Twilights New Petby XenayChaptersChapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 5Chapter 7Chapter 4Chapter 6Chapter 1Author's Note Okey I have no idea why there are so many down votes. To make it a bit clearer: Dash has the body and mind of a dog. She can only see what she's doing and what's happening around her, but has no control over it. Chapter 1 Twilight's new pet Her friends kept calling Rainbow Dash lazy, since they more than often saw her napping on clouds or trees. Twilight had gotten bored of the conversations and went to action. So she searched for the Pegasus and found her in one of Applejacks trees in the orchard. As always, she was sleeping soundly. A smirk crossed over her face as she pointed her horn towards the sleeping Pegasus. But in the second that she was going to zap her awake, she was tackled by something furry. And slobbery. Applejacks dog must have smelled that she was here. Winona was always so happy to see friends of Applejack. When she was finally free from the attacker, she noticed that the tree branch was empty now. And she heard something whimper behind it. When she carefully walked around it, she found the source: a little cyan dog with a colorful tail. At first she looked shy, and maybe a bit scared. But the second she noticed that Twilight was there She was once again tackled down. And Winona joined in the fun again. When she could finally move again, she was followed by the cyan dog with every step. It became clear to her that she couldn't just leave her alone. She had to take Dash with her. The first day ~Twilight's castle~ After Twilight brought her new dog home, she was lost. She didn't know a thing about dogs. All she knew was that they always want to play, can eat more than an army of ponys, are hairy and slobbery and are supposed to be the best friend of any pony. Now she stood there, Dash sitting in front of her with her tongue sticking out, happily smiling at her while she wagged her rainbow tail. Luckily Spike came down the stairs into the front room. "Hey Twilight, you're back!", he said. "And...Rainbow Dash?", he added when he saw the cyan dog in front of her, turning her head towards him. The next second he was tackled by Dash, landing on the floor and getting licked all over the face. "On no! Rainbow stop!", Twilight tried to pull Dash away from Spike, but stopped when she heard him laugh. "Hahahaha Rainbow I like you too! Phahahahahaha!" Twilight just stood there and stared at him in disbelief. Finally Dash finished licking Spike and ran through the next doors through the castle, barking every now and then. "Spike? Are you alright?" Twilight asked. "Jeez Twilight, she didn't try to kill me you know. But could you at least explain to me WHY SHE IS A DOG?!" Spikes voice rose up all of the sudden as he stood in front of Twilight, throwing his hands in the air. Suddenly there were crashing sounds coming from upstairs. Twilight and Spike looked at the ceiling. Twilight was the first who ran to the stairs, Spike followed. Twilight vanished in a flash of light and teleported herself in the room where still sounds of breaking things were. The moment Spike finally got on the second floor, he heard Twilight scream. This was bad. Did Dash destroy the room? Wait, which room was it anyways? He followed her voice. "Rainbow Dash! Get here!!!" Twilight yelled. Spike ran to the room. He froze at the sight. It was Twilight's working room. The desk, scrolls, books, all was shredded into pieces all over the place. Dash was hiding under wrecked pieces of the bookshelf. Either she was scared of Twilight or stuck. But either way, she wasn't going to fix this mess. It would become his job to clean up once again. He sighed. "Rainbow Dash I'm warning you! Get here or I'll make you!" Twilight got angry. Dash whimpered under she shelf. She was stuck. She couldn't move. It was just way too heavy for her small body. Twilight got angrier with every second, she could feel it. What should she do? She couldn't tell her. So she did what what dogs do. She howled. Twilight got over to her, not paying any attention to the mess anymore. For some reason every anger she felt seconds ago vanished and she was concerned about her pet's well-being. She lifted the shelf with her magic, freeing Dash and levitated her with her while walking out of the room. Spike just watched the whole scene. That was...unexpected? He shrugged it off and went after them. Twilight had placed Dash on her bed in her room, looking if Dash got hurt. Luckily she just ended up in some bruises and a lightly hurt hind leg. Twilight sat before her bed, looking Dash directly into the eyes. Spike watched them staring into each other's eyes like they were glued together. There was something off about this whole