teen was in a deep thinking like trance, as he had head facing the ground and his arms crossed tight.
For the final teen who was dancing,laughing,and cheering,he had white skin with red eyes. And white coloured hair with black highlights,he wore a black hoodie with a skull with two crossbones underneath on the front, and the number 13 on the back. He was also wearing a pair of dark black jeans with a small chain coming out of his right pocket being attached to the black belt he wore.And to finish his outfit, he wore black sneakers with black laces.
Unlike the other four teens this one noticed the other two arrived,and he walked up to them.
"Yo, what's happening guys" he asked casually.
"Oh nothing much Swift spoke up,we heard you guys cheering earlier and we thought Turban was done"finished Swift.
"Yeah,Edge dale spoke up,what he said"
The new teen eyed them curiously with a smirk on his face which made the other two teens nervous.
"MORRISON!!! yelled Edge dale with an annoyed look on his face,DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT!!" he finished yelling.
"YEAH MAN LIKE SERIOUSLY, NOT COOL!!!" added Swift up with the same look on his face.
The teen now known as Morrison just simply rolled his eyes,turned his back to two other teens and went back to laughing and cheering.Edge dale and Swift up just walked past the excited teen with annoyed looks on their faces, as they approached the three teens sitting against the wall.
The yellow haired teen looked up from his drink and saw the other two teens approaching them and smiled.
"Edge dale & Swift up,welcome!" he said with a smile. The red haired boy looked up at the teens and gave them an approving smile.
"Yo!",he simply said.The last teen who was the dreadlocked boy looked up and just gave the two teens a simple nod with his head before going back to his drink.
Edge dale and Swift up stopped in front of the three sitting teens and decided to sit next to them. Edge dale then turned towards the teen sitting next to him. "Hey spectrum he asked, whats got morrison so excited all of a sudden??" he finished.
"Yeah, like seriously, Swift spoke up, did someone amped up his drink?? and bud?? Swift finished.
Edge dale rolled his eyes at what his friend just said, then looked back at the yellow haired teen, now known as spectrum to answer.
Spectrum simply shrugged his shoulders, indicating he has no idea either,but as he did this, a new voice spoke up.
"If you guys wanna see something interesting you better look up now!"said the new voice.The chatting teens all looked towards the new voice and saw the red haired teen pointing towards the middle. Curious to see what he was pointing at.When they did all their eyes went wide, in the middle of the alley they saw the hat wearing teen standing right in front of Morrison staring daggers right into him, but what surprised the teens the most was that Morrison just stood there with that stupid look on his face.
"Yo,can i help you with anything?" asked morrison with a casual voice. The other teens watching facepalmed.
The bigger teen intensified his stare at the excited teen and began to grit his teeth,then he said in a dark clear voice,"You can start by SHUTTING THE HELL UP!!, the bigger teen suddenly yelled,causing the five watching teens to flinch from the sudden yelling. if you could just act your age and stop your stupid DANCING AND BLOODY CHEERING"!! he finished adding venom in the last two words.
What happened next caused the five teens to gasp loudly with wide eyed expressions on their faces. Morrison has lost all positive emotions with a click of a finger, and it flown away with the wind, because he had the bigger teen's hoodie collar clenched in both his hands and the grip was tight!, and the smile that was on his face was replaced with a deadly glare."LISTEN HERE KNUCKLEHEAD!!! I'M SORRY THAT I'M IN A GOOD MOOD", I'M SORRY THAT I'M HAVING A GOOD NIGHT!!, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY I'M SORRY FOR BEING A POSITIVVE PERSON!!!" he yelled with such rage that echoed through the wind for the whole city to hear.
"So why don't you back o-"
Morrison could not finish his sentence as he felt something HARD connect to his face, which made him let go of the other teen, and he staggered back clutching his face. The other teens all gasped and tensed up at what they saw, and the red haired teen shot up to his feet which caused the others to look at him with surprise. Then the red haired boy yelled "HEY CMON GUYS LET'S NOT DO THI"-
"STAY OUT OF THISSSSS!! MICRO FLARE!!!, the teen was cut off by Knucklehead giving a yell without looking at him. This made the redhead silent and shake with fear as he set himself back down, failing at being the peacekeeper.
Morrison was still dazed and trying to get his bearings back, not paying attention to the approaching Knucklehead who still had his right fist clenched and walking with violent intent. "How dare you!! lay your hands on me Knucklehead said angrily at Morrison, YOU really are a stupid KID!!", he said with venom as he swung again for the dazed teen. But this time Morrison saw it coming and dodged it swiftly!. ("Hmm not bad Knucklehead thought to himself, it's not often i find someone who can recover that fast from punc-")
he was knocked out of thought as Morrison delivered a swift roundhouse to the bigger teen's face. But this did not phase him, it only made him mad and he glared at Morrison with killer intent.
The other 5 watching where at a complete shock, mouths agape, eyes wide, it's like they witnessed something amazing, but the complete opposite. "hey man d-d-did you see that shit! stuttered Micro flare, i had no idea Morrison knew some form of martial arts!" he finished.
"i know man, crazy!" Spectrum added with surprise.
"how could he stretch his leg like that? he's wearing jeans man, JEANS!! added Swift up with a finger pointing to Morrison.
"uh-huh"was the only response Edge dale had with his mouth still wide.
......... The dreadlocked teen offered no response as he just stoically watched on.
Back in the middle, Morrison got his bearings together completely and stood ready, staring down the now enraged Knucklehead who was rubbing his cheek with the back of his. "you know....you just made the biggest mistake of your life!" he said darkly. Morrison did not falter, he showed no fear, he stood ready, fists clenched legs separate, eyes focused on his enemy, he will not back down.
All was in an eerie silence, nothing made a sound except the whistling of the wind and the honking of cars in the distance. It was a tense atmosphere, neither side would make a move, the combatants just stood staring at each other, giving of a chilly look towards one another. Then a random glass bottle made its small presence known, rolling along the concrete floor past the two fighters, and then like a flash, they both lunged at each other.
Both teens collided with each other with a loud thud but Morrison being smaller than Knucklehead was knocked back a bit. Then Knucklehead swung and connected another shot to Morrison's face, he staggered back further back, but Knucklehead kept on coming as he swung another right, but Morrison saw it coming again and ducked underneath the punch. He threw a right punch to the bigger teen's ribs, but it did not phase him whatsoever. Knucklehead threw a right uppercut towards Morrison, but at the last second he swung his head back and Knucklehead's fist just missed the teen's chin by inches, then Morrison delivered a jumping knee and nailed the bigger teen's chin making his head swing back, knocking his hood of his head revealing his black hat fully and his tied back long blonde hair going down his back. Knucklehead recovered quickly and shook his head to get rid of blurriness. He then looked at Morrison who was coming at him with another roundhouse in mind, but Knucklehead saw it coming and held his hands out ready for interception. But what happened next surprised the teen. Morrison stopped halfway and ducked to deliver a sweep to Knucklehead's legs witched knocked him over, Morrison finished with a dance move pose.
At this point the five teens watching the fight were all wide eyed mouthed, it looked like there jaws were hitting the floor and their eyes would dart out their heads at any minute. Knucklehead who was now lying on the ground was looking up at the sky, the clear cold cloudless sky. He lay motionless for a minute looking up at the sky, "you still alive down there? asked the coocky voice of Morrison who had a smug look on his face, i hope you did not hit your head too had"he chuckled. This sparked a fuse inside Knucklehead's head as his face showed a very dangerous look. He flipped his heavy body up with agility which took Morrison by surprise, then Knucklehead charged Morrison and tackled him with him on his shoulder as he ran. Knucklehead ran right into brick wall and rammed Morrison into it, HARD, which made him cough after being violently rammed into a wall, then Knucklehead punched Morrison right in the face and he went down. "That serves you right! he said looking down at the fallen coughing teen, if you know what's good for you don't get up!" he finished.
Knucklehead turned his body around thinking it's a job well done and began walking away. But Morrison was not done yet, not by a long shot. He slowly got to his feet still coughing and rubbing at his stomach. but he still had a determined look on his. After rubbing his stomach for the final time, he put his hands up in front of his face and slowly clenched hands into fists and gave the walking teen a a glare that was full of rage that it almost made tears drop from his eyes. "HEYYY!! I'M NOT YET!!" Morrison yelled with a purpose. The five teens watching all gasped for the 50th time as they looked over at Morrison. Knucklehead stopped his walking with a surprised look on his."(how is he still standing??, this is ridiculous he thought to himself") "well you sure are a glutton for pain Knucklehead said as he looked at Morrison. "You need to quit while you still can!" Knucklehead gave a stern look towards the hurt teen.
"NOT when this is about RESPECT!!" he said the last part with purpose, witch caught Knucklehead off guard as he went wide eyed at Morrison's answer. Then the the teen charged at Knucklehead with intent to cause pain. Knucklehead got into a fighting stance and then swung his right fist,intending to hurt Morrison, but he ducked the right and then started to repeatedly punch at Knucklehead's stomach and ribs super fast precise jabs. Knucklehead was taking Morrison's punches full on like a champ,but he began to get winded and started to cough,so he raised both his arms in the air and cupped his fists together, then he sung them down and smashed Morrison's skull making him lean forward. But to the big teen's surprise Morrison used the momentum of his swing and did a webster With Morrison's heel connecting to Knucklehead's forehead, causing him to yelp a bit, but then he swung again, this time his fist made a connection to the other teen's face causing him to back away and clutch his now swollen cheek.
Both teens just stood there staring at each other, panting as their fight took some energy out of them. Knucklehead was rubbing at his stomach after it was punched nonstop. Morrison was rubbing at his now bruised cheek after it got punched hard twice. The five teens watched with worry as their two friends just had a massive fight and were now showing signs of pain. "You think it's over Neo glow"?? Micro flare asked his dreadlocked friend who remained silence the entire time, except for the occasional gasp. "just look and find out" he said with a calm voice. Micro flare gave his friend a quick glare then looked over at the two teens with worry.
The atmosphere was tense, as neither teen made a move, they just remained as they were. panting out of breath and staring at eachother. "Well now, that was certainly an interesting fight to watch after a good job!" a new teen voice spoke up with a hint of joy in it. The seven teens than began looking for the sauce of the new voice until Knucklehead saw the person the voice belonged too and immediately started to sweat. Once the others saw who it was too they also began to sweat and some even shivered. sitting on the other side of the alley was a lone teenager with a smirk on his face, The teen was a bright skinned boy with black eyes and jet black hair, he wore a black punk coat with metal spikes on the shoulders. a white t-shirt with the words "KILLAH" written on it, black skinny jeans, and a pair of baseball boots.
The new teen was playing with a butterfly knife in one hand as he hoped of his seat and slowly made his way towards the middle "Hey t-t-there boss i did not see you there! Knucklehead fearfully said".
"H-h-how long have you been sitting there watching us ?" Morrison spoke up with equal fear.
"Long enough to see a show wouldn't you agree boys!" the new said as looked at the 5 teens sitting against the wall. Each of them slowly nodded their heads at his question "S-sure Turban! Micro flare added as he gulped a lump in his throat nervously. "Good" Turban said with a grin on his face.
"So uh,Turban did you succeed" Asked a very nervous Morrison. Turban gave him a sinister smile and showed his knife which was dripping with blood which caused both Knucklehead And Morrison to shake. "Hey uh Turban, why are you looking at me like that Morrison asked nervously" as Turban walked closer with that grin on his. At this point even Knucklehead began to get a little nervous about how Turban is acting and walking towards Morrison with no good intension. " Hey Turban, why you acting so weirdly?" Knucklehead asked his leader but he just ignored his question and walked right past him,giving him a pat on his shoulder making him concerned.
As Turban got closer Morrison's heartbeat began to beat faster and faster by the minute and sweat continuously dripped from his head as he watch his leader approach him and then come to a gentle stop, staring at Morrison right in his eyes. Morrison was taller than Turban but not by much,he knew he could hold his own against this sinister teen but something about Turban made Morrison nervous, VERY nervous. He began trembling as Turban just stood there staring into his eyes smiling evilly without saying a word. ("Its those eyes of his, those black lifeless eyes staring into my soul, i can seriously feel soul get colder and colder by the second to the point where this weather is nothing to me", Morrison thought). Turban looked at Morrison's balled up trembling fist and looked amused by how scared he was. "So Morrison good buddy" he said in a rather surprising warm voice. " Y-yeah Morrison stammered out, what's up Turban". Without letting the scared teen know Turban slowly raised his hand with the butterfly knife in, something Knucklehead and Neo glow noticed and both began to go wide eyes.
