Until now, the magical land of Equestria has existed free of the conflict between the Lords of the Higher Worlds, most of its inhabitants blissfully unaware of the eternal warfare waged by the forces of Order and Chaos beyond the borders of their land. But when a mysterious and powerful sorcerer is bent on destroying the Balance throughout all the realms of the multiverse, one pony must answer the call, and rush to defend Harmony and her home. A plot has been set in motion which threatens to collapse the barriers between worlds, pulling all existence into the sterile and implacable Singularity.

Only one mare has the power to stop the evil magic and save both her home and the entirety of existence. A mare who exists in multiple incarnations throughout the multiverse and has at least partial memory of her alternate lives. A mare who has abilities unusual, even inexplicable in her universe. A mare who has a strong affinity for Chaos, yet fights for the Balance and Harmony. A mare who most others see as detached from reality, if not outright insane. She is the Eternal Champion.
