Our Nightmare
Starlight Glimmer did not look out the window of her house, She did not want to see what was going on, but she could not block out the screams or the cries of terror that were going on outside. Night had fallen on the small hamlet known as "Our Town". Above in the sky, Luna's Moon was at Full, but it's light gave no comfort for those ponies outside nor inside. Starlight knew that it would be no comfort for anyone in Our Town now, not since they came.
"I knew I shouldn't have let them into the town." she said to her self, her whole body shaking from fear and anger. "I should have known they would ruin MY vision!"
She had founded the small town of Our Town five years ago, to create her vision of a world in harmony, a world without Cutie Marks, a world where everyone was Equal. She even created a false Cutie Mark that was an Equal sign, one she made up. She had also hoped on finding a way to get rid of her own Cutie Mark.
But then THEY came........
The sound of something landing near the window almost made her jump up from her hiding place near her bed. She knew that it was one of them or one of those Our Town-ponies that they had turned.
She looked towards the mirror that was pointed to the window, but she knew that none of them could be seen in a mirror, nor did they have any shadows. She had read about what these creatures where......
And she knew NOT to invite them in.......
When they came, they were normal ponies, six visitors who had come from Equestria on some mission. Starlight only saw six more ponies to Equalize. To make things even better, one of them was an Alicorn, a Princess of Equestria! That was an added bonus! She had soon removed the cutie marks from the six ponies. But one of those marks was odd, it seemed off, like it had not been natural.......
Like it was a fake Cutie Mark, even more fake then the Painted on equal mark on her flank.
She should have just let them leave or kicked them out.
But No, she just had to try and bring them to her cult and to help in her plans of taking over Equestria and bringing Equality to all of Equestria!
Now that dream was turned into a nightmare.
Starlight prayed to Faust her self that she would not be found, not to be turned into one of those creatures that were now hunting down all those that were still among the living.........
Not to become one of the Undead.........
It was then that she heard it. The very sound of a door opening and the sound of hoofs walking on wood in the next room. Them came a voice from the other room, a small timid voice saying "Come in, My Mistress."
Starlight knew that voice, that sickly sweet voice that belonged to that stupid yellow Pegasus. The one who had betrayed her and tricked her, or at lest tried to before the start of everything. The Yellow Mare, Fluttershy was her name, had seen her true Cutie Mark and was going to tell the others, locked up in a Re-education House. She should have kept them in a cave and made should it was blocked up for all time, that is if she had known what one of them was.
Now that traitor was inviting one of them in, the one that had been the creature that had been among those six.
Starlight knew that she had to escape. Jumping up from the side of the bed, she pushed her bedside lamp, which was a switch to a hidden trap door. The Bed lifted up to show the entrance to the secret tunnel, which lead under Our Town to the Mountains. Darting in, she used her magic to flip the switch to close the entrance, just as she heard something charge towards her. The entrance closed, which had made the thing on the other side angry, roaring with the wrath of a thousand demons.
and Starlight ran........
A few days later, Starlight was in Manehatten, disguised as a unicorn with a green mane and blue fur. She had to hide what she looked like after she had read a newspaper. The Headline was about what happened in Our Town.
CULT MURDER/SUICIDE! FOUR HEROES OF EQUESTRIA KILLED BY PSYCHOTIC UNICORN!
The headline said that Starlight Glimmer had kidnapped the Six Ponies, the Elements of Harmony as she had found out, and stole the Cutie Marks. It also claimed that she later decided that she did not want to be found out, as she had thought that the Princess, Twilight Sparkle, had sent a message to Celestia. In light of that thought, Starlight Glimmer, the newspaper said, had her followers drink a juice made from Belladonna fruit while she killed four of the six ponies, only to be fore to run when Twilight attacked her and forced the mad mare to run away.
What a pack of lies! Starlight thought, as she had been there and knew the truth of what happened. She did not poison her followers, nor did she murder anypony! She could still remember when she had open the door of the shed she had placed the five others of the six ponies in, along with one of her own followers who had dared to question her ways.
What came out of that building was death and terror.
She could still see the blood that poured out on the only street in Our Town, the screams of terror as her ponies were slaughtered by those monsters, creatures that she had thought were only in books and old legends..............
