So... Rainbow is different today...
"Get out of my way, country bumpkin!", Rainbow shouted as she charged the farm mare. AJ leaped aside just in time to see Rainbow fly up at the last minute toward the sky.
"Y'all come back here," AJ yelled, seeing as she couldn't exactly catch her, so the best she could do was scold her.
Rainbow turned around, smirking, "Until next time, Hillbilly!" She said.
AJ's Stetson fell over her face, and her face turned so red and heated, she burned a hole right through it. Rainbow just looked back and smirked again. And then she said one last thing. "I'm looking forward to it." Which of course just left AJ in a pile of goo. RD may be a bad pony currently, but she's still got that salty attitude...
"You may have your books, but they can't help you now!", Rainbow said as she dodged Twilight's magical blasts. Rainbow dash just laughed her head off. Hysterically. RD dashed from cloud to cloud, and Twilight shot at her. Rainbow smirked, and said, "You're cute when you're mad."
Twilight yelled out loud, "Quit moving so I can get you!"
"Not a chance, egghead.", the cocky rainbow maned mare replied. Twilight heard the sound from behind her, and so she shot behind her, only to find another offensive comment yelled at her from her front. She turned around to see Rainbow. She was smirking as always. Except this was an all-I-wanna-do-is-kiss-you-until-you're-drunk smirk. "Y'know Twilight," Rainbow said, matter of factly. "If you're going sort your books, allow me to help. Then, letting the strange offer sink in, Rainbow Dash leaned forward, and raised a hoof to lift Twilight's chin up to her eyes. "On second thought," Rainbow said, tracing circles around Twilight's face, "you look like you got it covered. You look like you have everything covered."
Then Rainbow smirked, and was out the door before Twilight could even blink. Twilight was still in shock by the time she called an emergency meeting to discuss Rainbow's behavior.
"It's weird y'all, she's acting flirty, and perverted, and even more daring than she was before. And I'm not sure I'm liking it.", the country mare drawled in her southern accent from across the table.
"Applejack's right," a quiet voice from the far East side of the table agreed. "She came to my cottage and made some very unique observations about mating season."
Then Rarity continued. "And that ruffian made me ruin my newest design! Who knew she knew how to disguise fabric remover as fabric marker!"
"I think she's perfectly fine!", Pinkie said. "In fact, I like new Rainbow! She's a lot of fun! And she does stuff that normal Rainbow would never do!" The rest of the four other ponies disregarded Pinkie's last statement. Not from disrespect, but from sheer reluctance to hear what the last sentence that the pink mare had said meant.
"Let's think about this logically," Twilight said. "Her physical appearance is different, and her coat is duller. Also, her every move seems to belong to a different pony. I mean Rainbow was already plenty perverted, but this? I mean, she flirted with me!"
"Well the last time she looked like this, was when Discord tried to take over Equestria. But then again, I could be wrong..."
Pinkie mulled over what she had said, but didn't get enough time to process it for even one second before Twilight yelled, "Pinkie you're a genius!"
"I know," Pinkie said, goofily stuffing a cupcake in her mouth before swallowing it whole.
"D'you know what this means, y'all?", AJ asked. "Discord is probably behind this! Well c'mon every pony, let's go," AJ said.
"You seem a little eager to get Dashie back," Pinkie said bouncing along AJ's side as they hurried to Fluttershy's cottage.
"What?", the farm pony said. "That's ridiculous! I don't like Dash, no way no how!"
"Okie dokie Loki loopy, but I never said you did!" Pinkie said singing as she hopped up to Twilight. AJ's mouth hung open. She had just practically admitted that she had a crush on Rainbow to one of her most hyper and un-secretive friends!
"Wait up Pinkie Pie!", AJ said rushing after her...
Real Rainbow Dash POV...
"Do you like my plan?", Discord asked as he sat upon his throne.
"Which plan? The first one you obsessively and obnoxiously talked about, or the second one you dawdled and elaborated on even more?", Rainbow sarcastically asked.
"The first one", Discord said not batting a single chaotic eyelash.
"You know honesty is usually AJ's thing, but since I'm feeling extra generous, I'll tell you the truth. I hate both of them.", Rainbow said, hitting a nerve.
"Now Rainbow, is that any way to treat someone who has so generously offered to give you food and shelter?", Discord continued.
"Well if the shelter is an annoying chaos bubble of magic, and the food is dry, dry horse-meat, then yes, yes that is a way to treat your host.", Rainbow said coldly.
