To stare towards the sky, watching the sparkling diamonds that enveloped the entirety of its celestial surface. One would contemplate the everlasting vastness that this whole universe had contained. A spacious anomaly that exists to be watched from afar. A piece of art that only a few can truly appreciate what it all stands for. The sight of Rainbow Dash flying through the atmosphere, swiftly landing to the ground near after catching everypony's attention. There in the safe grassy plains outside of Ponyville was everypony watching the stars. She landed with a loud thud, digging into the dirt a bit. Scraping off the excess earth from her hooves, Rainbow Dash walked towards the group of her friends that were sitting together on a blanket.
Murmurs of conversation could be heard from the spot they were all in. The remaining five, along with Spike were waving their hooves at her to hurriedly come. Rainbow sprinted towards them and within a few seconds was next to their spot.
“Sorry I’m late guys, I had lots of Wonderbolt training to finish.”
Twilight nudged her head to her, “Well come sit down, the party is about to start.”
Rainbow Dash sat down and watched the sky with her friends. Though she didn’t know what exactly awaited them. She still knew that it must have been worth it to rush through training for.
“Hey Twilight, you didn’t tell me what…”
Sparkle suddenly shushed her, it seemed that whatever was happening was about to start. Rainbow looked away and begrudgingly watched the sky to whatever it could have been.
From the sky, a flash of light and a powerful spark of flame came from a blip above. The stampeding thing came closer to the Equestrian earth. And the expressions of the pony patrons turned into excitement and awe. The giant great ball of fire went spiraling down at great speeds before it went and landed a few miles off. The force of the blast caused Twilight to create a quick shield spell that covered their group. Pinkie Pie flew from the force into the protective barrier and slowly slid down while stuck on it’s surface. Fluttershy cowered like a scared foal at the destruction the impact created. Soon, the force died down to reveal what the landscape had become.
The tree’s surrounding the area were burnt to a mulch. The grass decimated by the furious flames of the meteor’s hit. Nothing, but a black crisp covered the surface around them. The rest of them excited to go over, cheering for the decimation that had come. They all went their way to the crater. Rainbow Dash sitting and watching in shock at what she had saw. Twilight paused and went up to the disturbed pegasus with a raised eyebrow while everypony else including Spike went on.
“What, just happened!? Everything has been burned down!”
Twilight gave a large chuckle at Rainbow’s confusion, it was just too good to see her so bewildered.
“Aww come on Rainbow, just follow me and you’ll see.”
Rainbow Dash stood up and scratched her front hooves with each other; the mix of confusion and nervousness was just too much for her. She started moving forward, though a bit hesitant at what was in store. Pinkie Pie bounced over while the rest walked on four hooves. They arrived at a small crater where the density of ash nearly created dust clouds with each of their steps. They gathered around it and searched down for the meteorite.
There, they caught the black ball of hot space rock sitting idly in the middle of the hole.
“It is time, Rainbow Dash. You shall see what we’ve been waiting for so long…”
Rainbow bit her lips as she stepped back a few steps, to which she walked forward to see what this could possibly be. The rocks started falling apart; the crimson light emerging from the cracks breaking over the rock. Faces illuminated with a red tinge over their faces. Then, an explosion of energy that broke off the rock matter away to what was contained inside to reveal none other than, Starlight Glimmer.
“Oh Celestia! That was the best thing ever!” she said, giggling from the sight of her friends.
“What... just happened?”, said Rainbow Dash looking down at the unveiled pony with her small irises.
And from above, came Princess Celestia and Luna. Landing in the crater and lifting Starlight Glimmer up to the surface while she smiled. A cracking sound was suddenly made in Rainbow Dash’s mind.
“I do hope you enjoyed your trip,” Princess Celestia said as she laid her down next to the others.
“Yes, we used to do this together all the time and never thought of it working with normal ponies such as yourselves,” Luna said.
Rainbow Dash stomped the ground, “What is going on!?”
They all looked at Rainbow Dash, with their own face’s of confusion.
“Wait, you don’t know?”, questioned Pinkie Pie with concern.
“No I don’t, can somepony please explain?”
“Hmm, I think it would be best if we… let you experience it for yourself.” said Celestia with a smirk.
Suddenly, an orb of energy surrounded Rainbow Dash, she was helpless to escape.
“No wait!” she screamed, before disappearing into thin air.
Rainbow found herself surrounded by the depths of outer space. Stars could be seen far off from the distance. Planets millions of miles away, yet seeable at that distance. Behind her was a giant expanse of darkness that stretched for an eternity.
Welcome Rainbow Dash, this is outside of our planet. Prepare yourself for this…
“Wait, I can’t do this!”
Then, she started flying through at high speeds. Her little sphere protecting her from the very space she passed through. Screaming all the way long, she finally slowed down to see the planet of Equestria in her sights. And then, she picked up energy as the ozone made impact to her vessel. Fire growing from her entry, before she finally hit the earth with a explosion.
The rest of them approached the crater, her escaping the ball of dirt and black stone.
She would try to speak while shaking furiously. Her eyes blinking unnaturally like some type of epileptic pony. She took a deep breath to compose herself from this. Slowly pausing the shake and with all her might, stopping the blinking. Rainbow Dash dug her hooves into the ground.
“That… was... Awesome!” she said before leaping into the air.
