The room was dead silent, it had been a few minutes since Twilight’s memories had stopped playing for all to see and she was finally started to come out of her own head. The first thing she noticed was the hushed voice of Dash as she spoke to someone and the sound of hoofsteps as they neared her.

“Ok….we need to get her back to a cell…like now…” Dash said. Twilight remained slumped with her chin resting against her chest till she heard the hoofsteps stop directly in front of her.
Light lightly her hand shot out, finger extending as the shackle’s chain snapped like a twigs. Dash was able to let out a yelp of surprise before Twilight finger closed around the pegasus’ throat. Slowly Twilight raised her head and opened her eyes. The Mare was highlighted in red as Twilight had switched into combat mote and she could help enjoying the look of fear in the other mares eyes as she stared wide eyes into Twilight own, the red light that they now were reflecting in Dash’s eyes perfectly.

Slowly Twilight stood, dragging the other mare from her hooves as the alicorn stood to her full height. Dash was suspended a few feet off the ground by Twilight finger around her throat as they slowly tightened. Dash looked at the alicorn who held her with pure fear as she started to choke and stroke Twilight’s steel hooves in a vain attempt to break the alicorn’s grip.

Twilight cracked her neck and lifted her other hand, the blade shooting out and Dash’s eyes widened even more. Very carefully Twilight taped the side of the mare face with the blade. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t skin you alive right here.” Twilight’s finger preventing the mare from being able to speak. “What was that?” Twilight asked as she leaned hear ear close as if trying to hear. “You can’t think of a reason? Well then I guess that means there isn’t one~~~”

“Commander Sparkle we are in the middle of a trial and I would thank you to put my second in command down please.” The robbed pony said calmly. Twilight moved Dash to the side and looked at the robed pony with an arched eye brow, everyone else was frozen in shock and fear and the robed pony was calm as ever.
Glancing between the robed pony and Dash Twilight shrugged and let the mare go. Landing with a thud the Pegasus gasp for breath as she pushed her self away from the alicorn as fast as she could. Twilight retracted her blade before smiling at the mare. “You are lucky I have such respect for law and order.” She said with a hint of sarcasm before looking at the robed pony and placing her hands behind her back. “So then what’s the verdict judge? Am I guilty?”

The pony was silent for a while before finally speaking up. “Based on the evidence I have seen I find you not guilty of the crimes you have been accused of.”

“What?!” Dash said, her head snapping around to face the robbed pony. “Did you not see what she has done!?”

“Yes I have Dash, and none of them were the crimes we accused her of nor is she the Empress.” The pony said. “Therefore she is not guilty of the Empress’ crimes.”

“but…”

“Rainbow Dash I have made my decision and it is final.” The pony said a bit sternly. Dash reacted as if she had been slapped before hanging her head.
“yes ma’am.” She said disheartened.

“Not that this isn’t interesting and fun to watch and all. “Twilight said. “But can I go now? I have some people I need to meet up with and let them know I’m ok so they don’t have a meltdown.”
The robed pony looked at Twilight for a while. “Actually….I would like to request your aide Commander Sparkle.”
“What? You can’t be serious ma’am! You can’t ask her fore help! You saw what she has done!” Dash yelled pointing at Twilight.

“Yes, I saw a mare who was loyal to her country above all else, who did her best to help those in need even former enemies. And mare who has been through more than anyone could have ever faced and survived to do what she can to protect her home. A mare who has known great sadness for death of those she cared about and become enraged at the death of innocents.” The Pony said. “Yes she has done what could be seen as evil, yes she is dangerous. But the fact of the matter is she has never done any of that to those who could be seen as innocent civilians, it has always been against enemy combatants and those who have done great evil themselves.”

Dash’s jaw worked up and down and the pony looked from her to face the alicorn in the room. “So I ask you Commander Sparkle, will you help us topple the Empress?”

Twilight scratched her chin as she thought for a few second. “Well not every day you get the opportunity to kill yourself and live to tell about it.” She said and smiled wide. “How could I refuse? ~~”

“Very well. Welcome to the resistance Commander Sparkle.” The pony said.

“Please, call me Commander, I never did like when people called me Commander Sparkle.” Twilight said with a smile as she grabbed the shackles still around her wrists and broke them and then looked at the unicorn who still stood beside her shaking. “Now then you mind taking these off me?” She said and flicked the inhibitor rings “It rather hard to fight at 100% when my magic is cut off.”

“But…how do you except her to work with us?!” dash said as she looked at the leader while the unicorn nearly jumped to remove the rings so as not to anger the psychotic alicorn.

“Well Dash.” Twilight said after the rings were removed and she made her way over to the Pegasus who spun to face her, wings flared in an involuntary response to try and look intimidating, Twilight found it cute. “You have two options.” She said as she stood before the Pegasus with her hands behind her hack. “Option one is you let me help you take down that bitch of am Empress, something I planned to do with or without you. Or option two.” Twilight said and leaned down till her face was a mere inch from the cyan mare’s and she switched back to combat mode so her eyes glowed red. “I show you all just how much I appreciate you making me relive some of the worst moments in my life.” She said with a smile. “So which sounds better to you? Either option is fun for me, just one is more immediate fun.~~"

Dash opened and closed her mouth and the fear was plain on her face. Taking on a more normal smile Twilight stood back up. “I thought that was what you’d say.” Twilight said and cracked her neck once more before turning and heading for the door. She paused next to the unicorn and looked at her for a long moment. “boo.” She said and the mare jumped back and twilight couldn’t help laughing as she shook her head, begging to walk once more, the gathered rebel soldiers parting for her like water before a ship. “Oh I am going to have so much fun~~~~”