"Hey Morrison how fast are you?" Turban asked curiously. "Turban what you thinking right now" whispered Neo glow who worryingly eyed his knife hand. "Wha-.
Than with a sudden swift movement Turban spin swiped and stopped with his back now facing Morrison with both his arms spread wide like wings. "Not fast enough"Turban whispered darkly with his eyes closed as he slowly put his knife away.
Every teen who saw what happened had mixed looks of horror or outrage at they just witnessed. Morrison was left standing completely horrified, he had no idea what happened as it was just a blur, but he did hear a strange sound, a sound that sounded like liquid spraying everywhere. But he noticed something else to, he was choking and losing his vision, his body felt really light all of a sudden then it happened!. Morrison fell backwards with a shocked expression on his face as he lay there, lifeless!. "WHAT THE FUCK!! DID YOU DO TURBAN!!!!" Knucklehead yelled in outrage as he approached Turban was slowly walking away from the still form behind him.
Knucklehead was still outraged and the other five teens were still horrified at what just transpired. Turban slowly walked past Knucklehead before he was stopped by the angry teen who then grabbed Turban by his jacket collar and lifted him up in the air.much to the horror of the others. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND TURBAN!!! YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO DO THAT!!!" THE BIG TEEN YELLED WITH FURY. Turban just simply gave Knucklehead a blank look and released himself from The strong teen's grip and walked right next to him and whispered in his ear," you're lucky that you are the first and you still have uses" he whispered darkly as he continued walking. That statement caused Knucklehead's eyes to twitch as he was about to reach his boiling point but he just remained still as he stared at the body of the Former energetic teen known as Morrison just laid lifeless.
Turban got to the entrance of the alley and turned his slightly and said in a clear voice, "c'mon boys, let's go" then he turned to walk away. All the teens snapped out there trance and looked at each other worryingly. "I'm not sure about you guys? but i'm going said Neo glow",
"same here!" said Swift up. The other teens just gave a single nod of their heads and made their way after Turban. As the teens were walking out the alley Edge dale stopped as he noticed there was one person missing. He slowly turned his head to see Knucklehead still staring at Morrison's lifeless body.
"Hey buddy, are you coming"? Edge dale asked softly.
"Yeah just......tell Turban i'll meet him back at the house. Knucklehead said without turning his head.
"Understood"Edgedale simply said as he knew Knucklehead wanted to be alone, so he decided not to push it further and left to join the others. Knucklehead slowly started making his way towards the dead teen who had his lifeless eyes and mouth wide open, his neck had a long deep wound which was still gushing blood, making a very faint stain on his black hoodie and small pool was forming around his head. Knucklehead stood over Morrison and looked down on him with a solemn look on his face as he crouched down besides him and put his hand over the deceased teen's face, and very gently rubbed his hand downwards to close his eyes and mouth to make him at peace. Once he was don, he stood up and looked down one more time and whispered "i'm sorry" with a sad look on his face, then he put his hood up, turned around and slowly walked away towards the others.
The wind blew violently causing loose rubbish and paper to start flying around the alley, making a tornado like formation around Morrison's body. Then as Knucklehead was walking he heard a rustling sound behind a trash can, and looked at it for a sec, then he just sighed and walked on, as a flying piece of paper went flying past the walking teen and landed behind the trash can. The piece of paper landed gently on the ground faintly in the light to reveal three beautiful young women on the cover, all of them holding shiny microphones and dressed in fancy outfits on a very colourful lightened up stage, with smiles on their faces. Above the women the word, "The Dazzlings" could be seen in big pink glittery writing. Then out of the shadows a pair of green dirty hands could be seen gripping the paper tightly, then a wet shiny liquid started to fall and landed on the paper on the middle poofy haired girl's cheek, Then a small cry was heard.
On the other side of Canterlot city inside a range rover the same poofy haired girl was behind the wheel when she felt a strange cold sensation on her left cheek. The woman gasped lightly and placed one hand on her cheek.
"What was that she asked softly as she rubbed her cheek softly. Another hand was placed on the poofy haired girl's shoulder.
She turned her head to see a fiery head girl look at her with concern on her face.
"Hey Adagio, are you okay? asked the fiery head girl softley.
"Yes dear i'm fine, just got a little feeling on my cheek, that's all" Adagio said with a smile"no need to worry Sunset".
Sunset shimmer slowly let go of Adagio's shoulder and gave her friend a warm smile before turning back to the road, as the black range rover drove into the dark city.
chapter three- Emergency!
Adagio remained hugging the broken soul who was trembling in her soft warm embrace. The little boy's cries were becoming softer by the minute as he remained in Adagio's embrace and his shivering and shaking also began to calm down a little. Adagio began to slowly break the embrace as she leaned up to look at the little boy. Both her hands remained on his small shoulders, she looked the small boy over and noticed all the scratches and bruises he had on his face, arms, and legs. She was slowly becoming sick to her stomach at the condition this small boy was in and how much suffering he must be going through. (How could this sweet little child be in such a bad condition!) Adagio spoke in her mind. Adagio cleared her thoughts and looked over the small boy once again who was much calmer now but he was still nervous slightly and he had a look of sadness on his face. Adagio saw this and she very carefully moved her right hand towards his unbruised cheek and gently laid it on his cheek. The boy instantly looked at Adagio who was giving him a very warm caring look, but there was concern lingering behind her eyes. The boy slowly raised one of his hands and rested it on Adagio's hand. This caught her by surprise but she accepted it with a smile, (i think he's finally opening up slowly.) Adagio thought with a smile. She looked at the small boy and noticed he had a small smile on his face but his eyes were shut, and he was not moving, this made Adagio confused. She stared at the boy with a mix of confusion and worry on her face. He was just sitting there with his eyes closed and a small smile on his face with his right hand resting on top of Adagio's. Adagio just sat there for about a minute staring at the boy wondering when he would make a move, but the minute past and he still did not make a move and this caused Adagio to get worried a little. She began to slowly and gently shake him to see if this would make him move, but he never did. Now in full worry mode Adagio began to shake him even harder.
"Hey sweetheart, can you hear me?" she asked in a gentle voice full of concern. But he still did not move, he just remained sitting there without making a single budge. Adagio then began panic, she did not know what to do, she began looking around to see if there was anyone around who could help but there was no one, she turned back to the boy with desperate eyes, but that did not change anything. But then a thought came across her mind, she gently laid the boy down and rested his head on her lap, she leaned her down towards the boy's chest and moved some of her hair out of the way so she could listen for a heartbeat. She heard one alright, but it was very faint, Adagio shot up and looked down at the unconscious boy, who still had a small smile on his face. Adagio began to scan the boy's body for any more serious injuries that were not visible unlike the small scratches on his face, arms, and legs. But she found nothing so she decided to lift the boy's shirt to check his stomach and abdomen. What she saw made her gasp and tears began to sting her eyes. There were numerous bruises on his stomach and chest, and on the side of his stomach there was a horrible looking cut that was starting to bleed very slowly, and it also looked very recent. Adagio began to slowly cry and felt herself getting angry, (Who could do this to a sweet little boy like this!) she thought to herself. She immediately shacked her head and picked up the small boy and cradled him to her chest. "Ok hold on sweetheart i'm gonna get you to the hospital right away!". Adagio then ran with the small boy in her arms towards her parked car completely oblivious to the unknown teen who was watching them from a rooftop hidden by the darkness of the shadow.
Sunset shimmer was currently walking through a near empty car park towards Adagio's car carrying two plastic bags which contained kebabs for her and Adagio to eat when they got back home. As she was when walking she saw her friend running towards the car very frantically, Sunset was confused at what she saw. "Strange? i thought she said she would wait in the car." Sunset commented to herself, but she narrowed her eyes when she saw Adagio carrying something in her arms. She soon noticed Adagio was in fact carrying a small unconscious boy in her arms, this made Sunset gasp and she ran towards her frantic friend who just reached her car. "Adagio what happened? and why are you carrying a small child in your arms??" Sunset asked in a confused and worried tone.
"Sunset please, we must get this boy to the hospital! he's hurt really bad and i'm not sure if he will last without treatment!" Adagio was in tears.
Sunset gasped again and took a good look at the small child in Adagio's arms and she saw all the scratches and bruises he had all over his body, then she noticed a small red stain forming on the side of the child's shirt. This made her go wide eyed. "Ok Adagio i will take the wheel and you can sit and comfort this injured soul." Sunset spoke as she ran towards the driving seat. Adagio said nothing as she used one of her arms to open one of the back car doors and she got in and rested she child's head on her shoulder. Sunset got into the driving seat and took the keys out of the side door and started the car engine and sped out of the carpark heading straight towards a nearby hospital.
Behind a corner in the car park a silhouette of a teenager stood watching the speeding car in the distance get smaller and smaller by the second. "You better hurry" He spoke in calm quiet voice. And with that said he turned and walked away into the shadows of the night.
Chapter four- The waiting game.
Sunset was currently driving as fast as she could down the dark highway heading towards the nearest hospital she could find, and for good reason, sitting at the back of the car was Adagio dazzle cradling an unconscious little boy in her arms who has by the looks of him has been through hell. She was leaning her back in the seat and was currently looking at the unconscious boy in her arms. She could not take her eyes off the little soul. Adagio could not stop wondering how and why would anyone inflict so much harm towards this little boy and for what purpose they would get out of it. It made her sick to her stomach, she wished she could find this person and give them hell for their treatment of this poor child, and give them a taste of their own medicine. The more Adagio thought about that mystery person the more she found herself fuming, but then Sunset snapped her friend out of her thoughts. "How is he doing?" Asked Sunset as she looked at them thru the rearview mirror with a sad soft look on her face. Adagio looked up from the boy in her arms and straight at Sunset "It's too soon to tell, his breathing is still shallow and very light. I just hope when we arrive at the Hospital the lovely nurses over there can improve his health and figure out where his parents are" Adagio spoke sadly as she looked back down at the small child in her arms. Sunset looked back at the road.
"I just hope we can make it on time, judging by his look some of those injuries had been there for awhile while some others look fairly recent"
Adagio who was still looking down at the small child in her arms was scanning his little body, indeed he had scratches, scars, cuts and bruises all over him. But what bothered Adagio the most was that injuries were small, so small, of course they were bad don't get her wrong, but what one of these many injuries were enough to make a small child like him pass out. "I don't understand" Adagio spoke quietly. she kept scanning his small frame until she saw a white piece of paper in his right hand. "What's this" Adagio gently moved her hand towards his and she gently made him loosen his grip on the paper and she took it and turned it around to look at its content. What she saw made her gasp lightly. It was the picture of her and her sisters performing on stage. "This was at the rainbow climax concert" Adagio spoke quietly. She looked over the picture some more until her gaze fell on herself. She noticed a small stain on her left cheek, the same cheek she got that weird cold feeling from earlier. She put the picture in the pocket of her coat and wrapped her arm around the child to keep him close. About 5 minutes later the car came to a stop in a big car park, Sunset turnt off the car and turned her head towards Adagio. "We are here dagi". Sunset spoke as she opened the car door and jumped out, she instantly went to the back of the car to let out her friend.
"Cmon Adagio lets get him inside quick!" Sunset spoke.
"Absolutely" replied Adagio with determination.
Adagio and Sunset ran towards the entrance with Sunset reaching the doors first. She opened them and kept them open for her friend to get through carrying the small boy in her arms. They both ran towards the reception desk were a very tired but professional nurse was sitting looking through some paperwork. She noticed the new arrivals reach her desk and stood up to greet them.
"Hello and welcome t-" She immediately stopped when she noticed the small unconscious boy in the arms of Adagio, she gasps loudly and rushes around the counter towards the three and stops in front of Adagio to inspect the little boy in her arms. "What happened to this child, how did he get these horrible injuries?" the nurse spoke while eyeing the two ladies in front of her.
"Please nurse can you help him, i found him wandering the Canterlot streets while me and my friend here were ordering some food, i found the little dear sitting on the cold hard ground wearing these ripped clothes and these injuries on his body. I went to see if the child is ok but as i was comforting him, he just fell unconscious, then we rushed him here, so please help this poor dear, no child deserves this!" Adagio was on the brink of tears when she spoke. The nurse looked at her with concern and nodded her head in agreement.
