Chapter One: The Forgiving Luna Theater Productions
Coco was inside her apartment in Manehattan. She sat down and was drinking fruit tea looking through a new photo album she had made about the Charity Kindheart Story with help from her friends in Ponyville Rarity and country cowpony Applejack. She felt like the happiest pony in all of Equestria. Her eyes began to water. “Thank you Rarity. Thank you Applejack”. She said to herself while she looking at a photo she found of her with them and the cast of the Midsummer Theater Revival behind them.
All of a sudden Coco's intercom buzzed. She was about to drift off to sleep but luckily, she heard it just in time. “Who is it?” She asked in her timid voice. “Ms. Pommel? This is Musty Colting, the manager of the Forgiving Luna Theater. May I come up and have a word with you?” “Of Course”. She replied and then pressed the lock release from the downstairs door and let him in her home.
Coco and Musty were now sitting by the coffee table discussing what he would like the raising star of Manehattan would like her to do. “I have heard so much about you Ms. Pommel. About how successful your production was in the Midsummer Theater Revival”. Musty said or “Mustford” as he's known in full to which he doesn't like anypony calling him. Coco then blushed after he mentioned the success of the Midsummer Theater Revival.
“So let's cut to the chase”. He frowned a bit after what he was about to say which of course made Coco worry: “I wasn't up to giving you to shot at this because you as you know my company is very successful”. “Yes. I know that Mr. Colting”. She answered after drinking her tea. Coco did offer Musty some tea but he didn't want any. “But after so many persuading, insisting and gossip from my staff and my customers I eventually gave in and decided to make a risk. He continued. Coco now had a suspicious look on her face.
“Let me finish please”. He asked looking slightly worried but not too much. He then said: “I would like you to make my production as successful as the Manehattan Theater Revival. “Oh, I don't think can do that. Coco interrupted. “Why not?” Musty asked. “I'm only a costume designer. The last play besides Charity Kindheart's was “My Fair Filly”. “That's just it Ms. Pommel. I need you to design the costumes for “Poniyo and Fillidette”. Musty Colting said. Coco then looked pleased and relieved after he said that.
“Now that I can do !!” She said with a spring in her hoof. “I'm so glad”. He said looking pleased with the news.
Now here's the million dollar question would she have to go all the way to Ponyville to ask Rarity for some help? Well as it turns out she never needed it. Because months later Poniyo and Fillidette sold like hot cakes and was a complete success !!
“Fillydelphia the Musical” came afterwards. It seems Musty Colting picked the right pony to work with doesn't it? Mustangia the town where Ms. Peachbottom lives would have wanted that play to come to her but I don't think that may happen. To remind everyone Ms. Peachbottom was the pony the Mane 6 thought was the Equestria Games inspector. They were giving all they got to give the Equestria Games to the Crystal Empire. Did they succeed? You'll have to find out yourselves I'm afraid.
Good news just kept on coming for Coco Pommel because she just right this minute had a phone call saying that she has received an award nomination because of “The Princess Cadence Story” !! The two toned blue mane off white earth pony had no idea how happy she really was right now. But what she did know is that she HAD to invite Rarity and her friends immediately.
It was decided and confirmed by the organisers of “The Plays that brings Manehattan Happiness and Joy” would be held at the Manefair Hotel.
One by one the Mane 6 of Ponyville received their letters informing them that they are invited to the Manefair Hotel to see if Coco won the “Plays that bring Manehattan Happiness and Joy” award she's been nominated for. Twilight was the first reply to say she is coming, Applejack was second to give it the Eeyup. Oh wait that's Big Mac's line, sorry. Pinkie Pie was third to say she could come and of course being her usual self she couldn't be more excited about it. She just kept rambling and rambling to herself and asking random questions like will Coco win, can she invite her family or should she change her mane style? Rainbow Dash was the fourth to say yes. She was going to write no but she knew that her friends would be disappointed in her if she did. However there were some ponies who hesitated when reading Coco's letter. Which I'm sure you'd understand because Fluttershy is a timid pony who really doesn't like big crowds and Rarity? Well her business chain is growing successfully.
Coco was really happy when Applejack, Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie replied back which Pinkie Pie's letter involved a “Party blast” with confetti when she opened it which made her laugh. But afterwards, she started to worry about Rarity. She really wanted her to come !! After all it was Rarity who helped her make a name for herself by realising that working for Suri Polomare was a big mistake. Rarity gave Coco her first job by working on Rarity's behalf designing the costumes for “Henny of the Hills”. So it was vital that Rarity comes to the ceremony.
Two weeks later, the awards were only one month away. It was early in the morning and Coco slightly managed to catch the first train to Ponyville. But what she didn't notice that in her carriage was a light pink pony with a purple mane and tail. She was talking to another pony possibly Cherry Berry until she spotted Coco trot passed her. She was shocked and angry to see her as Coco was trying to find a seat. She (Coco) enjoyed her ride eating a bagel and drinking orange juice but still she was concerned over Rarity's answer when or if she meets her at Carousel Boutique.
Eventually she arrived in Ponyville train station. The weather however wasn't like what you see in the brochure or postcard the gale force winds were strong and it was sprinkling with rain. But never mind, her main mission was to bring Rarity to Manehattan to see if Coco has won the any award in the Manefair Hotel.
She tried to seek shelter from the rain by going inside Ponyville town hall and she did with success. After the weather seemed to calmed down Coco went outside of town hall and happened to bump into Twilight Sparkle the Princess of Friendship. “Ah. Ms. Pommel. Thank you in advance for inviting me to see the Plays that bring Manehattan Happiness and Joy awards”. She said. “Oh. You're very welcome Twilight but have you seen Rarity anywhere?” Coco asked in a coy voice. “I think she's in Carousel Boutique and oh congratulations on your nomination”. Twilight answered. “Thank you so much Twilight”. She said while giving a blush.
She was about to trot to the Carousel Boutique until she remembered to ask if either Twilight, Applejack or Pinkie Pie managed to persuade Fluttershy to come to the event. She managed to catch Twilight again and then asked her. Twilight answered: “It took a bit of time but Applejack and Pinkie Pie managed to convince her to come along. “Oh that's good”. Coco said with relief. “If only I can do the same to Rarity”. She thought to herself.
