The Kingdom of the Sun - A New Crystal Heart

You know that moment between begin asleep and awake? That nebulous state of mind that seems to be the most comfortable and calm? The moment where once you acknowledge you are still asleep it simply vanishes like mist plunging you into the living world once again? Well, Sunset was very familiar to that place and unconsciously fought to remain asleep but alas, the world calls you, and her bladder was indeed insistent in its calling.

Sunset yawned wide and stretched her body in an almost cat-like fashion; all her muscles felt a little heavy from a combination of sleep and physical exhaustion, it reminded her of the morning after the Friendship Games; the combination of mental and physical activities followed by a fight for survival were enough to knock Sunset out once she reached her apartment and this time it felt similar.

She took several seconds to remove the cobwebs on her mind and start using her brain at full capacity after what seemed an 8 hours sleep cycle; blinking several times she looked at the cream colored ceiling in the apartment finally connecting the dots of why her body felt so heavy, then the full weight of memories hit her all at once and her face would have been capable of lighting the whole building with how bright it was.

Sunset felt mortified about what had just happened and even thought she would like to say that it had been just a vividly dream the way her body ached in several key parts shut down the part of her who just wanted to hide and say to hell with it, it was just a dream; she then got her blush under control and took a look around her room noticing the clothes being currently on the floor, but of a certain woman, not even a hint except the silk toga that she had been wearing before it had been flung aside in the midst of their love making… no, they were rutting, pure and simple.

Sunset stood up from the bed noticing that there was no physical evidence of what had happened except that her skin was slightly sticky from her sweat; she then noticed the Love Tablet (temp name) on her desk with a sheet of paper over it, probably by Harmony.

‘Hey dear, hope you got enough rest; sadly I couldn’t stay and cuddle up with you, these last few months have been very busy and I need to keep an eye on many different things happening around the world, that’s why I need you to create the new Crystal Heart to keep everything under control.

I hope you remember what happened because I will be asking for an encore later on, but on more important things, I will try to answer some question that your pretty little head obvious have by the moment you wake up.

Sunset’s face cycled between annoyance, surprise and incredulity at different parts of the letter and after finishing it the redhead was sure that her life had become increasingly difficult thanks to the machination of Harmony, not that she could complain much.

“Great, I  get my first girlfriend and she all but bails on me telling me to get more girls, the guys at school would die of jealousy.” she said to herself before checking her tablet to see this so called last gift; pressing the button Sunset understood by what she meant by gift. There, as screensaver was Harmony completely bare, one arm under her tits pushing them up while the bedroom eyes the dark haired girl was giving to the camera could fry old school camera film with how smoldering it was.

Sunset’s knees began to shake after admiring the kind of selfie Harmony could do and she started to feel her girlfriend’s other gift start to reappear but just as her new member was starting to grow out the sound of her cellphone broke her trip down memory lane and made Sunset jump in surprise.

After a couple of seconds in which Sunset spend them going through her discarded clothes in search of her cellphone she finally accepted the call hearing the raspy voice of her friend Rainbow at the other side.

“Hey Sunny, are you going to come to Pinkie’s party or not?” the athletic girl said confusing Sunset at those words.

“Pinkie’s party is tomorrow, isn't it?”

“Sunset, today is Sunday.”

“What?” taking a look at the calendar in her new tablet she found out that indeed, today was Sunday, seems that Harmony and her had spent most of yesterday on her bed; now she understood what Harmony had meant about her new stamina “sorry, I just woke up, let me shower and then I’ll go, tell the others I’m on my way, okay?"

“Just get your ass over here Sunny before I go to your apartment to kick it.” the usual tone that Sunset and the rest have dubbed ‘Rainbow Brag’ was clear on Rainbow’s voice, but something tugged at Sunset and before she could realize it her words had escaped.

“A little obsessed about my ass Rainbow?” Sunset said hearing how Rainbow got her tongue tied at those words and after finishing the call Sunset went to her bathroom to prepare. She didn’t know if it was a good idea to reunite with her friends so quickly after what she had done with Harmony but maybe what she needed was some time to relax.

Of course, Sunset’s luck would not allow something like that and the Love Tablet would make sure of that.