Vampires
She still could see one of her followers, struggling as one of the monsters, the Rainbow maned one, was biting into his neck, blood squirting out from where he was bit. The Rainbow maned mare, Rainbow Dash was her Name, had changed, her fur more darker then it was, more a midnight blue then the Sky Blue, Her eyes were even more red, glowing with the powers of the Night.
But Starlight could remember the wings. Those were no longer the feathered wings like any normal Pegasus had......
They had turned into bat-like wings.
Starlight was never more afraid in her life when she saw what had happened to those ponies and also to the victims of their attack. everyone that was killed by the Vampires came back to life, turned into Vampires themselves, turned into members of the Undead. All they wanted was blood, nothing more.
And they had wanted Starlight's blood most of all...........
Starlight soon snapped back to reality when she heard the far off sound of a train whistle. She soon remembered her reason for being in Manehatten. the Newspapers had said that the Funeral Train that was carrying the bodies of the four mares was going to stop at Manehatten it self. On Board where to be the coffins of Rainbow Dash, The earth pony farmer named Applejack, the Fashion pony named Rarity and the strange pink pony known as Pinkie Pie.
Also on Board was the ruler of the Crystal Empire, Princess Cadence, Fluttershy...............and Twilight Sparkle.
Starlight knew what she had to do, what must be done.
She had to Kill Twilight Sparkle...........
It was easy to get on the Train when it had stopped. Starlight was glad that she had learned the spell of invisibility a few years back, so that she could not be seen by the Guards, nor, she hoped, by the Monster that was on the Train.
She had armed herself to fight against the monsters. a Ring of Garlic cloves, which was hated by Vampires, a bottle of Holy Water from the Temple of Faust in Manehatten.........and five wooden stakes, hardened in fire.
She also had her magic to take on any non-Vampire ponies, such as royal guards and Fluttershy. She could remove the Cutie Marks from any attacking Guards and also from Princess Cadence, should she try and stop her. As for Fluttershy.................Starlight would kill her, snap her little neck or blast her with a fire ball. She did not care what she did, all she knew was that little yellow bitch had to be killed, she was the one who came with the Monster, who followed her. She was the one who invited the very one behind the mass murder in Our Town, into her old house to try and kill her.
But Starlight also knew that she had on pony to kill first: Princess Twilight Sparkle.
As she was sneaking around the train, heading for the train carriage that was reserved for Twilight her self, she happened to overhear two of the guards talking.
"They still have not found that crazed cult leader yet." one of the guards said, he was wearing the armor of the Solar Guard while the other was in the armor of the Lunar Guard.
"Yeah," The Lunar Guard said, "Seems like that bitch up and ran to the Crystal Mountains like the coward she is."
I am no Coward! Starlight thought to her self, resisting the urge to de-spell and yell that the two ingrates. But she continued on her way.
The Solar Guard turned to the Lunar Guard, "I heard that the Apple Family has a ten million Bit Reward on that mare, dead or alive."
As the two continued to talk, Starlight got past them and headed for Twilight's car. Which was near the car they held the coffins of the other four mares. Just as she was going into the Coffin car, she soon heard something that made her stop.
"I also heard that the bodies of the other victims are being sent to their hometowns and families." The Lunar Guard stated, "It would be best for them to be buried in their hometowns."
That made Starlight almost lose her hold on her spell of invisibility. She knew that those bodies were not alive nor dead, but in fact Vampires! It was a terrifying idea and one that Starlight feared. All those ponies, now vampires, were being taken to towns where they would feed and create more of the undead monsters!
Starlight knew that she had to act fast, to kill the monster that had brought this not only to her town, but was going to bring terror onto other towns, villages and cities all around Equestria!
She soon entered the car that had the four coffins in it. Starlight had to walk with out trying to make a sound, not knowing if the four were awake. Outside the Window, Starlight saw that the train had already left Manehatten and was heading south west, to Canterlot. Starlight soon stopped near one of the coffins and decided to look in. using her magic to open the lid of the Coffin, she looked inside.
In the coffin was the body of Rainbow Dash, who did not look like the monster Starlight saw that night in Our Town, but like the Pegasi mare that came into the town a day before. She was wearing a Rainbow colored dress with cloud trimming. She looked peaceful, almost like she was asleep. The body of Rainbow Dash was laying on dirt that was in the coffin, dirt from the land she was killed in, the very soil from where she was turned; Dirt from Our Town.