"We will do everything in our power to help this young child" the nurse said with a determined look. She stretched out both her arms Towards Adagio beckoning her to pass her the child. Adagio nodded her head in understandment and before she complied she did something that made the nurse and Sunset shimmer smile warmly. She leaned her head down and planted a soft tender kiss on the child's forehead and his cheek. "Rest easy my little angel. i'll be waiting for you when you wake up" she said sweetly as she passed the boy to the arms of the nurse. The nurse took him gently and cradled him to her chest. She looked up towards Adagio and Sunset shimmer with a soft smile and nodded her head. "Thank you for everything you've done for this child and i promise you he will make a healthy recovery" she spoke with a smile and then she turned towards some doors and went through them. Adagio and Sunset stood there staring at the doors the nurse just walked through. Adagio let loose some tears as she continued watching the doors, something that Sunset quickly noticed.
"Hey dagi it's ok, you heard what the nurse said" Sunset spoke warmly as she hugged her crying friend to comfort her. Adagio just simply nodded her head and returned the hug. They both stayed like that for a few more minutes before they slowly broke their hug. Sunset shimmer looked around the room until her eyes fell on a clock on the wall slowly ticking on away. Her eyes almost bulged out of her head when she realised what time it was. She began to worry and sweat a little as begun to have a small panic attack. Adagio caught wind of this and instantly dried her tears as she looked at her worrying friend with concern.
"Whatever is the matter dear?" Adagio asked her friend.
"I had no idea that was the time, if only i kept an eye on the time." Sunset facepalmed.
"You never answered my question dear??, whats wrong?" Adagio placed her hand on Sunset's shoulder.
"I'm late to pick up Fire stone from Twilight's" Sunset panicked.
Adagio instantly caught on to what Sunset was talking about and gasped. "oh my goodness i'm so sorry, you need to go to your son now." Adagio spoke.
Sunset looked at Adagio with a small smile on her face "There is no need to apologize, we did a great deed tonight." Sunset spoke softly.
Adagio smiled and nodded her head" Indeed we did" Adagio replied.
Sunset gave her friend a soft smile and turned towards the the doors one last time then back to her friend "your gonna be ok by yourself until your sisters arrive?"
"Of course i will, now you go to your son and make sure he is doing ok, plus say high to Twilight for me and give little Spike a big hug and kiss for me and tell him i got something for him next time i see him." She added the last part with a big smile.
Sunset rolled her eyes and chuckled softly "of course i will dagi, make sure you get some rest and keep me updated on the little guy's condition" she spoke.
"Of course dearie,now you be careful"
"I will" Sunset waved as she made her way towards the entrance. But before she could leave Adagio called her name and ran to her.
"Sunset, you can borrow my car for the night, i don't trust you taking a taxi at this time, especially with how famous you are around here."
Sunset looked at her friend with abit of confusion." You sure dagi?" Sunset asked.
"My decision is final, now you take my car keys and be careful with her understand?" Adagio gave Sunset a small serious look.
Sunset nodded her head and took the keys from her friend's hand "Thank you Adagio and you make sure you stay safe too." Sunset finished. And with that Sunset walked out into the dark car park and towards Adagio's car. Adagio watched the door for another or 2 as she saw her friend slowly drive out of the car park and into the night. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she turned her head towards some row of chairs and she started to make her way towards them. When she arrived she finally sat down in one of them and then she pulled out her cellphone. She swiped her hand across the screen to bring up the menu, she clicked on her contacts and a whole bunch of numbers came up, she went down the numbers until she made it to a contact named Aria, her younger sister, she clicked Aria's name and her cellphone number came up, she clicked it and the phone began to dial Aria's number. With that done Adagio brought her phone to her ear as she looked towards the doors the nurse walked through earlier with a sad look on her face and she began to let loose some more tears. "Please pull through little one" Adagio whispered softly to herself.

back in the cold dark city Knucklehead was sitting in a dark park on a bench staring into the sky looking at the stars while his thoughts ran through his head about the events that transpired in the early evening. Knucklehead sighed deeply as he closed his eyes and gritted his teeth with frustration. "Not only did Turban kill his fellow gang mate in cold blood, he probably killed that other teen as well.." He sighed again "and now his little brother is in even more danger now for being alive, plus who would've thought he would be found by two really famous people like the lead singer of the dazzlings and the second lead singer of that rainboom band!" Knucklehead spoke quietly to himself. He shifted his gaze from the stars to the city skyscrapers in front of him, he breathed in slowly and relaxed himself, then put on a look of determination on his face and he stood up from the bench he was sitting on. "I'm gonna finish this once and for all and make sure that kid has a decent life, even if it costs me big!" Knucklehead spoke with determination. He started to walk towards the city with a mission and his head held high.

Sunset stopped outside a nice big looking house and and got out of the car. She closed the door and locked the car and put the keys in her coat pocket. She walked towards the entrance of the house and stopped in front of the door, she raised her hand towards the door and gave it a knock, she waited for a few seconds, and then she heard the sound of feet running towards the door from the other side of it, she then heard someone unlocking the door and it slowly opened to reveal a young white skinned boy. He had green topaz like eyes, long green spiky hair and he was wearing a matching set of purple pajamas with a pair of black socks on his feet. The little boy looked up at the young woman at the door and he immediately wore a big smile. "Sunset shimmer!!!!" He happily said. Sunset looked down at him wearing a very warm loving smile. She crouched down to her knees and brought the boy into a big hug. " Hello to you to my little Spike" she happily said as she leaned her head in and gave him a big loving kiss on his cheek. Spike enjoyed the affection from the woman and he happily returned the hug around her neck. Sunset eventually broke the hug, got into a crouching position and brought her arms under both of Spike's arms. She then stood up and lifted him off the ground and held him to her waist and gave him another loving smile.
"Sunset i've missed you so much" Spike happily said as he laid his head on Sunset's shoulder.
"I've missed you to little guy, i've missed you so much" Sunset spoke softly as she started to rub her hand up and down Spike's back. (He's gotten heavier) Sunset thought to herself with a smile. "So Spike, where is Twilight at?" she asked the little boy.
"Mom is in in the living room doing some reading, i was on my way to go bed but then i heard someone knocking on the door so i thought i'd answer it" Spike finished.
Sunset smiled "well you really are a gentleman Spike, thank you for letting me in" She finished softly.
"HEY SPIKE WHO IS IT AT THE DOOR?" yelled a voice coming from another room. Sunset smiled after hearing the voice and decided to walk towards the room with Spike in her arms to surprise her very close friend and fellow band mate. Sunset walked into the living room to see her friend Twilight sparkle dressed in a nightgown with white pants, and pink wool slippers on her feet sitting at a desk doing some late night reading.
"Hey there Twi, i see your at it again" Sunset chuckled.
Hearing this Twilight looked up from her book to see Sunset shimmer standing in the middle of her living room with her son in her arms smiling at her. Twilight immediately wore a massive smile and she shot up from her desk and ran towards her close friend and hugged her and Spike.
"Oh my gosh Sunny, it's so good to see you, how you keeping up?" Twilight asked
But before Sunset could answer she heard a soft snore and and felt soft breathing on her neck. She turned her to see Spike asleep in her arms and lying his his head on her shoulder.
"Well ain't that the sweetest thing" Twilight awed at Spike and Sunset.
Sunset smiled sweetly at this and turned her head towards her friend. "Well Twilight, i've been really busy lately with all the paperwork and touring with the dazzlings. I rarely have time for myself nowadays. But i would like to talk more tomorrow, i'm really tired right now" Sunset yawned.
Twilight nodded her head and turned towards a clock on her wall. "It's almost midnight and you live quite far from here. Would you like to crash here for the night? Twilight asked.
Sunset looked towards the clock and back at Twilight. "That would be for the best, plus i want to spend some time with my son tomorrow" Sunset spoke with a soft smile on her face.
Twilight nodded her head in agreement. "Your right, you have not seen Fire stone in almost two months. He's sleeping right now but i know he will be delighted to see you when he wakes up" Twilight smiled.
Sunset however looked down sadly, something that Twilight noticed. "I wish i was not away for that long, she sighed, when i found out i was gonna be away for two months i cried, i couldn't bear to be separated from sweet Fire stone for that long, Adagio even told me to go home and be with him but i insisted on staying and working with them" she sighed once again.
Twilight smiled warmly and rested her hand on Sunset's shoulder. "Hey don't worry Sunny, Fire stone may be young but he understands why you decided to go." Twilight spoke softly while rubbing at her shoulder. Sunset sent Twilight a thank you smile and gave Spike to her to hold. Twilight took him gently and held him against her chest as he still slept peacefully. "Spike has missed all of you girls aswell, but that's a story for tomorrow. Fire stone is upstairs in the guest room". Twilight motioned her head towards a door in the large hallway.
"Thank you for taking care of him all this time, it really means a lot to me." Sunset spoke with a soft soft smile.
Twilight returned the smile." It's no problem at all, i enjoy taking care of him, plus he's a really good playmate for my little Spikey here."Twilight let out a small laugh and gave Spike a motherly warm smile.
Sunset smiled sweetly at this and began to make her way towards the guest room. Just as she reached the door, she turned her head towards Twilight who was watching her"Well Twi, i'm absolutely tired, so i'm gonna go bed with my little one, i'll see you in the morning" Sunset wished Twilight a goodnight and she opened the door very gently and entered the room and then closed the door behind her. Twilight nodded towards the door and then decided to go to bed herself. She walked towards the living room and turned off the lights, then she headed upstairs to turn in for the night. Back in the guest room Sunset was slowly taking her clothes off and was folding them up and gently putting them to one side. She walked towards a big closet and opened it to look for some clothes to wear to sleep. After about a minute of searching she decided to pick a no sleeved vest and a pair of black shorts. After she changed herself she walked towards a large double bed with her son in it who was sound asleep. He had the same skin color as Sunset and he had Long shaggy red hair, the same shade of red as his mother's. Sunset smiled lovingly at her son and she got into the bed herself and pulled the covers over her, she gently reached out towards her son and pulled him in, resting her head above his and keeping him close. "Goodnight my little sweet prince" she softly whispered.

Back at the hospital Adagio was currently sitting on one of the many chairs that was there, eagerly awaiting the nurse to return with good news. She could not stop thinking about that little boy she found earlier and how he got those many injuries on his body, it made her sick just thinking about it. (I do hope you make a successful recovery little one) she thought. Adagio was so caught up in her mind she failed to notice that someone was slowly approaching her.
Knucklehead made it to Adagio who was still oblivious to his presence. He cleared his throat slightly, but that was all he needed as that got Adagio's attention and looked his way. Adagio looked at the big teen suspiciously before talking.
"May i help you?. If your here for an autograph than sorry, but now is not a good time" She remained staring at him a small serious look on her face.
Knucklehead cleared his throat again. "i'm not here for some autograph, nor am i here to waste time, i'm here to speak to you about that small child you brought here, i know everything." He said.
This immediately caught Adagio's attention as she was now staring at the big teen intently. "Go on dear, i'm listening"
Chapter five- Understanding and answers
Just moments ago Adagio dazzle was deep in thought about that young boy she and her friend Sunset shimmer brought in a while ago, how he got all those nasty injuries on him, and who might be the cause of all his pain, but more importantly, does he even have a family left. All those questions in her head finally gave her an answer, but it came in the form of a very suspicious big teen. Just moments ago he just walked into the building and approached her saying he knows everything about this child and what happened to him. So of course this would grab Adagio's full attention on the teen.
"Go on dear im listening, please tell me everything!" Adagio said with a hint of desperation in her voice.
Knucklehead just stood there staring at the woman who had her eyes fixed on his the entire time. He sighed to himself and calmly decided to take a seat next to her. "Listen, before i tell you about him, i want to tell you another story connected to his.!" He finished.
"What do you mean by another story that's connected to his?. Adagio asked curiously.
Knucklehead sighed again and rested his forehead in his right hand." Listen very carefully from what i'm about to tell you, it's a long story."
Adagio swallowed nervously but nodded her head beckoning him to go on.
"A few weeks ago now this boy and his now late older brother lived by themselves in a run down apartment downtown, i don't know the reasoning of why they lived alone, that your gonna have to ask the kid when he wakes up, but know this." Knucklehead raised his head to look at Adagio in the eyes with seriousness spread across his face." That child is now all alone, he has no one to look out for him, no one to love him, no one to tell him what's right from wrong, and more importantly, he has no one to call a family. "Adagio's eyes both widened and she gasped and held her right where her heart was. "What h-" she was cut off by Knucklehead raising his hand signaling for her to stop and let him finish.
