Blackhoof and his friends were close, despite being different. His mother, Princess Luna, passed away giving birth to him, and he wants to know more about her.

Though Twilight Sparkle stayed young, being an alicorn, her friends grew old. By the time all six of them turned forty, they had to find new bearers. As soon as they were found, one, however, was left out. An ancient evil awakens and the seven friends need to stop it by using their secret weapon: The Elements of Harmony.