Starlight closed the lid and soon exited the car, heading for Twilight's car. Already, Celestia's Sun was nearing sunset. That made Starlight almost run. She knew that night was when Vampires were at full power. If she did not kill the Monster, then it would be too late, too late to stop the monster from ruining other ponies dreams, from destroying all of Starlight's plans to bring Equality to Equestria!
The door was unguarded, so she de-spelled her invisibility spell and rushed in. Slamming the door shut after she entered and locked it.
Starlight turned and saw a room that was fit for royally. Wooden tables and fancy chairs were all around with antiquities on the tables. In one corner was a book shelf filled with books. from what she knew, Twilight was a book worm. But it was what was in the middle of the car that was what Starlight was looking at..........
It was a black coffin, made of ebony wood. on the lib was a golden symbol which was the same as the Cutie Mark of it's owner.
This was the very coffin of the Vampire who lead the attack on Our Town, the one who ruined Starlight's plan for Utopia: The Coffin of Twilight Sparkle, The Vampire Princess.
Starlight wasted no time as she used her magic to open the lid while holding in her magical aura a stake. She soon screamed out her battle cry; "THIS IS FOR OUR TOWN!!!" Starlight screamed.
But she soon stopped and had a look of horror on her own face: The Coffin was empty! No sign of Twilight Sparkle, just a lot of soil. Starlight was now scared, Twilight was somewhere and she did not know where!
"Looking for somepony?" a voice said from above Starlight. The Unicorn mare looked up and saw to her horror the figure of a pony on the ceiling. it's head turning like an owl's head. It's eyes glowing blood head. The thing soon dropped from above, turning it's body so that it landed on it's four hooves.
Twilight Sparkle had changed from the mare that Starlight had met. Her mane and tail were darker now, with a blueish stripe in place of the purplish-pink streak she had. her body fur was also darker, more a midnight purple now. But it was her wings and mouth that Starlight could see had changed even more. The wings had become more bat-like while what Starlight saw poking though the lips of Twilight that made her shiver in terror: Two fangs, which NOPONY should have.
Starlight soon regained her composure and glared at the Monster in pony skin. "You!" Starlight yelled, "You ruined everything!"
"Are you still going on about your stupid 'Equality is Harmony' bullshit?" Twilight asked mockingly, her eyes flashing as she grinned like a shark, her fangs showing even more.
"It is not Bullshit!" Starlight yelled, defending her views. "I created a perfect society! One with out stupid Cutie Marks! But then you came and tried to ruin it, then you decided to kill everyone! YOU DESTROYED MY VISION!"
"You mean that totalitarian dictatorship that you called 'Utopia'?" Twilight sneered, her face looking more like a predatory beast then a civilized pony. "It was a farce of harmony! nothing but a way to enslave others! You took away the minds and identity of the ponies you 'Equalized' and made them into your own slaves!"
"I gave them Freedom!" Starlight exclaimed, now pointing the stake she had at Twilight. "I gave them freedom from the oppression of Cutie Marks! The Oppression that Celestia uses to hold on to her throne! I gave them TRUE Friendship and Harmony! For that, I will end you and take revenge for what YOU DID! NOW DIE!!!!!"
And with that, Starlight propelled the stake with her magic, ramming it into the chest of Twilight Sparkle, right into her dark heart. Starlight breathed heavily, smiling a bit as she saw Twilight's eyes bug out in pain and blood leaking out of the wound.
Then Twilight started giggling, then that giggle turned into a demonic laugh. Starlight's face soon had a look of horror as Twilight pulled out the stake from her chest. The gaping hole where the stake was had started to close up, soon disappearing with out any scars.
"Starlight, Starlight." Twilight said, shaking her head and smirking with an evil gleam in her eyes. "You may have read books about vampires, but you read the wrong ones." She glared at the unicorn, "I am not one of the normal vampires that Vampire Hunters kill, I am a Vampire Queen! Far more powerful then the Vampire Thralls you read about in books and unlike normal vampires, I. Can.Not.Be.Killed!"
Starlight Glimmer was now frightened, Yes she had heard that nothing could kill a Vampire Royal, save for a Sunstone and those were thought to be mythical. Scared like a child, Starlight held up the necklace of Garlic and pointed at Twilight. "S-s-stay back!" Starlight whimpered. only for Twilight to grab it with her magic and she bit into one of the cloves.
"Yum!" She said, with out any repulsion, "I should really get some garlic later, for pasta night. Spike is really good at making pasta that can make your tongue think it was in heaven."
