Chapter 1 Arrival

Princess Twilight walks along the halls of her Castle she had spent the last 3 days In her study pinkie and Fluttershy had been sent out to  deal with a friendship problem just past the crystal empire, rarity was working on a large order of dresses, It was Applebuck season at sweet Apple acres and Applejack asked for rainbow dashes help meanwhile twilight and spike had spent so much time In her study twilight was kneeling on a small carpet with dozens of meter high stacks of books "Ugh! Spike where is the book on mysteries and monsters?" Spike shakes his head "we gave that to princess Celestia's Library a while back remember?" Twilight sighs "oh right what about ghosts, ghouls and goblins?" Spike searched for a few seconds "nope we gave all those supernatural books to the crystal empire you said we would never need them" twilight makes a loud groan before standing up and stretching she goes for a trot "my hooves are sore in going to stretch my legs you wanna come?" Twilight asks spike who was now sitting with his face buried in a comic book "no you go ahead" he mumbles as he reads more about comic book super heroes twilight giggles light at the sight of spike reading through his book "okay have fun" but before twilight can start walking a book on her reading desk glows yellow spike looks up and stares at twilight  awaiting a reaction "that must be sunset shimmer" she thinks to herself she levitates it towards her and opens to the newest page that has been written on and it reads

"Dear twilight I really miss you it's been a while and I would love for you to come visit....if your not to busy that is pinkie, rarity, rainbow dash, Fluttershy and applejack have their own plans and all my school work is done for the break so I have nothing to do If you have the time...maybe you could stop by? Hope you get this soon

Twilight smiles at the writing a clear identification that it was sunset shimmer she levitates the book back to her desk "spike would you like to come with me I'm going no to visit Sunset shimmer at CHS" spike looked back at his book "but I can't read this as a dog?" Spike complains and twilight giggles "it's okay spike you don't have to I just thought you might wanna come hang out you keep reading and if anything happens you can come after me" Twilight smiles bright and walks to where she set up her portal when she visited them a while back she inhales and enters through the glowing and colourful portal she swirls through an comes out infront of the school she tries to stand up but wangled for a second "oh right in gonna have to get use to this" she stands up for a second still a little wobbly before she regained her balance she looked around the school was out for a break and she didn't knew where sunset shimmer lived so twilight began to look around the school after a while of looking around she  reaches the north east end of the school where sunset shimmer is reading a dark purple and blue book, she reads it unaware twilight was there twilight slowly approaches and looks over her shoulder as she reads the final sentence " As the young woman walked through the dark he close friend appeared from the darkness like a creature from the abyss her glowing purple hair swung over her shoulder and she pressed her lips against the red head's" twilight blushes at the image in her mind "ahem....hello" twilight says in a sudden excited tone and sunset shimmer's face turns as red as the streaks in her hair "oh..hey twilight!" She says with a sudden burst of energy "whatcha reading?" Twilight asks in a curiosity to see if we would lie about it "oh uhm just a work of fiction by one of my favourite writers JC. FoxWurt" twilight smiles it reminded her of a writer from her world named JC. FoxWurt "what's it about?" Sunset shimmer wasn't prepared for that question "uhm it's uh it's about 2 friends that discover a mysterious force that surrounds them" sunset shimmer figured twilight wouldn't recognize the metaphor for love and she was Right twilight simply figured it was a supernatural force that attempts to take over the world "oh would I be able to read it sometime?" Sunset shimmer blushed "uhm I don't think you would like it it's kind of a lame novel it's one of my guilty pleasures I like to ready sappy love stories" twilight shrugs it off "okay well what would you like to do?" Sunset shimmer stands up and places her book in her backpack "well for now you wanna go to the cafe where you first met flash?" Twilight nods and starts to walk in the direction of the cafe "wait how did you know that's where I saw flash for the first time?" The two of them walk down the street the cafe was only a block away it was a long walk and sunset shimmer responds to her question "uhm I was kinda following you after we met I was trying to get dirt to mess with you" twilight smiles "it's fine you have changed for the better and I forgive you for it" sunset shimmer smirks with a half smile "thanks" they approach the doors and twilight opens the door and sunset shimmer followed her the walk to the counter and order a few treats and lattes sunset shimmer places a small bill as they walk to a small booth they sit across from each other "so what have you been up to Sunset?" Twilights takes a quick sip from her drink as sunset shimmer replies to her question "well I have still been trying to find out how many forms of magic I brought to this place I know of 2 of them the first is Friendship Magic and the second is musical magic I want to see if there is any dangerous types of magic I brought here" twilight smiles and takes another drink "I think there are only a few types otherwise we would have seen it" twilight reassures sunset shimmer she smiles and they finish their drinks discussing various topics such as magic and events coming to CHS in the coming months as the day progresses and twilight speaks more with sunset she realizes him much they truly have In common

"So what kind of studies have you been focusing in in equestria?" Twilight recollects the past 3 days "mostly creatures from the everfree forest that have been rarely documented but I gave away all my books to other libraries actually my studies were Just finishing when you wrote me so I was actually going to be fairly bored if you hadn't wrote to me" sunset shimmer smiles "oh well then it looks like I did something useful for you" they converse over a log period of time discussing their lives and slowly noticing similarities in their lives "what about you what project were you working on that you had finished before writing to me? Sunset shimmer pulls a large book titled extinct and endangered species "I was writing a report on the different endangered species that reside in this region not urban regions but forested areas" they discuss their similarities for several hours and begin to discover many fact at about themselves "so how is life as a princess treating you?" Twilight laughs a little bit "very strange I just tried to stop a cult that tried to make equality a normal thing the crazy mare stole everypony's cutie marks and tried to control them with her own but we were able to stop them she disappeared into mountains so she is still out their planning but who knows maybe she will give her self up" sunset shimmer laughs "wow that's...really crazy she stole cutie marks and tried to make everyone equal?" "Yeah" "but would they really be equal I mean unicorns, pegasi they all have physical features that don't make them equal to earth ponies or each other" "I never really though about it I guess not" for hours and hours they conversed about things they have done
