//-------------------------------------------------------// Shimellow -by BlueSupernova- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Alone //-------------------------------------------------------// Alone Sunset lay upside down in an arm chair in Vinyl's basement/studio,bobbing her head along to the new song she has just created called All Four Walls and it was fair to say she was proud of herself as this was one of her favourite tracks that she had created. She had recently released her first single,as the new EDM artist Shimellow,Alone but she has yet to learn how popular it got within the past week since Vinyl was keeping it a secret from her. "So..do you think I'm finally ready to release an EP to the public?" Sunset asked,her head shifting upwards slightly to look over at Vinyl,who looked over at her,before letting her head dangle again while her swinging feet hit the outer back of the chair. "I'd say so but EP's are only meant to have three or four songs,five at most;you've created about 10 so you should pick what ones you want to put on this current EP. I suggest the best ones as I will be presenting this to my record label's managers and while I still techinally own the label they have the power of who stays,who comes along and who gets booted," Vinyl explained while turning her head back to her laptop to open up a couple of folders with multiple files in them. Sunset closed her eyes and pondered for a moment. She knew the songs she picked would have to be the best ones which created a problem as she thought all of them were great. Self-gloathing aside she thought long and hard before opening her eyes and smiling. "Use Find me,Summer,Bounce and Freal Luv," Sunset spoke up while listening to Vinyl click around on her laptop. She rolled herself around so she was now sitting upright in the arm chair,flinging her arm on the side. She leant her head back and looked up slightly at the poster of her that hung on the wall. She had to wear a white helmet with x's for eyes and a massive smile on it so her friends and her girlfriend wouldn't find out it was her since her hair was quite...vibrent. She also wore a white jacket with her persona's logo on the front and back. She only chuckled at her persona but it always made her smile for some reason. "And...done! All the song you picked are on the CD and are ready to be shown today. Oh yeah and your video for Alone reached one million five hundred views over the past week," Vinyl spoke as if it wasn't a massive deal. Sunset however thought it was a massive deal,scrambling out of the chair and running over to Vinyl at an almost unholy speed,gripping the shorter girls shoulders. "One million five hundred?!" Sunset almost screamed,her smile getting wider and wider by the second which began to creep out Vinyl. Sunset noticed this and shook her head,her smile dying down a little but reamaining there none the less. "Yes,Sunset you've become a hit. Its just a shame you can't tell your friends," Vinyl spoke,brushing herself off slightly before giving Sunset a sad look that was even noticeable behind her purple neon glasses. Sunsets smile had faded completely and turned into a small frown. The older girl sighed and ran a hand through her hair,her head tilting back slightly. "I'm just...waiting for the right time," "And when will that be?" "...my first live preformance as Shimellow I guess," Sunset replied before glacning at her phone to a message from Rarity causing her smile to return. "Hey Vinyl I gotta take off but text me the results alright?" Sunset spoke before quickly rushing off before Vinyl could get a word in. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Sunset was leant back against her pillows on her bed that were up against the headboard,adjusting her reading glasses slightly while she contiuned to read her book. She glanced down every so often to the purple haired girl currently sat in between her legs,smiling at how her face lit up when she saw her get more and more likes on her Instagram page. Sunset bookmarked her page and placed the novel to the side,closing her arms around Rarity and nuzzling the girls neck which earnt a giggle from the fashionesta and a small kiss planted on Sunset's cheek. "How's your page coming along?" Sunset asked,glancing at Rarity's phone before back at the girl who had now made her way out of Sunset's arms in order to sit in front of the firey haired girl. Rarity reached down into her bag and pulled out some sketches so some new clothing designs which just caused Sunset to raise an eyebrow at her girlfriend. Rarity shifted through the pictures before realising she hadn't replied. "Oh! Sorry darling I got a little caught up in my own little world! My page is doing marvelously but it just means I need to stock more clothes and designs due to high demmands. Honestly I just wish you could understand how