She hates me! That's the only reason she'd say that and storm out. She knows I love her! She knows it was only an accident, right? ... I didn't mean to break it! I didn't even mean to touch it. It just fell... and broke. "Lyra! I love you!"

They threw up! They literally threw up! My best designs, something that I thought would be perfect for ANY formal occasion, and they threw up the outfits were so bad. I'll never sell another dress! Nopony would dare try my designs after that. "Why me?" "W-w-why me-e-e."

Another week, another fifty bits to blow on drinks. Why can't I stay away? I try and quit, spend a nice few days sober, then I crawl right back into a bottle. The mill says if I show up drunk again, they'll fire me. Perhaps that would be for the best, then I couldn't afford to drink, and might be able to sober up. They fire me. Fifteen years of loyal work, and they fired me. Oh well. "Bottoms up."

Oh this is a great day. My nausea has finally cleared up! Whoovsie will be so happy. He was getting so worried that I was nauseous but was still really hungry. "Wait, nausea with a lot of hunger? I wonder..." He's going to be absolutely thrilled, this is going to be a fantastic day. He's always wanted this, and I can't help but feel excited.
"Ma'am, we are the bearers of sad news. Today, at approximately four in the afternoon, your husband got caught in some of the machinery. His death was quick, but violent. We are incredibly sorry for your loss."
"But... but-but, but. I'm pregnant."

I'm so lonely. No pony stays. They all die. Everypony dies! My students leave me! My guards lose themselves! My maids whither. My sister... my sister is far beyond my reach. "Please, Death! Please take me soon!"

Looking into a realm of mirrors and gray fog, depending on the species watching, an observer might see a dumpy scarred woman, or a fat, battered and scarred mare of gray that sometimes blends into the fog. A strange hook can be seen either coming from a finger, or attached to a hoof. The female can at times be seen to drag the hook across parts of her body, doing grievous harm to herself.
A group of rats is often seen coming by and nipping at her limbs, helping their mistress in the scarring of her flesh. She feels the pain, but the pain of the body only mirrors the pain of the soul, that which she feels, and that which she inflicts. She looks through a mirror, noting a perfect portrait of what she exudes and what she imbibes. The mirrors are all filled with the visages of the morose, for she is Despair, and she is limitless.

Author's Notes
This is a little project that I've had in my mind for some time, and found that my lunch break at work was perfect for this. I will admit that Fluttershy's and Pinkie's scenes where the most emotionally taxing to write, and the Cake's scene was probably the scariest thing I've ever written.