"Listen, i know you have questions. But for some of those questions i don't have an answer to, but i will answer the ones i do know." He spoke softly. Adagio regained her posture slightly and beckoned the big teen to continue which he did.
" That kid and his brother did not have a lot to live by so there only choice of survival was to steal from shops, markets, stores, and occasionally people who were clumsy. This happened alot and often around the downtown area where the bad side of town like to hang out and make residence. I know this because one, i live downtown, and two, i knew the kid's older brother, i ran into him a few times. He was a good teen, but very shady as well. He attended Canterlot high school not to long ago. But the poor teen had to live a double life all to support his little brother, the only living member of his family left." Knucklehead finished with a deep sigh.
Adagio was left speechless to say the least. She knew this city was not perfect like people say it was, every now and then she would hear or read about reports of crimes that happen here. from shoplifting, to mugging, to burglary, and on rare occasions, murder. She knows it all but it still gets her sometimes and hit her right at home, she was always a softie at heart once she reformed during her last years in school. Adagio took a few moments to process everything she was told so far. After sinking in this new information, she asked the question she was dreading to hear the answer too, but she had to know everything in order to understand and help this boy.
"You mentioned that the child is all alone now, what do you mean by that?" Adagio asked shakingly.
Knucklehead picked up on the grown woman's fear and frowned towards the ground. "I was hoping it would not come to this"
"Please i have to know, it's the only way that can help me care for this child!" She spoke with tears in her eyes.
Knucklehead was caught off guard at what this woman just said, but decided to drop it until his story was told. With one more sigh he carried on with his story.
"About two weeks ago the teen pulled off a robbery on the wrong person, and let's just say he paid an unfair price, earlier this evening i was down an alley relaxing with friends when this said person came back and wordlessly confirmed that he paid the price, in the form of his blood. After that, something really serious happened and we all split, but not me, i kept tabs on the area, because that little kid is still being hunted by the person his older brother robbed. He wont stop being in danger until that person is either arrested or the kid dies." Knucklehead finished coldly. Adagio was stunned beyond belief after hearing that part and it did not help her mood in the slightest, knowing that there is a monster in this city that would scoop so low as to murder an innocent child just for revenge. It made her sick to her stomach that there was such a person in this city to begin with. Then one question came to her mind. She slowly looked towards Knucklehead who was rubbing his face slowly and mumbling things to himself
"How do you know all this information?" Adagio asked sternly.
This question made the big teen freeze up and sweat for a few seconds, he was seriously hoping deep down to avoid this discussion and move on to more serious matters, as he did not like talking about himself or the business he does. After about another 10 seconds Knucklehead slowly raised himself from his seat and took of his hat, showing his messy long blonde hair which was no longer tied back. Adagio eyed the big teen with confusion as to why he takes of his hat now. Her curiosity gets the better of her as she eyed Knucklehead's long blonde hair covering his cheek and ear. Knucklehead then turned himself to face Adagio with a glare on his face which catches Adagio with complete surprise.
"Listen hear woman, i'm apart of something dangerous and serious, i'm risking my life here telling you this story because i don't believe ending an innocent life is fair!, so do me favour and watch how you speak to me and count yourself lucky that i'm a decent enough person to come here and help you out, when i could've easily just mind my own business and not interfere." He finished with an icy glare.
Adagio did not take kindly to this as she rose to her feet as well to confront the angry teen, though she only stood to his nose in height, she continued to stare down the bigger teen with a icy glare of her own.
"Well excuse me for being curious and caring for that child, i mean if you told this to anyone else they would ask you the same thing, because by the sound of it you know this child and his brother well enough to spark suspicion in your story. So why don't you do me a favour and tell me everything and stop hiding the real truth!"
Knucklehead gritted his teeth with frustration and anger.
"FINE!! if that's how you want it i'll you everything.! That child's big brother's name is Cliff dust, he was a few years younger than i was, but i knew him well enough as i said earlier, he stole just to keep him and his brother alive, hell he even attempted to steal from me once, but i set him straight and told him to stay clear of my business and my stuff. After that he never bothered me again, instead he told me his reasoning for the things he does and to be honest i did not care at the time....Until now, when it's too late." Knucklehead softened his expression and continued on." Look not too long ago Cliff mugged the wrong the person and that came back to bite him in the form of a butterfly knife. The person Cliff mugged tracked him down to his apartment a few days ago and i assume he killed him, but his little brother managed to escape and ever since that day, he has been on the run for his life. He does not deserve this, he's just a boy. Knucklehead finished with a solemn look on his face.
Adagio who was listening the entire time also softened her expression and looked on towards the emergency doors sadly before she turned her gaze towards Knucklehead.
"Why are you in danger for telling me this information?"
Knucklehead sighed before answering. "Look i'm apart of something very serious and dangerous right now and there is no turning back for me at this point. If you want to know my story, well your gonna have to wait until another time because i'm not important right now, but what is important right now is making sure that kid survives and gets a loving family to protect him and guide him along the right path." Knucklehead finished with a serious look on his face directed towards Adagio.
Adagio was touched by Knucklehead's words and gave a small smile towards him. "You know.. You are a decent person to come all this way for a child, though i would like to find out more about you, i wont rush, just come tell me in your own time." Adagio went up to the big teen and rested her right hand on his shoulder. At first Knucklehead gave her a puzzled look, but soon it turned into a slight smile. He gave Adagio a small nod and decided to leave at that point. But as he was about to leave, he was stopped by Adagio who held his arm in her hand.
"Wait!. Won't you tell me your name?."
Knucklehead was taken aback by this and he began to sweat a bit. (C'mon man why you so nervous, she's only asking you for your name, just tell her the truth and be out with it already.) With one more sigh he turned to look at Adagio one last time and spoke.
"Well miss dazzle, i go by two names but you can call Rio lights." He nodded one last time. Adagio was a bit confused when he said he goes by two names but decided to drop and find out later.
"Well Rio lights, thank you for your information, it was greatly appreciated, and before you go." Adagio reached into her pocket to bring out a small white card and gave it out towards Rio indicating for him to take it.
At first he hesitated but in the end he slowly took it and read it. After reading it he blushed slightly and looked back at Adagio who was smiling at him. "I don't hand those out often but after our little talk tonight i would like to hear more from you in the future." Adagio still had her smile.
Rio just looked at her stunned and confused before he just decided to go with it. After he put the card in his pocket he gave Adagio one more nod with his head and decided to leave because his work was done and it was getting late. Adagio watched him leave for a few more seconds before seating herself and thinking about everything she has learned from Rio lights.
"This is going to be an interesting week for sure" Adagio smiled sweetly to herself.
(Meanwhile location unknown)
Inside a very messy apartment there was currently three police officers and one body bag laying down in the middle of the floor. The officers was talking amongst themselves while cleaning the room and looking for evidence as a murder just happened. then the front door burst open revealing a very big and muscular man with yellow skin, blue eyes, very long red spiky hair and a big red beard, making him look like a human lion. He wore a black suite with a white shirt underneath with a plain black tie, black bottoms and a pair of black shoes. This man was huge to say the least, he was a good 6 ft 7 to 6 ft 9 and those muscles he had were not for show. The other three officers noticed his arrival and two of them began to shiver while a female officer approached the big man and stood in front of him at attention.
"Detective inspector Hard stone, what a surprise to see you here, i thought you were solving another case in the neighboring town?" the female officer spoke with a confused look on her face.
"Hmph, you young whipper snappers need to mind yer own business, it's rude to be nosey" Hard stone spoke with a deep voice that made the other officers tremble a bit. "Anyway what do we have here? Hard stone walked past the female officer and towards the body bag laying in the middle of the floor.
"It's the body of a young teen sir, his name was Cliff dust, 15 years of age, attended Canterlot high school, cause of death was a single stab wound through the gut, and by the looks of things he's been dead for about 2 days now." Another officer spoke while handing hard stone a photograph of the teen's body. Hard stone looked at the photograph for a minute before finally putting it in his blazer pocket.
"Another youngin huh. Who found him?" Hard stone asked.
"Landlord sir, she was coming to the house to collect his taxes but there was no answer, so she used her key to get inside and found Cliff lying dead and the apartment a complete mess." The female officer spoke.
"Any relatives that lives here as well, like parents or siblings?
"Well according to the landlord Cliff dust has a younger brother who has been missing for two days and an older sister who served time in prison before she died by suicide. As for their parents well both of them are confirmed to be deceased as well." The female officer spoke with a sad look on her face.
" Marble dust eh, i remember her case from years ago, she got into a fight and ended up using a knife on another girl, she survived but was scarred for life after that while marble was sentenced for 12 years behind bars for her crime, ended up dying only 2 years in her sentence by hanging herself. And now another one bites the dust like the other three." He said coldly.
"SIR!, THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THAT LAST COMMENT!" the female officer said with a small glare on her face.
"Oh calm down and get a cuppa would you" Hard stone dryly said. Before he could continue he got a call from his cellphone and decided to answer it. (Hello this is detective inspector Hard stone speaking what do you want? i'm in a middle of a crime scene here. Oh. Ok i'll be right there in a couple of minutes. Understood. Ok goodbye. Hard stone hanged up his cellphone and put it back in his pocket and gave a sigh before looking out the window sadly, Something the female officer noticed.
"Everything ok sir?" She asked with concern.
"It's a cruel cold night tonight"
(Meanwhile back in the hospital)
Adagio dazzle was pacing back and forth from the hospital while deep in thought. First she had a random teen just pop up out of nowhere to tell her precious information about the child she brought in the hospital earlier evening, only to find out he has no one left to call a family or people to call friends, and second of all his life is in danger because his older brother mugged the wrong person and paid the ultimate price for it.And now this monster is coming after him. In this situation Adagio has alot to think about and actions to take that could affect har career and her sisters, but it would be for a good cause. Adagio was smiling to herself thinking about the choices she would make when he wakes up.
Her train of thought was disturbed when she she heard two sets of feet running through the hospital and a feminine voice yelling her name. She turned to look towards the noise and she saw her two younger sisters running towards her with looks of concern on their faces.
"Adagio! are you alright?" said the second oldest sister, Aria blaze who stopped in front of her scanning her older sister for anything suspicious or injuries.
"I'm fine dear honestly." Adagio answered while hugging her sister close, something Aria returned.
"Are you sure your ok?" another voice asked this time coming from the youngest of the three, Sonata dusk, who had a sad look on her face. Adagio turned to face her younger sister and brought her in for a hug as well reassuring her that everything is fine with her and that she is well.
"So Dagi, why are you here then?" Aria asked her older sister.
Adagio sighed remembering the story she heard from Rio lights earlier on. But her sisters had to know the truth even though it's painful to talk about his story she had to tell them. "Well girls, it's about time i tell you a story" Adagio calmly spoke as she begun her tail.
(Moments later)
Adagio has finished telling the story and the looks on Sonata and Aria's faces told her that they understood how deep this goes.
"That poor kid, that's too harsh for a child to go through," Aria spoke with a sad look on her face.
"The poor sweetie sure had it rough huh, that's not how a child is supposed to grow up anyway" Sonata spoke quietly.
Adagio looked at how sad her sisters are after hearing the tale and could only frown slightly as well, until Aria spoke up.
"Say Sonata, that RIo lights teen, isn't he the same age or a year younger than you?" Aria asked her younger sister.
Sonata looked at Aria for a few seconds then she put a finger to her chin and began thinking about the name. " I mean the name rings a bell, but i have to see his face to remember anything else" Sonata sighed.
"That can come later dear, because right now the moment i have been waiting for is coming." Adagio spoke as she turned her back towards her sisters and was now facing the other doors were she the nurse who took the child in coming out. The nurse reached Adagio and before she could say anything she noticed the presence of her two younger sisters standing behind her looking at her.
"O-Oh my, this is a honor and pleasure to see all three members of the Dazzlings gathered here for a child" the nurse smiled warmly at the three, something they returned.
"So, how is the child's condition, is he gonna make it?" Adagio asked pleadingly. The nurse walked closer to the worrying woman and placed her hand on her shoulder.
"He's going to be ok, right now he's just sleeping, i thinks the poor dear has been through alot for the past couple of days" the nurse sighed. Adagio and her sisters looked a little sad after hearing that as they understood what that child has been through.
"But in any case, the young boy is going to make a full recovery and should be awake at some point tomorrow, if you would like you could come in the room and see him, i think he would not mind waking up to your warm faces." The nurse finished with a warm smile.