thing, wasn't there? He wasn't sure. Since the two didn't pay any attention to him, he just let them be and went to his room. It was getting late and he had to clean up the room Dash messed up tomorrow, so he would just go to bed. Twilight laid next to Dash in the bed, slightly hugging her until she fell asleep. It felt so nice to finally have someone to sleep with, who was so fluffy and cuddly and...cute. Yeah, that was it. Dogs were cute, and Dash was a special dog. Twilight had a special dog. She drifted off to sleep, hearing Dash snore silently. The next day Twilight woke up from smashing and crashing and shredding sounds. Half asleep, she didn't remember what happened yesterday so soon, so she just thought Spike was in the kitchen. But these sounds were different. Then the memories came back. She touched her hoof around her. Nothing. Dash was gone! Another crash. Twilight teleported herself downstairs. She followed the shredding sounds until she reached the library of the castle. Then she saw the room. Then she screamed. "RAAAIINBOOOOW DAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!!!!" Chapter 2Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Chapter 3Twilight dragged Dash with her magic all the way to Fluttershy's, since she wasn't really looking for another fetch-the-dog round. After the explanation why Fluttershy's oldest friend was now a dog, the shy pegasus fell in love with the cute little dog. "Who's a good girl? Who's a good girl?" Fluttershy asked Dash as she was rubbing the fluffy belly. "So...I was wondering if you could give me some...advice." "Advice?" "Well...everything I need and need to know about dogs..." Fluttershy gave her a look. "I would have read about them but 'some dog' destroyed my library." "Oh..oh my..." Fluttershy stopped petting Dash and walked over to Twilight. Dash got a huge curiosity and when nopony was looking, she sneaked into the kitchen. "Tell me what happened." "Well...first she destroyed my working room," "Oh no that's terrible!" "And today she was destroying my library when I woke up. Then we went for a walk and she ran away, fetching Opal. And she's attacking everyone she knows with her licking!" "Hmm..well...I'd say about the destroying part, lock the doors. Going out only on a leash-" "A leash? But...Applejack never takes Winona on a leash!" "Twilight. Rainbow Dash is not Winona. She's trained. Dash is...well...Rainbow." Meanwhile Dash was eating everything pet food related. The room was a mess and her belly grew bigger. "You need toys so she won't get bored. Oh and proper food! Come on, we'll get the things." "Thanks Fluttershy!" Fluttershy was taking Twilight around, grabbing balls, chew toys, collar and leash. Then they were heading to the kitchen for bowls and food. "EEEP!" Twilight reached the door. The kitchen was a complete mess. Surrounded by several emptied bags of food lying around the cyan dog, who was as round as a ball. Twilight's jaw hang to the floor. Fluttershy ran over to Dash. This was bad. Very bad. She ran upstairs to the bathroom and returned with a bottle. She grabbed a spoon in the kitchen and filled it a bit with the liquid from the bottle. Then she stuck it into Dash's mouth. Twilight just stood there. She..just..ate..ALL OF THAT?!?! With the blink of an eye Dash stood in front of the purple alicorn, wagging her tail, back to her normal lean form. Twilight looked up to Fluttershy. "How in Equestria did you Do that?!" "Oh it was nothing. Just some fat-burner I got from Zecora. Some of my animal friends have a little eating problem." The pegasus giggled. "Thank you so much, Fluttershy! I don't know what I would have done without you!" Twilight said, making Fluttershy blush. "It was nothing, really. I'm sure you would have a spell to fix it." "Hmm maybe. But since my books are shredded, I wouldn't be able to find one." "Anyways. Talking about food..." She went to a shelf with food for puppies, grabbed a few bowls for food and water and placed it in front of Twilight. "Thanks again Fluttershy!" Then she saw the bag of food. "Puppy food?" "Twilight, you Do know how old she is, right?" "She is a grown dog, or?" "No. In fact, she is quite some time away from fully grown." "But..the spell doesn't change the age! How old is she?" "Well, she's older than a puppy, and younger than a grown up." "You mean, a teenager?" "Quite right." Twilight froze. Sure, Dash had always been smaller than the others, hyperactive but Pinkie...okey Pinkie Pie is Pinkie Pie. Well...she Was acting like a foal sometimes..is easy to get angry, has a lot of temperament...okey, maybe she really Was just a teenager. The fluffy thing that was nudging her front legs broke her from her thoughts. She looked down and saw how Dash was cuddling her. She couldn't