"Hush up my little pony, and watch the fun!", Discord said.
"Quit calling me that!"
"I won't Rainbow, not until you accept that my plans are genius, and that you are staying here."
"Never!", Rainbow said, ramming the space bubble for the hundredth time that day. A magical screen popped up, and Rainbow stopped using her self as a battering ram long enough to watch what her darker side was doing. She was, well at least the her in Pony-Ville, ramming clouds and making it rain on lovely couples on the beach. That was one prank she had considered, but had always decided it would be too mean. Now since she was watching it, she was regretting even thinking of it once upon a time. She actually hated the coat of blue on the darker side of her, because all of her polychromatic colors were muted to the point of almost complete grey. Fun, Rainbow thought as she glanced at the magical screen again. Then she saw herself in Twilight's library, lifting Twilight's chin and stroking her. She smirked at that. She had to give the darker side of her some credit. She had guts. And she was secretly enjoying this. Twilight's face was just too priceless. She found herself hoping that her darker side would have more fun with Twilight. Then she soon realized that her darker side was a shameless perverted flirt. That kind of offended her. And it ticked her off too. "You're going to Tartarus, Discord!", she yelled as she pounded against her bubble.
"Maybe so, but you're in more trouble than I am currently", Discord said, chuckling as he watched the magical video monitor the other main five. Twilight was saying something about finding Rainbow. Applejack seemed awfully anxious to find her.
Discord POV...
Shoot, they're onto me, Discord thought. But what to do? I know, I'll separate them. Only one of them will find Rainbow. And that one will be second. My second. Rainbow's new little captive buddy.
"Why are you looking at me like that?", the cyan colored mare asked.
"Oh, nothing," I said, as I walked away. She's going to love who I pick. They're gonna love knowing where Rainbow is. After all, one of them is very anxious...
AppleJack POV...
I hope we find Rainbow, I thought as we galloped to Fluttershy's cottage. But I hope I catch up with Pinkie before she tells everyone my secret just as much. I mean I'm sure that spunky Rainbow maned mare doesn't like me. Maybe her darker side does, but Rainbow's dark side flirts with every pony! What would make me any different?
"He's not here!", Flutter-shy calls from the open door of her cottage. "But then again, he kind of moved out to a house in the ever free forest a week ago, so really..."
"WHAT!", Twilight said. "You mean to tell me that you wasted our time leading us to your cottage when you knew he moved quite some time ago?!", Twilight flipped.
"Whose side are you on Darling?", Rarity asked, flustered.
"Yours," Flutter-shy answered meekly.
"Can we just get a move on here ponies?", I said, slightly annoyed by the bickering.
"Of course!", Flutter-shy said, shaking her head.
"To the ever free forest!", Twilight said.
"Won't we search faster if we split up?", I asked.
"Is it so you can have Rainbow all too yourself if you find her?", Pinkie said, wiggling her eyebrows. I groaned.
"Yes!", Twilight answered, oblivious to Pinkie's rather inappropriate suggestion.
"Yeehaw then! C'mon let's go every pony!", I said, galloping off into the forest.
Flutter-shy POV...
Why was Pinkie making such weird comments? And why was AJ wanting to split up in the Ever free forest! The ever free forest! This made no sense, unless...
Twilight POV...
"We'll meet back here at sundown,", I yelled to AJ, but she didn't hear me. Oh well, if she isn't here, we'll know it may or may not be because she got captured...
Applejack POV...
I raced through the forest, hearing Twilight call out something from behind me, but not turning around because I needed to find Rainbow first. I needed to find her and hold her and make sure she's okay. And then I'd lasso Discord and have Granny Smith bake him a sour apple pie! And he'd have to eat it. All of it. I was running full speed ahead when I heard Rainbow calling for help. The real Rainbow! I followed the sound, only to find Rainbow's darker side on top of a cloud, yelling bloody Mary for a truce. Discord was on her, tickling her. She was squealing. In a very high range. I guess that rascal saw me, cause as I was trying to sneak away, he noticed me and said, "AJ, Rainbow's been looking for you." Of course at this comment I turned around and straight up almost peed my pants wetter than a garden hose during summer on the farm.
"She-she has?" I managed to stumble out, drowning in a current of thoughts. Mostly of hopeless romanticism.
"Mmmmm hmmmm.", Discord said with a deranged smirk.
"Are you kidding me?", Rainbow's darker side piped up, "she's been asking for you. A lot. Always AJ this and AJ that. And, always, AJ's so reliable. And so pretty and blah blah blah. Whoops," Rainbow's darker side said, with mock regret. "That last comment just slipped right out..."