hard it is to be succsessful like this," Rarity spoke without lifting her head before noticing what she said might of come across as quite rude "Oh no offence,darling," "None taken," Sunset waved her hands in front of her before glancing from sketch to sketch,her eyes shifting to look at Rarity before back to the sketches "Do..you want some help?" "Would you mind?" "Rares I wouldn't of offered if I didn't want to help," Sunset replied with a gentle and warm smile which cause Rarity to sigh lovingly at her girlfriend,leaning over and placing a small peck on the bacon haired girls lips. Sunset could only blush slightly before clearing her throat. "So uh..what was your next project idea going to be?" "Well I really was wanting to do new designs for that new artist everyone at school is talking about,Shimellow. They share a similarity in name with you which is excatly why I'm going to incorporate you into my designs too!" She spoke with a happy clap and a smile while Sunset was pratically sweating bullets. She doesn't know thank god "Why thank you I am deeply honored," Sunset winked at her girlfriend who just rolled her eyes and shook her head at her Sunset's playfulness. Sunset shot her a smile before she looked down,her eyes darting from one design to the next before she finally picked two and pointed at them. "I think you should combine these two," Sunset spoke with her head hanging low due to her focus on the pictures. Her eyes finally shifted upwards to see what Rarity's reaction. To Sunset's relief,Rarity had a wide smile and did a small clap. "What an excellent choice,Darling!" Rarity spoke with happiness dripping from her voice causing Sunset to just let out a breathe she didn't know she was holding. She leant back and looked at Rarity as she was scrolling through her phone,her legs now over the edge of the bed. "Another follower?" "No I got an alert," "Care to share?" Sunset asked curiously,now leaning forward slightly again. Rarity glanced at her girlfriend and only gave a nod before responding. "Well Shimellow has finally been signed to P0N-3 Records and has released EP plus a brand new single!" "A..new single?" Sunset asked curiously,the whole excitment of her getting signed going straight over her head at this point. Sunset knew the EP would release but a new single? She heard her phone buzz and she was quick to see who it was. 'You'll thank me later' - Vinyl. Sunset put her phone face down on the bed before looking back to Rarity. "Well play it outloud," Sunset finally said,fumbling around her desk until she found the aux chord for her speakers. Rarity glanced at the aux chord then at Sunset then back at the aux chord before finally taking it,plugging it into the headphone jack of her phone. Rarity began to play the song,almost instantly she began to sway along. Sunset tried not to show her shock. This was I Loved You aka her secret project she had just finished. How Vinyl found this song she'll never understand as she kept it in the one folder that has a password. Never the less Sunset joined Rarity in swaying,while doing so she noticed a massive smile of her girlfriends face. "Well we now know that Shimellow is a girl since the last song she did had her voice synthasised,she clearly has strong feelings for this one person and that she has an absolutly stunning voice...it reminds me of a certian someone with an amazing voice," Rarity purred,crawling over to Sunset and capturing her lips in a short but sweet kiss. Before Sunset could react Rarity pulled away and jumped off the bed,bouncing towards the closed bedroom then opening it and shooting a wink towards Sunset,running off down the hall. Sunset blinked three times before she smirked,scrambling off the bed and chasing after the purple haired girl. "Come here!" Sunset yelled down the hall,finally catching up to Rarity. She wrapped her arms around her and lifted her off the ground causing Rarity to yelp but laugh loudly as Sunset spun her around. Sunset laughed with Rarity until it finally died down and she looked into blue eyes,smiling lovingly at the girl in front of her. The smile was returned as Rarity looked down at Sunset,since she was still being help up,before cupping her cheek. "I love you," "I love you too," Sunset replied,lowering Rarity slightly to place a kiss on her lips while grinning. Rarity responded by cupping both Sunset's cheeks,kissing back softly while a smile crept onto her lips. