Around us were many people, some dressed in costumes, some not. I looked around for any little shops to hopefully buy Frostmourne, though I knew luck was on my side when I saw a perfect replica of Frostmourne being sold at a shop right in front of us. I lightly elbowed my best bud, James, to get his attention.
"James, look!" I said, pointing in the direction of the shop. His eyes followed to where I was pointing before widening at the blade.

"Daaayyym, It looks so cool! You gotta buy it, man. Go, I'll wait for you here!" he urged me. I rolled my eyes and walked to the shop that was selling it. As I got closer, I noticed that the guy was dressed as The Merchant from Resident Evil 4.
"Hello Arthas, I know exactly what you need. What is the Lich King without Frostmourne, right? I'll sell it to you for fifty bucks." I wanted to immediately pull out my wallet and give him money when one specific memory hit me like a train.
"Wait, you’re the guy who sells things to different people and then they disappear? You send them to Equestria, right?" I asked excitedly. The look on his face changed into a bored one.
"Oh, so you know... Where did I put that memory-eraser?", he said to himself as he searched his pockets.
"Wait, I actually want to go to Equestria!", I interrupted him. His expression now changed into a surprised one and he stopped.
"You say you want to go to Equestria?"
"Totally!", he smirked and grabbed sword.
"Come inside then." he simply said and led me inside his shop.
He sat in a chair, sword in his lap, and motioned for me to sit in front of him. When I sat down he began talking.
"Since you want to go in Equestria, I'll grant your wish, but because you're my first customer who didn't run away in fear when you found out what I do, I’ll give you some perks.
First, Frostmourne will be extremely resistant to holy energy. No matter what others do, it'll never break. You'll have to only watch out for the weapons forged in Heaven and Archangels, they can be pretty dangerous, so beware.
Then, everyone who touches the blade without your premission or have the blade through them will have their souls sucked. If they have more than one soul, all of them, including their own will be sucked.
Next, you'll be quite immortal. You'll have immunity on aging and all mortal diseases. You'll also be nigh-invulnerable while in the Plate of the Damned and resistant to holy energy, but not completely immune to it. Again, look out for the Archangels, they are the worst. Note that you are still vulnerable under the armor, but due to your status as an undead god, you'll be able to regenerate even from a single organ.
You'll also be able to freely remove armor and Helm and still be the Lich King, since you’re the first one and there can be no other Lich Kings or Queen as long as one already exists. If you die, your soul will be forever trapped within the Helm of Domination, but again, it's a good thing. You'll be able to transfer your essence to another's body, just like Ner'zhul did to Arthas. Got any questions?"
"Yeah, what about Icecrown Citadel and my servants?"
"Icecrown Citadel is to you like Castlevania to Dracula. Just wish it to be there and it’ll be there. It will, along with your servants, follow you to different worlds, if you go there."
"In what Equestria will you send me?"
"I will send you to Equestria with anthropomorphic ponies, 101 year before Nightmare Moon, while Celestia and Luna are in a war with the griffins. You'll also appear in the Frozen North, on the highest mountain in Equestria called Mount Eyerhoof. Anything else?"
"Nope, I’m ready." I said. He smiled.
"Then, just grab the handle of the sword and you, my friend, are on your way." I did as he instructed and as soon as I touched the sword I felt extremely tired, not to long after that I was out like a light.
I woke up on snow-covered ground. The Helm of Domination and Frostmourne were lying in the snow next to me. I stood up, my now real armor made of saronite, which didn't weight anything at all, crackled and I saw long, bone white hair falling over my shoulders. Removing a section of snow from the ground and looking at my reflection in the ice, I saw blue eyes which were not my own and a face that did not belong to me. I've become Arthas Menethil.
Well, I'll have no problem with girls.", I chuckled to myself, seeing that I've become quite handsome.
Holding Frostmourne in my right and holding Helm of Domination in my left hand, I inspected my equipment.
The armor, Plate of the Damned, was bulky and it looked even more fearsome than before, but its size did not hinder me at all. I fact, I felt invulnerable in it.
Frostmourne looked completely the same, except the fuller was now black.
Helm of Domination was a kind of crown-helmet you would only find on the head of a death god.
Twirling it a bit, I placed the Helm on my head, expecting something to happen.
At first, nothing spectacular happened, but moments later, I felt an incredible deal of power, and an incredible deal of pain, surging through my head. I've never felt anything like it and I pray that I will never again.
"Aaaaahhhhh!", I yelled in agony, falling to my knees and trying to pull the Helm of, but it was like glued to my head. I felt my own soul forcibly being ripped from my body and get placed into the Helm while the powers over death and winter filled my body to the brim.
I felt my eyes starting to shine blue and bluish mist starting to come out of them.
Slowly, the pain dispersed.
Gasping, I managed to pull my self up. I felt different, like I was completely in tune with Frostmourne, like it is now an inseparable part of me.
I kneeled on one knee to pick the sword whose runes and goat eyes on the hilt were now glowing and a mix of frost energy and ectoplasm coming out of the blade.
Standing completely tall and imposing, I looked around for a suitable place to put my fortress on. I found it soon after and wished for Icecrown Citadel to be in front of me and it appeared in all its dark glory.