"Yer kidding me, right? Right?", I asked them as they floated away on the cloud.
Looking back, Dark Rainbow said, "Guess you'll just have to find me to find out," smirking. "Oh, of course I mean, the genuine loyal me. Please though, you'll never find Rainbow where we've got her. Not until we want you to. Not until the plan is complete." AJ just gawked at the dark side of the polychromatic pegasus. She was bad, so, so bad. But so, so part of Rainbow Dash. This was so confusing. I'd never seen this side of Rainbow Dash. I mean, I'd seen her dangerous, angry, sad, confused, and on the brink of madness, but... On second thought, I have seen her like this... When somepony hurts her friends...

Real Rainbow Dash POV...
Celestia, it's so incredibly boring here. I mean, the bubble TV just shows my friends getting ticked at Discord, and me, for having such a bad dark side. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm still the most awesome pony around, I'm just the most dangerously awesome pony around. And I'm not sure whether that's good or bad completely, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that that's bad. Which is exactly why I have to stop my darker side from destroying everyone I love. Mare and Colt alike. AJ, too. Which is why I keep busting my left hoof, trying to force open this dang bubble! Wait, wait, wait! Back up a second. Do I love AJ? I mean sure there's a butterfly feeling in my tummy when we wrestle, and I kind of secretly love it when her hoof accidentally brushes up against my thigh. But still, that doesn't mean I love her! And at night when I'm alone, and everyone else has a colt friend, or someone to love and I don't, I, well, I think of her. Think of what we could be, but that doesn't mean I love her. Just because I can't stop thinking about her. Just because whenever I see her my heart starts beating a little faster. I don't love her! I don't love AJ! Crap, I'm in love with AJ.
AJ POV...
Last time somepony hurt one of Rainbow's friends... (This is a Flutter-shy flashback)
"Hey, look at the little Pegasus. It's Fluttershy! The one that couldn't fly! Can you fly now, Fluttershy? Can you fly now? Would you pass the test at flight camp? Now that you're full grown?"
"Hahaha, don't be stupid! She still can't fly. She'll never be able too! Flutter-shy, Flutter-shy, Flutter-shy can hardly fly!", they would say that day as Flutter-shy walked to the place Rainbow was meeting her at. They would taunt her all the way to the table she was meeting Rainbow at for lunch, and that was when it would happen.
That was when Rainbow would swoop in and scare the crap out of all that dared to mess with her friend. They would cower. But I didn't know that, as I walked toward that table with Flutter-shy at it that day. I didn't see the bullies until they were on her. On her pelt. Hitting at her, kicking at her. And I stopped walking, I started to run. But I only got a few feet, before out of nowhere, a rainbow blur glided in, and smacked the bullies off of Flutter-shy.
A hostile growl came from that cyan colored Pegasus that clearly communicated a hands-off-my-friend-or-else statement. A dangerous one. The bullies of course, were ignorant, seeing only the smallness and appearance of the pegasus. They weren't seeing what I was seeing. "Hands off!", Rainbow growled.
"Or what?", the bigger bully challenged.
"Or what?", Dash said smirking. "You wanna know what happens if you don't lay off?", she said circling the bullies. The bullies of course, were starting to lose their cool, seeing how confident the smaller pegasus looked in her abilities.
"You.", Rainbow said, pointing to the biggest one. "What's your name?"
"Plummet.", the biggest one said, clearing his throat and trying to establish authority.
"Okay plummet," Rainbow said, projecting intimidation into her voice. "What do you think I'll do if you don't lay off?"
"You'll give us puppy eyes?", the big one mockingly said.
"No," Rainbow said. "And wrong answer", she added.
"Will you blind us with your rainbow tail?", a smaller one in the back said. That earned a couple of snickers.
"No.", Rainbow said, turning around for a half second. But I could see the look on her face. Rainbow was about to become dangerous. Very dangerous. And whoever got between her and Fluttershy was gonna get hurt. Her dangerous half-smile said it all. I'd never seen her like this before. Rainbow was about to go bad. Really bad. She was going to explode. She turned around, hoof swinging, and connected her hoof with the biggest bullies' face. He staggered. "I'm not going to blind you with rainbows," she said. "I'm going to blind you with my hoofs." Two other bullies advanced onto her. They ran full speed, charging. She bucked them in the mouth. Three were down. "Anybody else wanna piece of the Rainbow?", she asked casually. They shook their heads no. "Good.", she said smirking. "Now get the Tartarus out of here so I can eat lunch in peace. And don't let me catch you so much as saying an unpleasant word to this pegasus, otherwise it will be way worse. That's a pinkie promise."
