The Madness of Marekind
The disappearance of Celestia and Luna gives rise to Fascist pegasi, pony-brand socialism, militant nature cults, unethical experimentation, and a whole lot else in this homage to classic social satire such as Catch 22 and Confederacy of Dunces.
Princesses Celestia and Luna, the two most powerful political figures in Equestria for roughly the last millennium-and-a-half, have simply vanished.

This is a fic I've had sitting around in paper form for some time, intended as a ponified homage to classics of satire such as Catch 22, A Confederacy of Dunces, and the works of Voltaire.