Adagio was happy at the idea but she remembered that her sisters were here as well so she turned to them to see them giving her a warm smile of there own and nodding there heads. "Are you two sure?" Adagio was surprised to say the least. Sonata gave her a beaming smile while Aria spoke up.
"It's cool Dagi, go see the boy and we will be here for support." Aria finished.
Adagio smiled warmly at her two younger sisters and went to hug them both.
"You girls are the best sisters an older sister could ask for!" Adagio was smiling widely.
The nurse smiled at this sight and thought to herself at how wonderful sibling bonds are. After a minute of hugging Adagio turned towards the nurse again and told her she was ready to see him. The nurse nodded her head in understanding and beckoned the three girls to follow her to which they did.
Outside the hospital entrance doors Rio lights was leaning against the wall looking up at the night sky while deep in thought.
"You know something, what you did was really risky and stupid!" A new voice spoke up which snapped the big teen out of his train of thought.
"How long you been here Neo glow?"
"Long enough to see and hear what happened" the dreadlocked teen walked out of the shadows and to Rio lights.
"Your usually antisocial one of the group, so i'm surprised to see you hear, but that's not the point, Rio turned his head to look at the dreadlock teen. Whose side are you on?" The big teen looked at Neo glow sternly. The dreadlock teen just closed his eyes and folded his arms.
"I'm always on the interesting side of things" Neo smirked.
"Humph, suite yourself" Rio lights walked past the dreadlock teen and and gave him a pat on the shoulder, "Interesting situation for sure" Rio smiled as he walked into the cold winter night.
"We will just have to wait and see how the whole thing plays out" and with that said Neo glow walked off into the night as well, both teens thinking about how the future will play out.
Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze, Sonata Dusk, and the nurse were currently walking through some hospital halls heading towards a certain room where there was a certain patient that Adagio was longing to see. A little boy who has had a really hard past life was beyond this hall waiting to heal. It felt like an eternity for Adagio, walking through this hall almost felt endless, almost like a challenge where there was a sweet reward at the end covered in warmth and and light. After what felt like hours of endless walking the nurse led the Dazzlings to a small patient room, inside this room was a small bed with its occupant being a small child who was plugged in to some machines so the nurses could check on his vital signs and monitor his heartbeat, which was beating very peacefully and healthy. Adagio saw the child sleeping in the bed and she smiled very warmly and lovingly at him as she approached his bedside and take in his peaceful form. She shed a single tear of joy as she heard his soft breathing and watching his chest slowly rise and fall. Aria and Sonata walked around his bed to stand on the other side. Sonata smiled sweetly at the child and spoke softly.
"He looks so precious" Sonata spoke softly while she kept her gaze on the child. Aria simply nodded her head and smiled warmly in response. Adagio was now rubbing the boy's hair very softly in her fingers as she kept her smile and gaze at the small child.
"He looks so peaceful now" Adagio turned towards the nurse who was standing at the door smiling at the three girls and child.
"Can i speak to you for a moment please Miss Adagio" The nurse asked.
Adagio looked at her with confusion on her face before the realisation hit her and she understood right away at what the nurse wanted to speak about. Adagio slowly got up and looked at the child some more before she shifted her gaze at her sisters who were watching the sleeping child.
"I'll be right back in a few minutes alright girls"Adagio spoke quietly. The other two girls nodded there heads in understanding. With that Adagio turned towards the nurse and walked out the door where she was currently waiting on the outside hallway. Once Adagio walked out the nurse gently closed the door and she turned to face Adagio who was standing there giving the nurse a warm smile, which she returned.
"I want to thank you for everything you have done for this child tonight, when i saw his condition earlier it broke my heart" Adagio spoke softly on the verge of tears. The nurse walked forward towards Adagio and put her hand on her shoulder.
"It was my pleasure dear i really mean it" she smiled sweetly at the puffy haired woman. "But it was perfect timing that you brought him in here when you did and for that i thank you, but on a serious note i need to to tell you something." The nurse looked at Adagio with a serious look on her face.
Adagio looked at her with confusion before she beckoned her to continue.
The nurse gave a small sigh before she continued. " I watched the news while i was working on the boy moments ago and a topic came up which broke my heart and it's something i need to tell you. Earlier this morning a body of a young teenager was discovered by his landlord. Turns out this teenager is the late older brother of that small child, his name was Cliff Dust, he was only fifteen years of age, i'm afraid he was murdered two nights ago in his home." The nurse finished slowly with a sad look on her face.
Adagio took this news hard as she gasped loudly and went wide eyed. With tears threatening to fall from her eyes. (So he was telling the truth!) Adagio spoke in her mind.
"I'm afraid it gets worse, that child has no family left, it turns out two years ago he lost his older sister in prison and and both his parents died in a accident around the same time, leaving him and his older brother orphans, now he just lost his big brother to crime and now he has absolutely no one left to call a family." The nurse spoke softly.
At this point Adagio almost lost her composure and she started shake a bit. " So that child really is all alone" She whispered.
"I'm afraid so, and what's more, it turns out this child has been missing for two days now, detective inspector Hard Stone has sent out news of this missing child with a name.."
"What's his name?" Adagio asked with tears streaming down her face.
"His name is Skid Dust, he's six years old, date of birth is March 7th 2010. He attended Canterlot high in the first grade. I called the good inspector and told him that we have Skid in the hospital and that he was found by you and Sunset earlier. I just tried calling the local orphanage but there is no space for him right now. So right now we are out of choices to where he will live and the inspector will be here any second now." The nurse finished and looked on with sorrow on her face.
Meanwhile Adagio was shaking even more at the news and had more tears streaming down her face. (So he was right all along and now this nurse tells me a more tragic version of the story) Adagio began clenching her fists and her teeth trying to suppress her tears but slowly losing the battle. The went over to comfort the distraught young woman just as a yell was heard throughout the hall.
"OK WHERE IS THE CHILD!?" yelled a very loud voice that got the nurse's attention and she looked down the hall to the very big inspecter himself marching down the hall towards the two.
The nurse's eyes widened at the inspector's arrival and gave him a small glare for being so loud. Meanwhile Adagio paid no attention to the big man as she continued to cry.
The inspector arrived in front of the two young women and looked down at Adagio with a stern look on his face before it became a look of concern and warmth. "Hey lass, come over here" he said warmly. Adagio slowly looked up and turned her head to see the big man looking down at her with a warm smile and one arm extended for a hug. Adagio quickly ran into the big man and slammed into his chest although this did not faze him, he welcomed it as he hugged her close.
"Un-uncle Hard Stone," Adagio cried. "It's not fair that a child like him has to go through all that pain!" Adagio yelled as she was hitting the big man's chest.
Hard Stone was rubbing up and down Adagio's back with his arm trying to calm down the crying woman. He shifted his gaze towards the nurse as he still held Adagio in his embrace. The nurse was currently standing back from the two, giving them space, but also staring at Adagio with a look of concern on her face.
"I take it you told her everything that had to be said?" Hard Stone asked the nurse.
"Of course sir, but i never expected this reaction from her. She really does care about that child." The nurse spoke softly.
"Excuse me for asking ma'm but what is your name?" Hard Stone asked the nurse as he still held Adagio in his arm who's crying was reduced to sniffles now.
"My name is Healing Heart sir" The nurse spoke.
"Well miss Healing Heart, thank you for everything you have done for Skid Dust tonight, you have helped the young lad in a small way." Hard Stone nodded his head with a small smile on his face.
Healing Heart nodded her head with a smile on her as well. Hard Stone then looked down at Adagio who was now completely calm and was now enjoying the big man's warmth.
"You ok lass"? Hard Stone asked. Adagio slowly looked up to see the warm smiling face of the bigger man looking down at her. Adagio gave the man a small smile in return and spoke with a quiet voice.
"I'm ok now uncle Hard Stone" She said as she separated from the man.
"You're the dazzlings uncle?" Healing Heart had to ask. The inspector sighed while Adagio gave him a small smile, then she turned towards the the confused nurse.
"It's a long story to tell, i'll shorten it for you. You see my friend Sunset shimmer, well she has a son of her own who is around the same age as Skid, That's Uncle Hard Stone's grandchild. And because i'm really close to her and all the rainbooms, we all call him uncle Hard Stone because he is are biggest supporter and are biggest protector, plus three members of the Rainbooms are moms now, so he helps look out for them when he can." Adagio finished with a smile on her face, while inspector Hard Stone had a grumpy look on his face.
Healing Heart smiled warmly at the two. "Well that's very sweet of you sir" she said.
"Yeah yeah i'm no good with compliments so let's skip the cute stuff and get on with the business at hand here" Hard Stone spoke.
Adagio and Healing Heart both frowned at the inspector's bluntness and just sighed, but before anything could be said the door burst open with Sonata yelling.
"HE'S WAKING UP HE'S WAKING UP!!" Sonata yelled happily. This made Adagio and the nurse gasp. Adagio ran into the room to see Aria watching Skid Dust intently. She made it to his bedside to see him start to stir in his sleep. Skid dust began to slowly open his eyes and groan before opening his eyes fully to see the loving smile of Adagio Dazzle looking straight at him.
"Hey there sweetheart. How you feeling?" Adagio asked sweetly.
Skid Dust just laid there staring at Adagio before he began to sit up in his bed to look around the room to get a better sense of surrounding for him. He looked around the room for a few seconds scanning everything with his eyes, after a few moments he stopped and looked straight at Adagio who was still giving him a loving smile.
"You feeling any better sweetheart?" Adagio asked again. Skid Dust just looked at her for a few seconds before nodding his head very slowly.
"D-do you people know where my older brother is?" Skid asked in a small voice. All of a sudden a look of dread spread across three people's faces in the room. Adagio began to slowly tear up as she hugged the little boy stunning him for a few seconds, from Healing Heart looking down in sorrow, and finally Hard Stone who just faced the other way hiding his face with his long hair. This confused Aria and Sonata alot.
"I'm afraid your brother has passed on sweetie" Adagio spoke with new sets of tears coming down her face.
Skid dust's eyes widened at this news. "Wh-wh-what do you mean".
The following morning, in a certain hospital room slept four occupants. Two members of the Dazzlings Aria and Sonata slept sitting on some chairs while Sonata leaned her head on Aria's shoulder. Meanwhile Adagio was by a bedside with both her arms crossed on the bed with her head leaned against them sleeping. Inside the bed slept Skid Dust who had his body under the blankets and his head buried in his pillow, with his long green hair being very messy. The morning sun was beginning to break through the hospital room's window and shine it's light in the room. It first hit Adagio causing her to slowly stir in her sleep. She slowly opened her eyes and groaned softly as she sat up gently and raised her hands to rub at her eyes to get rid of the sleepiness in them. Once she was done doing that she began to slowly look around the room and her eyes stopped at her two younger siblings sleeping on the pair of chairs on the other side of the room. She smiled at her two younger siblings and let out a sigh. She turned her head towards the door to see it closed, blocking her view to see the outside. Adagio the faced the desk that was next to her and she saw two pieces of paper on top of each other. Out of curiosity she picked them up and scanned them. After about a minute of reading she put the papers down and smiled sweetly to herself as she remembered the earlier events of the morning, although all was not positive, Adagio did earn something, or someone very precious from the event. She shifted her gaze towards the bed and smiled very warmly at the little boy sleeping in it. Last night Adagio decided to adopt this poor child because he was all alone, he had no family left to call his own, and his only other living family member was suddenly taken from him two days ago in cold blood. It made Adagio's heartbreak after hearing the story about this child and how he had a tough life for the past two years. But everything is now going to change. He was her son now and she and her sisters swore to raise him and love him right. Right now all Adagio wanted to do was cuddle with her new son and let him know that he had a new family to care for him where his old family left off. She slowly stretched both her arms towards the bed and with one of her hands she slowly and gently slid the covers of her sleeping son. She then put both her arms under the sleeping child and very gently she lifted him up towards her chest where she cradled him in her arms. She looked down at him with a very loving and caring smile on her face. She watched him snuggle up into her chest and get comfortable some more, while watching him she felt great pride in herself, here she was caring for her own child in her arms and in a way protecting him from the dangers of the outside world by holding him in her arms. She thought to herself on how her own mother and father felt when she was only a baby. She must have been the most fragile thing in the world back then, kinda like how Skid is to her now. With that thought done she slowly turned and walked towards her sisters who were still sleeping. She got to them and very carefully she went down to one knee in front of them still cradling Skid in her arms.