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Sunset and Rarity opted to watch a movie and order a pizza. The pizza,of course,caused some disagreement because Rarity was trying to 'lose weight' as she was apprently 'getting fat' and Sunset argued that the statement was bullshit and she was perfect the way she was. Rairty could never resist Sunset's sweet comments so she finally caved in and ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. Sunset had a shit eatting grin on her face the whole time that Rarity tried to scare off her with a glare but Sunset only thought it added to her cuteness so Rartiy gave up and just cuddled into Sunset on the sofa. While still annoyed that she couldn't get under Sunset's skin at all she still held a gentle smile at the thought of how she got so lucky. Sunset chewed on a slice of pizza,her cheeks puffed out causing Rarity to giggle and poke her right cheek. Sunset shook her head a bit and swallowed her mouthful. "Why?" "Why not?" "Fair play," Sunset chuckled,placing a kiss atop Rarity's head. Rarity nuzzled her neck before looking up to speak. "Are you coming to the Shimellow concert on Saturday?" Yes it's my concert "Unfortunatly no I must take a rain check," Sunset said,not liking to lie to her girlfriend but having to at least until Saturday. Sunset frowned slightly when she saw Rarity visably deflate,rubbing the back of her neck with a sigh. "Tell you what. I'll take you to dinner anywhere you want to make up for it," "Really?" Rarity perked up,turning in place slightly to look at Sunset better,who just nodded. "Oh thank you darling!" Rarity exclaimed,jumping into Sunset,who just chuckled,for a hug. Sunset returned the hug,resting her chin on Rarity's head while a smile and a sigh. "But you better where that white tuxedo.." Rarity trailed off as she slipped out of the hug and winked at a now shocked Sunset before exiting the room. "How did she.." Sunset whispered before it suddenly hit her,running after Rarity yelling "Stop going through my closet!" -_-_-_-_-_- Sunset was back stage adjusting her helmet and jacket. She looked in the mirror and sighed,jumping slightly when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She spun on her heel to see Vinyl grinning at her. "Welp. The wait is finally over," "That..it is..." Sunset replied with less enthusiasm than Vinyl expected which caused the neon haired girl to raise an eyebrow. "Whats up? I expected you to be more excited," "I am but..when I do reveal myself Rarity will know I've been lying to her and I've been thinking about what she could say and what could happen and I'm scared and I-" Vinyl put a hand over Sunset's mouth mask to get her to stop rambling,giving the new edm artist a soft smile. "Sunset. You can cross that bridge when you come to it. But for now just focus on rocking that concert," Vinyl spoke before giving Sunset a short hug. Sunset smiled behind her mask before returning the hug. "When did you become my guidance counciler?" "The day you decided to date the most dramatic girl in school," Vinyl replied with cause Sunset to let a short but loud laugh. Vinyl let out a chuckle before making Sunset turn around,giving her a little nudge forward. "Now go and be the star you were born to be," Vinyl spoke as Sunset just nodded and walked forward. She was slightly blinded by the sudden bright lights as she walked onto the stage but they soon adjusted and what she saw shocked her. There were hundreds of thousands of people in the audience and they were all cheering for her. Well obviously she knew they were just cheering in genral due to the fact she was preforming at a festival but she still felt like a small portion were for her. As she reached for the mic to introduce herself she glanced to the front bar and saw all her friends including Rarity. "Soon," Sunset thought to herself. "What is up Canterlot?!" Sunset yelled into the mic and got a roar in responce from the audience. She chuckled at that before contiuning "My name is Shimellow and I'm hear to blast your ear drums into the next dimension!" After getting another roar in responce Sunset took the mic with her to her setup and began to spin the track Freal Luv, smiling under her helmet when she saw her friends instantly get into the track. She began to jump up and down, moving her hands around to get the crowd more hyped. Maybe this whole situation wouldn't be so bad. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- It was coming to the end of Sunset's set so she held the mic up to her lips under the helmet and spoke. "Alright guys this is my last song," She heard the crowd boo and let out collective 'awhs' which on;y cause her to laugh lightly. "Don't be like that! This last song is one you should all know so I except you to join in! Especially you pretty lady!" Sunset spoke, pointing to Rarity who just went bright red and giggled while giving Shimellow her signature bright smile. Sunset had to quick regain her composure or she would of scooped her up right there and then. Moving back over to her setup she began to play Alone and the crowd start to go wild. Bobbing her head to the beat, Sunset flipped a few switches before holding the mic up towards the crowd for them to join in the chours. "I'm so alone! Nothing feels like home!" The crowd sang to