help but smile and stroke a hoof over Dash's back. "Looks like some pet really likes his new owner." Fluttershy chuckled at the sight. You could describe it as cute and adorable...cudorable! "Oh, Twilight?" "Yes, Fluttershy?" "Don't you think she needs a, well, pet name?" "Well...yeah, maybe.. I'll think of one." Fluttershy put the collar with the leash on Dash's neck. To Twilight's surprise, Dash sat still like a stone. Well...except for her always wagging tail. The two walked back home. It was so much easier with the leash. Dash was walking right beside her. Maybe it was a good idea to turn Dash into a dog, since she was the element of loyalty. Dogs were loyal, that's for sure, but Dash had to be the most loyal dog in the world. Chapter 5"You wanna play, Dashie?" Pinkie asked, bouncing the ball. Dashie just looked away and for the first time in forever, her tail wasn't wagging. In fact she looked sad. She walked to the door and scratched on it a few times, showing that she wanted to be with Twilight. "No Dashie! Come on, I thought you Love playing!" Then cries came from a baby from upstairs. "Oh no, I have to feed the babies! How could I forgot!? The Cakes would NEVER let me babysit them EVER. AGAIN.!!!" She rushed to the kitchen. Dashie just sat there, tilting her head. When she heard more sounds from the kitchen, she got curious again and walked to the room slowly. Pinkie was warming up the bottles for the babies. Dashie sniffed around. Sweet scents from everywhere! She looked around. Cakes, muffins, cupcakes and other sweet things were surrounding her. Her eyes lit up and she licked her snout. And of course, her tail got its fire back. As soon as Pinkie ran upstairs and left her alone with all the sweets, she couldn't resist any longer and with the blink of an eye 24 cupcakes vanished into her stomach. When Pinkie returned, covered in flour, she froze. Dashie just ate EVERYTHING!!! And that's just how the little dog was looking like. Pinkie rushed over to her, tears welling up in her eyes. Twilight had told her to lock the doors and never leave her out of sight! She was the Worst dog sitter EVER!!! Now she was scared that she would lose Twilight as a friend if she found out. What she needed was a plan. What could fix this mess? She got an idea. Could she just push it out of her? She looked at Dashie, lying on the floor like an overfilled hoofball that was about to burst the second it touched a ground. She shook her head. Nope. That was out of question. Her next idea: throw up. But what would cause a dog, who just ate tons of sugar and things that were very bad for little doggys, to throw up?! She gulped. Then she grabbed a spoon and pushed it down Dashies throat. The dog almost immediately started choking and coughing until it all came up again. Pinkie wasn't sure if she was more disgusted by the sight, relieved that it was over or happy to find someone who could eat as much as her, even if it was anything but good. She cleaned up the mess and Dashie so Twilight would never have to find out. Just as she was finished, Twilight was knocking at the door, looking worried but way more relaxed than 2 hours ago. She opened the door and Twilight was tackled to the ground from her dog. As always Dashie was licking, but she was licking Twilight like she hadn't seen her in 20 years. Twilight was relieved, Dashie was okey and the bakery didn't look like Dashie had been here at all. Maybe Pinkie really Did have things under control. "Hey Twilight!" The pink pony bounced to her and helped her up. "Hey Pinkie! Looks like you two had lots of fun together." She smiled. "Oh, yeah, we did!" She answered hesitantly. Twilight wanted to ask her but decided it was better not to know what really happened. She was so relaxed, she hadn't been in days and wouldn't want to ruin it. "Thanks a lot Pinkie! I knew I could count on you!" "Oh, no problem Twilight! Dashie is a good dog!" "Yeah.. I hope she wasn't too much trouble." Baby cries came from upstairs again. "Oh, sorry Twilight! I think somepony needs a change!" She vanished upstairs. Twilight giggled. Pinkie Pie. Random. Anyways, this was a good time to go for a walk. At night it was hard to get some sleep. Dashie couldn't sit still, jumped on and off the bed, walked around or was chewing on the furniture in Twilight's bedroom. The sugar from earlier was affecting her. "Urgh! Dashie just come to bed and sleep!" Twilight got angry. Dashie hated that. She folded her ears back and hopped back on the bed to Twilight and curled up beside her. The alicorn sighed and laid back, hoping she could finally get some sleep. That was until Dashie stood up again and turned in place, trying to find the best way to lay down. She would never find it. Twilight groaned. This never