"Aria, Sonata, c mon girls it's time to wake up" Adagio said softly. This caused the two sleeping girls to stir in there sleep. Sonata opened her eyes slightly to see a very blurry Adagio kneeling on one knee in front of them holding something in her arms. Sonata focused her eyes for a few more moments before she realized what her older sister was holding and she shot up instantly, headbutting Aria along the way, but she paid her sister no mind as her attention was now on someone else. She got out of her chair and crouched in front of Adagio and started to smile sweetly at a still sleeping Skid in her arms. Moments after Aria fully got up whilst rubbing her chin, annoyed that Sonata headbutted her. She was about to give her a piece of her mind, but once her vision settled on what was in front of her, all her frustrations instantly left and was replaced with warmth and love as she saw her older sister in front of her cradling her new nephew. She got down to Adagio's level and smiled sweetly at the sleeping child.
"He looks so peaceful Dagi". Aria spoke softly. Adagio smiled in return and looked down at her son who was still sleeping peacefully in her arms. Sonata who was still smiling sweetly at him got a bit closer and asked Adagio a question.
"Hey Dagi, could i maybe hold my new little nephew maybe for a couple of minutes?" She asked sweetly. Adagio thought about this for a second before she gave her younger sister a confirming smile.
"Of course dear, but do be careful with him" Adagio warned Sonata.
This caused Sonata to squee quietly before she stretched both her arms forward towards the still sleeping child in Adagio's arms. Adagio slowly moved him towards her sister's arms and gently laid him down on her where she brought him to her chest and cradled him like Adagio did. She looked down at his sleeping form and could not help but squee at how cute he looked. She still could not believe he was now apart of her family. Just like Adagio, she was also happy that he became apart of there trio, but also devastated at what she heard about what he had to go through with his older brother before he met his untimely end 2 days ago.
"Hey girls, i'm going to find the nurse and ask her when we can leave with this little one. As you now know we have alot to think about this week, plus what are the girls gonna think about this, and more importantly, what are mom, dad, and the other family are gonna think about this. So it's best if we could take him home and plan things out step by step for the coming week." Adagio said.
"True, plus a lot of shopping is in order as well don't forget. I doubt the kid had a lot of things to go on considering he only relied on his older brother for the past 2 years, and from what i heard from you earlier this morning, him and his brother barely made it" Aria sadly looked at her sleeping nephew in Sonata's arms. Sonata nodded her in agreement as she looked at the sleeping child with a frown on her face.
"We gotta make sure he gets things he missed out on in his early years. He already got a new family which is us. Sonata beckoned to Aria, Adagio, and herself. Now all he needs is things he likes". Sonata spoke with a small smile on her face. Adagio who was now standing by the door of Skid's hospital room looked at her younger sister and nodded her head in agreement.
"Yes dear i agree with you 100% but we can think about that later, right now you girls stay with my boy while i go find miss. Healing Heart." And with that said Adagio left the room to find the nurse while she left her son in the loving hands of her two younger sisters.
(Meanwhile. Inside an apartment building.)
Rio lights. Aka Knucklehead was sitting down on a large couch in a living room deep in thought about what transpired earlier that morning. He had alot of things on his mind regarding that child, his friend Turban, and the now deceased Morrison. Either one he thought about just ended up putting a frown on his face. Two frustrating events happened this week that really got under his skin. Plus now he's gotta hide the truth about Skid's whereabouts from his friend Turban and his fellow gang mates, because he knows what would happen if he caught wind of his location. And let's just say that more unnecessary lives will be in danger. As he was still sitting there deep in thought. BOOOOOM!!!
There was a massive crash sound and glass breaking and scattering just behind one of the doors in the apartment. He could only sigh and facepalm as he got up and walked towards the door where the noise came from. As he stopped right in front of the door, he heard a muffled teen voice coming from the other side. He just sighed again and decided to open the door to inspect the inside of a medium sized messy room.
What he saw only made him facepalm again. In the middle of the room was a medium sized red rug with flame designs on that covered half the middle floor. And to the left of the room was a broken bunk bed that looked completely smashed and destroyed, with the wood sticking out in odd directions. And to top it all off under the broken bed was a teen around Rio light's age just lying there face down cursing a few frustrated words.
"C mon Roa Wing, that's the third time you broke the bed this week, and there goes another glass cup." Rio points towards a shattered glass cup all over the floor near the bed. The teen lying on the floor still faced down said a few more cursed words before he finally bothered to look up.
"Fuck this Rio i'm done" Roa frowned before pushing the broken bed of him causing dust to fly everywhere. Now that Roa Wing was standing his appearance was also more clear. He has slight darker skin than Rio Lights, with medium long dark green shaggy hair where the back just about reached the bottom of his neck and the side pasted his ears, almost touching his shoulders. The front of his hair covered his forehead completely and it reached just in front of both his red eyes. For his clothes he wore a black hoodie with the word LEGEND written in yellow on the front, a long pair of camo shorts that reached his knees. The shorts were being kept up by a plain black belt. On his feet he wore a pair of plain black sneakers. And on his hands he wore fingerless gloves. He was also just about shorter than Rio Lights.
"So Rio. Care to tell me where you were in the early hours of the morning?". Roa asks the bigger teen completely ignoring his annoyed look and the mess he just caused.
Rio lights just sighed once more before looking at the other teen, waiting for his answer. " I was out doing things with the guys.. you know.. the usual." He spoke with a hint of nervousness in his voice.
"You mean you were with that no good snuck up little shit and his brainless followers right?" Roa had a serious look on his face behind his hair.
Rio flinched at the other teen's seriousness for a few seconds. "Look, it was nothing like that at all, it was a casual night out." He said, completely hiding the fact that he witnessed Turban kill someone right in front of him.
Roa began to smirk slightly. " You think i'm stupid don't you bro. I know too well what Turban does around these streets. Plus i told you countless times to watch your back and stay away from him and that crowd havant i?" Roa Wing walked up to Rio Lights with glare on his face, something that caught him off guard before he returned the glare with his own.
"Why do you care right now? i mean you never seemed interested in what i did in the past so why now!?" Rio was raising his voice a little at this point which did not faze Roa in anyway.
Roa Wing softened his gaze for a bit before speaking up. "I always cared about your safety but you being stubborn and always distant from your family always made it hard to approach you. So i decided to give you space and let you do your own thing, as you did for me. One last thing, i also know how strong you are , you never come back home with bruises on your face." Roa pointed a finger to the right cheek or Rio Lights, which had a bruise from last night's action with Morrison. Rio looked a bit surprised from this. He always knew he strong, a bit to strong for someone his age, so that made him in a way have a slight high pain tolerance than others his age. He should know this considering he has been through so many street fights in life.
"Listen,Roa Wing began speaking again. I don't know what happened this morning, and to be honest, i don't care what happened because it's not my business to know what your doing. But it is my business to make sure that my little brother is safe and unharmed. And right now. I can tell something is hurting you from the inside. So tell me the truth, Roa Wing got right up to Rio. What happened this morning!?" Roa Wing brought back his glare.
Rio was taken aback by his statement before he sighed once more and looked at his big brother's eyes. " What do you wanna know?".
(Meanwhile. At Twilight Sparkle's house.)
The morning sun was beginning to break through the window in the guest room where Sunset Shimmer and her son Fire Stone slept. The bright light was starting to reach Sunset's face, which caused her to slowly stir in her sleep. She opened her eyes softly and groaned before slowly sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Once she got her bearings together she looked down to her right to see the most precious person in her life. She smiled sweetly at her son who was still sleeping peacefully next to her. She sighed warmly as she thought about the things that she wanted to do with him now that she was back from her tour with the Dazzlings and now had some free time to herself. She continued to smile at her son as she slowly bent her head down and gave a tender kiss on Fire Stone's head. "Mommy is back home now baby" Sunset whispered softly to her sleeping child. Sunset then got out of bed and stretched her body to relax her still tired muscles. Once that was done she made her way towards the large closet where her clothes were neatly folded. She took of her sleeping clothes and put them back into the closet, then she got changed into her regular clothes. When she was done she was about to go out the door to see if anyone else was awake but then she heard her son beginning to stir in his sleep, Sunset smiled and walked towards the bed to surprise her child.
Fire Stone finally began to open his eyes and gave out a small yawn as he rubbed his eyes with both his hands. Once he was done he sat up and moved his long red hair out of face and grumbled because he was still sleepy. He looked around the room for a few seconds before his tired gaze finally fell on something he was longing to see. He instantly woke up as he saw his mother by the bedside smiling very motherly at him. He instantly shot out of bed and went to his mom who was waiting with open arms. "MOTHER!! YOU'RE BACK HOME!" Fire Stone cried as he hugged his mother tightly. Sunset returned the hug with equal force and love. " You have no idea how much i have missed you sweetheart. Oh i've missed you so so much" Sunset was on the verge of tears as she continued holding her child against her. They continued to hold each other for another minute before Sunset pulled back the hug and looked down at Fire Stone, still with a smile on her face. "Have you been a good boy for auntie Twi?" Sunset asked her son.
Fire Stone nodded his head with a cute smile on his face." Of course mother. I even helped her and spike around the house and i behaved alot." Fire Stone said excitedly. Sunset chuckled and rested her right hand on Fire Stone's head and begun to ruffle his hair. "That's my boy. Tell you what, once we leave and go home, let me settle in for a few days. Then after that we can spend some time together and have fun, how does that sound?." Sunset smiled at her son. Fire Stone's eyes lit up like diamonds and he nodded his head vigorously. Sunset laughed at her son's action and brought him in for another hug, which he returned.
"Ok sweetheart, how about you go and wash yourself up and i will meet you downstairs for breakfast." Sunset patted his shoulder. Fire Stone saluted his mother and immediately left the room and headed straight to the bathroom. Sunset sighed happily as she watched her son leave the room and thought about the things she would do with him to make up for lost time with him. Sunset decided to make her way out the room and headed down the stairs and she made her way towards the kitchen where she saw Twilight cooking some breakfast and Spike setting up the table with plates and cups.
"Morning guys" Sunset smiled. Spike and Twilight looked her way and both smiled her way. "Morning". They both spoke in unison. Sunset gave a small chuckle at them and she decided to seat herself at the table.
"Was it a lovely moment with Fire Stone.? Twilight asked. Sunset nodded her head and sighed happily. " You have no idea how happy he was when he saw me this morning." Sunset smiled at Twilight. She returned the smile and went back to her cooking. A few minutes later Fire Stone who was all washed up and changed came downstairs and entered the kitchen, catching everyone else's attention. Sunset went wide eyed at how he looked. He had his red hair tied back into a long ponytail,and he was wearing a long sleeved black button up shirt with a red lion head on the left side, white long baggy pants, and a pair of black boots. Twilight and Spike both looked impressed while Sunset clasped her hands together and smiled at her son's appearance. "My, what's the special occasion"? Twilight chuckled. Fire Stone just stood there and smiled. "My mom is back home, so i decided to look nice and present myself properly like she and you both taught me." Fire Stone finished with a toothy grin and a thumbs up. Twilight smiled and gave him a thumbs up herself while Sunset just stared at him with a very warm smile on her face. " Come over here you." Sunset beckoned him to come over, which he followed. Once he arrived to her she immediately picked him up and rested him on her lap where she proceeded to hug him tightly. Spike who was silent the entire time was watching with a small smile on his face. "I'm happy for the both of you."Spike said sweetly. Twilight agreed with her son.
Once Sunset was done hugging her son she proceeded to let him down from her lap so he could take his own seat to eat breakfast. After an interesting breakfast which was mostly filled with laughter and chatter, the grown ups told there respected sons to leave them be because there was something Sunset had to speak to Twilight about. Something very important.
"So. What do you need to talk to me about.?" Asked Twilight.
"Last night Adagio found a child who was really hurt so we both decided to take him to the hospital." Sunset finished.
"Oh my Goodness. I hope the dear is alright." Twilight spoke with a sad look on her face.
"So do i Twilight. So do i" Sunset spoke while thinking about last night's events.
(Meanwhile. Back at the hospital.)
Aria, and Sonata were currently on standby in Skid Dust's room waiting for Hard Stone to come and pick them up from the hospital and take them home. Just minutes ago the nurse Healing Heart gave Adagio the all clear for her to take home her newly adopted son. She was more than pleased with this news. It was like christmas has come early for her, but to say the least, Skid Dust's story is far from a christmas tail,( You already know this by now, anyway) Adagio had alot of things planned for her new child, but she was going to take things step by step, so she would not overwhelm herself with activities, considering that's the kinda life her and her sisters live as celebrities. But now something important has happened in her life, something magical in her opinion. She has a son now and she was going to give him all the time in the world and put her career on a temporary hiatus.