her while they swayed to the beat. She kept the mic in the air but tilted it slightly so it was facing the direction of Rarity and her friends. Bouncing along to the beat she put the mic away as the chorus break down began. She took a deep breath and started to hype the crowd up. Sunset jumped up onto the front of the staging area while Vinyl took over her mixer,taking the mic with her, and slowly began to remove her helmet. She could hear the crowd screaming 'take it off, take it off' including Rarity. With a massive gulp she removed it completely and heard a deafening scream echo throughout the venue thanks to the crowd. When the second part of the chours dropped,Sunset jumped up and down while throwing her hands in the air like the rest of the crowd. She didn't dare want to look at Rarity just yet. Rarity felt time stop around her. She felt like she was in a dream. Her own girlfriend was the fastest growing dance producer in the world right now, her girlfriend was Shimellow! She mentally slapped herself for not noticing the subtle hints it was her in the artist name. She had finally tuned back into the real world in what felt like forever to the sounds of her friends voices. "Holy shit is that Sunset?!" Rainbow yelled over the crowd. "It is oh my gosh! Go Sunset! Woooo!" Twilight screamed at her friend "Way to go, Sunset!" Applejack cried as well. "Sunset! Sunset! Sunset!" Pinkie Pie chanted loudly. Rarity swore Fluttershy shouted something but even her shout was still inaudible. Rarity looked back up at her girlfriend on stage and couldn't stop the huge smile that began to grace her lips. When the chours had finished she finally looked over to Rarity but what she saw shocked her. Rarity had the brightest smile on her face and her eyes were wide and lit up. Sunset could of sworn her jaw had drop because she was expecting a thrashing and angry, dissaproving looks. She quickly snapped out of it and shot Rarity back a bright smile as she held the mic up to her lips. "Thank you Canterlot! My name is Sunset Shimmer and I. Am. Shimellow!" Sunset yelled into the mic and got a roar in responce. Sunset winked at Rarity before going back to her mixer to finally finish off her set. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Sunset sat on an equipment crate backstage with her helmet beside her, scrolling through her phone as she sipped on a can of Monster Energy. She stopped when her vision was blacked out by two hands covering her eyes. "Guess who?" "Well if this isn't Rarity then it's gonna be a really awkward encounter," "Oh it's me,Darling," Rarity purred,walking around to face Sunset slowly. Rarity sat on the crate in front of Sunset, who was sat with her legs open and leant forward slightly, and began to run a hand up her girlfriend thigh. Sunset's breath caught in her throat, looking at Rarity with her mouth open ever so slightly. "You know...you lied about taking a rain check. That wasn't very loyal of you...you should really be-" Rarity stopped her hand at the top of Sunset's inner thigh before looking up at her with a seductive grin "-punished," Sunset gulped before letting out the breath that was caught in her throat, smiling sweetly at Rarity while grabbing her hand. "Rarity. Babe. If you think I'm above taking you right here on these crates then you are sorely mistaken," Sunset growled, putting her drink down and launching forward, envoloping Rarity in a tight embrace. Rarity cried out and began to laugh. "Sunset! Down girl, down!" Sunset held on tigher until Rarity stopped trying to escape and returned the embrace. Rarity looked up at Sunset with a soft smile and began to lean up. Sunset met her in the middle and captured her lips in a sweet kiss, moving her hands to her girlfriends waist as Rarity wrapped her arms around Sunset's neck. They both pulled away, foreheads touching and smiling widely. Sunset was the first to speak up. "So...am I forgiven then,Miss 'I'm the popular and famous one in this relationship'?" Rarity fake gasped and playfully punched Sunset's shoulder before giggling. "Of course you are. Now come on, the others are waiting ," Rarity turnt on her heel and began to walk towards the exit only to be stopped when Sunset grabbed her hand and pulled her back into her arms gently. Rarity raised an eyebrow at Sunset, who only smirked at her. Sunset leant down and whispered into the purple haired girls ear. "Let them wait," Sunset didn't hesitate to kiss Rarity, this time with more passion, pressing her up against the wall as she did so as Rarity began to kiss back. The others could wait. This moment belonged to them. Author's Note This was in my what I like to call 'my I want to finish this story but motivation is restricting me from doing so bank' but I finally got around to finishing it and I'm sure happy I did so because I honestly loved this idea when I started it.