(Flashback end)
When someone really hurts one of Rainbow's friends physically, or over a long period of time, she gives them a taste of the rainbow. A slightly-deranged-completely-hellbent-on-kicking-your-flank-rainbow. And this Rainbow tastes metallic. You know why? Because you have blood in your mouth from where she busted your lip! Which is why I need to find her before she does any more damage, or her dark side goes Fluttershy-vampire-fruit-bat-crazy. It is possible. Within another hour of galloping, and listening intently, I hear a voice. A slightly peeved, raspy voice. And that type of voice only belongs to one person. Rainbow Dash. The real Rainbow Dash. I manage to catch the words, "Crap, I'm in love with AJ." Okay, at first I'm slightly offended by that. Why in Equestria would she say crap before that statement? Then of course she mumbled about ponies not understanding bisexuals, and losing her weather job. That made more sense. Up ahead, I see a house. A completely chaotic looking one, which is how I know that she is in the house. Because she's in Discord's house, and c'mon he's the God of chaos. It would make sense. Then once I run up to the window, I peek in, and she's in a bubble. Yes, y'all heard me correctly, a bubble. A floating little bubble cell. With dried horsemeat. That's just gross. I swear to Celestia, Discord disgusts me. When I catch that rascal...
"Rainbow Dash!", I yell from the window. She looks up, relief dancing through her features before annoyance takes its place.
"Behind you!", she yells. I dodge, and turn around, and Dark Rainbow is standing between me and the door.
"That's just mighty wonderful.", I say.
"I know it's just great AJ.", she says smirking. "But just warning you in advance, if you want the good side of me, you need to go through the bad side first. And contrary to popular belief, I'm pretty powerful, despite the fact that Rainbow never entertains me. Then again, maybe she does. But you would know that, wouldn't you? Loving her and all. It's really all too bad you probably won't see her ever again.", she says smiling sinisterly.
"Rainbow, what goes on in your head?", I yell to the Rainbow inside the bubble.
"Is now really the time?", Good Rainbow yelled back. "Watch out!", she added. I sidestepped just as Dark Rainbow hurled a bolt of lightning at me. She smirked triumphantly.
"Where did you learn to even do that?", I asked Rainbow through the window.
"Look there are tons of things I promise I'll explain to you but could you try not to be killed in the meantime?", Good Rainbow said.
"Will do," I say ducking as another lightning bolt is hurled at my head.
"And it's okay if you kill her," Good Rainbow says. "She's only the bad side of me. If you kill her my dark side will be gone." Hearing this, I aim a buck at Dark Rainbow's head. She dodges and zaps my right foreleg with a ball of Lightning. I cringe, and my right foreleg buckles beneath my weight.
"Don't give up AJ!", Good Rainbow says yelling encouragement through the window.
"You know she can't take you Rainbow. You know she can't take me.", Dark Rainbow says smirking, through the window to Good Rainbow.
"She is more powerful than you'll ever know.", Good Rainbow says, glaring at her dark side. "And you have nothing on AJ. Not since you're only half of me.", Good Rainbow adds, smirking at her dark side. Her dark side falters for a moment. For a minute. But then she brings herself back to the moment.
"Oh, I definitely have something on the old workhorse.", Dash's dark side says. Then she harnesses a ball of lightning, and throws it at me. Everything goes black.
Real Rainbow Dash POV...
"You little bitch!", I say.
"Hypocrite.", my dark side says, as she gathers up AJ's body.
"Don't you hurt her!", I say yelling, loudly.
"Oh, I won't.", she says.
"Actually, I will," Discord says. "Just another separation spell.", he says humming.
"Don't you dare! You son of a bitch!", I say.
"Relax, this'll only take a second. I'll even let you guys share a customized couple bubble. ", he says. Once he starts casting, AJ screams for a full minute at least. Then I see her separate into two different ponies. The limp one is the colorful, good side, while the perfectly energetic, mischievous one is her bad side. Limp good AJ is thrown by my side. Then Discord stretches the bubble, to include a master bedroom, a kitchen, a living room, two bathrooms, and a walk in closet. I'm sure the last thing is just to mock us.
About an hour after they leave us, AJ stirs, wakes up, and says, "you've got some explaining to do." I sigh and do the best I can to explain Discord's crazy plan...