Skid Dust has not to long ago woken up, but the weird thing is that instead of waking up in his hospital bed, he woke up in the arms of Sonata Dusk, who was looking down at him with a look full of love and care. At first he was confused, but then he began to warm up to her and Aria and he began to enjoy there company. Adagio walked back into the room to the most adorable sight ever. Skid was currently sitting on Aria's lap while she straightened his hair and Sonata was crouched in front of him, making him smile and occasionally chuckle by being her silly goofy self. This put a big smile On Adagio's face as she watched her sisters interact with their new family member. She walked up to the three and looked down at them especially her adopted son with a warm smile on her face. Skid looked up at the young woman smiling at him and for some reason he just froze and many things were starting to play in his head . His mind was a complete mess at the moment. Shrouded in darkness with no light to be seen, just pitch black. Then images of past events came to view, each image had something in common. Each of them were past happy events. He could see himself sitting with his original family, all laughing and having fun together. More and more images began to play, showing more happy memories, and they became clearer to. One image showed him and his family in a group picture. His father was a big man with a well built figure. He had short dark blond spiky hair and and brown eyes. He stood taller than the others. He was at the back and he was smiling warmly. Next to him was a name.(Cobalt Dust.) Next was his mother. She was a beautiful woman with long elegant black hair, and a nice body figure any man would like. She had sky blue eyes like Skid and she stood next to her husband, smiling sweetly. Next to her was also a name.( Sapphire Dust.) Now was his older sister. Like her mother she was also very beautiful. She had long flowing red hair and beautiful red eyes. She also had a nice body figure. Her name.( Marble Dust.) Next was his older brother. He had medium long dark green spiky hair. He had a lean firm build for a boy his age. He stood next to his sister with both eyes shut and he a had a big toothy grin on his face with both his hands raised doin the peace sign. His name( Cliff Dust.) Skid Dust was standing in front of both his siblings with a cute smile on his face. He looked at this image with a small smile on his face, until something strange began to happen. His older sister began to fade away slowly. Skid watched this in horror as he tried to reach out for her but he couldn't reach. She continued to fade until she was barely seen, moments after she disappeared completely. Skid just stood there teary eyed at this event until he heard her voice with a soft echo to it. " You are my precious little brother, and i love you." Until it was silence. Then he saw his mother begining to fade just like his sister. He stood helplessly as he watched her fade until she was completely gone like his sister. But like his sister he heard her voice with an echo to it as well." It doesn't matter where i am or where you are, just know that i will always be with you my precious baby Dust." Just like before there was total silence. Then Skid saw his father begining to fade until he was gone. Then he heard his voice for one last time as well. " Grow up to be a big strong healthy man and take on life with gusto." Then there was silence. Only Cliff remained. Skid watched his older brother for a few moments until just like the other three, he too began to fade. Skid just watched helplessly crying unable to do anything until Cliff was gone. But just like the others he left one final message. "You gotta always keep moving forward no matter what."
There was complete silence, complete darkness. Skid just stayed where he was completely alone, with no one to lean on, or to guide him down the right path. Until the darkness in front of him began to light up and one silhouette began coming towards him. It got closer and closer until he could recognise the darkened form. The form began to light up and reveal itself to be Adagio Dazzle staring at him with a warm smile on her face. Skid watched her still form for moments until he saw two more silhouettes come out from behind her and took a place on both her left and right sides. He watched as these forms slowly brightened up to reveal her two younger sisters Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk both also smiling warmly at him and not moving. Then the light behind them began to shine bright and engulf the four of them completely. As Skid was blinded by the light he heard a very soft warm voice speak in his mind. "You have only known pain and suffering. But now you must heal." The voice spoke in warmth that filled Skid to his core and helped him relax as the light finally engulfed him, snapping him back to reality.
Skid Dust snapped out of his trance like state and saw his new mother looking at him with a very worried look on her voice. "Oh my goodness dear you almost gave me a heart attack." Adagio spoke very worriedly. Skid saw the genuine care behind her words and eyes and he could not contain his emotions anymore as he lept out of Aria's lap and straight to Adagio crying. This caught the poofy haired woman by surprise as it did the other the two girls, but she immediately snapped out of it. She crouched down to Skid's level and brought him in for a tight hug to calm him. Adagio was whispering comforting words and trying to calm him down. Aria And Sonata looked at him very worryingly and wanted to move and help him, but Adagio saw them and she s gave them the look silently saying she got this under control. Both sisters decided to stay put but they both still looked at him with worry on there faces. Adagio continued to hold Skid in her embrace for several minutes until his crying was softened to an eventual stop. Adagio pulled back from the hug to look at her son who was looking up at her with his now shiny blue eyes.
"Are you ok sweetheart?" Adagio looked at Skid with some worry in her eyes.
Skid just looked at her for a few seconds before answering. "I-im fine now m- mom" Skid hesitantly spoke that last word.
Adagio instantly wore a look of surprise on her face as she heard Skid speak those last words.
"W-what did you just call me.?" She stuttered as tears were starting to sting her eyes.
Skid said nothing as he went back into her embrace and sighed softly. "thank you...mom." He spoke that word again.
Adagio could not hold her tears back anymore as she held Skid Dust tightly in her arms. " Oh i love you so much my child" Adagio spoke while crying softly and holding her son tightly. A hug that was soon followed by Aria and Sonata.
"I love all. Skid said happily while he was in the warm embraces of the Dazzlings.. his new family. Finally. Skid Dust was beginning to heal.
Adagio, her sisters, and her new son remained in the group hug for some time before they slowly began to separate with Adagio looking down at Skid with a warm smile on her face, with Skid returning the smile. "So sweetheart Adagio began speaking warmly, i just spoke with the nurse and she said it's ok for us to take you home with us" Adagio began gesturing to herself and her two sisters who both were smiling at Skid. He gave a little nod with his head and continued smiling cutely at his three new adopted family members. "Now all we need to do is find you some clothes you can put on until later, then i can take you to go and see a very close friend of ours." Adagio rose from Skid just as nurse Healing Heart came into Skid's room carrying some clothes that was neatly folded in her arms. "I should not be doing this, but as this boy came to the hospital homeless last night it would not be right to keep him in those ragged clothes he was wearing, so i took it upon myself to fetch him some clothes until you can get him new ones." Healing Heart smiled at Adagio and the other two. Adagio walked up to the nurse and thanked her for her kindness. She proceeded to take the clothes and crouched down to Skid's level and gave him them.
"Now sweetheart, the lovely nurse here was kind enough to give you some spare clothes to put on instead of you having to wear those ripped ragged ones you had last night." Adagio smiled warmly at him. Skid smiled and spoke in a quiet small voice.
" Thank you for the clothes miss nurse." He bowed his head to show respect. The other girls smiled some more at this action.
"Oh that is quite alright dear, i was happy to help." Nurse Healing Heart spoke with warmth in her voice. She then called Adagio and her sisters to come outside the room for a couple of minutes to give Skid some privacy so he could change. Adagio gave him one more hug and told him she and the girls will be right back in a moment. She then got up and walked towards the door were her sisters and the nurse were waiting for her. She got to the door and gave one more warm smile towards Skid and proceeded to close the door gently, leaving him all alone in the room. Skid was left alone in his thoughts, his mind was in the process of processing all these new events that happened to him overnight. He did not know how to feel, his young mind was full of different emotions. This poor soul had gained a new family, which meant new possibilities for the future.. But it came at a horrible price, now Skid Dust has to learn to adapt and embrace these changes with his head held up high, but it wont be easy. Images of Skid's old family still linger in his head, those faces, plastered with smiles and joy, something he will never see again. Everytime he thinks about them the more pain he feels in his young heart. Slowly tears once again built up in his eyes and began to fall down his cheeks in shiny fashion falling towards the floor. Skid gritted his teeth together as he silently wept for his deceased family once more. He fell to his knees gripping the clothes his new mom gave him tightly in his arms for some comfort and warmth from the cold ice feeling he felt inside. Then suddenly the sun outside shone its majestic light through his hospital room even brighter, creating a spotlight with him in the middle of it. Still on his knees Skid slowly looked up towards the light and saw something that made him go wide eyed. In the sky directly where the sun was he saw them, his deceased family's faces smiling down at him. Those warm smiles making the light shine brighter,it almost felt the same as what happened in his mind, when he saw them one last time, now he is seeing them in the real world, well there spirits anyway. For one last time his family appeared and said there goodbyes, shining there bright light and warmth through Skid. The only remaining dust left.
There was a soft knock on the door followed by an equally soft voice. "Skid, sweetie, is everything ok in there?" asked Adagio with some worry in her voice. Skid got up and quickly wiped the tears from his eyes and face, then in a clear small voice spoke. "I-i'm fine mother, just got some things to do is all." He said softly but loud enough for Adagio to hear. There was a happy sigh from the other side of the door, Ok sweetie, i'm right here if you need me alright.?"
"Yes mom". Skid added. He then heard footsteps slowly walking away from the other side. He slowly wiped his face once more and looked up out his window towards the sun hoping to see the familiar faces, but to his disappointment they were not there, but instead of forming fresh tears, a small smile formed on his face.
(Thank you so much for everything. I will make you guys proud..Even if your gone physically, you live on in memories.) Skid softly smiled to himself, and with some new happy tears in his eyes he gave the sky a big thumbs up. " And that's a promise."
Chapter two. The fated encounter
Along the night road inside a shiny black range rover, Adagio dazzle, the lead singer of the really popular music trio, "The Dazzlings", sat behind the steering wheel of the car. And next to her sat her good childhood friend Sunset shimmer. another well known singer with the reputation of being a model citizen of Canterlot city who always likes to help out others in need, like the homeless, or playing with kids at the local orphanage, amongst other good deeds. Adagio was currently driving along the streets of canterlot with a confused look on her face. About five minutes ago she felt a strange cold feeling on her cheek which just came out of nowhere. She did not have the car windows open, so it couldn't of been from the weather outside. She began to quickly look around the roof of the car to see if there was any leaks anywhere, but there wasn't.
"Strange" she softly said.
"What was that?" Sunset turned to look at Adagio with a confused look on her face.
"Oh it's nothing dear, i'm just thinking about nonsense again" she sighed softly. But Sunset knew something was up, after all she was her friend, a close one at that. Whenever Adagio and her two younger sisters would go on tours to promote a new album they would be doing, or be inside a recording studio for days, rehearsing any new songs, or even preparing to do live shows for screaming adoring fans, Sunset would always be there, backstage, or traveling with them on their long tours, the results would always be stressful for the poofy haired girl. After all she always got the full blunt of things for being the lead singer of the band. That meant she had to do more paperwork, rehearse more lines, and stay up for long hours or even the whole nights making plans and designing outfits for her and her younger siblings. Adagio does enjoy what she does, but it always adds stress to the poor woman, for the amount of work she has to put in and the little times she can actually have a break can be so overwhelming on her. So anytime she has an opportunity to go out and be free like this, she jumps the gun and goes in a heartbeat. But something right now is off, and sunset wants to get to bottom of it.
"Care to tell me what's really wrong? dagio" Sunset asked her friend with a slight frown on her face.
Adagio fliched slightly at her friend's frown and sighed again "I just can't help but wonder what that feeling was a moment ago", she gave off a worried look.
Sunset's frown changed into a look of worry and concern. "What kind of feeling was it?, asked Sunset.
"I just got this strange horrible chill on my cheek" she spoke softly.
"Did it just come out of nowhere?", asked Sunset with worry on her face,
"Yes i think so. I looked around the front of the car and even the roof, but there is nothing out of the ordinary in here, and it was nothing from outside, all the windows are shut!", she finished.
Now Sunset was worried. "Are you sure its nothing wrong with you?" she asked worryingly.
"Sunset what are you asking?" Adagio asked surprisingly, with a frown on her face.
"I'm just worried about your health that's all. Sunset nervously said. Think about it she followed up, you work to hard for hours and you rarely take breaks, but when you do they are too short!. If you keep on overworking like you do, you are bound to get health problems!" Sunset finished with a frown on her face.
Adagio realised she had a good point. "But dear! i have to work hard in order for us to have success, it cannot just be simply handed to us, she stated, and i can't just let Sonata or Aria take over, that would be selfish of me. So as the oldest i took responsibility to work the hardest and carry most of the weight!" She finished with a jolt of pride in her voice.