happened before! Normally Dashie was just so energetic over the day and was easily falling asleep at night. She got an idea. Twilight got up and went over to her chest, opened it and grabbed smarty pants. The plushy in her magic she trotted back to Dashie, who was staring at her. She gave Dashie the plushy. The dog glanced at it, touching it hesitantly with her front paw to see if it was alive. Then she took it very carefully in her mouth and curled up on the bed. When Dashie wasn't standing up again after 10 minutes and silent snores could be heard, Twilight smiled and got back to bed, finally drifting off to sleep. Chapter 7The main six plus Spike were all together in Twilights castle. After explaining one last time why Dash was a dog to Applejack, Twilight sighed. "I've been thinking. Rarity, you told me that turning a friend into a pet without their permission was not okey with you. And you're right. I didn't ask her if she was okey with me turning her into a dog. So I'm going to make things right again." Her friends gave her sad looks. "Twilight.. We know how much you've grown to living with her.." Fluttershy tried to reason. "I know, but it just isn't right. Aside from not asking her if she was okey with it, I didn't ask any of you either. You must miss her so much. Pinkie, I know you and Rainbow are always around town, pranking Cranky Doodle or Granny Smith." "What?!" Applejack interrupted. "Applejack, I know you and Rainbow have competitions from time to time." "Yah, an' kickin' tha lazy filly outta mah trees." "Twilight, darling. I know this must be hard for you." "I won't deny it. But I have made up my mind. I'm going to bring back Rainbow Dash." She turned to Dashie, who was sitting next to her, wagging her tail. Twilights horn started to glow and Dashie was surrounded in her purple aura. A light-flash later and on her spot sat the Pegasus they all knew and loved. Dash shook her head. "Hey guys, what's up?" Her friends smiled and wrapped her in a group hug. "Come on guys, I never left you." Dash chuckled. Her friends let go of her. "You mean.. you can remember?" Twilight asked. "Yep. Pretty much." "And.. you're not mad?" Twilight asked, unsure. "Nope. After all, you took a really good care of me." Relieved, Twilight smiled. "Though I'm never going to turn any pony into anything without their permission." Her friends shared a laugh. Dash then noticed that it was still raining outside. "Huh, looks like Thunderlane messed up the plans again. It's not supposed to rain anymore since this morning." She frowned. "Seems like I got some work to do. See you guys later." She went to leave but Twilight stopped her. "Rainbow wait. You really didn't mind being my pet for a while?" Dash snorted. "Not at all. Sorry but I gotta clear these clouds before me and my team get in trouble." She gave Twilight a quick lick on the cheek, took off and vanished outside into the sky. Spike gave a confused look. "You.. don't suppose there could be any side effects left?" "Nope." A few moments later they heard the scream of a cat. "Gotcha!" Raritys eyes shrunk into pins. She ran outside, screaming "OPAL!!!!" The end? Author's Note I hope you enjoyed it Chapter 4One stressful week later Twilight was worn out. Taking care of a dog, or puppy, was harder than she thought. Dash just wouldn't sleep, she was so full of energy and always wanted to play. Spike got sick of her destroying phases. The doors were locked, so Dash just shredded everything she could find. Whenever Spike forgot to lock the doors, Dash would use her chance and create chaos. One day she was eating the sofa, another she was chewing the legs of the kitchen table and then she was grabbing every blanket she could find and stashed them in the toilet. Twilight looked at her calendar. Today was her spa day with Rarity. But there was a problem. Since she couldn't leave Dash with Spike, neither she could take her to Rarity because she would want to play with Opal, Twilight needed a dog-sitter. Sadly Fluttershy was on a trip with Discord, Applejack had to work on her farm, so she would need Pinkie Pie to watch her. Pinkie was responsible since she was babysitting the Cake's twins, so what could go wrong? Twilight grabbed the collar and called for Dash. Of course she came in under 10 seconds flat, but as soon as she realized what Twilight was about to do she stopped and ran back. Bad for her all doors were locked so she couldn't hide anywhere. Twilight held her with her magic until the collar was on her neck, making sure it wasn't too lose so she couldn't slip out and run away, which happened five times now. She grabbed a ball and then they headed to Sugarcube Corner. As soon as they entered the bakery, they were loudly greeted by the pink pony. "Hi Twilight! I