Except... "Hi, Fluttershy," said Twilight. "Eep! Oh... hi Twilight, you scared me," responded Fluttershy. "I was wondering if I could test this new spell on you," Twilight asked. "Oh! Um.. Okay? Anything to help a friend," said Fluttershy. "This is a flight-boosting spell. It's a prototype and I needed a tester, but Rainbow Dash is asleep. All you have to do is fly around for a few minutes in the clouds," explained Twilight. Twilight mustered all her magical energy, concentrating it all in her horn, and administering it to Fluttershy's wings. Fluttershy glowed briefly, before the magic slowly faded. "Wow! That felt weird, " said Fluttershy. "Well, what are you waiting for? Test it out," Twilight urged. Fluttershy took to the skies, spiraling majestically through the clouds. Suddenly, she felt weak and tired, as if all her flying ability had been sapped in an instant. Slowly, her wings stopped beating. Twilight looked on in horror as Fluttershy fell from the skies. Twilight screamed more loudly then she had ever screamed. In the skies above, a dreary Rainbow Dash looked off the edge of her cloud. "What's going on?" wondered Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash focused her vision on the small, quickly falling yellow object. It looked almost like.. "FLUTTERSHY!" yelled Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash rocketed off her cloud at lightning speed, breaking the sound barrier in less than a matter of seconds. Fluttershy was just a few small feet from the cold, hard ground. "I can save her! I just have to fly faster!" said Rainbow Dash, even though she knew she would be too late. Rainbow Dash flew faster then she had ever flown before. She broke the color barrier, resulting in a Sonic Rainboom. Fluttershy was mere inches away from the ground, and Rainbow Dash was millimeters behind. "Please... I'm so close to saving her..." said Rainbow Dash. A sickening crunch of flesh and bone was heard as the pink-maned pegasus hit the ground, splattering blood and guts everywhere. Rainbow Dash tried to slow down, but she crashed into the ground at an even quicker velocity than Fluttershy. "This is all my fault... I- I'm a horrible pony..." said Twilight. She curled up in her treehouse and cried. Author's Note Meh, just a story set in season 1. I have no idea why I made this, but whatever. Getting HelpTwilight cried for a while with feelings of terror, shock, guilt and grief, but realized that there were two poor dead ponies outside and she knew that even though severe punishment would most likely come to her, Twilight knew that she had to get help from Princess Celestia. Spike, her faithful servant appeared by her side. "Spike, take a note. ' Dear Princess Celestia, my best friends Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are dead outside my library. Please, send help as quickly as you can, and try to be here in pony immediately. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. ' " Twilight ended the letter with a sigh. Spike spewed flames there after, sending the letter, and within a few seconds of the first, a hasty reply arrived in a puff of green fire and smoke. "Dear Twilight, I understand the severity of the situation and I am on my way as you read this. Your mentor, Princess Celestia," Twilight read aloud. "Oh my gosh, Princess Celestia is on her way! This is terrible! How will I explain this?!" exclaimed Twilight with fear. As if on cue, a golden chariot covered with bright yellow sun symbols arrived outside of her treehouse. Guards and medics immediately made their way to the bodies to determine the cause of death. A worried Princess Celestia approached Twilight. "My student, how did this horrible tragedy happen?" asked Princess Celestia. "Princess, I asked my friend Fluttershy to test my new flight boosting spell, but the spell backfired, making Fluttershy faint while she was in mid air. My other friend Rainbow Dash tried to save her out of the sky, but she was too late and collided with the ground too," Twilight admitted with shame. Princess Celestia's expression turned from one of worry to one of shock and rage. "Twilight, why would you test a new, unstable spell without telling me, and even more importantly, on one of your friends!? I am more than ashamed. I am humiliated, worried for your fate, and I am not pleased. Twilight, I revoke your position as royal protege, and charge you as guilty of mareslaughter," yelled the princess. Twilight, although shocked, accepted her fate. Causing death of unnatural causes, even accidentally, was punishable by death. Twilight was killed that night, [10 years later... Epilogue Twilight Sparkle was no more, the Elements of Harmony were given down to the ancestors of the Elements, and all was calm again. The three dead had wonderful burial rituals, attended to by friends and family. Many tears were shed, and sadness lasted years. Author's Note Um yeah. So I added another chapter because I didn't meet the character limit. But yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed my story. Sweetie Belle became the Element of Generosity, Fluttershy's younger cousin Quiet Breeze became the new Element of Kindness, Scootaloo replaced Rainbow Dash as the Element of Loyalty, for the trait of sticking by Rainbow Dash's side through thick and thin, Twilight Sparkle's crown was passed down to her niece Flurry Heart, Applejack passed down the Element of Honesty to Applebloom, and the Element of Laughter was passed down to Pinkie Pie's son Confetti Bounce. The Mane 6 were remembered for years after they passed down their relics, and their relatives grew to be much like them. The new Elements of Harmony saved the world from many threats and new or returning villains. However, the return of Sombra ended the peace. The new Elements were not trained enough to save everyone from Sombra, and they had to undergo vigorous training. "Quiet, attack faster!" Scootaloo urged. "Scootaloo, I'm trying! You've told me that a million times, I know that I'm slow, now get off my flank about it!" Quiet Breeze responded. "Well, try harder! We'll never beat Sombra like this!" Scootaloo said. | | / \ | |3 Years Later... | | / \ | | "Stand down, Sombra! You'll never win!" declared Flurry Heart. "Ha ha ha ha ha! You will never beat me!" said Sombra. Scootaloo soared through the sky, activating her element to coordinate with the others. Sombra was bathed in a rainbow beam, banished forever.
