Faith

Twilight Sparkle is a lone in the Everfree forest testing phycological effects of a mind when placed in a situation that caused much fear. She normally had Spike or Dash to help her when conducting experiments in the forest, but this one, she needed to do alone... She was scared, but at the same time excited to be able to do some "real science" as she would always say. The forest is a pretty scary place in Equestria, and there is rumors of evil spirits or monsters. She knows monsters don't exist. Twilight based this on the fact that Zecora lived in this forest, and might have scared off the locals. To her, this was a proven fact. In fact, this is how she rationalizes her fear or understandings by rationalizing everything. She believes this is the right way of doing things...

As she explored the forest, it was silent, and dark even in day. But, she found a nice clearing where she can stay and study her own effects.  She lied down, took out her pencils and papers, book on "Physiatrics for Ponies" and began to stare into the Forrest. She heard a few branches snap, but rationed that it was the old trees falling in the breeze. Hours went by, she was bored, not even scared anymore, and the experiment was a flop...

"Hello Twilight, Twilight Sparkle..."

Twilight jumped in terror and she frantically looked around for the voice, she was gathering her things to make a quick dash out of the forrest. Her heart was racing and she kept looking everywhere.

"If you keep looking around like that, you are going to get dizzy."

At that point she just left her stuff, but suddenly a colt stepped out in front over her, and she ran right into him. She was knocked back and left in a daze.

"I'll count that one on the fact you were dizzy" the colt murmured.

Twilight regained her composure, looked at the colt and questioned

"Do I know you?" she said

"I hope so, because it seems that I know you..." he replied

The colt was way too well dressed to be out her in the forest. He had a top hat, suit, vest, everything. Even shoes, on all four legs! She inspected him every way to try to remember him. But she simply couldn't.

"I am pretty smart and I am good at remembering faces..." she said

"Are you? Do you remember Lyra?" he asked

"Who?" she said

"She was a girl in Canterlot, same town you lived in, you two used to know each other. Nice girl, until she went to the party and was killed doing some stupid stunt. You would always guide her not to do stupid things..."

"Not really?" Twilight was a bit skeptical of this colt now

"Then why would you remember me Twilight, you have forgotten more important ponies than me..."

Twilight got a little fed up with this, first he scares her, and then questions her great mind!

"All right, what kind of game is this?!" she commanded

"I don't have a game Twilight, listen, sometimes I just wish I knew more about life... Wish, I had better guidance."

The colt walked slowly to the edge of the clearing. Twilight was puzzled by what he has said.

"Listen, a friend of mine is down in Ponyville, and I think she is going to do something she is going to regret."

Twilight now was really confused, she questions that any of this has happen. This is just her mind playing tricks.

"Who do you think I am, like I would fall for this!" Twilight smirked

"I know who you are Twilight, just if you have the time to go back to town..." the colt said while slipping into the deep forest.