haven't seen you in, like, EVER!!!" Dash sat next to Twilight, wagging her tail and her tongue sticking out. Pinkie hugged her so tightly, Twilight was afraid she would choke Dash. "You've got a new doggy!!! Congratulations!!! OOH we should TOOTALLY throw a PARTYYY!!!!" Twilight couldn't watch any longer and released Dash from Pinkies grip with her magic. "About that-" "Oh! Oh! What's her name? What's her name?!" "She-" "Did you know how much she looks like Dashie?" "Dashie?" "Rainbow Dash!" "Dashie...' "So..what's her name?" "Dashie." "So..why are you here anyways? I mean, I don't want to sound mean or anything-" "It's fine Pinkie. And I'm here because I need your help." Pinkie Pie saluted. "I need you to watch Dashie for me for a little while." "OOOH DID YOU HEAR THAT DASHIE?! WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!" She pulled Dashie into a very tight hug once again. "It wont be for long, just an hour or two. Think you'll be able to make it?" "Yesindeedee!!! Hey Dashie, you wanna play? Huh? Huh?" Pinkie said as she grabbed the ball from Twilight. "Can't think of one time she Didn't. Listen, Pinkie." Pinkie immediately turned to the alicorn. "Lock all available food away from her, never take off her leash and do NOT leave her alone. NEVER. She'll destroy everything!" Pinkie had a serious look on her face while she listened. Once Twilight was finished she began to laugh. "What's so funny? I'm serious!" "Twighilight! How could such a cutesy little doggy Do such a thing? Hahahahaha!" She fell to the floor, laughing her tail off. "Pinkie I mean it!" "You worry too much. Everything's gonna be fine! Auntie Pinkie has EEEEEVERYTHING under control." Twilight sighed and glanced at the clock. She had to leave, but she would come back as soon as possible. Chapter 6Unfortunately for Twilight, sleep wouldn't last that night. She woke up to the sound of whimpering. Twilight sat up, lit a candle and searched for the source. Looking around, she noticed that she could only hear it. Then she noticed that she was alone in her bed. Well, alone with Smarty Pants. Then a light flashed outside. Twilight first thought it was her imagination, but the growl of thunder a few moments later made it clear. There was a thunder storm outside. Hearing the whimpering again, Twilight got up. "Dashie? Where are you? I'm here, everything is okey." Then a fluffy head crawled out from under the bed. "So that's where you were hiding." She grabbed her in her magic and sat her on the bed. Then she hopped on it too, wrapping the frightened dog in a hug, petting her over her back. "It's okey. It's just a bit weather. It will be over soon. I will protect you." Dashie calmed down and curled up on the bed, falling back asleep. Twilight yawned. She unlit the candle and laid back down, cuddling up to Dashie, and finally found some sleep. ~The next morning~ Spike was already preparing breakfast when Twilight, followed by Dashie, finally came from the bedroom. Spike noticed the tired look on Twilights face. "Rough night?" Twilight groaned as she sat down at the table. "First she wouldn't fall asleep, and then it appears that she's afraid of storms." Spike looked through a window. The sky was still dark, covered in clouds and it was raining. He placed a plate of pancakes before Twilight on the table. "Well, I know that most dogs don't like bad weather. But Dash was a Pegasus pony. Shouldn't she be used to weather like that?" Twilight shrugged and went to eating while Spike filled Dashies bowl with some of her food. While Dashie was making a mess on the floor from eating so hastily, Spike got thinking. "You know, I kind of miss Rainbow Dash. It was pretty neat having her tell us when there was going to be rain or storms.." Twilight glanced at her dog. She too missed her friend, but she had gotten so used to her as her pet.. ~Later~ It was still raining outside, but it was already past time for their morning walk. Dashie just didn't want to go outside. Twilight tried everything she could think of. She tried toys, treats, saying there was a cat outside.. she couldn't even get the collar on. Even though she knew that Dashie never wanted to be on a leash, figuring that it was probably because the Pegasus always loved her freedom, she was causing extra trouble this time. Twilight was just glad that most of the doors were still locked. It was already hard enough to chase her with Spike. Her magic wasn't fast enough, since she had to concentrate it on a very fast moving, small creature. "Where is she?" Twilight asked when she lost sight of Dashie. "Uh.. Twilight?" Spike pointed at a wet spot on the floor. Realizing what it was, Twilight sighed.

Author's Note I hope you enjoyed it
Chapter 4One stressful week later Twilight was worn out.