Sunset just simply facepalmed at what Adagio just said. "I know you choose to do all that!, but you have to think about your health when you work to hard dagio, it's gonna catch up on you eventually." Sunset finished.
Adagio just rolled her eyes and sighed. Deep down she knew that her friend was right and one day she will have to slow down to think about her health. She sighed again. "Your right Sunset, i do need to cut it down a little" she chuckled.
Sunset gave her friend a warm smile, "i'm only looking out for my good friend," she gave Adagio a warm smile while placing her hand on her shoulder.
Adagio smiled at her friend for looking out for her well being and keeping her company in this cold night. " Thank you dear" she said warmly.
Sunset gave her a soft pat on her shoulder with a warm smile still on her face. "Your welcome anytime dagio." Now how about we get some grub, i'm famished" she said with a small chuckle.
Adagio just rolled her eyes at her friend and just continued smiling, forgetting about that feeling she got on her cheek minutes ago. "Ok dear, you have any place in particular you want to go to?" She asked her hungry friend.
"Hmm Sunset thought for a minute. How about that nice kebab place just 5 minutes away from here?"
"Ooh that sounds like a fine idea!. i have not had a decent kebab in ages" she excitedly said as she thought about the delicious food which almost made her mouth water.
Sunset gave a small chuckle at her friend's reaction excitement. "Arnt we getting excited!" Sunset laughed.
Adagio just stuck her tongue at her fiery head friend as she drove downtown towards a small market area.
(Meanwhile)
Inside an alleyway right in the open, lay the body of a young teen who was murdered in cold blood just minutes ago. He lay there with both his eyes closed, hiding the shock and horror inside those lids. His neck had a deep line going across it which had blood leaking from it, staining his black hoodie. His form was like an angel, both his arms spread wide, and his legs were uneven, one was straight while the other one was bent. Just minutes ago this was a happy teen, full of positivity even though it rubbed one teen the wrong way, it was still proof that he was not a negative person, he was full of energy. For it to be taken away by a click of a finger, an air trigger no less.
Unbeknownst to that teen and the seven others that were present, they were not the only ones that was a part of that chaos. One more person was watching the chaos from the shadows. Behind some trash cans, near the entrance to the large space was a silhouette of a small child. This child was only small and judging by its body movement it was shaking, a lot, also crying could be heard, with small sniffles and shallow breathing. This child was scared to death at what it saw, who could blame it, it just witnessed a murder and a violent fight.
The child began to get up to its feet and slowly move out from the shadows behind its cover. The child stepped into the light to reveal its clothing and gender, a young messy looking boy with long dark green spiky hair with the front covering his eyes, the sides resting on his shoulders, and the back just passing the bottom of his neck. He wore a torn up green sleeveless vest with a red t-shirt underneath, and a pair of long dark green shorts, and a pair of ripped white sneakers, showing his small toes. His tanned face was covered with scars and scratches , with additional bruises forming on his right cheek and the side of his jaw. He looked roughed up pretty badly. He began to slowly move his small form from behind his cover with his left hand clutching a piece of paper and his right hand leaning against a brick wall keeping him supported as he slowly limped his way towards the open.
He looked to his left and to his right observing the area around him as he nervously began moving towards the pathway that leads towards the main town. he ignored the dead body that was in the light as he trudged towards the exit. When he got into the middle of the tight alleyway the wind blew viciously which caused the little boy to clutch his vest for warmth and his hair to blow all over the place, revealing his bloodshot blue eyes, which still had tears streaming down his eyes as he continued to make his way towards the town. When he got to the entrance and, or in his case the exit to alley, he looked around for any signs of life, but there were not too many people about as it was late at night, and the only people who were around were just finishing up in their stores or doing late night shopping.
The little boy was about to make his move when he felt a sharp pain in his leg and collapsed to the ground with a thud. He sat on his bum with tears streaming down his face as he clutched his leg which was in intense pain, and he was too weak to call for help, and there were not that many people out to see him anyway. As he was about to lose hope, he heard a loud feminine gasp, "OH MY STARS!!" the female voice shouted. This made the little boy almost jump out of his skin and look up from his leg to see a poofy haired woman crouching right in front him with a look of sadness mixed with horror on her face. "Oh my sweetheart she spoke softly what has happened to you??" she reached her hand forward, but the child instantly recoiled back with fear as more tears began to fall from his face.
Adagio saw this and stopped her hand's movement. "Don't worry dear, i won't hurt you!" she spoke softly. The child heard the innocence in her voice and stopped his movement. He looked at Adagio giving him a caring look and he began to cry very hard. This caused Adagio's heart to break and she leant forward and embraced the small broken child. "shhhhh sh sh! she hushed softly dont worry sweetheart, you're safe now!"she whispered softly as she rubbed his back softly.
On a roof, looking down at the hugging duo, was the silhouette of a teen standing on the edge of the roof.
"So....you still live!".
Chapter seven- Life changing choices.
"What do you mean?" was the only question the poor child asked, the question that would bring so much pain and even more suffering than understanding, a question three people in the hospital room was hoping to avoid. Did this child not know his brother's fate?, was he sent out of the house just before the tragedy happened?, so much questiones were going through three people's heads right now. But right now those questiones did not matter. There was a broken child who needed comforting, who needed to be told the truth, and more importantly... who needed to be loved. Adagio was currently holding the confused child in a firm hug while he looked at her confused with his blue eyes. He looked from Adagio to the other two Dazzlings looking at him warmly, to the nurse Healing Heart who was checking his vital sighns from a computer. Then his gaze finally landed on the other occupant who was in the room. The large inspector who was currently sitting down on a chair with his hands on his face rubbing up and down very slowly. Skid Dust then looked at Adagio once again who was still giving the little boy a warm hug. He wanted to hug her back for hugging him, but right now his mind was at another place. He wanted to know where his brother was, if he was okay, and if he knew where he was and was on his way to pick him up and tell him that everything was going to be ok. But apart of him knew that was not the case, but he still had to ask, he had to know if he was truly alone.
"Where is my older brother? is he here like i am?". This question caused Adagio to flinch a bit. She slowly broke the embrace and looked down at Skid who was giving her a confused look.
"Listen sweetie. I'm afraid your brother is not here anymore. He's moved on to the next life to join the others." Adagio spoke sadly. Skid Dust looked at her with widened eyes and his blue orbs began to go shiny and misty.
"S-so i-i-i'm all alone now?" that question made everyone in the room tense up and look at the boy sadly, except the inspector. He just looked on with a small frown on his face. Adagio began to slowly shed tears once again and tried to explain to the boy the situation, but she was struggling alot and was finding it hard to hold herself straight, something the inspector noticed. He got up from his chair and made his way towards the puffy haired girl and broken little boy to explain the situation more clearly. After all it is his job to speak to victims and other people about sad events. But that does not mean he finds joy in it. He just had to keep a straight face to hide his emotions. It was his job after all.
Once he made it to the bedside he reached his hand down and touched adagio on her shoulder. "Let me take over from here lass, i'll tell him." Adagio slowly turned her head slightly to look at the inspector giving her a soft look. Adagio nodded slowly and turned her head towards Skid who was looking at the big man sadly. She leaned her head in to give the child a small kiss on his forehead which caused the small child to look up at adagio with a small curious look before she turned and approached her sisters who were watching with sad looks on there faces the entire time.
Hard Stone slowly knelt down to the boy's bedside as he looked up at the big man with some fear in his eyes, something Hard Stone saw. "Listen here son, my name is Detective inspector Hard Stone, but you may call me Hard Stone. The news i'm about to tell you is what your not hoping to hear." Hard Stone said.
Skid Dust just looked at the big man with sadness.
"Your brother is dead, never coming back again, i saw his body with my own eyes." Hard Stone felt powerful glares piercing his back, but he ignored it, he had to finish talking to the child. " So according to my understanding you are now alone, no blood family left, it's only been you and your brother for two years, the hardest two years of your life i assume."
Skid only offered a small nod of his head as a response.
"Listen lad i know your going through so much pain right now..trust this old man when he tells you he does, but now your gonna have to be more stronger than ever, your brother's passing has left you some new shoes to fill up, another life to lead. I know it's unfair that it was too early and unfair, but now you have to move on and face life with a determined look. Don't quit, just keep moving forward and don't look back, and don't let your march be halted by anything. I promise on my badge son that i will solve this problem, give me high hell or low water i will find the one responsible!" Hard Stone finished his sage like advice with his hand by his heart giving Skid Dust a small serious look.
Skid Dust could not hold his emotions in any more as he began to cry really hard, which caused Adagio to run up to his bedside and hug him tightly, which caused the small boy to move in Adagio's embrace even more.
"It's alright sweetheart, just let it all out.! Adagio said soothingly while she was rubbing his back softly. Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk walked up to the boy's bed and also joined in on the group hug.
"I don't like seeing people suffer like this, especially children." Aria spoke with a hint of anger as she hugged the crying boy.
Sonata did not say anything but her face with sadness mixed with anger told the entire story.
While all three Dazzlings were hugging the small child, Healing Heart was watching the scene with a smile while she was looking at the big detective who was straightening his uniform a bit while clearing his throat to get everyone's attention, except the small child, who was still softly crying in Adagio's chest. All the girls looked up at the inspector with curious looks as to see why he got their attention.
"Alright lasse's, i'm pretty sure you know this child's situation and problem don't you? so the question is who is gonna take care of this kid.?" Hard Stone asked with a serious look on his face. But he was sending a small smile Adagio's way hinting at something. Adagio caught on straight away and nodded her head with a warm smile on her face.
Meanwhile Aria and Sonata were looking at each other with confused looks on their faces. " Why can't he go to the local orphanage?" Sonata asked?.
"Because they have no room left." Healing Heart answered. This caused Aria's and Sonata's eyes to widen a bit. " Ohh" was all Sonata could say.
Everyone was looking at someone, hoping that they could figure out something. That was until Adagio spoke up.
"Say Girls. how would you like to be aunties?" She spoke with a hint of happiness in her voice.
The other two Dazzlings quickly looked at their older sister with a big look of surprise on their faces.
"Dagi..wh-what are you saying?" Aria nervously spoke. Sonata just stared at the small child still in Adagio's embrace.
Healing Heart was staring at the poofy haired woman who had a smile of warmth on her face as she tried to process what she just asked her sisters. Then she caught on to the question after looking at The inspector who just stood there smiling at the three girls. Healing Heart could only sigh and gasp in small happiness at the question.
"What i mean girls is, i want to be the one to take care of this little one, raise him to grow up to be a fine young man, and more importantly, love him like my own son and care for him, because right now he needs it". Adagio spoke while looking at the now quiet boy with a loving smile on her face.
Both Aria and Sonata just stared at Adagio for a minute before Aria spoke up.
"Dagi..are you sure you want to do this? it's a big responsibility and with our status, it's going to be hard to raise a child." Aria sadly spoke.
"Nonsense, i can make time for my child, plus with the resources all three of us have, we should have no problem including a fourth in our home." Adagio spoke with pride in her voice.
Aria just sighed and gave a small smile at her older sister." You know Dagi, your right. I would love to be this little guy's auntie." Aria spoke with a soft smile on her face.
"So that means we have another little Dazzling to care for and have fun with now." Sonata squeed in happiness as she hugged the quiet boy again.
Adagio smiled at her sister's support and could only sigh in happiness as she hugged the boy even closer.
"Well there you go, problem one solved. Good on you lass, i knew you would make the right choice. Plus you will make an excellent mother for the boy, plus you two will make fine aunties as well." Hard Stone gave them a warm smile.
"I'll get the papers ready because you can adopt kids here. I'm really happy you have decided to save this child. My blessings" Healing Heart said with a big smile on her face as she left the room to get the papers ready.
Adagio could only shed tears of joy as she looked down and held her new child close." Hey sweetheart, you hear that, i'm gonna be your mother now. And i promise i and my sisters will raise and love you the right way." Adagio said lovingly to her child. But he did not respond. Adagio looked worried and pulled back a bit to look at him more clearly, only to find him sound asleep in Adagio's embrace with a small smile and some tears coming down his face. The three Dazzlings smiled warmly at this and brought the small child into a big group hug. Welcoming a new family into there ranks.
"Well, there is always light in the dark somewhere" Hard Stone said with a smile on his face. " Look after him well now you three" he finished with a small stern look on his face.
The three Dazzlings nodded their heads in agreement and continued hugging their new family member with tears of joy coming down their faces..