Starlight was now screwed, nothing was working against this fiend from beyond the grave. But she had one last weapon, the bottle of Holy Water. Taking the bottle with her magic, Starlight soon squirted the blessed liquid at Twilight, hitting her right flank and wing.
Twilight soon gave a in-equine screech of pain, the fur on her flank and Cutie Mark turning black and bloody like she had been burnt with fire or acid. This made an Opening for Starlight to run past the Vampire Queen and head for the door. only for four guards to block her path. They were coming in, with spears at the ready to impale Starlight Glimmer.
Starlight soon used her magic to pull out the other four stakes, ready to take out the guards, even if they were normal ponies. She was not going to be taken alive.
Suddenly, she felt herself not moving, trapped in an aura of magic. her stakes also taken by the same magic. Between the Guards, two ponies were now entering the room, one was the Traitor, Fluttershy. the other was no other then Princess Cadence herself. her horn glowing with magic as it held Starlight Glimmer in it's grasp.
"I do not want to do this," She said, glaring at Starlight, "But you gave me no choice."
Suddenly, Starlight was flung back against the wall of the Train Car, her back pressed against it and her front and back legs pinned in a spread-eagle position. Then the four stakes flew through the air and soon struck their mark: going right through the legs of Starlight Glimmer.
Starlight howled in pain, blood sprayed out of where the stakes hit. through the tears, Starlight saw Fluttershy take Twilight out of the car, while Cadence glared daggers at the Unicorn.
"You dared you attack a Princess of Equestria who is not only my friend, but my Sister-in-law!" She yelled, tears also flowing out of her eyes.
"F-fuck you." Starlight said, powering her horn up before she felt something sharp at her horn, which was soon cut off. Starlight Screamed in horror as the horn fell onto the floor.
"I see that you are a threat to everypony in Equestria and while I am against the death penalty, I think that the only way to stop you is that you have to die." Cadence said. The Princess of love soon turned away and walked to the doorway, exiting the car while the four guards kept an eye on Starlight, she was hanging on the wall of the train car, crucified.
A few minutes later, she came back in and looked at the guards.
"Leave us." Cadence said with a low tone. The guards all marched out of the train car, not looking back at what Cadence was going to do. Already, Starlight had lost alot of blood and was weak from blood loss.
"You came to kill me/" Starlight said weakly.
Cadence only glared. Then she trotted over to the unicorn. "What you have done was nothing short of attempted murder." She said, "You claim that you did it out of revenge for what happened in your town, but what you did was only for your own selfish feelings."
Cadence looked into the eyes of Starlight Glimmer. "It was not Twilight that killed her own friends and turned them into vampire thralls nor was it her that cause the worse Vampire attack ever. It was all you!"
"Y-you're wrong." Starlight said.
"When you put Twilight and her friends into that prison, you took Twilight's pack from her and took out two small vials, did you not?" Cadence asked, glaring even more.
Starlight did remember taking to vials of some off orange stuff in it, pouring them out in front of Twilight, who did have a look of horror on her face.
"Yes," She said, "But why is that impor-"
"Those vials were full of a potion, one that kept her vampire self from coming out!" Cadence said, "and you dumped them like trash! You cause Twilight's Vampire self to take hold and turn four of her friends into her thralls! You cause her to take revenge on your whole town, feeding on them YOU MASSACRED THOSE PONIES!"
Blood red tears soon came down from Cadence's eyes, which now were glowing red. "For that crime and all others," Cadence growled, her fur turning dark and her wings now turning into bat like wings. "You will pay for your crimes!"
Starlight soon saw to her horror that the Princess of Love, the ruler of the Crystal Empire, had changed from a kind Alicorn, into a monster, a Vampire Queen.
Cadence wasted no time as she soon roared and bit into Starlight's flank, ripping out a piece of it, where her cutie mark was. Starlight screamed in pain and terror, which soon increased as Cadence soon bit off her other Cutie mark.
"You wanted to be rid of them? Didn't You!?" Cadence yelled before she soon lunged ad bit into Starlight's Neck.
No one Outside the Train car herd the dying screams of the Mare that was once the most Evil Mare in Equestria. After Cadence was finished, all that remained was a dried up corpse, which would be thrown out.
With tears of sadness for what she had been forced to do, Cadence walked out of the car and never looked back.