"Wow, this is completely awesome!", thought as I marveled in the grand design of saronite-made structure.
Wanting to see does the Citadel truly corresponds to my will, I snapped my fingers.
To my great suprise and excitement, the massive door of the Wrathgate opened by itself.
I walked inside the fortress, now getting amazed by its interior.

However, I have soon found out that I have no idea where am I going. I stopped and thought about it until an idea came into my mind.
"Kel'thuzad, I wish for you to serve me.", I ordered in the Lich King's evil, echoy, raspy voice. In an eruption of blue flames, the Archlich appeared in front of me.

"You called me, Your Majesty.", he said while bowing.
"Indeed, I wish you to lead me to my throne, Kel'thuzad."
"Of course, my liege. Please, follow me." he said. My new majordomo led me through the Citadel all up to the Frozen Throne, the top of the Icecrown. I must admit, the view from up there is pretty amazing, although I doubt mortals could properly enjoy it due to the insanely low temperature here. If I had to guess, it should be around -90°C. If I was a mortal, l would die of hypothermia in 7 seconds straight.
"Thank you, Kel'thuzad. You are dismissed.", I said, dismissing the Archlich.
"Anytime, Master." He bowed and then vanished within blue flames. I sat on my throne in a Lich King's classic sitting position (with Frostmourne in my right hand turned upside down) and started thinking about what to do now. The Merchant said the ponies and griffins were at war, so the first thing I need to do is create a proto-Scourge, a starters army made mostly of skeletal warriors, zombies and ghouls and few val'kyr. I should save more advanced undead such as val'kyr and death knights for the later, I need now only to leave a small message to Griffin King and the Princesses that there's a new player on the deck.
Now, here comes the moment where I have to decided how will this story continue and will I be bad, good or neutral. Should I help ponies, griffins or should I kill them all and start conquering the entire world? Oh, so many questions!
After few moments, I decided to go with the option #1, help the ponies. Now I only need to figure how to start my army... Wait a second...
I sunk into the Throne and closed my eyes, trying to expand my psychical presence across the furthest distance possible.
I smirked as I found what I was looking for.
Captain of the Griffin Army, Aria, was so stressed, she could have sworn her feathers were falling off.
She was forced to fight in this stupid war under the threat that her family will be executed, but now, she was concluding that death isn't so bad after all.
She watched her comrades die, her closest allies being slaughtered and her sisters in arms even being raped in front of her eyes!
If it wasn't for her trusted lieutenant, Light Feather, she would have also shared their fate.
And yet, all she gets from her superiors is a "Lucky you, now get to work!"
Aria buried her face in her claws.
The execution now seemed like a very good idea. In the end, she was just a replaceable soldier.
"I don't think you are...", a raspy, whispery voice suddely rang inside Aria's head.
Instinctively, Aria pulled her trusty weapons out and crouched, scanning her surroundings with a gaze of seasoned veteran.
"Greetings, Aria Whitefeather. Fear me not, for I come with good intentions only.", whispery voice echoed, seemingly, all around Aria.
"Who are you? Show yourself, coward!", Aria shouted angrily in the air, madly snapping left and right in intentions of seeing the intruder.
"Don't bother, you cannot see me, for I speak to you from the far north. As for who I am, my dear Aria, my name is Arthas Menethil and I am the Lich King, the undead god of death and winter."
Aria froze in the place, her eyes widening. She could not believe what she has just heard. A god? A god of death contacts her?
The question which was now occuping her mind was "Why?" Why her of all beings on the Equis? Why is she so special to be contacted by a god?
"Why, you ask.", she heard Lich King's gravely voice echoing in her head, "It's because I sensed distress in you, a great depression. A lack of purpose. I want to assemble an army, Aria, an army to conquer pathetic griffins who, as you already know, fight futile war and you are a perfect candidate for that.", Aria stood, unmoving and unblinking, as the Dark Lord of the Dead was explaining his plans. Her mind was slowly processing given information.
Before she could say anything, Lich King cut her of: "I know this is a hard decision to make, so I will give you 24 hours to decide. When you decide, you will have to do a certain ritual in order to arrive to me unharmed, since the place I rule from is impossible to be reached by mortals. I will now implant the ritual in your mind. Choose wisely, Aria., Aria felt Lich King's presence leaving her mind, leaving her alone yet again in her room.
Author's Note

Yea, it's me. You know, the guy who once updated few times every month. Well, I'm sorry, but real life came banging on the door and threatened to destroy my future if I don't let it in. However, I've been reading through my stories and found rather embarrassing how poorly written they are, so I decided to make remakes on the worst ones, as you probably guessed. I'll try to update in the shortest possible timespan, but don't get your spirits up just yet, since I have a lot problems with my grades.
Hope you like the remake.😁
